Well..the search for a great kolaches continues.. They call them sausage rolls here, which was a trip for me. There isn't a lot of places in Denver that have them and so far in my search, this is the best I've found yet. They have two types to choose from: jalepeno and cheese and regular sausage and cheese. I was at nearby volunteer job and getting some donuts for the crew. It's definitely a hole in the wall type of donut place bit who cares as long as the donut is good and price is right. Had plenty of varieties to choose from. After picking dozens assorted including twists and rolls, it set me back by over $20 and definitely not on the cheap side for comparable places. I used to think that flashy donut places would have the best donuts. I was wrong. The best donuts are off the beaten path and this is absolutely one of them. The red velvet cupcake I had this morning might be the best donut I have ever had. I have inadvertently turned my kids into donut lovers so we have been all over town. I have worked nearby for a few years and today I had a few extra minutes so I decided I would stop for a donut. I was pleased to see 100% vegetable oil, fresh donuts made daily and Dazbog coffee signs. I had underestimated this place. I was impressed when I went inside and saw how cute and clean it is. I was immediately greeted by a friendly, smiling lady. I ordered my donut and she asked me if I wanted it filled and showed me the fillings. I picked Bavarian Cream and she filled it on the spot. Sugar Rush is now on door dash and I finally got to try there donuts. Ordered the most popular box a bakers dozen variety box and 2 sausage rolls. First the sausage rolls were hot and delicious. Would order these over and over. Second the donuts I didn't get my exact order but on the menu it said I might not so that is fine. The donuts I did get were fresh and fluffy. Not to sweet and the donut holes were warm and melt in your mouth delicious. I hope they decide to stay on door dash because I would order from here all the time. It did take a long time to get my order. The door dasher said the order was wrong but since I wasn't there and I liked what I got I'm not going to dock a star for that. read more

So I took my daughter for a daddy day, and she wanted doughnuts. We picked Sugar Rush because it was listed as Doughnut Bar on Google. I was surprised when I got there, but these things happen. Anyway, there are about twenty flavors. I got an apple fritter. It was fine, but I could buy something flakier at a grocery store. The fritter was kinda like a day old at a bakery. Good flavor, but a dense texture that I thought should have been lighter. There was one coffee dispenser. The coffee was hot, mild flavor and fine. I read the other posts and nothing about the place is 5 stars. But its fine for a quick dozen for the office. read more

This placed is owned by a couple that starts making donuts at midnight, so that they can have the store open and ready for business by 5am. Every single donut is made from scratch, and they have a HUGE variety. They also serve breakfast, which taste better than I thought it would, so that was a pleasant surprise. The donuts were yummy, and of course they serve coffee. I also want to add that they sell a chocolate dipped braided donut, that normally does not have any filling. That was the donut I picked, except it reminded me of an éclair, so I wanted éclair filling. Since they make everything from scratch she offered to fill it for me. My first experience here was nice. I needed two dozen donuts and a carton of coffee for a meeting about 20 minutes before, and they were able to put something for me quickly. The staff was really nice and helpful. She helped me carry the order to my car. There were a variety of donuts and the filled ones are filled once you order them, which is nice; I'm not entirely sure what difference it makes since I don't eat donuts a lot -- less soggy? More fresh? I got a lot of compliments from the meeting attendees about the taste of the donuts, but as not-donut person, I thought they were okay. I would say the location is convenient as it is on a corner of an intersection, but getting to it is kind of weird coming from the east side. The turn has you turn into this narrow alley-like street which is right in front of another shop's entrance so people just stepping out into the street in front of you. Parking is limited, but I don't think the area gets that crowded outside of breakfast and lunch times. I would come here again to order for future meetings/events due to its proximity, but I would also go to any other place that's close. It was not a bad experience, I just wouldn't go out my way. I was not "wow" by anything besides the customer service, but again, it might just be me not being a donut person. read more
