First time at this establishment. Walked in and sat down at one of the booths. Waited for about ten minutes or so until I realized there was no wait staff. I saw someone carry out a cup of coffee from the other side of the restaurant. Went around the corner and saw that it was a walk up ordering station. Studied the menu on the wall and placed my order. The staff was friendly. Received my order pretty quickly. The biscuit and gravy was okay but could really have used more seasonings or maybe some sausage. Basic home cooking fare. Delivery customers- just don't do it, this place constantly forgets either a side or gives you no condiments like syrup it's just not worth the price that's charged. Real reason for the low rating. I went in this past week to pick up my order that was picked up by someone else. The staff was very nice and offered to remake the order and even threw in a donut. Got a chance to watch some of the people preparing food and let me say that should have been my warning to not eat the food. Watched the woman, who I believe was the supervisor, pour two cups of chili they were selling to some customers in the restaurant and lick the extra chili off her fingers. Pretty sure she noticed I saw her too. Currently on day 5 of food poisoning and the only reason I'm sure it was from this place is because I had been fasting up until this meal. If you actually eat at the restaurant, they have wonderful food and good service but if you order it to go to be delivered, it's always nasty. A lot of the 5 star reviews are for the old restaurant, which is deceiving because we specifically wanted to try this restaurant based on reviews. Don't get me wrong, it's a great grab and go breakfast place. It was busy on a Sunday at 8am. Food came out really fast and was good. Fritters are Delicious! Other than that, I don't think we'll come back. Waiting in line to order was not what I expected, on Sunday mornings we like to sit, relax and enjoy the service. When we finally got to the front of the line the lady just started at us, no hello. We were asked to clean our own table so you have to think of this place as a fast food restaurant not an actual sit down restaurant. Coffee was horrible and food average, good but not great. We showed up at 11:30am on a Sunday with 9 of us & we were quickly seated by putting 2 tables together. The staff at the front counter where you order your food were friendly & helpful. We had the French toast & chicken fried steak. The food was great! The rest of our group enjoyed their food as well. The food came out staggered since we ordered on 5 separate checks so we didn't all eat at the same time. That isn't really avoidable since you counter order but we did feel like it took awhile for all of us to get our food. Honestly, this place is amazing. I can't speak to environment or ambiance since I ordered via DoorDash, but what I ate tells me that I would happily go back regardless of what it is like inside. Delicious chile that has lots of pork in it, and the ingredients for everything I ate also slapped! We ordered 2 breakfast burritos and a scramble bowl, and it was all amazing. Portions for price ratio is definitely large portions, low price. Highly recommend for food value and price points if you are looking for a savory (or sweet!) breakfast! read more

We arrived at 12:40 and the sign on the door stated that they were open until 1 pm. It also stated that the kitchen was closed 10 minutes before that, which was 12:50. My group of three was turned away by a loud and belligerent woman who wouldn't shut up! She kept saying that they were closing because of lack of business and here we are trying to give them $50 in business!!! After being "talked at" for several minutes I asked her to shut up. Another woman jumped in and started yelling at me. She kept saying that the sign said that they close the kitchen early and I tried to make the point that we were well within their time frame. She started yelling "have a nice day" over and over in a condescending manner as we were walking away outside. I tried to tell her that we eat there weekly, but she couldn't care less. She just lost thousands of dollars in yearly business because I eat there with business associates on a weekly basis. Now, I won't and neither will my family, friends, neighbors and associates. This just shows the stupidity of some small business owners. Rather than honor their posted hours they argue and alienated good customers. There were other people eating in the dining room and if they had served us like a reputable restaurant we would have been done and out in 30 minutes. Instead, they made enemies of existing customers who live across the street from the restaurant and will tell all their neighbors about the experience. How crazy is that! read more

This place is great! I am so happy we got around to trying it. I had a smothered breakfast burrito, and my husband had the French toast. Both were delicious. Despite the steady stream of customers, the food came quickly and was nice and hot. They kept the coffee topped off, and there's also a self-serve station. When you come in, you order your food, they give you a number, and then bring it out to you. After you finish, you pick up your dishes. As soon as a table was cleared, the staff promptly wiped it down for the next guest. 10/10 recommend! read more

Good food and cute... the staff was very friendly and also really young haha but the girl at the front counter was very sweet, especially to my little ones. The food was good- we had a regular breakfast and also pancakes and French toast, all yummy! I didn't like the biscuits and gravy so wouldn't recommend those but everything else was good. You order and pay and then go sit at a table and wait for the food to be delivered to you. It was good and cute but I don't think there was anything like special or wow factor about it! Ordered via UberEats on a Saturday morning. The meal was prepared fast and arrived hot and fresh. The chicken fried steak was seasoned well, and the gravy was rich and creamy. Went for breakfast with a friend today. I have not been here for more than 20 years. Pretty much looks the same. Got the grumpy delight with sausage on croissant. However what came out was one with bacon. I didn't feel like saying anything since it was incredibly busy. Not really sure I like that the press the sandwich down since the main reason I enjoy croissants is for the flakiness. Egg was a fried egg it was ok. Friend got half French toast and half bacon. We ordered a grub hub breakfast this morning and when the order arrived it was missing the best part- the fritters and donuts. Used to love going here when it was Daylight Donuts. A basic breakfast at a reasonable price. The new ownership increased the number of items and the prices. I had the eggs benedict, and it was swimming in "hollandaise" sauce. I couldn't even see the muffin, ham or egg. The potato's had zero seasoning and flavor. First time here it was amazing cashier was very nice, free refills on coffee with a couple of different options to add to your coffee. The food was good I got something simple the eggs and potatoes with your choice of meat and bread it was done fast which I liked if you have a busy day prices are reasonable.
