I love empanadas and these guys did not disappoint! We ordered a bunch of them (chorizo, corn, mushroom, veggie, spinach) and they were all wonderful! The chorizo, corn and mushroom ones were really good! There is no seating area in the restaurant so expect to get takeout and then find a place in the Village or you can even take them up the mountain as we did.

    Hand pie, pretty tasty

Walking by and couldn't resist trying one. $5.50 per empanada and they have loads of options. We grabbed a vegetarian corn one and it was pretty good. We split one of the hand pies as a little appetizer. We were there 5 minutes and they had at least 4 customers in that time at 3:45pm on a Monday (Keystone Resort). Small but has one table inside and plenty of seating outside.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! From what I hear, this just opened for the 2023 ski season, hence the absence of other reviews. It's a little shop- best for takeout. They have a little table with a couple of chairs inside but I wouldn't really find it comfortable to eat in. It's located right by the ski school check in so we found it very convenient to buy them as fuel before lessons. We tried the following flavors with the following opinions: - Corn Empanada - very creamy and surprisingly good. Sort of surprises you because the filling is more ooey gooey than you might expect but the taste is nice. Went back for more. - Eggs and sausage empanada - meh - Regular chicken - pretty good - Spicy BBQ chicken - YUMMY YUM YUM DELICIOUSNESS! Once we had this flavor that's all we kept buying. Now mind you- we looove spicy food so this hit the spot. Very flavorful. We came here like 4 times over the course of a three day trip lol so as you can see we HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I hope this shop sticks around. It's nice to have something different from the American fare featured at allll the other restaurants at the resort.

Tennessee Chicken was AMAZING! Nice buttery crust, cheesy chicken, can't go wrong. I wanted to try them. Thanks for making it so convenient.

Prices a bit on the high side, but so is the quality of their products. I loved it. Indoor and outdoor seating. Easy free parking lot. Smoke menu. I'll be back to try many other items.

While I was there though I was not going to pass up the chance to get some empanadas but since I didn't come with an agenda I just told the guy behind the counter give me two choices of whatever you think is good. I appreciated when instead of questioning or getting confused or asking a follow up he just "you got it boss" and entered in the choices without thinking twice. I knew that he was a real one for this. I got my mate which they have on tap! On tap mate is dangerous but it was very delicious. They had two flavors one mixed with orange juice and one that was simply sweetened (not overly sweet at all. Less sweet than any yellow canned mate you might be thinking of). I tried both choices and the orange juice one was really good but after a full glass I felt a little weighed down. I can't remember the last time I drank that much orange juice. The food comes out and this is where my review is going to get unhelpful. I have no idea what either of these are called and honestly I don't need to know. The flavors were on point for both. One was a traditional seeming empanada with a ground beef mixture on the inside. Not spicy but the flavors were robust. The outer layer of the empanada was also flavorful but fell apart a bit from the heavy sog of beef filling. The taste was still great for all of it and it came with some kind of chimichurri adjacent sauce on the side that was maybe the best thing about the empanada. The second choice was less of an empanada and more of a tart or small pie? It had cheese and corn for the filling and was extremely gooey. Like more gooey than it had any right to be. I don't need to tell you that the combination of crust, cheese, and corn was delicious. If anything it was maybe a little too simple but I could eat that any day of the week and be happy. I got a wonderful table outside under some shade and gave my baby daughter some bites of the meat filling. She loved it. Left after drinking two more cups of the standard mate and felt amazing.
