A fascinating cafe that blends the industrial aesthetic of their company with a cozy cafe. The cafe is fitted with lots of wood and metal accents with a full view of their industrial roaster as you wait for your coffee. Giving patrons a sneak peek into a step of the process your coffee goes through before it makes it into your cup. They have some oatmeal, bread slices, and small snacks available, but it's clear the big draw here is their quality coffee. With plenty of comfortable seating this is a great place to get some work done or relax with a book. They have a few tables for larger groups as well. Allegro coffee naturally offers coffee beans to take home as well. The wall was beautifully displayed and lit, with options to purchase by the bag or by weight. I was pleasantly surprised to see they also offered some bagged tea options. Not just the typical 2-3 flavors, but a wider selection included oolong and some green tea options. The Ginger peach black tea and the oolong are coming home with me. I took a seat at one of their small tables and enjoyed one of their seasonal drinks: Salted Caramel latte (iced). Toasty coffee with just a hint of caramel sweetness, and flaky salt, it was perfect. Thank you to the baristas for their help in selecting a drink. read more

This place is cute, I like the decor and seating areas but the staff were really unfriendly and unwelcoming. They overfilled my lackluster latte and when I asked for napkins they said they didn't have any. 3.5 stars. Stopped by with friends for coffee and a pastry after a morning workout class. It was empty inside, with plenty of parking out front. Good customer service but wasn't particularly impressed by their food or coffee. Got a Vietnamese Cold Brew and Cheese Danish. Apparently this a brand you can get at Whole Foods, tells you how fancy they are? You can get whole beans. Either way I'd come back again if it was convenient but wouldn't go out of my way. I've been to this coffee shop many many times over the years. However with these new employees, something has gone wrong. This is the 3rd time I've gotten my normal latte and the espresso shots are bitter! I told the barista and she blamed the espresso beans... no honey.. how you grind the beans .. to how the espresso maker pulls the shot, with water ratio, temperature etc.. a bitter shot is most likely caused by over extraction. This review is specifically for the Allegro Coffee Company Flx Bus. This bus goes on the road each month with the sole purpose of giving out complimentary coffee and tea! They can be found at races, community events, and Whole Foods all across the nation. Here's the exciting part - the only way to find the Flx Bus is to see them on the street or to follow their adventures on the Allegro Coffee Instagram account. I caught the bus today after seeing their Whole Foods location just a few blocks away from my office in Seattle. While I didn't get a coffee this time, I was lucky enough to get to the bus after the lines died down so I could talk to the drivers and hear more of their story! While Allegro has been around since 1977, the Flx Bus has only been on the road for the last 5-6 years. It was designed to be a marketing tool for Whole Foods gigs, but eventually started showing up at Ragnar races, Biking races, music festivals and more! They call it "The Happy Bus," and it could not be more appropriately named. The bus baristas are employed with the mission of being a day-maker for the 100-300 people who visit the bus at each 3-hour stop. The Flx Bus definitely made my day today. I hope to catch them again before they head out of town! read more

Definitely my go-to spot for convenience. Sometimes around 7:30, it's VERY busy with school staff. I often want a pastry and they don't usually arrive until 8am which is a bummer. The staff works so hard and is often understaffed but they are efficient and make it work! The focus is on the coffee so their menu doesn't show specialty flavored drinks but they are happy to make upon request. read more

Allegro coffee is so good! The staff is very nice, the coffee shop is very cute, and the coffee is amazing! The only caveat is that they close at 2 pm and aren't open on the weekends. They definitely should extend the store hours. It's kind of hard to find if you've never been there. Just park in the Adams12 School District building parking lot and the coffee shop is on the east side of the building. read more

This place is amazing. I walked in and was greeted with pleasant aromas of coffee and a cozy environment. There is tons of seating. Their industrial-modern style provides two levels of tables, benches, and chairs waiting to be sat in. Excellent portion sizes for the price. See drink menu attached. The food was basic bagels, cream cheese, and pastry spread. The only downside to this Allegro location is that it is a bit hard to find. I have been struggling living in the 'burbs and feeling like everything cool and interesting is at least 25 minutes away in Denver, so when I found out about Allegro I was ecstatic. A cool coffee place 10 minutes from my house? Sign me up! Like its been mentioned, it is in a weird location, and I'm glad I read some reviews before I went. However, if you know what you're looking for it pops out at you once you pull into the parking lot. The inside is great, plenty of comfy seating, nice lighting, and the noise level was perfect for getting some work done (they also play great music!). I brought my laptop and did some writing and the atmosphere really lended itself to my production. I can definitely see myself coming here regularly to get some writing done when being at home feels too stuffy. They have a standard menu, and I had a simple cappuccino, which was actually a good size for a small and reasonably priced. Warm, frothy, rich, and complete with cute cappuccino art. You can also bag up some fresh beans to go. Staff was friendly but not overbearing, and people come and go at random so it never feels too crowded or noisy (although I was there in the late morning/early afternoon). My only true bother is that it closes at 2, but that's definitely not too much of an issue. I will certainly be back! read more

Interesting venue. The cafe is located next to the school district building and is the front area of the Allegro coffee roasting facility. If you like the smell of coffee and I do, it's a pleasant aroma. The counter staff people are really friendly and in a good mood. This is a cozy coffee shop tucked away amid administrative offices and conference rooms, but there is adequate signage to guide you to your goal. Once inside, you will notice a unique atmosphere with a modern industrial design, supplemented by the roasting equipment that is actively being used through the glass windows at the back of the shop. The coffee was very good, in the case of this visit, an americano. I've also had their lattes and find they are not overly sweet like many chain coffee shops tend to be. The noise level and amount of people is good, although it can get pretty busy because of all the nearby offices. The largest downside is that for larger groups, the tables for more than 4 people tend to be reserved and seating may be difficult. Otherwise, the seating is spacious and I've never had a problem grabbing a seat. Last note is the hours for this location, get there early! read more

I've driven by Allegro Coffee for a few years and always wanted to stop in. The smell of coffee roasting in the air is heavenly! So, I talked my husband into a late morning date with our four year old in tow. Sadly, our one and only experience left a sour taste in our mouth. The acidic coffee wasn't the only turn off... It took us nearly 10 minutes to navigate to the correct parking lot and actually find a space. Since it's a shared lot, parking is impossible! We proceeded into the building anyhow. First impression? The lobby and cafe are beautiful! So, we (my husband, youngest child, and myself) proceeded to the counter to place an order of 2 bagels, a muffin, 2 drip coffees, and a chocolate milk before we had a seat at a small table near the entrance. Again, the ambiance was great! But... The bagels where as stale as last week's news, the coffee was bitter to the point of sour. And I do take my coffee black. However, the hubby does take sugar and agreed the coffee wasn't worth the headache of parking half a mile away. We both gnawed through a reasonable amount of the shoe leather they sell as bagels before we quietly gathered our belongings with the promise to never return. There were no complaints from my kiddo but he was happily scarfing a muffin and guzzling chocolate milk, so all was right in his world. It's hard to wrap my head around this review because the word-of-mouth is there for Allegro Coffee. This coffee is in local shops and libraries all around me. I'm definitely not a coffee snob, but I guess I'll just stick to my 2lb. bag of piñon from Costco. read more

I like Allegro coffee, I have never been here previously even though I have lived near by for over 20 years. The reason maybe it's very hidden. Once inside it's very dark, but relaxing. The barista was knowledgeable and helped me try something new. However, I was new here and not sure where to order, where the menu was located etc. The barista was a bit snippy about it especially when I asked about food - which is all prepackaged. I have tasted better condensed syrup gas station coffee! It is sooo acidic. I have tried to like it so many times. When I grind it at home the beans look exactly like ground Tabacco color and all. I have had it from the shop too and still acidic. read more

Our favorite shop across the Denver/Metro area. Great roasts and varieties, excellent nitro cold brew, and fantastic personable baristas. We've been to almost every toaster from Boulder to South Denver and this is our favorite spot. Our only complaint is that they are closed on the weekends. We live in the area and would be visitors every weekend if they were open. There's no other truly good local high quality coffee shop in the area, leaving us to drive 20 minutes on the weekends for a cozy coffee shop experience. PLEASE OPEN FOR THE WEEKEND! read more
