These folks are rock stars! We decided to meet up with a bunch of friends to celebrate my daughter turning 21. It was 5pm on a Friday and I did not have a reservation (I know, lesson learned). We had about 15 folks that ultimately decided to meet up. They were super accommodating. They got us in a space that could do 12 and as folks came we squeezed in. When an adjacent table opened up, they added that to our group. They did separate checks for us and did a group gratuity that was most definitely deserved by their staff. We ordered two of their large Combination Boards for the group. These were beautifully put together. Others in our group tried some of the other appetizers. I was told the cheese balls with crackers and the meatballs were tasty. Another friend got a couple flat breads and enjoyed those. For wine, we chose to order a bottle of their Broadbent Vinho Verde Dry Rosé from Minho, Portugal. We ended up getting a second bottle, it was lovely. The birthday girl had a blast and we all enjoyed each other's company. Yes, next time I will make a solid reservation. This was hard to do because I did not have a solid count on who could come, but I will guestimate next time. They have an extensive list of wines, but there are other options available for anyone with a different taste. They have a nice happy hour menu as well. Overall such a great evening. read more

Flights is a great spot in olde town. They have a lovely patio with furbabies welcome, some covered and uncovered seating, fire pits, and great service. The inside is very very small. The food is good and consistent. They have great wine too. Pro-tip: the last time I was there they had a hh discount for teachers and first responders (nurses I think). If I could give this place zero stars, I absolutely would. This was hands-down one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I went with a group of friends around 6PM and even though there were plenty of empty tables, the moment we sat down things went downhill fast. We ordered both drinks and food, but that seemed to completely confuse the staff. There were at least 4 or 5 servers standing around, but none of them seemed remotely attentive. It took nearly an hour just to receive one glass of wine, and an additional 15-20 minutes for anyone else at the table to get their drinks. Our food and drinks took well over an hour to arrive and even then, it came out in parts. Some of us were left just sitting there watching others eat or drink. When we finally tried to wrap up and asked for the check due to the lack of service and frustration, it never came. After waiting another 30 minutes, someone from our group had to go up and request to pay. The worst part? We were told that if we had made a reservation, the service might've been better... as if that somehow justifies the neglect. The restaurant was nearly empty with tons of open tables. That excuse made no sense. To top it off, they automatically added a 25% gratuity and charged us for multiple items we never even received. When we tried to bring it up, the owner himself came over but offered zero help or accountability. It's baffling how a place with so much potential could be run with such little regard for customer service. I've never had such an unprofessional experience that left some of my friends in tears. Do yourself a favor: skip this place entirely. read more

I live 45 minutes from here, but I always want to return. They have a nice selection of wines and cute, private fireplaces for people to sit outside. They offered a blanket when it got cold. My daughter took me here for a late Mother's Day meal, and we've been wanting to try this cute little winery for a while. We had reservations and were seated right away. We sat outside, and the atmosphere was so pleasant and relaxing. The staff was incredibly polite and professional. We ordered food and wine, and let me just say--the food was absolutely delicious! The charcuterie board was amazing. Later, we ordered dessert, which was also unbelievably good. We only took a few bites of dessert and decided to save the rest for a mother-daughter wine and dessert night at home, since we were taking the rest of the wine with us. Not 1 person at this establishment acted like they cared about customer service. It also appeared as if no one there had ever worked in a restaurant/bar before. 1. Employees walking by people waiting to be seated and not acknowledging their existence for a solid 10 minutes. 2. We had no plans last weekend so decided to drive over to Arvada and check it out. We thought they were taking down from their second Saturday event so we wandered around and found this wine cafe just a block or so off the main downtown area. It kept raining/sprinkling a bit and when the waitress seated us, we asked if we could sit under the tented area where another couple was seated. She said no, they weren't seating over there at this point. Ok.... So she seated us at another table with an umbrella, but it didn't do enough to keep the drizzle away so I had to hold my own personal umbrella for a bit too. Eventually the weather mostly cleared up, so it wasn't so bad... except about 20 minutes after we were seated, they seated another group under the tent??? A little annoyed by that.. Anyway, wine was pretty decent though my husband and I swapped. He ordered the rosé blend and I got the white, and I ended up liking his rose blend more because it was a little fizzy. The patio is dog friendly which was great for our dog, and the waitress brought us a full water dish for him. The initial wait was frustrating but it was busy outside so we were patient. Eventually we were able to put an order in for some flights and food. After watching flight after flight be poured and brought outside, we got fed up and walked out. Don't sleep on this place! It's off the beaten path in Olde Town and it is fabulous. Plenty of outdoor seating, great wine menu, happy hour is wonderful, charcuterie combo board is plentiful and delicious and the staff are all so welcoming and friendly (shout out to Jasmine!). They have gluten free crackers and bread too which made this celiac very happy. This place is tucked away in Olde Town but 100% worth the journey to find and enjoy. Met a friend here and sat on the patio - we were seated very quickly and it was a beautiful atmosphere and a perfect night. As I stood there the staff repeatedly passed me saying "we will be with you in a minute..." Tables wide open, plenty of staff to seat us but it was a low priority to actually seat a customer. My gf found this place and it is not only cute, but they have a rather impressive wine selection. I was pretty geeked. We each got two flights. We started with their happy hour set which I'm not seeing online. It was a delicious white, rose, and red. Then my gf ordered the bubbles flight and i got the Chilean roots. All were delicious. We then got the Spatslese Riesling and a sangria. I love Riesling ... For food we started with the baked brie, then the pickled eggs (which I was apprehensive about but they were delic), and the arugula/fig flatbread. Everything was super tasty. We ended with dessert of course with my gf getting their death by chocolate cake and I got the cream puffs that were doused in limoncello. SO GOOD. Definitely recommend! read more

This place is hit or miss and very expensive. I hate to write a negative review because I love our local small businesses, but Flights needs to change or people will vote with their wallets. Probably been 5 times over the years and the last two have not been good. (I did speak with the owner directly last time) This weekend was unfortunately probably our last visit. First, the small bites were exceptionally overpriced. $6 for a single deviled egg. $9 for 6 bite sized pieces of pretzel with some mustard and soft cheese dip. $6 for two little meatballs. Just really unreasonable and the quality was not beyond average at best. The real kicker was one of their Friday wine specials. Brownstone Pinot Noir. "$80/bottle on sale for a Friday special at $40". I asked the designation of the bottle and the staff said "it's a Pinot". That's not a designation and any wine café staff with minimal training should know. I then tried to explain that I was asking which Brownstone Pinot it was and I got the same answer. I asked it I could see the bottle. It was their bottom of the line entry level Pinot readily available for $9-11 online or at any large retail wine shop. I get markups, but to call it a $80 bottle on sale for $40 is, IMHO, dishonest. They lost my trust. To top it off, I ordered an Italian flight and the waitress translated the wine producer's name of my flight from French?!? (She repeated the name as being "French" multiple times) and told me what their name was in English. She got the translation correct, but for goodness sake, it was Italian. Italian flight. Italian producer. Italian name. Monte Degli Angeli is not French! ‍ Everything was just off. The prices, the quality of the wine and the food, and the lack of training of the staff. I don't expect everyone to be a sommelier, but at least know what you are serving that night and don't pretend a $9 bottle is $80. We had planned dinner with friends there, but gave up after one round of food and wine and decided to get take out Chinese and go back to our house and open a decent bottle on the porch. We were still into it for $120. I hope they change. It's been good in the past. I love having a wine Café in Arvada. Just not this one as-is. read more

Cozy is gone. They are now officially moved inside TNT. If you know TNT you know what I mean. When TNT closes its doors for breakfast/brunch it turns into (or tried to) Flights Wine. Flights Wine Cafe tried to re-create the cozy feeling that the old wine location oozes of. It's sad that it's not able to do that. A friend and I met up to catch up and both of us noted that that coziness is sorely missed and the bathroom visible from our couches made for an additional sad face. Although the choices of flights that you're allowed to make on your own from their wine list is a great idea and is still a keeper to me. I love this place! The atmosphere and vibes are great. It's 90% outdoors so if you're wanting indoor seating I'd imagine there isn't a ton. We usually order a bunch of plates to share, All good but our favorite was definitely the warm brie and the dessert flight was amazing! This is a fabulous spot to kill time and get a buzz before a Red Rocks show! The happy hour house wine is good enough (the white) and the cheese board is divine. Those stuffed peppers though... omg... Party in my mouth! (Limited guest list though because the plate only comes with four of them. boo.) The server was sweet, if not a bit glassy eyed, and food and beverages arrived in a timely fashion. With the sublime patio seating, though, I don't think I'd have minded if it did take a bit longer. Shady. Breezy. Heavenly. Also, regardless of the shows pulling people in from all over the four corners, this place is never packed so full that I can't get a seat! What kind of miraculous accommodation is that?! My only beef: they were out of a few menu items, not the least of which was every panini on the menu. Entering this place results in instant time travel to another place and time. The ambiance and decor are rich in character as if located in a remote European ski village, absolutely charming and inviting. After all, Morrison is a charming little town surrounded by mountains with a creek flowing like the wine at this place. The ambience on the patio is an extension of the interior, perfect for those sunny days Colorado offers. Family owned, the service is outstanding in every aspect; friendly staff was accommodating and genuine. As far as food items, they serve cold plates, warm plates and grilled panini. In particular, I had the Cheese Plate, offering several cheese choices, such as, Drunken Goat, Jarlsburg Swiss, Gruyere, Blue Cream, Asiago, Creamy Brie, Irish Cheddar, Edam, Gouda and Creamy Goat. The chef will make a selection of three cheeses to pair with your wine selection. The cheeses were delicious and high in quality. There's also the Antipasti Plate, which has three Italian Meats (Prosciutto, Salami, Pepperoni, Soprasetta), paired with two cheeses, olives, and toasted breads. I would also recommend the Carving Plate as an alternative to the Antipasti. I have not explored the hot plates yet, definitely look appetizing. The wine selection is extensive enough for any wine connoisseur looking for a particular wine, ostensibly I'm not. Even though knowledgeable staff can walk you through the wine selection and provide ample suggestions, I decided to have the Paulaner Hefe-Weizen natural wheat beer, very rich and crisp. Of course I couldn't resist to sample the fine wines my parter ordered. This is an amazing place, well deserving the high accolades it received on Yelp. If you are in town, maybe on the way to a concert at the Red Rocks Amphitheater, stop in, you won't be disappointed. read more

The appetizers are on the small side so I wouldn't recommend going here hungry. There is no other way to describe the service other than very poor. Yes, it was a Saturday night and we were more than happy to wait. Firstly it took around 10 minutes to even get put on the waitlist. The server also acted like she was doing us a huge favor. She told us that it would be around a 20 minute wait which we considered reasonable. We than waited over 45 minutes before being seated despite the fact that there were over 5 available outdoor tables. While we were waiting, we watched as several other groups came to be put on the waitlist and were not even greeted. This place is loosing so many customers because they can't be bothered to even talk to people! Once we were finally seated service continued to be slow. After being there for around 3 hours (mainly because the service was so slow) we asked for the check. After waiting 20 minutes without seeing it, we went inside to pay and were told that we had 6 people in front of us to pay. We paid cash and left. read more

Such a cute and cozy place to stop in they have much to choose from too ! We were stopping here before a concert and ordered a few glasses of wine, the cheese board, the meat board, the hummus and the chocolate bomb. You cannot go wrong with the two boards! There is a good portion to share with 2-3 people as a meal if that tells you how much. There is also a combo board for only $21 with smaller portions of both boards. All the ingredients on these boards were delicious. The chocolate bomb was not what I was expecting but nonetheless delicious. We ate the whole thing! It tasted like a frozen mousse Neapolitan flavors inside. The bottom is cake or brownie crust like, with a hard chocolate shell that is fun to crack to bite. Yum. Our waitress was very accommodating and even brought two samples of similar wines when they ran out of the one I ordered. It was a nice touch. My first visit to this cafe was for a mini-bachelorette party that my friends hosted for me. This has easily become one of my go-to places for catching up with the ladies or to take my mom when she is in town. I even had my husband come with me on Valentines day for one of the pre-fixed options and it was spectacular. I am always very impressed by the service, wine pairings, and prices. Most recently, my girlfriends and I had a reservation on the patio and were so happy they opened back up this summer! Things were running a bit slow that night, but we were just happy to be back outside again and enjoying the sunshine and drinks.
