Option of donuts
Michelle A.

Went at noon and unfortunately almost everything was sold out- which clearly it's very popular and loved but it would've been nice having more options to pick from. Went with the hibiscus tea and the Boston cream- the Boston cream wasn't anything special and the hibiscus was refreshing. I recommend stopping by when exploring Tennyson street but wouldn't say this is a place to go out of your way to stop by. Hopefully next time they have more options! [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have a nice patio to hangout and people watch[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Do wish for a bit more donut variety. Obviously this isn't Winchell's or Dunkin' but freshness? You really cannot beat The Salty. My Texas friends have been raving about The Salty for ages. Unfortunately never tried it with them but now we have one here in Denver. Score. They have a handful of standard staples and then they do donuts for holidays, special events, the Super Bowl for instance. That being said this isn't a donut you grab and eat later that day or even the next morning. FRESH. Please eat these within twelve hours. Really just speaks to their quality but it's not a break room donut that hangs around for a day or two and the chemicals nuclear apocalypse preserve them like a Twinkie. Hot and cold drinks are available. Water. Juice boxes for the kids. Beloved Coke a cola. Standard cold brew, cortado, americano, lattes, and matcha. But they also do special seasonal drinks and drinks that pair exceptionally well with their donuts. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Inside you have a handful of seats but for this area of Tennyson/Berkley it's more of a grab and go.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You have the nearby park and obviously all the shops up and down the street. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Plus what cute cups and boxes for donuts. It's a statement piece for sure. What a cute little donut logo.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I somehow feel that the Call Your Mother bagel and Salty Donut are cousins at best. Seriously, check their fun logos! You can order to go online via their app/website/ or the wonderful InKind app. They even have a to go window so you can stay outside with your furry friend and get your caffeine and sugar fix to go. Staff is quick and friendly. Lines can take a bit on the weekends but during the weekday it's a quick in and out. They open early too so anytime before nine you can pretty much order and go. Welcome addition to the neighborhood. Will certainly seek them out on trips to other cities. Love their vibe and look. Very curious to see all the other stores and get their individual flavor or neighborhood vibe.

I am here for this donut shop! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Firstly, the ambiance is perfection. It's relaxing and inviting and clean- which is more than I can say for most donut shops.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I also love that they have a take out window in case you're on the move. The staff is so kind. Everyone seemed genuinely happy and helpful. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Their mood truly dictates the vibe of an establishment, and I just felt happy in here.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We got the chocolate donut, and the plain glazed, a regular latte, and a brown sugar chai. Everything was great! The donuts were soft, not dense which I appreciated. Neither donut was too sweet, but the chocolate one was obviously rich because my choco loving child didn't finish hers. Pro tip- don't leave them on the counter overnight in the box. Stale in the morning. Oops. 5 stars! If you're looking for something super sweet you may not rate this as high (for what I got) but I prefer this level. I didn't have a headache from the sugar afterwards which is a huge win!

GF blueberry and maple

It was great to visit the The Salty Donut, I've been following them online for a few years and finally got to enjoy their treats. I picked up the GF blueberry and maple as well as the brown butter and salt cake donut in addition to a lemonade. The staff was so nice, confirming if I was taking anything to go and offering to sweeten the lemonade as it could be tart (considering it's homemade and fresh). The lemonade was not overly sweet, thanks! And the GF donut was surprisingly moist which can be hard with GF item at times. I'm a big fan of a blueberry cake donut so this was a great nod to the original. The brown butter donut will have to wait! Wish I had enough space to try all the items but that just means I have to come back. I'd like to also shout out the staff was so nice and inviting which made the experience even better.

Easy to find this cute shop on Tennyson Street which I always enjoy the shops on this street. We were greeted by a smiling friendly order taker/cashier at the counter who patiently answered our questions on the unique flavors of the donuts and drinks. I ate the fresh cafe con leche donut filled with cream and drank a refreshing hibiscus-lemonade cold tea. My partner chose a warm ham and cheese croissant and drank a hot black coffee. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Loved the tasteful bright decor and despite plenty of customers, it was quiet.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Several tables to sit and relax.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]There's 2 hour street parking which is always packed due to lots of other cute shops and restaurants. Did I mention I love this street? Thanks to Matt for the flavorful treat!

cafe con leche
Robert D.

The coffee tastes great and I always take it black. The croissant was warm with ham and Asiago cheese filling. The Cafe con Leche was constructed from a light buttery pastry dough with a sweet creamy filling and sugar coating. Sweet, but not overly so. The order taker/cashier was pleasant, welcoming and offered suggestions based on his tastes which proved to be spot-on. Overall a pleasant experience. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere is simple, clean and trendy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The furniture is is simple and plain. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor is equally trendy and creative.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Caf Con Leche, Pistachio Cannoli, Original Glazed!
Zachary C.

So excited to try this place and it did not disappoint! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice clean shop and very friendly folks at the counter.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The donuts all looked really tasty and sizable, although I was a little surprised that the amount of selection available at the time (around 1pm) was a bit limited. Not sure if that was a staffing/supply issue or if they simply sold out because the ones we did get were super tasty! We did the Pistachio Cannoli, Cafe con Leche, and the Original Glazed! All of them were perfectly sweet and flavorful without being overpowering, fantastic texture, avoided that over-oily/greasy feel, and paired super well with the drinks! We did the Pistachio Butter Latte and the Blueberry Matcha. Both were excellent, well-balanced, and delicious! Special shoutout for the Pistachio Latte, it actually tasted like a latte first with hints and bits of pistachio second! I feel like too many places go too far down pistachio lane, but Salty Donut does it well here. They have nice merch too and the shirts felt like a nice thick quality!

GF Chocolate Chip & Sea Salt, Pistachio Cannoli Donut, Pumpkin Roll, Vegan Apple Crumb
Sammy T.

Came on a Sunday night, they only had a few donuts left and most were sold out but what we tried did not disappoint at all. The service was amazing, super friendly and took the time to give wonderful recommendations. We ordered the pumpkin roll, pistachio cannoli, vegan apple crumbs and the gluten-free chocolate cup with sea salt. Every single one was delicious and perfectly balanced, not overly sweet. The pistachio cannoli was hands down my favorite!! Definitely satisfied my sweet tooth and I am already looking forward to coming back during the day to try the flavors that were sold out!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Stopped in to this cute place to try out a treat and drink after work![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Super busy location on Tennyson.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]This area has such great vibes, and I'm sure I'd stop by much more if I lived in the area![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This donut shop is great, the staff here super friendly. I tried the hibiscus lemonade and it was so so good and refreshing! The salted brown butter cake donut so tasty! I'd love to come back again soon and try some other goodies. Parking is rough but worth it!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]OK, I love donuts and walking up to this little shop off of 39th and Tennyson smelled so wonderful of fresh donuts and fresh coffee.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have a walk up window for orders that were placed online, which is very cool. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They actually had an open window where you could actually watch them doing their magic making donuts other other specialties.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was greeted immediately when I walked in the door, which I love stood in line a little bit longer than anticipated but that's OK it was worth the wait! So I ended up with one of the glazed donuts and then I purchased the French toast sticks as well. Both were super marvelous. I really enjoyed them. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I will go back because it was a cute little spot very well designed and comfortable as far as seating is inside what I'd liked about this little spot also is that they sell shirts and bags with logo on it![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you're ever in the area, stop by and check them out you won't be disappointed. I wasn't.! Thanks For The Read Until Next Time....

Delicious donuts with vegan and gluten free options, along with regular and specialty coffee. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Located in the heart of Tennyson, the service was friendly and perfectly located in the walkable part of town.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I've been to the salty donut down in Miami in a Wynwood, so this was a nice reminder of the delicious varieties the offer. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The location was clear, modern, and love their cute illustrative packaging.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I was surprise this place has been open for a year and a half already--I never noticed it until I googled a desert spot near me and this spot is open late! Walked in on a Tuesday night around 7pm they only had a few options left for desert---[[HIGHLIGHT]]nice place, great seating[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], would love to come back to try their other deserts since they were low in the evening time.

Matcha latte, Everything 'Cragel', Boston Cream
Christine Y.

I'm not a sweet tooth so I was excited to try their cragel. Next time I'll probably get it untoasted though. It comes with whipped cream cheese which is a chefs kiss. The matcha latte was refreshing with oat milk. And the Boston cream won me over even as a savory gal.

I had it saved but couldn't quite remember why...until we turned the corner and saw a line out the door around noon on a Sunday. Normally that might be a dealbreaker, but once we saw the food coming out, we were all in, it looked way too good to pass up. The menu is stacked: everything from sweet pastries to savory sandwiches and even pizzas on what looked like fresh, fluffy focaccia. I went with the prosciutto sandwich (prosciutto, cheese, pesto on focaccia), and it was incredible--simple, fresh, and packed with flavor. My girlfriend had the ham sandwich on a baguette, which was just as good. We were also tempted by the turkey and some seasonal options, so we'll definitely be back to try more. We couldn't leave without grabbing a couple pastries. The almond croissant was a hit (my girlfriend saved it for the next morning and loved it), and the standout for me was the cinnamon white chocolate cookie--kind of like a snickerdoodle but with white chocolate chips. Easily a top tier cookie. Between the quality, variety, and how clearly everything is made with care, this place jumped straight to the top of my list. Worth the wait, worth the hype, and absolutely worth a return trip.

I sure was one of them today as when I stepped in it was past 2pm. What I had in mind was (of course) all gone which forced me to go some alternative option. I hence ended up with one of the vanilla custard buns and the gouda baguettes. Did I regret? Nope, it is quite the opposite of it. The vanilla custard bun was simply the right size for me (I not too long ago had just had my late breakfast so I was still quite full from it.) Perfectly brown on some of the custard on top. This Portuguese style dessert is a staple at any bakery or dessert shop. It's moist and yet the flaky out layers made the perfect sound as I bit into it. As of this writing, I haven't had the baguette yet but I can only imagine how delicious it would be (as the kind lady upfront was telling other customer that.) For a great business like GetRight's, I do the drive to get to it from my southeast Denver home. It's my utmost duty to support them.

I was there every Friday, but now, with a new job, it is just impossible to go. When I was going to a meeting in Denver, I searched for a bakery. I always look at photos of a baguette - the whole "figure" and how it looks when cut. I could find photos of the baguette, but none of the cross-section. So it was a gamble - I pre-paid for 2 baguettes. And I was not wrong! They were wonderful! Embarrassed to say, but I ate almost the whole baguette by myself! I froze the second one. Now I want this baguette all the time!! So here is the photo.

We've dined inside before, but yesterday we stopped in to pick up pastries and were reminded why this is one of our favorite bakeries in Denver. The croissants are incredibly flaky and buttery with the perfect ratio of ham and Swiss, the blueberry muffin was moist without being overly sweet, and the éclair disappeared embarrassingly fast. There are a bunch of different places to check out inside, so everyone can grab exactly what they want and still sit together. As it gets later into the day and through the weekends, I know it gets very busy, but there is plenty of random seating throughout the hall and even some outdoor spots if you prefer. Parking: Parking is going to be street parking. Make sure you read the signs, but it is usually free. Even when the market is busy, I usually don't have to walk more than a block to get inside. I'll definitely be back to explore more.
