I've been to a lot of coffee shops across Colorado, and Java Stop is hands down my favorite. Not "favorite this month" favorite. "If I move away, I'll still think about this place" favorite. The second you walk in, it feels warm, cozy, and inviting. It's become my go-to spot to read, work, meet friends, or just exist with a really good London Fog. At this point, it's less of a coffee shop and more of a sanctuary. Even my service animal, Mr. Boo, gets excited when we pull up. The drinks are consistently amazing, and the staff somehow manages to make everyone feel like a regular. Now let's talk about the chocolate muffin. I'm not a muffin person. Never have been. Yet somehow this muffin has me questioning my entire identity. How do they make the top perfectly crunchy while the inside stays so fluffy? I don't know. I don't need answers. I just need another muffin. And the cinnamon rolls? They're the size of a small planet and every bit as life-changing. If loving them is wrong, I don't want to be right. I'll happily sing the praises of Java Stop until my dying breath. This place has carved out a genuinely special spot in my heart, and I couldn't be more grateful it's part of my community. read more

Love everything about this little coffee shop! From its eclectic decor, to its amazing barista, to the games in the corner- this was such a fun visit! My friends and I got to play Mexican train dominos, while sipping on tasty lattes that were the perfect amount of sweet. We also got everything bagels with cream cheese, which were also delicious. This is a cute, cozy hidden spot in Longmont. I've lived in my entire life and I've never seen it until now. And all I can say is, I'll be back. Very cozy. I don't drink coffee but the food is amazing and it's a nice quiet spot for me work on schoolwork and to draw. The food is amazing, and there's GF on some items. Tons of coffee options and tea options for everyone. The service is nice, the people running the front are friendly and efficient. Watch carefully as you pass by the storefront for the door. It's a little bit hidden. And when you go inside you will be dazzled by the incredible assortment of things to see, inspect, buy, eat and drink. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the goods. I wanted to select an artisan tea and I got an excellent recommendation. The tea bag was so huge I could probably have used it for 3 cups of tea! These people have a great sense of humor. Full of quirk! Very cute and cozy coffee shop, with many tables, funky couches (I saw one with Frida Kahlo upholstered pillows), and individual sitting spaces divided by curtains for some privacy. It had a chill and quiet vibe in the morning. We tried a cappuccino and a latte, both with oat milk. The barista frothed the oat milk really well for the cappuccino, which always makes me happy. The cappuccino was a bit on the bitter side. They also sell some local wares, like painted mugs and small pieces of art. read more

Wanted to try the Crane Brulatta but don't like my coffee super sweet and had to have it take out due to Covid so they made it the general flavor without the flambé top and toned down the sweet. Perfection! My daughter had an Italian crepe soda and they were very generous with their extra creamy whipped cream. Put a big smile on her face! Two thumbs up! We will definitely be back! The vibe here is interesting. It isn't quite modern, isn't traditional at all. If you are looking for something laid back and very hipster then you'll be at home here. The music is pretty quiet and classy, so it is a good place to get your homework done. The only reason I am giving this four out of five stars is that the coffee is rather ordinary in my opinion. This is the best place to get coffee! First off, their ice cubes for cold brew are coffee so it doesn't water down your drink. Words can't describe how much I appreciate that. I had one of their breakfast sandwiches today and HOLY COW. It was so delicious and flavorful, I'm surprised today was my first time trying one. This is my new love in Longmont, which isn't to say that Javastop is new. It has been around for quite some time. But I recently rediscovered it, and now I go there at least twice a week. It has become my coffee shop of choice. The owners are so, so nice, and it is no wonder that there are so many regulars there. They don't mind that my toddler and her peers scatter muffin crumbs around the floor. (We're working on it, but eating tidily takes some practice.) They even have a closet full of toys for just her kind. This place is definitely kid-friendly (and kid-approved!) But rather then being a rumpus room, Javastop has a really nice cozy and relaxed feel. I'm not a huge coffee drinker, but the maple brown sugar latte is one of the best lattes I've had in a long time. I got my order to go, so I couldn't try the creme brulatte (there's a flambeed topping that would not work well in a paper cup), but I will definitely be trying that one next. They only have whole milk as far as traditional cow's milk goes, but they have plenty of alternative milks including oat and almond, so there is something for everyone here. All owners have retained this coffee shop's funky atmosphere.
