GET THE REUBEN. Cute little restaurant in edgewater market with solid vegan options and has seating or take out options. The Reuben was delicious and I will absolutely get it again. Their other food was also good. Definitely a go to for good vegan food
I love Gladys. They have the second-best reuben I've ever had in my entire life - and it's made of turnips! Every time I go to Edgewater Public Market, if I'm hungry, I don't even think about where to go or what to get. And take a look at this thing! It's magnificent.
I was in town from Austin and my Denver friend said I HAD to get the root vegetable Reuben at Gladys'. It was as marvelous as she raved, absolutely unforgettable, pure plant-based perfection! I let my server choose my side and the fries with the drizzled sauce were delectable. A fantastic pickle accompanied the meal as well. I couldn't resist getting one of their vegan cookies for dessert-it was MAJORLY decadent and delicious. Y'all---treat yo self, get the cookie! All in all this was a major *chef's kiss* experience! A standing-ovation meal :-D As my friend did, I will be recommending this Reuben to anyone I know traveling to Denver!
The Ruben: my question to the United States of America is why is this not available at drive thrus instead of Big Macs? I understand why there is a cult dedicated to this marvelous sandwich that I felt compelled to eat two days in a row after my daughter gave me a bite of her leftovers. WOW!!! 1000 Stars! I aspire to try other menu items someday too, but I feel like it might be necessary to always get this sandwich for emotional support while experimenting.
Second visit was just as amazing as the first! I've tried the Reuben (10/10), Caesar Salad, the Flatbread, and the Lion's Mane Mushroom sandwich. Blown away by the quality and taste! Explosion of flavors in every bite. Service was very attentive, kind, and provided good recommendations for the neighborhood. The restaurant is located inside of Edgewater Public Market but still has an elevated chic appearance. Will be coming here time and time again! So happy to have found this completely plant-based restaurant.
A group of us from out of town came based on the suggestion of a local friend, and Gladys did not disappoint! I ordered the Po' Boi burger for myself and got the truffle sauce with my fries, and let me tell you, you MUST get the sauce if you like creamy, mushroom stuff! The Po' Boi was also delicious, and I got to sample a bit of the Kabocha Gnocchi, the Reuben, and the Sweet Beet salad, and they were all things I would order again! I honestly was surprised by how much I liked the Sweet Beet salad, as I am not typically a fan of grapefruit (which I believe was one of the citrus fruits included in the dish), but it's a great mix of sweet and earthy flavors. The location is inside of a food court type setup, so this also seems like a good place for a group with varied tastes, as if you have omnivores with a fear of vegetarian/vegan food with you, they could grab food elsewhere and I believe you could take your food and eat it out in the court area together. The decor is modern and reasonably trendy, and the restaurant was very clean (but we also arrived shortly after opening, so that's to be expected). I think it would make a decent date spot as well. I think next time I'm in the Denver area, I would prioritize stopping by here. It was really tasty, and a nice little gem of a restaurant!
Absolutely delicious!!! This is located inside the Edgewater Market and is a fully vegan restaurant where you can choose to eat inside or take it as a takeaway option and eat outside or in the common area. We ordered the Lucky (which is lions mane mushrooms) and Reuben. We also ordered 2 cookies as well. Everything was DELICIOUS! I'm glad we don't live in Denver area because we would be there on a weekly basis. The service was excellent as well.
Truly the best vegan Rueben on the planet... maybe even in the universe! The celery root is shaved perfectly, seasoned and flavored to perfection. The fires fresh and topped with the perfect amount of sauce. The gnocchi was absolutely comforting... massive serving size! The gnocchi was fluffy and soft, a dish that tells you what season we're in. The did not like the cookie, it was very dry. Service exceeded 5 stars. The interior is spacious, clean, and eloquently decorated with modern decor. I can't wait to return to Denver for another Rueben and more seasonal dishes from Gladys.
This place is to die for! I've been here several times and everything is amazing. I took my husband(who eats everything) to Somebody People last year and he was very underwhelmed because the serving sizes were so small. On our way into Gladys he warned me that he might get more food after- he was full when we left! He also thought it was amazing!

While perusing the public market, There's lots of good options, but this one is a must try! They have a rotating all plant-based menu with one staple and that's their Reuben sandwich. The flavors were there!! Love a good a Ruben and it's been a long time for me as I've been vegan for nine years, the sauerkraut, rye bread. you don't always come across to vegan Reuben sandwich. This is the one to try. The other gem we were lucky to try is their strawberry rhubarb vanilla cake! I wasn't sure what to expect but I'm so glad we got it. It was beautiful, decadent, sweet and tangy just like you'd expect from a strawberry rhubarb pie, but moist & creamy with the layer of vanilla cake & the vanilla sauce, pooling on the side. Service was very helpful and friendly as we were torn on what to get . The ambiance in the public market is very casual. Think of it as a fun adult cafeteria.
First time reviewer of food here- I used to be vegan, but do not discriminate- good food is good food and this was the most thoughtful curated menu and precious gem of a restaurant I've been to in a long time. The staff was first of all- so patient, graceful, and kind. I told my friend that I feel like everyone who works here loves their life and has low / very healthy cortisol levels. They then proceeded to be so kind in helping me (so indecisive) order the perfect lunch. After this, the waiter told me that no one had ever told him how cool calm and collected the staff seemed there before- and then - they all sang happy birthday to a coworker chef and presented him with a beautiful tiered vegan chocolate cake. Precious!!!!!!' Everyone worked with a smile, crafting passion into each dish- it was literally beautiful I felt like I was watching a culinary movie. Also Reuben and Caesar were among the best I've ever had of both. Who knew a Caesar could be so elevated- each bite required me to close my eyes and appreciate. Also - the dark chocolate sea salt cookie - get it :) so good 10/10 for everything. Will be back and so excited!!
Gladys Restaurant is clearly the best restaurant choice at Edgewater Market. I was skeptical -- a vegan restaurant. But yes, it is very special and if you did not know it was strictly a vegetarian restaurant, you might not know. A friend told me to try this place and while I had walked by it 100 times and passed (because it was, well all veggies, I'm sorry it took me so long to fine quality food. The celery root Reuben sandwich was spectacular. The seasonal cassoulet hearty and tasty. A large selection of non-alcoholic all organic cocktails available. ...and if you prefer wine/beer/ or mixed drink with your meal, Gladys clearly states you may bring in from the other vendors inside the market. Service was friendly, helpful and efficient. Inside the place is upscale, simple, comfortable with nice soft lighting. This was a cool place. ...and I bet when you leave, you will not have missed eating meat for a meal. Gladys puts vegetables on a pedestal and they stand out as the stars of the show.
This is a special one. I've toured many plant-based restaurants around CA and CO and I put a lot of weight into my declaration that Gladys is THE BEST. The best food ever, hands down!!! Am I allowed to say it changed my life? It's located in the Edgewater Public Market which is rad. I highly recommend dining in! The dining space is dimly lit and has a great atmosphere. It suits a formal occasion, but I tend to go more casually. And WOW, the cleanliness and organization in this space makes my brain happy. The staff are all wonderful. The handful I have spoken with are super friendly and warm. Everyone in the kitchen seems to be smiling. It's hard not to catch this contagious, pleasant attitude. But the food - it's world-class. All vegan all good! Gladys is located inside a public food market warehouse. The place offers its own seating but one can also order out eat in the open seating offered in the warehouse. The food was very good. Their signature veggie Reuben was filling and normally i would have taken half to go but i could not stop eating . The fries were nice and crispy and i think they make their own ketchup... The beans & grains, as described by partner "was delicious"! We were tempted to dessert but were too stuffed to the gills. I was eating a no meat day so I decided to try Gladys. I wanted something with lots of veggies that wasn't just French fries. Gladys is actually a delicious vegan place that even non vegans can enjoy. I ordered the Reuben and the potato fritters and they were actually pretty delicious. It comes with lots of food so it's big enough to share between two or three. I like that they have a very small menu so you are not overwhelmed with choices. Service is very friendly. If you're a vegan and you're out with friends who aren't, this is a great place because it's located at Edgewater Market so there's something for everyone. read more
Visiting from out of town and was taken here by my son and wow. What a lovely experience. Super nice people behind the counter....excellent food and a great comfy atmosphere. We had the Reuben, the gnocchi and a salad. All perfect! Definitely worth a high rating! read more

THE MENU HAS CHANGED!!! And YES, Edgewater Public Market is the town Jewel!! And Gladys is very creative with their Vegan menus, PLUS being absolutely CUSTOMER ORIENTED WITH GIGGLES! Plus their service is Impecable!! With Smiles plus superfast!! THIS TIME: I had the Potato Bean "cup" of Soup. WOW, was this the most CREAMEST of soups I have ever had in my life, The taste was full of potato, yet not over done with caramel onion melting in my mouth. Honestly I could have had a Huge Bowl of this soup with a nice piece of bread for a one Large meal of the day. Did I mention SMOOTH CREAMY, MORE CREAMY THAN CREAM! Additionally, although this would bust my tummy with all too much food, came the Squash Fritters, these are delicately crispy with a nice creamy green sauce, which I asked for, The Squash Fritters come with a spicy sauce, which my tummy cannot handle. And what do you think GREAT Chef owners do? They gave me another sauce!!! WOW ~ CUSTOMER HAPPINESS!! This bespeaks to their customer service: NO PROBLEM!! We will give you an alternative dipping sauce and it was delicious. The Squash Fritters are good, why I took 1 star less, I could not detect the "Squash" which is a lovely flavor, just a bit to pump up. The Menu has changed to some scrumptilicious foods, and DO NOT FORGET they make their own Large cookies, They really are delicious. Gladys is an exceptional Kiosk at the Edgewater Public Market, always busy, with happy Chefs busily working to serve each person with a smile and Happy Appetizing Vegan Food, very imaginative, and with a New Menu, it is a must to return. The Most Favorite which did not leave the menu is their Ruben Sandwich, it is HUGE and IMFAMOUS!! Does look delicious and did I mention HUGE!! Great and only Vegan Kiosk with LOADS OF FLAVOR!! I have nothing but amazing things to say about this place! The quality of ingredients were phenomenal. I loved that I was able to actually eat something within a food court! They were very accommodating with my gluten free adjustments. The staff were so friendly & kind too. I felt so good after this delicious meal! read more

This is an amazing vegan/plant-based place recommended by the owner of the Greek restaurant right across from it (I first went there to order their veggie plate. The owner then asked me if I was a vegetarian or vegan. Whereas I tend to order a lot of vegetarian/vegan dishes when I'm out, I do eat meat from time to time so answer to his question it was "No, I am not" but since he insisted that I go check out the vegan/plant-based place, not his restaurant (lol!!) I went here. And I didn't regret a bit!!) However they came up with the recipe of this dish is beyond phenomenal. The main base is the cashew milk as it is creamy. And there is this hint of sourness which I didn't know where it was coming from. But as soon as I read the ingredients I had this "Aha" moment: It's the shallot. Let's not forget about the customer service. The guy who took my order was very pleasant and welcoming. I asked him about the most popular items on the menu and he said the one I had in mind (Tofu) was definitely one of them. He also said that it's very hearty as well. To pick this dish as my very first dish at my very first visit at this restaurant was the right thing to do so I highly recommend that you get this at your first visit. Believe me, it is sooo good. If I go ahead and become frank about the tofu dish though, its portion is a bit small for the price. Also, wild rice (one of the ingredients) was barely there so my request is that the restaurant increases the amount of rice they put in this dish so that it'll be more noticeable. I really liked the succulent decoration on the wall to the right of the restaurant; it truly echoes the theme of the cuisine they offer. I simply cannot wait to go back and try other things on the menu. The next one might be the Reuben sandwich (and this is plant based as well, of course!!) Goodness, this restaurant is definitely ahead of the plant-based cuisine game for sure. read more

The hubs and I love coming to the edgewater market. Tonight I decided to try a new spot for dinner. The fava bean croquettes looked delish and I was not wrong. The staff was all really friendly for starters. Then I got my dish and I could not have been happier. The croquettes were light and crispy. The salad was perfectly dressed and the tart lemon cut through the fried croquettes perfectly. I also got a salaried chocolate chip cookie for dessert which was rich and packed full of chocolate. Really solid meal overall. read more
