Medium Hot & Sour
Justin T.

This place has good food and it's inexpensive. I would consider coming back here because of the value. I will say I really liked their pork egg rolls, delicious, much better than most places. The Hot & Sour soup, the Won Ton soup and the 3 ingredient Kung Pao were good but certainly not the best I've had. The place itself, the service & ambiance are about what I'm used to from a Chinese place, it's not run down but not fine dining either. The waitress will occasionally check on you. Ultimately, if you're looking for a good place that won't hurt the pocket book, you may have found your place- the lunch specials are very inexpensive. I have no regrets about coming here, I may come back to try other entrees and have the egg rolls again. Happy eating!!

Exterior

The exterior is very unassuming, with its strip mall and cheesy font on the sign. But the interior is actually pretty cute, and everyone inside was very nice and welcoming. I think they must have a lot of regulars, as the servers mentioned that they hadn't seen us before and hoped we would be back. And boy howdy will we be. We got the Mongolian beef and the orange chicken. The Mongolian beef was so good- sliced onions and a fresh garlic heavy sauce. My husband asked for both dishes we ordered to be medium spicy, and that was a little much for me, but he loved it. The orange chicken was breaded and fried, with a sauce that was amazingly multi layered, with a fresh orange slice and orange rind scattered throughout. We did ask for both fried rice and steamed rice, and only got the fried rice. I think I'll stick with the steamed rice, the fried rice was the least interesting part of the meal. Everything else made up for it in spades however. Highly highly recommend. Will be adding this to our regular rotation.

I've been here a few times and I always seem to order the same thing~ bbq pork fried rice. It's amazing! I stopped by the other day as well and my mom ordered the shrimp lomein and literally she finished in 5 minutes lol. I tried it as well and have to admit it was quite tasty. A little too much salt and grease for my taste, but the taste itself was on point. I also tried the combination noodle bowl and enjoyed the flavor as well; however, I thought the meat was pretty greasy. I think I will stick with the bbq pork friend rice~ honestly my favorite! Service is 5 stars, great ambiance and always busy.

definitely a worm.. it was moving... garlic beef and fried rice.

I am very disappointed so much money down the drain. This worm/caterpillar crawling around my food. Disgusting!

This is a wonderful very clean local restaurant with a great lunch special. The service is quick and friendly. We went here for an enjoyable work lunch and were well fed and taken care of. I had the Hunan Chicken and the flavor and crisp vegetables were delightful and the portion size was filling- we even had leftovers. If you dine in for lunch you are provided a soup a free soup. Highly recommend!

This is my family & I 2nd time here in Denver and after finding this place the 1st visit we make it a point to come to this location. We're located in Georgia so I think we have a good sense of good Chinese. I always get the Mongolian beef with fried rice (no egg; I'm allergic) My husband always gets the General Tso chicken with the fried rice and he ALWAYS orders this and never has a complaint. My son gets the Sesames chicken also with fried rice and it's sweet and crunchy as they fry the chicken to mix in their sauce and it's worth every penny. Every time! Service sometimes can be short in communication but expected especially when they're working all day and don't have time to eat but their food never misses! It's never crowded or busy when we come no matter the time of day, never noisy always sit at a booth. I highly recommend this place I will always come here when visiting Denv

I am so glad that they are so consistent and have not changed recipes or adjusted seasonings. Ordered our two favorites - pickled pepper beef and mapo tofu. Then the string beans and a new dish - sauerkraut fish filet. The sauerkraut fish filet reminded me of the Vietnamese catfish soup but no sweetness added. Very good dish and will def order again. Also love that they have quality rice here.

We ordered the fried tofu (with peppers and onions), orange chicken, fried fish fillet, and veggie delight (mixed veggies). The fried fish fillet was definitely the standout. Perfectly crispy on the outside with a light, tangy layer of sauce that added flavor without making it soggy. Easily my favorite dish of the meal. The fried tofu was also really solid and flavorful with just the right amount of spice. The peppers and onions complemented it well without overpowering the tofu itself. The orange chicken was okay. I tend to compare orange chicken to Panda Express (probably unfair, but it's my benchmark), and this one didn't quite hit that same balance of crispiness and sauce. I think if it had a bit more meat within each piece, would be better. The mixed vegetables were decent but not something I'd order again. They felt a bit drenched in sauce and didn't have much depth in flavor. One of the highlights of the visit was meeting an elderly woman who helps out when it gets busy. She mentioned she was the former owner. She was incredibly kind, and we ended up having a really nice conversation in Mandarin. That personal touch made the experience even more memorable. Otherwise, really nice venue with lots of space and tables. Waiters always refilled my water, which is a good plus. Also gave me fresh rice when I took the leftovers to go. Overall, a solid meal with a couple standout dishes. I'd definitely come back for the fried fish fillet and tofu. Will be back to try their other dishes.

The chicken soup dumplings, pork potstickers, and the ice cream was all very good! I wasn't such a huge fan of the tufu pork belly noodles. I'm not really a fan of tofu but I didn't really like the noodle dish in general. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful and well designed. The wait staff was also very friendly. I would like to come back here and try more items from their regular menu.

Lately it feels like a lot of restaurants are charging more while giving less, and it's getting harder to find places that actually care about the customer experience. Unfortunately, this was another one of those experiences. We ordered three side dishes and three drinks, and the bill came out to around $100. Two of the three sides were served cold, the dumplings at least came out hot, but they were pretty mediocre and nothing I'd order again and drinks were extremely over priced. The waitress was fine, no real issues there, but it did feel like the food may have been sitting in the kitchen too long before it hit the table even though the place was empty. At the end of the day, it's hard to justify paying that kind of money for cold, underwhelming food, then feeling awkward about the tip because the experience just wasn't good. I won't be back. If I had known this is what the experience was I would have definitely gone somewhere else. As an added bonus I felt like crap afterwords, I think it was because of poor quality ingredients. My aim in writing these reviews is to highlight the restaurants and businesses that truly take care of their customers, to give people a heads up about the ones that clearly do not prioritize quality or the customer experience, and to express myself in a world where it often feels like there is very little room to speak honestly about paying top dollar for mediocre experiences. Very disappointing.
