I've been here a few times, and while it's a great spot to hang out for drinks and watch a game, it's not somewhere I love for the food. On my most recent visit, it was a quiet night and the service was friendly, but really slow. I ordered chicken tenders that came out hard as a rock, and my dessert was burnt to a crisp. To their credit, the staff acknowledged the issues and even sent me home with a replacement dessert, which I appreciated. That said, I'll probably stick to just drinks here in the future. read more

Service is really slow and this is the third time it has happened. I went to the bar to order a drink and the bartender seemed really annoyed stating there is a server but he reluctantly made my drink. A friend asked for fries instead of chips with her sandwich and the guy behind the bar snapped at her stating he was on the phone. She said no big deal. Then some patron came and verbally attacked our group stating that my friend was a f**ckin bi **h and our group was terrible and we can go f**k ourselves. We didn't do anything wrong. their "southern hospitality" includes waiting 45 minutes to deliver your drinks after you order them and way overcharge you for bar food. we live in the candelas area and they always have a special way of making you feel like you're inconvenient to them - but I guess you can't feel their resentment towards you if you're always hammered, which should be their new motto. read more

Great take out but we also really love the ambiance here. The morning is a great time to visit for coffee and to get some work done during rush hour as well. They always have a special latte that is always to die for. The pizza and sandwiches are also a hit with my family. Easy place to love going to! read more

Cool little neighborhood coffee and bourbon lounge. We mainly come here for the brunch, but will definitely be back for their happy hour and to try the pizzas and various whiskeys offered. Small brunch food menu, but definitely hits the spot. The breakfast burritos with the option to upgrade to smothered pork green chili is one of the better burritos I've had. It could use more green chili to truly make it more smothered. The breakfast sammie here comes with a little spicy twist with the spicy ranch. Ive never had a bacon sandwich with spicy ranch before, but I can say it goes really well with the sandwich. The bloodies here are great! And made spicy, just how I like it. We walked in to a busy place. Some of our group decided to sit outside in the patio where there's no wait and we divided to sit at the bar where they allow here. I had a vague feeling of dejavu. The answer came a few minutes later. It's because I've been to their original location by Old Town also in Arvada. So a few things seem familiar. They do pizza excellently and bourbon and coffee well. It's about time they expanded. The location they chose is excellent! It's around the area where nee homes sprouted very this past years. I met a friend at this location for the tail end of happy hour (Mon-Fri, 2pm - 5pm). Some specials we jumped on were $5 house red/white wine, and $8.50 for a 10" two-topping pizza (as well as $5.50 for a basket of fries). Tons of parking right out front. New building. Super cozy inside. Kind of feels like a rustic but sleek, southern-charm, barn house lounge -- for lack of a better description -- with plenty of couches to kick up your boots and relax. Bluegrass is really the only non-fast food option in the Candelas neighborhood. The food was good. We tried a custom 10" pizza (personal pizza size) and the caprese sandwich. Both were good. The service was a little slow. We ordered drinks with our meal and ended up waiting 15-20 mins for them to show up at the table. The place wasn't busy on a Sunday night so not sure where our waiter had gone. We also order the caprese sandwich; but the sever misunderstood and put in the caprese app. Luckily, it was an easy sandwich to make otherwise our food would have been delayed just like the drinks. read more

Great bourbon selection. Unfortunately, The Bluegrass Coffee & Bourbon Lounge also serves food. There were two of us and it was a Wednesday night so the place wasn't very busy. After the hostess seated us at our table and gave us our menus and water, I wanted to order the pinwheel appetizer. The menu says it takes 20 to 25 minutes to prepare, so I asked her if she could put the order in, she looked annoyed and informed me that she is not a waitress and that our server would be with us shortly, the hostess then returned to her station, picked up her phone and started texting, Instagramming, or whatever Gen Z girls do on their phones instead of actually working. Fast forward to the food... the pinwheels were the best thing we ordered. The Paducah Pesto & Chicken sandwich was sub par. Served on an over toasted baguette, the flavor and texture of the sandwich was mediocre at best. Diced chicken mixed with pesto, red peppers, and cheese, a poor substitute for a juicy chicken breast, very disappointing. I didn't notice the menu says their sandwiches are served with kettle chips and my server didn't bother to ask if I wanted to substitute fries or a salad. The kettle chips rounded out the "crappy box-lunch" feel of this dish. Yay. After we finished, I had to ask the bartender multiple times for our check. I ended up having to get up from our table, walk up to the bar, and interrupt him from the basketball game he was watching. I won't be going back to this place. read more

The owner or manager reached out to give me a gift card for a free pizza on them. I ordered the bbq chicken pizza last week and it ended up being close to $25 dollars for the pizza with tip to go. Honestly, the pizza wasn't great- I could barely taste the bbq sauce. I had 2 pieces for dinner & I didn't even finish the leftovers (I always finish leftovers) . We really like their pizza dough! There aren't many food options in Candelas (why, I don't know), but their pizza is more reasonable than the pizza place at Freedom Street. It's also tasty! We've went there twice in the past week for takeout and the host staff was excellent the first time and more than likely drunk and/or high the second (alas, still accurate). You all do you, as long as our pizza is hot and fresh. There is a patio and open air bar seating which looks like it would be enjoyable, fyi. read more

This is such an awesome hidden gem in the Candelas area. The service staff was very nice and also very educated on the menu in different options available. We decided to start with the spinach artichoke dip which was delicious but the celery and carrots were both a little bad... the carrots were visibly white in the celery had brown dots on it which my husband and I found pretty unappetizing. We did get the pharaoh pizza and it was delicious... After we had a whiskey fight we decided to have a couple cocktails, both of which were delicious. read more

We went here for our first post restaurant outing after COVID. I get that places are understaffed. The patio was full, so we sat inside. It was LOUD. Just don't plan on being able to have conversations with people. Food was OK, it took a long time to get our order. Oh, there was also vomit on the sidewalk and I told them you should probably clean that up. Not really enticing (they did, thankfully. Food was expensive for the quality. Just bar food. I will not return unless I am desperate. I do want them to be successful. But it is not a hang I want to go back to. read more

We had a great experience here today. Came after a hike with our 5 and 2 year old and sat on the patio with our puppy. Great service; we know we have a lot of volatile wild cards and they were super accommodating and easy going. The kids menu was all anyone needs for them and their food was great. I haven't had a chance to try the booze yet but the Justify pizza was delicious. It's like their version of a meat lover's pizza. For my breakfast visits, they made me a great almond milk latte and the sweet potato chorizo breakfast burrito was so yummy. And they deliver to the surrounding neighborhoods! In a nutshell, the service and food menu could use some improvements. While we enjoy the atmosphere, the food options leave something to be desired and the service is a reason we don't usually choose to frequent this spot. Sweet potato chorizo burrito was one of two menu items with no eggs so I got that, and it was super greasy. The avocado toast is totally different than what was pictured. They have biscuits and gravy on the menu but told us don't bother, they're never in stock. The place was totally dead- I can see why. I'd go elsewhere. read more
