Maple bar - where is the icing?
Cassie D.

This is the third time I've been in here. The first one I had to pick up a big order for a company. Second time I came in, and I was amazed by the taste and the texture of the two donuts that I ordered. The third time I came in, I was quite disappointed on how little there was of icing on the maple bar the case and the texture was totally off just different this time maybe it's a different baker. I don't know. Yes I do know how donuts are supposed to taste and the texture because my dad was a baker of donuts for 40 years so I am always on the hunt to look for almost as good as donuts as he made maybe even better but today's visit. I'm quite disappointed in it.

Visiting my brother and stopped here to get a dozen donuts. Impossible to only get donuts! They were a smashing hit and my nieces loved trying all the different versions! Delish!

Medium black coffee, an apple cinnamon donut and an apple fritter for my friend in Oklahoma!

Once again, one of the best donut shops west of the Mississippi!! Found out they have new owners and are using the same recipes, so the donuts are still AMAZING!!! No idea about the service as I walked in 20 minutes before closing so NO one was in here. The assistance was a great help and swayed me to try a new donut they are making, the "strawberry shortcake". Hit the bullseye, the flavor reminds me of one of my favorite frozen treats of all time!! That said, my taste, I'll stick with my ice cream bars, but it was a 5 star donut. Great donuts, get in for donuts the way they are supposed to be!!!

These donuts are dependable and always fantastic. Don't like cake donuts? You might now. Think a maple donut is boring? Think again. Donutsville will give you variety and the classics in one visit. It's my go to donut place now! Donuts are the right amount of sweet and simple, not too overly sweet or sticky. The dough is light and airy but has some texture to it. I'd recommend to anyone.

Okay - YUM! I ordered the Boston cream donut and it was so good. The custard inside was yummy! They have a lot of traditional flavors, and some unique as well. They also offer donut holes. Staff was friendly! They have a drive through too - bonus! We went around 3pm on a Sunday and although some flavors had sold out by then, they did still have a good variety in options.

We really enjoyed these donuts. We got a half dozen, which included: chocolate frosted cake, maple frosted glazed, apple pie filled, cinnamon roll, glazed with vanilla sprinkles, and glazed with chocolate icing. Also had a Thai milk tea bubble tea that was great. The tapioca pearls were the perfect texture. Also got a chocolate milk, which was quite pricey and my boyfriend didn't particularly care for. The staff was very nice. Inside was clean. They had a counter with some creamer and sweetener options for coffee. There was also a drive thru, but I went inside. Will definitely be back

Love this place! Super friendly staff. Can get busy on weekends, but worth the wait. They started doing breakfast burritos that are solid! Iced coconut latte is a go-to.

They make delicious donuts , and I love their apple fritters. I ordered some breakfast burritos, and they both had egg shell inside. Bummer.

La Belle French Bakery - LES MINI COOKIE AU CHOCOLAT

Some restaurants serve food…read more La Belle French Bakery serves edible works of art. The moment you walk through the door, it's obvious this isn't a place that cuts corners. Between the pastry case that looks like it belongs in a museum and croissants so perfectly golden brown they almost appear artificial, every item seems to have been crafted with an almost unreasonable amount of care. I ordered the breakfast croissant, a black coffee, and a blueberry muffin. Now, I firmly believe a bakery's coffee should be judged the same way a singer is judged performing acoustically: no fancy tricks, no backup dancers, nowhere to hide. If your black coffee is excellent, everything else is built on a strong foundation. Thankfully, La Belle passed that test with flying colors. The breakfast croissant somehow managed to be both delicately flaky and impossibly soft at the same time. Every bite left a trail of evidence on my shirt that I regret absolutely none of. I'm fairly certain the croissant received more quality control inspections than my first apartment. The blueberry muffin was equally impressive, striking that magical balance between homemade comfort and professional craftsmanship. But if I had to describe La Belle in a single word, it would be love. You do not create food this visually stunning and effortlessly delicious unless the people behind it are deeply passionate about what they do. Every pastry, sandwich, dessert, and loaf of bread seemed to radiate the kind of attention to detail normally associated with Swiss watchmakers, NASA engineers, and grandmothers preparing for a family gathering. I've had plenty of delicious meals before. What stood out here wasn't just the flavor - it was the unmistakable feeling that every item was made by people who genuinely care about their craft. The passion wasn't subtle. It practically walked out from behind the counter, introduced itself, and insisted I try another pastry. By the time I left, I had already started recommending La Belle to friends. Between finishing brunch this morning and writing this review tonight, I've probably talked about this bakery more than any reasonable person should. And honestly? I regret nothing. 10/10. I'll absolutely be back.

The ratio of ham to bread and cheese was not good. All and all for the sandwich too. The quiche was pretty good. It gets a three. Did not take away any pastries but maybe you could check it out when you stop by

Olde Town Arvada is way off my usual stomping grounds, so although I had read quite a bit about…read morethis shop over the years, I had never visited. We finally decided to check out the shopping and dining district. Rheinlander was our final (and best!) stop. The bakery dates back to 1963 and is now on the third generation of ownership. The quality is certainly being maintained at a high level. This is a traditional, German bakery with a huge variety of authentic European cakes, cupcakes, sweet and savory pastries, pies, cookies, coffee cakes, and the only reason I think a German bakery should exist--strudel! Strudels are available whole, half, or by the slice. The usual flavors are apple, cherry, blueberry cream cheese, cherry cream cheese, and Boston cream. We bought slices of the apple, cherry, and blueberry cream cheese. These were perfection and absolutely delightful. I was totally focused on the strudel case (yes, there's a lot of strudel on offer), but I believe there are eight huge cases of treats, each one looking more enticing than the next. Quite a few gluten-free, sugar-free, and dairy-free options are available, so if that's what you need, this is the place for you. The bakery was moderately busy during our visit. There was plenty of staff and they were all friendly, helpful, and very efficient, so purchases moved swiftly. Lots of coffee and drink options are available. There's nice outside seating if you can't wait to take your goodies home. It's a long drive for us, but we were really impressed and we'll find a reason to visit Arvada so we can stop back soon. Yum.

I just have to give 3 stars due to fair values & cake that doesn't meet my expectation & they are out of vanilla cream horn when I visited when they just open the shop. Maybe next visit they will have it available.

I spent a weekend helping my best friend pack up and move, and wanted to bring her a few sweet…read moretreats as a little gift. She has celiacs and so I am always super cautious with baked goods I buy for her so that they're safe for her to have. Crestone was one of the first (and highest rated) bakeries I came across that were specifically catering to the gluten free world. I read through a couple reviews and was almost immediately sold - the hype was great and they weren't too far from me to stop in before making my drive. Crestone is nestled in a pretty large strip mall area, and is right next door to another baked good shop. There is plenty of parking, so finding a spot was very easy. Right when I walked in, I was surprised by the sheer quantity of items in the storefront; there are several refrigerated cabinets, glass cases, shelves, and tables with various items on display. You can kind of see into the back when you walk in, and there are a number of people bustling about. The atmosphere is very welcoming, and the folks in the front I assume were the owners. The wife (I think) offered to answer any questions I had, and was very obviously knowledgeable about all the items and nuances with the various recipes. I explained I was there for a friend and that she has had a tough time finding gluten free items that both lasted and tasted good. I was guided around the whole storefront and given several recommendations for items that would be good to try and also hold up for the few hours of driving I had in front of me. After perusing for some time, I got several items: a loaf of sandwich bread, sugar cookies with buttercream frosting, apple fritters, and a soft pretzel. I don't usually shop for gluten free items, but the variety of product at this place is super impressive. I don't see quite the level of diverse products really anywhere I've ever been before, to be honest. This rivals the chain store bakeries in terms of the different types of goodies, in my opinion. All items held up super well during the drive, and the couple of cookies I saved for myself the next day were just as delicious as I expected. My favorite of the bunch had to be the fritter... I LOVE apple fritters normally but I have to say these were probably better than any I've had before, gluten free or not. My friend absolutely loved everything and said that it was by far the best gluten free option she has had to date. That being said, I will definitely be back. There are so many things I'd like to try!
