The outdoor patio is large, pet-friendly, and a great place to hang out. Everyone working was friendly and welcoming. My wife and I split a burger, and I took our server's recommendation by ordering something I normally wouldn't: a burger with avocado, Swiss cheese, and bacon. While we're not kid-people, all the kids here are super respectful and friendly. All of the kiddos ask first if they can pet our dog. There's a full bar with a good selection of local beers on tap such as White Rascal, 90 Schilling and my favorite, Apricot Blonde. Not local, but they even have Guiness on tap! I love this beer garden. It's walking distance to my house and I love that you don't have to close out your tab. Side salad is huge for only 5$. I like that the cucumbers are diced and not rings. I got the green goddess dressing which was ok. Next time I'd probably get the miso vinaigrette. The ahi tuna bowl is good too. I do wish they'd just offer an impossible meat burger vs charging 3$ to sub it on their standard burger which is already 11$ :/ There are a lot of long tables which are awesome for groups. This was where our friend wanted to go for their birthday. My first time here. Parking can be a challenge. They have a lot, but it fills quickly. We had to park a ways away and walk. Not a problem, but know before you go. This is a family and dog friendly space with a playground. It was a nice evening so the outdoor space was bustling. We headed inside. There are communal tables and we snagged a spot. They have a nice tap list. After chatting with the bartender, we found that the beers have quick turnover because they have so many folks coming through. If there is something on tap that you like, it may not be there long. I had a stout, I love my dark beers. My husband had an IPA and my son had a sour. The food and beverage, though ordered at separate areas, are on the same tab. They do an automatic 18%, so no need to close when you are done for the evening. I chose the Coloradan Brat. It was an elk jalapeño cheddar brat with pepper jack cheese, roasted poblanos, chipotle aioli. The bun wasn't overwhelming. I'm not a fan of all bun and less filling. It was just the right amount of bread to hold everything together. The flavor was tasty, I would get that again. My husband got the gyro which was chock full of shaved lamb, feta, French fries, lettuce, tomato, onion and tzatziki. Served on pita bread. He found it to be quite a messy thing. He needed utensils because there was so much tzatziki that it was draining back into the container. He said it tasted really good, but was hard to eat as a hand held. My son got the fish and chips basket. It consisted of beer battered cod, fresh cut fries, coleslaw, tartar sauce and a lemon wedge. He liked the fish, chips and tartar. He said the coleslaw was lacking flavor. Considering it was a small portion of his meal, he was overall happy with what he had. There was music playing. It was quite loud with an already loud ambient level. It made it difficult to carry on a conversation with my friend across from me without shouting at each other. I have been waiting for this to open for so long and was ecstatic to finally try it. What a fun add for the neighborhood! Of course a neighborhood next to a park full of young families would love this. The space is great. The fire pits, seating, lights, everything is great. I wish there was one more section covered for when it rains, but I haven't been unable to find covered seating yet so I guess it's not a real problem. The food options are honestly really nice for a beer place. Salads + fried foods is my favorite combo. Plus there are some vegetarian options. The beer list is always diverse and I was very excited about the pumpkin cider they have for fall. It was delicious. The good: - decent beer selection - nice outdoor seating - good ambiance The bad: - they charge a service fee of 18% despite offering no table service. It wouldn't actually upset me if the bartenders and cooks got that 18% but they don't. Instead they pay them an hourly rate which is a decent rate. But.... to say it's a service charge and then not give that charge directly to the workers feels greedy. I just wanted to check it out, but we ended up staying for cocktails. The wife was hungry, so we tried the cheese curds, and the wife ordered the Burrata Salad. She said the salad was probably the best she's ever had. It was huge and made for several meals. Super high quality and awesomely fresh ingredients. The biggest issue with this location is the parking. There is a very small amount of parking here and you'll most likely be walking a distance to visit here. Came here during opening week and it was PACKED! There was a separate line checking IDs then had to get into the bar line to order, but they did a good job staggering so that there were still open tables, etc. Staff was handing out freebie tasters in line while we waited and got to try their soft pretzels, frozen margaritas and beer selections - yum! The lineup of craft beer was pretty solid; there was beer from the CO heavy hitters - Weldwerks, Cerebral and Westbound & Down to name a few. I got the White Noise, a great peach sour from Cerebral. There was also a selection of cocktails and wines for non beer-drinkers. We sat inside but there was big number of outdoor seating available too (with umbrellas which is great, because it looked like it was going to rain but never did). We ended up getting dinner there too - I got a cheeseburger, husband got the cubano, and we split sweet potato fries. The food was honestly way better than I was expecting it to be. Good addition to the neighborhood - and, there's HH from 3-6PM Monday through Friday with a select few craft beers on discount. Only knock - I get it was opening week and super busy but man there were a bunch of kids running around, even through the garden area with flowers/between the fences. Don't think those flowers will make it long but that's more a reminder to parents to watch their kids at a brewery and respect everyone's space! read more

After so much anticipation- it's open! Went to the first evening it and did not disappoint. Didn't get a chance to order food because we brought our pup and she got a little overwhelmed / warm but we did get 2 drinks each and they were amazing (frozé is yummy / deadly, Hugo spritz is refreshing and the dude stuck with beers). Line was long but the staff was extremely apologetic and offered samples while waiting in line which was so thoughtful and well done: mango sorbet, marinara cheese curds, "beer shots" etc. Smart of them, we will order it all at some point I am sure. The layout is awesome - lots of tables, shade and misters outside. Dogs can only be outside but there's plenty of space. Tons of bike racks which is great because this is very much a local spot. They do have a decent sized parking lot but it will be interesting to see how that goes when the apartments are occupied. All in all a great stop and excited to have it here! read more

Parking out front is space, we ended up parking at the park across the street. The entrance is also on the opposite side of the building from any parking area which is weird and confusing. I felt that more explanation on ordering would be great for someone new to a beer garden experience. Not really customer service oriented. Also, being charged 18% for little service...or for no service? You do have the opportunity to start a tab, which makes it easy if you're planning to stay there. Service and auto tip are ridiculous. I won't be going back. I really wanted to love this place. The venue, as well as the location is excellent. The beer and drink selection is top notch as well and the prices are reasonable and are in line with most beer gardens and micro breweries. The food is nothing to write home about but is acceptable and tasty. What I am appalled by is that while everything is counter service Arvada Beer Garden has the gall to charge an 18% service fee/tip on every order. They don't deliver anything to the table, they just stand behind the counter and take orders and hand you your food and drink. I am not against tipping culture, but 18% is a ridiculous amount to expect for handing my product. It's a real shame. I wanted to love this place but this mercenary attitude has put me off the Arvada Beer Garden so it's a nope from me. read more
