Came here with a friend for a Sunday night at 6:30pm reservation. The restaurant was busy. We ordered the Navajas - razor clam with bergamot and fennel; Croquetas de jamon; Pulpo and flan. Everything was incredible. Portion size of navajas was kind of small. The other dish portions were decent. My friend and I agreed that we would go back with a larger group so that we can try different dishes. My only critique is I felt like the restaurant seemed really bright. They could dim the lights a bit and maybe throw some small candles on the tables to give it a warmer ambience. Also, service was a little haphazard. We had 3 different waiters wait on us. I mean, it was no big deal. It just seemed a little unorganized.

What an experience!! Went last night (3/5) and they've been open a week, and you would think they've been around for a bit! This is how it's done! Service - from the minute you walked in the door you're greeted, and our table was available/ready (for our reservation) so we were seated immediately, and the service commenced, choices of water, cocktail menu, wine menu and food menu - all explained, and we were given time to decide, no pressure. Everyone was friendly, made you feel like you knew them with their hospitality. Food - WOW, WOW, WOW. I've been to Spain, this food right here is like being there, it transported me back. We purposely skipped lunch, because we had seen the menu, and had our eye on some things, but were suggested other items (which we got) - listen to their suggestions, you will not be sorry. Portions are perfect - the Gilda is literally a 1 bite perfectly balanced gastronomical wonder - and the chefs put their own spin to offer variations. We had the mussel one, and it was straight out of the ocean - just like the oysters - it's amazing when you realize, there is no ocean nearby. Jamon - they carve & serve table side Cinco Jotas - and it is the best Jamon ever. I have never seen that ham in the US, and they have it, even the plate, keeps the ham at a perfect temperature so the fat stays just right. Shrimp Bikini - DAMN. I'm not a bikini fan when I've been to Spain, but here - WOW, think shrimp cheese toast kicked up to 1000. Get the bread. The bread is freshly baked and crusty on the outside, soft inside, and the butters that accompany it - perfectly salted and smoked. Croquetas - I've been known to have eaten a fair amount of croquetas in my day, but these - I don't know what they've done - but they are cream, flavorful, you can taste the jamon, but not overpowering the croqueta.. Delicately balanced and hard to not order every time. Pulpo - charred, juicy, tender - again, no ocean nearby - yet is was so delicate and fresh, and the potato that accompanied it, was the perfect vessel for the char. Our server suggested a 'larger' plate, since we had lots of tapas - and we went for the Iberia Secreto - another religious experience. Do not freak out when you see that it's pink - it's not underdone, this is how pork is meant to be eaten in Spain, it was charred, tender and so flavorful. Ok, and I have to comment on the fries. Perfectly cut fries - and crispy outside, and soft inside. We of course had room for dessert, and went for the churros and the cheesecake. The churros were sooo crispy and flavorful, not that they were flavored, but normally churros taste like fried dough - and it's the dipping sauce that give them flavor - these, don't 'need' to be dipped, not that they have a specific flavor - but the dough/mix is so balanced, that if you forgot to dip, you're still good. The cheesecake. If you've been to Basque Country, you know this cheesecake - but until you come here, you won't know how that Basque cheesecake could be improved. The cheese used has a slight acidic taste, and is perfectly balanced to the char of the cheesecake - and another don't freak out moment - the cheesecakes in Basque area are charred - as in black - this isn't - someone had to take this out the split second - it was gorgeous and delicious at the same time. Wine list - incredible selection of wines, we are wine people - so we will expand outside the Spain zone - as a Portuguese wine was suggested, but we had our eye on a Raul Perez bottle - and got that, and of course it didn't disappoint. But the wines displayed - some I've only seen in Spain, so how they got them blows my mind. Will we be back - enough that when we left, we made another reso for next week. And we can't wait!

We were about to get a last minute reservation for Saturday - although the bar seating is nice and cozy and usually always has spots open. The host Chase was super friendly and welcoming. He sat us a bit early, and he offered some of his recommendations. Most of the dishes are made to share. We started with the olives and iberico jamon. The jamon melts in your mouth! For steak, it's all about your preference. We opted for the dry-aged cowboy. Super smooth and not very fatty compared to some Chicago steaks we've had recently. Don't skip on the jamon fat fries or the sunchokes! We were too full for dessert but everything looked so delicious - and they use seasonal ingredients!

We went for apps/lunch and drinks. The view is so gorgeous and who doesn't love seeing mountains while enjoying a perfect red sangria? I mean, such good vibes and what a perfect spot to enjoy an afternoon. I can only imagine sunset. We got the pimiento peppers which were so good--the sauce is out of this world. The salad had the best vinaigrette and while I didn't take a picture (I was so excited to eat that I forgot), the steak frites was out of this world. The jamon fat fries were insane. So crispy and so flavorful. But the steak? Woah. Not a big portion, but that's not surprising for tapas! Cooked perfectly, seasoned perfectly-- aka, perfection. I'm so sad I don't live closer to Boulder. If I did, I'd be a regular. You have to go here!! Plus, the service was so good and fast! Our waiter was very kind and attentive. Again, it's tapas so expect dishes to come out when they're ready. So glad we went here. It was the best choice for us to enjoy a little lunch/app/happy hour. Can't wait to come back once I'm in Boulder again!

I absolutely love arepas and the second I saw this place in the Avanti food court I knew I had to get it because I've been craving good Venezuelan arepas rellenas for so long. I'm vegetarian which they had multiple options for and I decided on the 'La Original' arepa with black beans, plantains, and avocado, and I requested for cheese on it as well which they added free of charge. The arepa was everything I could've ever wanted and it didn't fall apart while eating it even though it was super full which was good because that does happen often with poorly made arepas. I also got the sweet fried plantains which had cheese and their special sauce and were so so good. The employees were kind and attentive and the food came out in about 5 minutes because there was pretty much no line. I loved this place and wish I lived in Boulder so I could get it more often. Si te hace falta una buena arepa venezolana, te juro que este lugar no te decepcionará, ni en su calidad, servicio al cliente, ni su autenticidad. Lo recomiendo con todo mi corazón y te juro que saldrás lleno y contento.

After sitting down, about 10 minutes went by without anyone acknowledging me. I eventually had to wave someone down just to ask if I could get a drink, and the response was that they hadn't seen me there. Later, when my drink was empty, I had to wave someone down again to order another. When my friend and I decided we wanted appetizers, we once again had to flag someone down to place the order. This was on a Tuesday night and there were only about 6-7 people sitting at the bar, which is a pretty slow night for them. To be fair, once we did receive our drinks and appetizers, everything was excellent as usual. However, the service throughout the night felt inattentive. I stayed from about 6 PM until 8:15 PM, so it wasn't a quick stop, it was a full evening, and the lack of attentiveness stood out. I still enjoy this place and the food and drinks are great, but on a slower night the service really should be more attentive. Every customer deserves to feel acknowledged and taken care of.

The space is cozy yet elevated, perfect for a date night or catching up with friends over a great bottle of wine. Highlights? The bacon-wrapped dates (stuffed with house chorizo!) were next-level. The roasted beets with pomegranate molasses were fresh, tangy, and perfectly balanced. And the charred beef tagliata? Chef's kiss. Cocktails were just as impressive. "Blueberry Skies" was bright and layered, and the Aperol Spritz was honestly one of the best I've ever had -- citrusy, bubbly, and not too sweet. If you're looking for a spot that nails both ambiance and flavor, this is it. Will 100% be back!
