I've been a customer since the day they opened- I was excited to see coffee from home! (Texas) Corporate! Listen up. You should model all your stores after the way this one is ran. If I could give this location 20 stars I would. This is the best coffee around town. Not only does it surpass their competitors (like Starbucks,Allegro, Otis and Corvus, etc) but the biggest difference for me and my family is THE PEOPLE. Joe, Alyssa, Josie, Tyson, Jason, Noah, Esmee, are the best baristas and friendliest with their customers every single time we come in. My son loves coming for the bread and the toys in the corner, the vibe is chill and it's always a pleasure to talk to the staff! I get my two kids out of my car and go in bc the coffee and the people are better than the rest! I especially love the fun decor and how they decorate for each holiday. This coffee shop is special because it feels more like a neighborhood joint than a corporate place and easy to do bc the closest one is over 1k miles! I am so glad they have all the baristas names and faces on the wall so I can get to know them since they don't wear name tags. I will continue to bring my friends and family here for years to come! I always love finding new coffee spots - bonus if they've got a good selection of baked goods available lol - and Summer Moon checks all the right boxes. I stopped in on a Sunday morning at the recommendation of my sister; it was about 10:30 and not overwhelmingly busy. There were several duos at smaller tables and a couple people (like myself) sipping on their coffees solo while working on computers. The menu is straightforward and doesn't appear to have all the crazy and confusing options that many of the larger chains have (though customization is probably feasible and easy to do); their specialty is the infamous moon milk, which is a signature sweet cream concoction that is surprisingly yummy! I went with a quarter moon latte which was the least sweet of the options and it was absolutely delicious. The staff behind the counter were super friendly and my coffee was out on the counter pretty quick, which allowed me to settle in and get some work done. The place is pretty popular from what I can tell, and tables are somewhat limited so keep that in mind when you visit. I saw a lot of people grab coffees to go, though, which is a great option if it's a bit too packed to sit down. Parking is pretty easy, as the lots are shared between a few different businesses but again, it can get a little busy up close, so you may have a small (tiny) little jaunt up to the shop. I have never heard of this place before but we stopped by and I can understand the hype. I didn't know what to order because I didn't know what the moon milk was but I knew I didn't want coffee. They had lemonades and other fruit milk drinks. After being overwhelmed by all the options, the barista recommended the matcha one for me and the drink did not disappoint. It's a different type of matcha drink than I usually drink- it's milkier and sweeter but I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. It's a nice coffee shop with good vibes and energy. There's a decent amount of seating. It can get busy during certain hours of the day. Can't wait to be back to try the other options. As a non coffee drinker, I did like that they offer several options instead of just herbal brewed tea. read more

A lovely, cozy cafe perfect for studying/working. I stopped by Summer Moon Coffee to pick up an iced latte while running some errands. With wood accents and comfy leather chairs, there were many patrons settled in with a coffee and a laptop to get some work done. They had a variety of products and merch as you walk toward the register to order! Beanies, travel mugs etc. all very cute! I'll have to check them out again when I have more time. Everything was very clean and such a nice vibe. I placed my order and baristas were so nice, chatting with me as they crafted my drink. My iced latte was quick and it was perfect. Exactly what I needed to continue my day with some pep in my step. They have bread loaves available if you need some food too! A great cafe for a quick drink or a sit down caffeine fix. Very Warming environment, easily a nice place to get a good study in. Would highly recommend this place for that, their coffee roast tastes really smooth, gave me the boost I needed for today, good quality beans. I got a hot mocha. This is my favorite coffee shop back home and I was thrilled when they opened this one here in Colorado. The staff is always so friendly, the vibes are good, and most importantly, the coffee is incredible. I'm not sure exactly what all is in the moon milk they use, but it tastes almost like melted ice cream to me. I've tried the half winter moon and it was too sweet for me (but is my partner's drink of choice), so I go with the quarter winter moon and it's perfect. read more

I've been here 3 times now and I've had good experiences, despite not understanding the menu. The interior is really cute and cozy. This is a great place to catch up with friends, or do you a little work on your computer. The drinks that I've had were tasty. I really enjoyed the cold brew. The coffee is oak roasted and this makes it taste really good. The Moon Milk concept is different, and this is what sets Summer Moon apart from other Coffee Shops. It's neat, however, I have been confused by this concept and ended up ordering the wrong drink every time I've been here. And, it's not advertised that you can get a dairy free version of the Moon Milk. There are syrups to make flavored drinks, however, there's not many examples of what drinks to ask for. Iced drinks are only offered in 16oz or 20oz, which is simply not big enough. I take my coffee seriously, and if I'm at Starbucks, I'm ordering a Venti or Trenta drink. So, for me, this place is an afternoon pick up as opposed to a morning fix. But overall, super cute spot to check out! This may very well be your speed. read more

It was my husband and I's first time here and we thoroughly enjoyed our time. The owner luckily was on his way out and asked us if we had any questions. He was so helpful in giving us more information about the menu and gave us a history of this coffee shop! The space is super cute and had a good space for work and studying. It was clean and nicely decorated. Sadly, we went on a Saturday morning -- so there were no seating! I can tell it's a well-loved coffee shop because it was so packed! There were also outdoor seating options as well. Our drinks: Winter Moon 4/5 -- this is the latte with espresso and more than half of the cup with their moon cream! This drink was very sweet and thick. My husband didn't like that it was sweet but I enjoyed it! Matcha Moon 5/5 -- I love my matcha lattes and I really enjoyed this thoroughly. Some matcha lattes doesn't come sweetened but this one did! It wasn't too sweet or not too sweet. It was a perfect balance of sweetness. I really enjoyed this drink! Highly recommend this place! Am I in Austin or Colorado? WOW! I can't tell a difference. It was so nice for this Austin transplant to find out there is a summer moon here! I felt right at home. The gal at the counter was extremely sweet and provided great customer service. The coffee was absolutely delicious. The moon milk is still just as good as I remember. It's a bit of a drive for me from downtown Denver but it's completely worth it. There is plenty of parking and great wifi! I will be back again soon! read more

I was drawn to Summer Moon by the "Oak Roasted Coffee" sign, and I am SO glad I came in! The atmosphere is welcoming and warm, the staff was amazing, the merch selection is top notch. The Cortado was DELICIOUS! The flavor in the espresso was dimensional and smooth. So good! I was delightfully impressed by the gluten-free treats available. I chose the cinnamon coffee cake and it was (without a doubt) the best coffee cake I've had in SO many years! Truly, the taste & texture struck a nostalgic note from my past that was so sweet. What I wasn't expecting was to hear music that nourishes my faith walk, and I lingered far longer than I originally intended to, because (for me) the presence of God was tangible. Agree with others when they say even the "1/4 moon is still took sweet" Don't feel like you have to try the moon milk just because it's their specialty. I really enjoyed the flavor of the coffee, it doesn't need much else. The space was super cute with nice natural light, plentiful seating options, good music. On the second visit one of our drinks was incorrect but unfortunately we didn't notice until we left. I met a friend here for coffee as she knows this brand from Texas and was very excited to see one here in Denver. I thought it was a cute neighborhood coffee shop in the burbs of Thornton. I'd say that's the worst thing about this place haha it's so far away to get it. I really enjoyed my coffee, I got the blue moon which they said was lavender with dairy free moon milk. Very good coffee, they said it was made half moon (which is like a half sweetness )and I thought it was perfect. I will say i wouldn't be mad about more prominent lavender though. Coming from Austin where I would study at Summer Moon coffees all the time, I was so excited when this location opened up in Thornton (the first one in Colorado!!). The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming, as was the service from the baristas. The interior is cozy and cute, including a big fireplace and lots of table space. I tried the blueberry crisp latte (half sweet) and liked it a lot! It was still on the sweeter side for me, but enjoyable overall. I paired it with a blueberry scone! You can definitely remote work from Summer Moon if you're interested. There's plenty of table space for it, the private WiFi was pretty fast, and there's about average outlet availability.
