Honduran tacos
Dionne V.

Came to this spot based on other Yelp reviews. It is located in s strip plaza near s huge Dollar Tree . That said what a delightful size and atmosphere for some home Mexican or Honduran food. I chose the tacos Hondureños and my sister had a steak platter fit for a king. We were served a chips and salsa I loved! The service was good and it helps if you know some Spanish but I am sure they can help you if needed. The prives are decent and it was worth the 12 minute drive from Midtown. Muy rico!

This place is a good find! I have never tried Honduran food before, I'm glad I did. The food is similar to Mexican but has some different options. The place itself is relatively large, it has a jungle kinda vibe and has plenty of seating. Walk in and seat yourself, a waitress will bring you menus & free chips and salsa that has cheese on top- really good. I can't say I'm an expert in Honduran food by any means but I think that most likely this place is better than most. We tried the tacos, the tostadas & the pupusas. Everything we tried was really good, I like the tacos the best & my wife loved the pupusas. Ultimately, I would come back to this place. The food takes awhile to come out (maybe 15-20 minutes) but it definitely worth going and trying. Check it out! Happy eating.

Great variety of food. With really big portions. Very attentive waitresses. Latin music. They were even playing dragon ball movie on the TV lol

We decided to try this new restaurant today. It's Honduras and Mexican food. We were in a hurry so got our food to-go. They have a pretty extensive menu, so we'll be back to try some of the Honduras dishes. We ordered a smothered chicken burrito, a bean tostado, a guacamole tostado, and a slice of flan. I only waited 20 minutes, but everything was very good! Flavorful, filling and very fresh. They do not have a liquor license yet and they do not have a public restroom, but this is a decent size restaurant. Clean inside and out. Good service. They share a large parking area with other businesses. Check them out!

Very good Hungarian food. This is the first place I have ever had Hungarian food at. We had the Carne Asada Con Tajades and the Fajitas De Pollo. Started out with Jungó pequeño. We really loved the food.

Best Mexican I've ever had. Fajitas were huge and delicious. Homemade tortillas and sauce. Service was also incredible.

My husband and I shared the carne asada con tajadas and we were pretty sure we could have fed a third person off our plate.

I have been dying for a good baleada since leaving New Orleans, and it was a Sunday morning, and I decided you know what, we are going to find somewhere today! Although this place is 35 minutes away from my home, I decided a good baleada is always worth the drive! Before I go further I have to explain what this delicacy is! A Baleada is a traditional Honduran dish, a flour tortilla filled with refried beans, sour cream, and crumbled hard cheese, and it can also refer to a "shooting victim" in Spanish. The one referenced above is called a 'Sencilla' or a simple one. There is also the one that adds carne asada too it, which I recommend. So I made the drive out to Lempira, and the parking was pretty limited. Maybe about 12 parking spaces total. Went in and was blown away at the beauty of the interior! There was photos of Honduras and El Salvador on the walls and I was in awe! There is a long bar on the right hand side of the restarent when you walk in as well! To speed things up, we paid and drove home. The baleadas were good, BUT I was shocked at the size of it for the price. That is the only reason I am giving four stars. It was smaller and less full than the past ones I have had. Overall, we enjoyed the food and would most definitely come back to try a good Sopa De Mondongo (Cow Tongue Soup) or the popular Pollo Con Tajadas!

You could drive past this place one hundred times and never even see it. Heck, you might not even think it's an open and functioning business. It simply doesn't draw your eye. But, stop in and learn about handmade food that is exceptional. It was just one woman working inside and my order took 20 minutes for her to make. Why? She was hand making every single item. I could hear her back there pounding the bread and doing it all manually. The product she turned out was some of the best Mexican/Honduran food I've had lately. The cheese enchiladas and the cheese pupusas were simply mouth watering and I will be ordering them again. The woman who made all this was friendly and very helpful. She seemed genuinely happy I was ordering food from her place. She might be the owner from the level of care she put into my order. The building itself is nothing to speak of. It looks like a run down old house now zoned commercially. It sits under a dilapidated highway advertisement sign. It simply doesn't look like much but a treasure trove of food is happening inside. Give this place a chance, you won't be disappointed. They do have a few tables inside to eat at as well as a few tables outside. It's not in the best area of town but these kind of truly authentic places after aren't. I'm still smiling from the food. Don't forget to try the actual watermelon juice, it was also "off the hook" good.
