This has been our favorite family coffee place for years now! We love the taste of their Americanos, in particular. The atmosphere is cozy and spacious enough for group gatherings. They are very family friendly, with toys and books for kids. Often, they feature beautiful artwork from local artists. While I wish their newly updated murals weren't so excited about dead-looking trees, I appreciate the effort to freshen the decor. Really friendly service and clean spacious shop with nice seating and cool local art. I had the strawberry croissant which I didn't realize would just come out of the fridge but it was yummy. I had the special summer latte with matcha, raspberry and mint. The latte was not super cold when I got it and I had to wait for the ice to melt. The matcha flavor was ok with the other flavors and it was interesting and a bit too sweet for my taste. They also had boba but it was pricey and it was lemonade with three different choices of popping boba. They have a huge parking lot in the back since it's in a strip mall. I'm an introvert with some social anxiety so loud, busy spots like Cristos is very overwhelming for me, but it was the nearest coffee place while running errands. The store was packed inside and out. The line was long and we waited about 15 minutes before it was our turn to order. Their menu is cluttered and a bit confusing for new customers like myself. The Mr just wanted black coffee, which came out quickly. I ordered form their seasonal menu, an Almond Joy Latte and had to wait for some time for it. Honestly it wasn't anything great. The staff here didn't look too happy, even when taking our order, and I can't blame them too much because it was just a constant stream of customers. I've been there and can relate. If you're looking for a popular, noisy cafe that you can bring your kids to (they had lots of entertainment for children), then check this place out. If you're like me and prefer a more calm, low-key cafe, I'd try another place. read more

This is my new favorite cafe for so many reasons! First off they have AMAZING coffee and truly delicious hot chocolate (Ghiradelli), delicious bakery items and the best atmosphere around. I love supporting small businesses like this! I have a lot of food allergies and my husband is celiac so it's always a challenge finding places that can accommodate! Not only do they have tons of bakery items but so many gluten free options! I can't even tell you how many milk options they have, it seems endless.... and they even have a dairy free whipped cream! Some of the friendliest most welcoming staff members at any cafe I've been to lately. I have to say that these folks are true patriots and pioneers during these crazy times! This place was great! I got a lavender oat milk latte and it was delicious!!! Most of the staff were pretty friendly, however there was one girl whose energy was not welcoming. Also, there were a bunch of knick knacks all around, which were cute, but at times it felt like a gift shop more than a coffee shop. It only really bugged me when I had to get water and squeeze behind a rack of items. Aside from that, the ambiance is great with calm music playing and comfy seats to sit/work at. I generally prefer small local coffee shops. Not this one. I had a medium sized order with five drinks, a couple of snacks, and some coffee beans. First, my cappuccino was not as hot as it should have been. It took a long time to get all the drinks together. A medium tea had no heat sleeve and only one tea bag. They had no drink carriers, and no bags. Just generally disorganized and poorly delivered. And it wasn't like it was busy either. It's a cute little coffee shop. This place is a 5-minute walk from my house and I love a good latte, so I was sincerely hoping that this would become my go to spot. It was a bummer when, after several tries, I decided that their coffee just isn't very good. This however didn't stop me from occasionally stopping in, if only for the sheer convenience or to meet a friend. Today stopped in to meet a friend, they already ordered me a latte and when I picked up our drinks, I realized that only one person behind the counter was wearing their mask. At first, I assumed it was accidental, but quickly came to understand that it was intentional. To make it worse, after leaving, I noticed that the Erie police had already posted a written warning for failure to wear masks. I will not be returning, their disdain for COVID prevention measures coupled with a complete disregard for their customers and public health puts this place on my permanent boycott list. I left a Google review saying shame on them for signing someone up for their newsletter without their permission. The owner then responded saying I must have allowed them to do it as some point, because they can't do it themselves. This was their FIRST newsletter. I have never signed up for their newsletter, so this was a blatant lie. Looking through the reviews that this establishment has received, the owner always has an "answer" for everything and enjoys being an asshole to anyone who leaves an honest review. Every time that I visited my brother over the last several years, I would stop at Cristo's Coffee for a pound of beans and a cup of coffee. I decided recently to move to Erie to be closer to my brother and his family. The morning after I arrived, I masked up and headed to Cristo's. I was astonished and appalled when I walked in and found the barista/owner without a mask on. This blatantly disregard for others and the local community was too disgusting for me. I turned around and left and haven't been back. Luckily, I found another coffee shop close by that has better coffee and doing everything to reduce the spread of COVID. If you think wearing a mask is important, then avoid Cristo's. P.s. A lot of Cristo's negative reviews have been recently removed. I wonder how that happened. The previous reviews of their proud issuance of a non-mask policy and their "American" rights were a little upsetting. But again, I was here at 5pm so I gave it a shot. Came across this place as a recommendation from others, and am glad to have found this little coffee shop. Of the two times that I've visited, have been well treated and felt welcomed. So right off the bat, believe the service has been top notch. I wouldn't say that I felt as though the coffee or drinks are a stand out from other similar shops (though maybe I just need to visit more and try more drinks), but having tried various options to date (because we share drinks/tastes as a family), the drinks have been good (such as a cinnamon-honey latte, iced-loose black tea, and a mango smoothie). They have a decent selection of bakery goodies and small bites (not to forget GF options), also have a slew of snacks that appear to have higher quality ingredients (which you don't see all too often). The only drink that fell short for me was a cold brew (which I had with a splash of milk). I really like my cold brews and it didn't have as much of a pleasing flavor as I had hoped, but maybe it was the batch. Not that I am this far north very often, but when I am I know where to patronize (and give the cold brew another try). Also glad to know a place is out there that upholds individual freedoms, which is very rare these days. This is important, just as much as being safe, though so much more so. read more

How this coffee shop currently only has 3.5 stars is beyond me. If I didn't live over an hour away, I would be chilling at this cozy little coffee house daily (you know... assuming I actually had any spare time to do that, but you get my point!). Clearly many others agree with me because it was packed in the middle of the afternoon on a Thursday, and how could they not? The girl working at the front counter was unbelievably sweet and quick to make our perfect drinks. The atmosphere was my favorite so far! Comfy couches throughout. Spacious. Super cute decor. A TV with a video gaming system with all the old school games to play. Perfect lighting that was relaxing, but not so much I'd struggle to stay awake. Chill music playing in the background.
