Decided to stop by when we spotted this tiny Donut Shop as we were driving. It's not a fancy place by any means. It's a super small shop that's intended for you to order and leave to eat your treats. We came about 30 min before it was about to close so there wasn't really many options left. We decided to get a Glazed Donut and an Almond Croissant. We did not expect much from this place but we were pleasantly surprised at how delicious both pastries were. GLAZED DONUT - soft and sweet, just as how you'd expect a glazed donut to taste like ALMOND CROISSANT - this did not have any artificial almond taste that most almond croissants have. Inside was melted butter. It is SO delicious. You get the slight sweetness from the pastry, and then some savoriness from the butter. read more

We love this donut place. We just stumbled upon it when we lived nearby. It's never too busy, parking is easy enough. We have tried a variety of donuts, I think our favorites are the maple long John's with either creme or custard filling and the chocolate glazed donut. Never had anything we didn't like though. Old school gas station remodeled into a doughnut shop. Bright teal w/DOUGHNUT for the logo. Simple. Inside humble. The doughnuts... knock your socks right off. The most expensive is 3.75$ for the croissant doughnut. 1.79$ for the jelly filled. The best doughnuts I have had to date. My car mysteriously drives here at least once a month. read more

It is not even fair for a donut to taste this good. I am a seasoned decline-the-donut kind of gal. When we have work functions that involve donuts (which is often), I pass the donuts to the left hand side and keep my hands to myself. These donuts, however, are unavoidable. They are always fresh and fluffy. They aren't overwhelmed by super sweet frosting. They are just right and really hit the spot when you need a sweet little treat. Pair it with coffee and serve at a meeting and WA-LA! You will be promoted on the spot. These donuts are magical and might just be my favorite in the neighborhood. 4.5 starts. Really tasty donuts. Good flavor, good texture, no weird aftertaste, awesomely nice owner/Baker. Even my favorite donut shop can't claim all that. The only drawback is the lack of abundance. It is a one woman show, and I'm guessing that when the goods are gone, she packs up to go home. But I have a fix for this: If we all start to buy more of her wonderful products, maybe she won't go home earlier and earlier, but she'll catch on and make more and more donuts! She does sell other items, I don't know what they are, but maybe you can buy some of those as well. read more

This is a strange little place. We'd driven by it for a while kind of assuming it was a front for a drug business or something, because why would there be a little tiny donut place attached to a garage or whatever this is, with no real signs or anything to make this look like a place someone might walk into for donuts instead of, say, heroin. Well, we finally walked on over and went inside, and I can report for sure that this is actually a donut shop. They do have some other things on the menu, but I'm not sure I want a hot dog from here. I'm sure they're fine, but... I'll cook my own. The donuts, though, were quite good! It's not a huge shop, so there's not a hugely wide variety of donuts, but all your standards are here. We had a couple, and both were surprisingly tasty. Better than Dunkin, but not the best donuts I've ever had. The fritter was a little burnt around the edges but had nice apple flavor. The chocolate glazed was tasty. I would like to give this place 3.5 stars. Nothing mindblowing going on here, but we have so little in the way of businesses in North City Park that I'm happy to have another place to spend some money locally. If you're driving through a relatively desolate part of York and you see a random Donuts sign, go ahead and stop in. The donuts are good, the owner is friendly, and you may or may not be able to get tires or car repairs while you're here. read more

I was looking forward to a delicious donut, based on the other reviews here. So I told my brother, who was in town for the day, to meet me there. As of 10am, she was totally sold out of donuts. Not a single one was left. The case only had one croissant, one muffin, and one other thing I can't remember now. She said they've sold out of donuts early a couple other times this week, and she can't figure out why or when there are spikes of traffic. Anyhow, this left me an opportunity to peruse the rest of Patty's offerings. For lunch, she offers hot dogs and hamburgers. As far as drinks go, there is a cooler (in keeping with the gas station motif) full of canned and bottled soft drinks and milk and water. She also has one of those gas station push-button cappuccino/coffee makers. And there are a variety of small bags of chips, like the kind you buy in bulk at Costco and put in your kid's lunch. Last but not least, the store has pre-made breakfast burritos, and that's what I settled on. After nuking, it was hot and filled with potatoes, eggs, unidentifiable meat, and a lot of salt. You know how Altoids advertises being "curiously strong mints"? Well, this burrito was a "curiously salty breakfast". It made me wonder if this is really what the cook intended, or if there was some accident in preparation about about 4x as much salt was added as expected. Maybe someone misread "add 3 teaspoons of salt" as "add 3 tablespoons of salt". Anyhow, I was hoping for two delicious donuts and a coffee to enjoy there with my brother. Instead, I got one hot, very salty burrito to eat in the car on the drive home. read more

I live close to here and saw this little place so I had to go in. It seems weird to have a donut/scooter shop/auto shop all in one, so I had to check it out. The Good: Fresh Donuts in the 'hood. I got a mixed dozen and not one of them was not super yummie! They also have breakfast burritos, sandwiches and little snacks. All in a neighborhood that sorely needs such things. Skyland seems so under served when compared with the south side of City Park. The Bad: Still don't know what is up with the scooter helmets and autoshop. Nor did I see hours of operation or most of the other standard communication signs that businesses have. The Ugly: When I used a debit card to pay the lady complained. Sorry that the card reader charges you .35 or so per swipe plus 2.5%. I own a business however and that is just the cost of doing business. read more

Don't waste your time. This was my second visit to find literally 4 donut holes and 3 jelly donuts that look old left. That's it at 7:51 AM. I live very close by. "Woohoo!" I thought, "a local spot for a quick coffee and and a donut before work!" The coffee was burnt folgers. The donuts were stale. The breakfast burrito? Small, premade and microwaved burned (rubbery eggs, tough tortilla, cold in the middle). Nice little asian lady is very friendly, but speaks broken english. I needed a dozen donuts for a work function and asked Patty to pick out a nice mix. She got it right--glazed, sprinkles, cinnamon, etc--and thus I scored points with the boss. All for 10 bucks. Nice little shop next to (or part of?) a garage. Unfortunately, sometimes I lose touch with the phrase "don't judge a book by its cover" and based solely on appearance I had assumed that the donuts were going to be on level with a chain grocery store bakery. I was luckily very very wrong. This place is delicious. I had some of the best donuts I've eaten in years. The woman working there was also very nice. I highly recommend it! read more
