The Ruben: my question to the United States of America is why is this not available at drive thrus instead of Big Macs? I understand why there is a cult dedicated to this marvelous sandwich that I felt compelled to eat two days in a row after my daughter gave me a bite of her leftovers. WOW!!! 1000 Stars! I aspire to try other menu items someday too, but I feel like it might be necessary to always get this sandwich for emotional support while experimenting.

3/21/26. Root vegetable Reuben deserves all the hype!!

I was in town from Austin and my Denver friend said I HAD to get the root vegetable Reuben at Gladys'. It was as marvelous as she raved, absolutely unforgettable, pure plant-based perfection! I let my server choose my side and the fries with the drizzled sauce were delectable. A fantastic pickle accompanied the meal as well. I couldn't resist getting one of their vegan cookies for dessert-it was MAJORLY decadent and delicious. Y'all---treat yo self, get the cookie! All in all this was a major *chef's kiss* experience! A standing-ovation meal :-D As my friend did, I will be recommending this Reuben to anyone I know traveling to Denver!

Absolutely delicious!!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is located inside the Edgewater Market and is a fully vegan restaurant where you can choose to eat inside or take it as a takeaway option and eat outside or in the common area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ordered the Lucky (which is lions mane mushrooms) and Reuben. We also ordered 2 cookies as well. Everything was DELICIOUS! I'm glad we don't live in Denver area because we would be there on a weekly basis. The service was excellent as well.

Wow! What an unexpected yummy treat. We both had a lions mane sandwich with delicious fries. A perfect 10. Seriously!

A group of us from out of town came based on the suggestion of a local friend, and Gladys did not disappoint! I ordered the Po' Boi burger for myself and got the truffle sauce with my fries, and let me tell you, you MUST get the sauce if you like creamy, mushroom stuff! The Po' Boi was also delicious, and I got to sample a bit of the Kabocha Gnocchi, the Reuben, and the Sweet Beet salad, and they were all things I would order again! I honestly was surprised by how much I liked the Sweet Beet salad, as I am not typically a fan of grapefruit (which I believe was one of the citrus fruits included in the dish), but it's a great mix of sweet and earthy flavors. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The location is inside of a food court type setup, so this also seems like a good place for a group with varied tastes, as if you have omnivores with a fear of vegetarian/vegan food with you, they could grab food elsewhere and I believe you could take your food and eat it out in the court area together.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor is modern and reasonably trendy, and the restaurant was very clean (but we also arrived shortly after opening, so that's to be expected).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I think it would make a decent date spot as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I think next time I'm in the Denver area, I would prioritize stopping by here. It was really tasty, and a nice little gem of a restaurant!

Truly the best vegan Rueben on the planet... maybe even in the universe! The celery root is shaved perfectly, seasoned and flavored to perfection. The fires fresh and topped with the perfect amount of sauce. The gnocchi was absolutely comforting... massive serving size! The gnocchi was fluffy and soft, a dish that tells you what season we're in. The did not like the cookie, it was very dry. Service exceeded 5 stars. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior is spacious, clean, and eloquently decorated with modern decor.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I can't wait to return to Denver for another Rueben and more seasonal dishes from Gladys.

This place is to die for! I've been here several times and everything is amazing. I took my husband(who eats everything) to Somebody People last year and he was very underwhelmed because the serving sizes were so small. On our way into Gladys he warned me that he might get more food after- he was full when we left! He also thought it was amazing!

While perusing the public market, There's lots of good options, but this one is a must try! They have a rotating all plant-based menu with one staple and that's their Reuben sandwich. The flavors were there!! Love a good a Ruben and it's been a long time for me as I've been vegan for nine years, the sauerkraut, rye bread. you don't always come across to vegan Reuben sandwich. This is the one to try. The other gem we were lucky to try is their strawberry rhubarb vanilla cake! I wasn't sure what to expect but I'm so glad we got it. It was beautiful, decadent, sweet and tangy just like you'd expect from a strawberry rhubarb pie, but moist & creamy with the layer of vanilla cake & the vanilla sauce, pooling on the side. Service was very helpful and friendly as we were torn on what to get . [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance in the public market is very casual. Think of it as a fun adult cafeteria.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Gladys Restaurant is clearly the best restaurant choice at Edgewater Market. I was skeptical -- a vegan restaurant. But yes, it is very special and if you did not know it was strictly a vegetarian restaurant, you might not know. A friend told me to try this place and while I had walked by it 100 times and passed (because it was, well all veggies, I'm sorry it took me so long to fine quality food. The celery root Reuben sandwich was spectacular. The seasonal cassoulet hearty and tasty. A large selection of non-alcoholic all organic cocktails available. ...and if you prefer wine/beer/ or mixed drink with your meal, Gladys clearly states you may bring in from the other vendors inside the market. Service was friendly, helpful and efficient. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Inside the place is upscale, simple, comfortable with nice soft lighting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]This was a cool place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] ...and I bet when you leave, you will not have missed eating meat for a meal. Gladys puts vegetables on a pedestal and they stand out as the stars of the show.

The "Lucky" gluten free with a gluten free bun. Upgraded the fries

I have nothing but amazing things to say about this place! The quality of ingredients were phenomenal. I loved that I was able to actually eat something within a food court! They were very accommodating with my gluten free adjustments. The staff were so friendly & kind too. I felt so good after this delicious meal!

I was eating a no meat day so I decided to try Gladys. I wanted something with lots of veggies that wasn't just French fries. Gladys is actually a delicious vegan place that even non vegans can enjoy. I ordered the Reuben and the potato fritters and they were actually pretty delicious. It comes with lots of food so it's big enough to share between two or three. I like that they have a very small menu so you are not overwhelmed with choices. Service is very friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]If you're a vegan and you're out with friends who aren't, this is a great place because it's located at Edgewater Market so there's something for everyone.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Visiting from out of town and was taken here by my son and wow. What a lovely experience. Super nice people behind the counter....[[HIGHLIGHT]]excellent food and a great comfy atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We had the Reuben, the gnocchi and a salad. All perfect! Definitely worth a high rating!

I was looking at the plates, but noticed that I could just order single items as a side. I wound up getting the Kik Alicha (yellow split peas), and it was great! It was a very generous serving, with what looks like two pieces of injera bread (yummy tart Ethiopian bread). I got rice as an add-on and the whole thing only cost $9.00! Had I ordered without the rice, it would have only been $6.00. Prices like that are almost unseen these days! The Kik Alicia was nicely seasoned and mild (not spicy), and was the perfect protein for me. Service was also super fast, too! Highly recommended if you're vegan/vegetarian and looking for some simple comfort food. Love when I'm traveling and can find good food like this!

As Lucy's is known for their stuffed burgers, I went with The Juicy Lucy and a half order of fries. The burgers are made with a 76/24 blend and stuffed with cheese, onions, and pickles. There are plenty of add-ons (tomato, lettuce, pepperoncini, bacon, even an egg), but go easy as these burgers are seriously indulgent and filling. The skinny fries were fabulous (you can't have just one). My order arrived quick AND hot. The burger was good and as promised, juicy. Definitely recommend indulging in a cocktail too. Lucy's infuses their vodka so check out the Cherry Spritz (it isn't quite as tart as the name implies) or the pineapple flavored Lucy's Spritz. Beer and wine are served as well as Pepsi products.

While I loved the ambiance of Lucy's in Denver, the actually cheese stuffed burger was a major fail. First of all I didn't even see any cheese oozing out of the pattie once I bit into in. Nor a fan of the automatic tip which our waitress told us about when we ordered. There also was another fee for cost of living or something. The Thali caught my eye as it's essentially a traditional platter with a variety of balanced small plates from rice to potatoes to dal soup and even dessert all on a single tray. I got it with Butter Chicken which was so good! Highly recommend as it was creamy, medium spicy, and very aromatic. I absolutely loved the street-style chaat! It's creamy, crunchy, cold, and loaded with flavors and textures. Such a satisfying bite and I almost couldn't stop until it was gone. I love that this Thali came with both rice & naan as I usually want both and can't decide lol! The rice was fluffy and aromatic from the cumin while the garlic naan was fresh, soft, and delicately brushed with garlic & parsley. I didn't care for the dal soup (bit too watery) or the jeera potatoes (bit undercooked) but the dessert was a nice way to end the meal. Their options included rice pudding and gulab jamun; I went with the "healthier" option lol. It was creamy, sweet, and cooled down my palate after the various dishes. The Lamb Biryani was another good try! The lamb chunks were tender and seasoned, the rice was aromatic, and it paired well with the onions and raita (yogurt sauce). This definitely satisfied my craving and I'm glad I stopped by before the long day I had ahead!
