Came to boulder for the first time in awhile with some first timers and saw the Avanti food hall and we decided to try it out! I decided to try Quiero Arepas and it was great! Fresh and didn't take long at all. The sweet plantains were amazing and came with plenty to share! The setting is casual! My arepa was filling and so delicious! I highly recommend checking them out if you are in the area.

Tonight we tried the Arepas at Quiero Arepas who returned to Avanti this spring. We sadly missed them the first time they were here. I had the Original with the add of fresh mozzarella. My husband had the shredded beef, the Pabellon. They were both wonderful and they were every bit as large and beautiful as the pictures on their website menu. I simply could not finish something that large. Next time I will get the more simple Domino and just add plantains. Those were some of the best I have ever had. The corn cake pocket was warm and fresh and grilled, not fried. Their passion fruit juices really refreshing and enhanced the food. It was so gorgeous we started eating as soon as they were ready so I forgot about pictures until they were nearly finished. In the 5 minutes it took them to make our food I had just enough time to get a clear shot of their space. On the first floor on the Boulder Avanti.

Tried queiro arepas at the avanti food hall and it was pretty good! There are a couple options that all look pretty yummy and the staff is very nice. The arepa is pretty filling but slightly the expensive side. I like the food hall too there are some nice options there

I am always eager to try new dishes and in that front the arepa I ordered was quite good. I ordered the Reina Pepiada. 45 minutes later the arepa was ready. The long wait killed one of the stars. Yes, they were busy but the staff did not seem to be in much of a rush either. The dish was prepared sloppily (yes you can see them make it) and the guasacaca was all over the wrapper and plate. Enjoyed the arepa but was expecting better service time and a neater presentation.

It's pretty small in here, but there are a few stool tables that can be used if you wanna have your item right away. The place is very clean, which I love. It's the first thing I noticed it is what I appreciated the most. This is definitely family owned or something. You could see the young lady that was there working in real time on many of the baked goods and the young man at the register was very kind and explained everything on the menu. There was a big TV with the Denver playoffs on, so I truly appreciated that while waiting. Oliver items were baked to perfection. The dough is really good almost a salty taste to the bread which I enjoyed. Our Venezuela donut was amazing. Everybody loved it and the custard was luscious delicious, not too sweet and just right and filled to the brim.

They seem to be everywhere . I love the signature Pico Arepa, though I always consider trying something new. Reasonably priced, stuffed with ingredients, and always makes me full. The sauce is key. I had nothing against Pico Arepa but I've had other arepas from other trucks and found them to be rather disappointing. However, I was too hungry + drinking on an empty stomach severely limited my options. I left my bar stool to see whatever options they had with low expectation and enthusiasm. I got there during a slight lull and didn't have too much time to decide since I was the second in line to order. I asked for a recommendation and they said the best seller was the shredded beef option, the Pabellion with the green sauce and salsa. I also got advised/convinced to get the fries as well since I mentioned I was hungry. They let me know of the wait because of all the people but it wasn't that bad, especially since what I got was for larger and tastier than I expected. The arepa I've had before were like bao size but the ones here is basically a burger size hunk of meat where I didn't need the fries. I mean, I ate the fries of course because they were delicious; the thin, crispy kind that went real well with that green sauce. Definitely the highlight of my visit, not the beer.
