One of the classiest breakfast cafe chains I've been to. I've long heard about how great the offerings were at First Watch and I've long been wanting to give this place a shot. I'm always a fan of interesting hashes, and their honey chipotle chicken hash was near-perfect. I only had to tweak the avocado out of it. I just when the marriage of a good sauce, good eggs, good produce, and good potatoes/hash works out. Scotch for her part said her Floridian French Toast was eye-poppingly good, even if it had too much fruit for me. The service was good--a bit too mindful sometimes, but I'd rather have someone who comes around a bit too often than not. We also liked that they leave the carafe of coffee at the table as that's usually what we need the most, refills. That's why I feel they could stand to come a bit less since they solved the refill problem. The ambience is great. I love the idea of community tables and wooden booths and tables everywhere. I also liked seeing the place but not super-packed so you can't get a seat quickly. Sometimes I think with breakfast places, they strive for lines out the door constantly, but I prefer a place that hovers at that good 70% to 80% capacity mark. I like being able to sit when I want to come but the place still doing well enough to be thriving. All in all, this place is great and I hope California gets their location soon. read more

My friend and I were looking for a healthy meal after doing Pilates and we decided to go to first watch because we both enjoy their power breakfast bowl. We also decided to get the pesto chicken quinoa bowl which we both loved just as much! We also got a Bloody Mary and I added a little more hot sauce to it and it was exactly the drink we needed! Our server was kind and always made sure we had everything we needed. It was pretty busy on a Saturday around 12:30 pm but we got seated immediately at the community table. If you go early, you don't have to wait. We got there around 9 am and sat right down. The restaurant is pretty standard with booths and tables, and the additional coat hooks were nice since it was a cold day. The staff were helpful. The food was good just some different takes on items. The Benedict came on like a soft ciabatta roll that was cut in half. The texture was just not the same as an English muffin. The donut was a delicious starter while we waited for our mains. The cheesecake made it extra delicious. Located in a strip mall so plenty of parking available in the surrounding lots. Wait time was about 10-15 minutes on a Sunday morning, which was not bad, but they also had available open seating on some high top tables right by the front m, so we opted for that instead. The end seats are right by the waiting area, so if you sit there you may have some people waiting right behind you. Service was good considering how busy they can be, though once you get your food we didn't have anyone come by until we were done and waiting for the check. A little loud but you can still talk to/hear the people at your table. Food has always been consistent, good, with decent portion sizes. I recommend the Floridian French toast, which has very fresh fruit. I tried the seasonal special most recently, the lavender French toast and it was just as good - although it is on the sweeter side. My family loves First Watch so when I asked my MIL where she wanted to celebrate her birthday, she of course chose First Watch. I was able to join the waitlist for a Sunday morning for 8 people and we didn't have to wait after checking in. It worked out amazing as we were there at 9a and was in the lull between the super early eaters and those in church. All of our food was amazingly delicious. Because it was busy, our food came out a little slower and our cornbread that we wanted to come out first only came out 2 min before our meals. You can get breakfast/brunch at other establishments, who are a bit more reasonably priced. I just had brunch here yesterday at the Peoria location. I spilled my water on the table & had to use my napkin to wipe it. The waitress came over & I asked her if I could please have another napkin. She looked at me as if she was looking right through me, gave a big smile, & said "yes, I'll be right back with that". She never came back with a napkin. The proportions were huge for the pancakes. I had the lemon and strawberry one and it was pretty good. It was a lot of food. The tacos were also surprisingly tasty as well. They're full of flavor. Some of my food seemed not cooked properly like the toast wasn't toasted and my potatoes were cooked well done on one side and a bit uncooked on the other side. Food: Awesome! For a drink I had the purple haze drink, which I renamed the lavender haze drink (iykyk), and it was excellent! Fresh tasting and a strong pop of color! For my meal I had the Elevated Egg Sandwich, and it was yummy. The avocado smash was quite nice, and I appreciated the freshness the greens brought. The check-in system here is very off-putting. We got in line on the website with a projected 15-20 minute wait. We waited 30 minutes inside the restaurant before I asked the hostess about our place in line. She told me we were 8th on the list. When I asked why, she said "some people were on the call ahead list and bumped you down". Why would our place in line be "bumped" if we've already checked in at the restaurant and are ready to be seated? We waited 45 minutes while party after party showed up and seated immediately. The icing on the cake is we noticed a woman sitting alone at a 4 person table for 15 minutes before her party arrived. What restaurant these days sits partial parties when there's full groups ready and waiting to be seated? This is the second time I've been here when it's been a total madhouse and I don't think the unpredictability with wait times is worth the hassle. If we knew it was a 45 minute wait we'd have gone elsewhere. read more

Walked in right at opening. Was greeted by the nicest servers. The place already had a few different people seated as there was a bit of a "line" outside. Made me think it must be good for early meetings and just in general. The food options are great something for everyone. I ordered the trifecta minus the eggs added more bacon, no problem for them no up charge. Got a cold brew and settled into my lists and phone calls. Quiet enough to do this and busy enough not to feel creepy fairly early in the am. I really really appreciated how clean the bathroom was. Just nice! Well, let me 1st list the positives. I ordered my food through the First Watch app, which is a very easy process. My food was ready when I arrived. My order was correct. I ordered a loaf of their seedlicious bread, and a package of granola. I haven't tried either yet, but imagine that they're delicious. I just moved to this neighborhood from Lakewood. The Lakewood location is much like my "Cheers" where everybody knows my name. So I have a long history in absolutely loving First Watch. I don't typically do takeout, but it was getting late and there was a 30 minute wait on the app so I decided to order online. Again, all of that went smoothly. Here are the issues that I had today. Back in the day I actually open the first drive-through espresso shop in Denver. I got a warning during a surprise food safety inspection because I had a crate with 4 gallons of milk sitting on the floor of my walk-in. And I learned a valuable lesson food can never be placed on the floor. When I arrived to pick up my order, it indeed was very busy. I did notice a bag of food sitting next to the cash register... On the floor. OK well maybe it's just my history that caused me to think they should've at least put it on the counter? Now to my burrito. I can understand cutting costs. But the ingredients list cage free scrambled eggs. I just want to say two over easy poached eggs are not scrambled eggs. I really hate runny eggs. Plus it tastes different when it's more like egg salad and not scrambled eggs. When you're only getting a chunk of yoke or a chunk of white. I know I know it's a minor thing. And I probably wouldn't have done 3 star review if it was just one of the two things. but today I felt like pointing it out. I will go again and give it five stars next time I'm sure. it will be great. I trust that this location is up to snuff and it was just a busy day? We tried the Turkey sausage links and they were different to us but not bad! Unfortunately, we did not like the pancakes, they are big and fluffy which is nice but whole grain so have a different taste (we ate none, I told the server the kids didn't like them at all and although I didn't make a fuss I thought she should have offered to take them off, I go back and forth since it's not their fault we don't like them, right? Was told my wait would be 20 minutes which I was totally fine with waiting after 30 minutes I went back in to check in and was told my table was given to an online check in because they have priority and the next table would be ready in another 30 minutes. I've never been disappointed when coming here. I've met for breakfast a number of times. I really enjoyed celebrating Mother's Day with my sons the Monday after, because the crowds have subsided. Came here on a Saturday around noon and it was pretty packed. The server said it would be 1 1/2 hour wait or we could be seated now at the "Community table". (Just letting you all know there is an option for this) Ordered the smoked salmon and roasted veggies frittata. The potatoes were a little burnt but most were fine. The frittata was a little dry and salty (but salmon is salty). Flavor was still good but I would order something else next time. Also got a hot chocolate which was good with a lot of whip cream. We had to sit on the same side so it wasn't great for conversing but it was fine. The mint iced mocha was pretty good. Not sure I'd get it again tho But the iced honey caramel coffee was sooo delish. I would 100% get that again! My friend got a granola dish and really liked it. It was too healthy for me I got Italian sausage skillet. It was pretty tasty esp when I put cholula on it. Anytime I crave breakfast, I can assure you I will always think of first watch first. First watch has such a variety of things on their menu that I really think anyone can find something to eat that they'll enjoy. My favorite part of this place is that this food feels very authentic, not like other places. Nothing feels microwaved here but rather authentically made. On top of a normal menu, they also have a seasonal menu that changes about every three months and they never fail to create an item on that menu that is super delicious. I highly recommend trying their seasonal menu since it's only there for a bit. As per usual, my recommendations that are permanent on their normal menu is the chile chorizo omelette, the farmhouse skillet, the banana walnut pancakes and the green tonic juice. Other family/friends have tried the oatmeal and also liked it. Service is always great too but it definitely gets busy after 8:30 on the weekends so plan ahead of time read more
