I've made a couple of return visits since my first visit here, but I have to say that my most recent experience will be the last. I ordered the chicken with lemongrass. The chicken (if it was chicken) was of a very low grade and didn't taste like chicken at all. I wondered what I was ingested. I was offered a "to go" box. I accepted, but threw it out as soon as I reached my next destination. Interestingly, I noticed that you now receive a fortune cookie in a wrapper--something I commented on in a previous review. However, it is the cheap brand that has no orange or vanilla flavor. Crab wontons are awful. There's little crab or cream cheese flavor; the mixture inside fails to arouse the senses, unless repulsion is one of them. Time to find another option--the scoop places produce better food than what's on offer here. read more

This place is great! Just moved to the area and exactly what I've been looking for out of a takeout Chinese restaurant. Bonus points for being super friendly and having a pretty strict Chinese menu. I love Thai and all the variations, but sometimes places try to do too much. This was a very disappointing experience. I ordered delivery from here and was excited to try this place because of the good reviews. As soon as I opened my food container it stank like rotten meat. I ordered the happy family which is usually my go to entree because it has a little bit of everything in it but it was awful and sour. I was sick in the bathroom within 15 minutes. This place is hidden in a strip mall but it is a gem! I usually get the sesame chicken or mooshu chicken!! The portions are huge and delicious! I would recommend their hot and sour soup as well! I have have never eaten in, I always take my food home, but the employees always seem very happy and helpful! We've been going here for about 4 years now and have never had a bad experience yet. The owners are warm, friendly people who remember so much about us whenever we see them and are always welcoming not only to us, but to everyone else that we see come in while we're there. The restaurant is small and usually a nice quiet place where you can actually HEAR the people sitting at the table with you. (What a concept, eh,?) It is clean and attractive and nice to go to. The food is amazing! Not only is it delicious every time regardless of what we order, but they quantities are incredibly generous. We always have enough each for dinner the following night. You really have to try this place! And if you do - try the house special egg rolls! We love these egg rolls and could make a meal out of just them! Let me tell you - if I were stuck on a desert island and I could pick one food to eat for the rest of my life..... I'd want Chan's to keep bringing me these egg rolls! Lol. I went to Chan's to grab a quick lunch. It took a while to figure out what part of the strip mall it's in because Siri will just run you in circles. The restaurant looked like what a traditional Chinese restaurant would look like, I feel. There is parking convenient to the restaurant. It was about 1pm when I went, there was only one other table in there when I walked in. The hostess was nice and was ready to take my order or answer any questions I had. I ordered a lunch special of sesame shrimp. The shrimp look so big and golden, there was a lot of fried rice, and I ordered the crab Rangoon and Chan's special egg rolls. The lunch came with regular eggrolls as well. I asked for spicy chili oil because I love my spicy food! The chili oil was pretty good, not as spicy as I thought it would be. I wanted a bit more heat, it was similar to what the hottest sauce at Taco Bell would be like heat-wise. The regular eggrolls were light and crunchy, I liked them. The Chan's special eggrolls were AMAZING. Tasty, crispy, whatever it was filled with was really good! The crab Rangoon was good too, nice crunch, tasted more like a crab Rangoon than a pocket full of cream cheese. The actual meal however, was a little disappointing. The fried rice had pockets of plain white rice in it, some parts were dry and hard as if it had been sitting there in the pot for a while. The flavor was bland, and there was no vegetable or egg mixed in to it. The shrimp was also misleading. I thought I had big shrimp the size of my thumb and index finger curled. What I was seeing was just breading, and the shrimp were almost popcorn shrimp sized. It was too much breading and I ended up just throwing the whole meal away. Overall, I'd like to think that maybe it was an off day, or maybe I should come for dinner when there's more business in there. But the quality of food should stand for itself at all times. Overrated. While the customer service was great, the food wasn't nearly as good. It just didn't have flavor. Ordered their Lunch special Beef Broccoli with steamed rice which includes Wan ton soup. What I got was Beef Broccoli with FRIED RICE and NO Won Ton soup. Disappointed . PS. Why are there Latino's posing as Asians at Asian restaurants? I should've took a photo. P.S.S. I'm disappointed in the Denver Metro Area so far. I have yet to find some great food at a great price. I'm on a tight budget. The best spots so far are Fazoli's and Popeye's in Thorton. This is a hidden gem. We were here visiting from Minnesota and I wanted Chinese food. We decided to give this place a try. It exceeded all expectations. I had the moo goo guy pan and hubby had hunan chicken. Best moo goo I've ever had. Nice and garlicky! The hunan chicken had the right amount of spice! The real treat were the crispy pork egg rolls with fish sauce. Best both of us have ever tasted and I don't usually like egg rolls. To top it off our server was excellent. Cons: The food seemed to all taste like soy sauce. When I expect good Chinese food I like tasting their awesome spices like ginger, garlic, etc...A bit expensive considering the lack of flavor in the food. Came here on a Saturday night coming from The Denver Airport and was craving Chinese food. I picked this place! I'm glad I did because our food was delicious. I ordered the orange chicken, and my boyfriend got the happy family. Then we ordered the cream cheese wontons, and wonton soup. Well everything was on point! And FAST! My husband liked the fried rice. Calm dinning atmosphere. The bad: the menu is like a book, kinda confusing since there is so much in it. Our chicken tasted like it had been fried with used shrimp oil, not a good flavor. I wish the chicken was more crispy & spicy in the general tsao & seaseme chicken. Overall had an AMAZING experience with my family. We ordered shrimp fried rice, orange chicken, fried rice, wontons, and egg rolls. The food was phenomenal! Our server Dennis went above and beyond in taking care of us. He showed us a special way he mixes soy sauce and hot oil sauce to add spice to the rice without ordering the rice spicy so that the whole family could enjoy. As a person who grew up in the Chinese restaurant industry, their food was very mediocre. We ordered the Mongolian beef, beef lo mein, hot and sour soup, and pork egg rolls. My brother thought the food was gross and the pork egg rolls were old and stale. Hot and sour soup wasn't spicy at all and pretty bland. The only dish we finished was the lo mein which I liked. We ended up wasting all the food. Was a disappointment as the reviews made it seem like it was good. Growing up with Chinese food all our lives, this place wasn't even decent enough for us to be back which is unfortunate. read more
