Barbacoa Fries
Jacqueline T.

I'm not vegan or vegetarian, but you don't need to be to love this place. My husband and I shared: - Barbacoa Fries - Fried Brussels - BBQ Bowl with Seitan - Churrasco Cheesesteak with Mac and Cheese Everything was fantastic. The BBQ bowl was probably my favorite. I loved the diversity of flavors with the veggies, bbq, and mac and cheese. The fries had so many good spices and saucy flavors. I love brussels sprouts and these didn't disappoint. While I loved the cheesesteak, I probably wouldn't get it on my own because it's huge and very rich, so there's no way I'd want to eat the whole thing. The mac and cheese is made with coconut milk which gives it a unique flavor. We ordered way too much food so we took home a full meal for the next day and it was great leftover too. There is free street parking on the road next to it for two hours and we had no issue getting a spot on a weekday late afternoon. Whether or not you eat meat, this spot is worth a try!

Eh not too impressed with the food. I really wanted to like it but was underwhelmed by the food. We like going places where my partner's food preferences are not a hindering. The dishes were unique but nothing blew me away. The soup was probably the best part of my meal. The service was also a little slow. People sitting near us got salads and they looked really good...next time will try that if I come back. I will say the dessert was very good and my partner devoured it.

City O' City was a favorite of mine when I lived in the area. I love all the dishes they have and it's crazy they're all vegan. It can be a bit pricey, but we have our standard items we get there. We love the Seitan Wings, half/half flavor. Their Seitan Wings are some of the best I've ever had. I loved the buffalo sauce, and their ranch is amazing!! Favorite ranch in the world! Their happy hour deals are pretty sweet. This most recent time we got desserts and they are fab. They have a vegan bakery next door so it's amazing. Love this place, but now its a rare delight for us and especially for happy hour.

Visiting CO, so glad we stopped to try this place! Such a cool vibe inside and outside with several good menu options. Everything we got was delicious and their vegan ranch is top tier. Love when vegan/vegetarian places have meat substitute and non meat options! We also got a coffee on our way out at the TOGO counter which was a nice treat !

Cool lgbtq+ spot with a variety of vegan plates in downtown Denver, walking distance to the Denver art museum. The sundae was DELICIOUS! The squash soup was great too, and they have an awesome happy hour menu to choose from, daily.

Went here for a happy hour while I was in town for work. Really cool space with a friendly staff. The vegan barbacoa they had on the fries was SO convincing, I had to triple check the menu that I wasn't accidentally eating meat. The dish was very indulgent and very delicious! I also got the fried ravioli, which were insanely good with the pesto. Highly recommend his place.

City Hash with Tofu and green chili sauce

Pretty much my ideal breakfast/brunch spot. Huge space, plenty of seating, with an all-vegetarian menu, most items having vegan options. I got the City Hash with Tofu ($16) and got it with green chili sauce (rather than gravy) at the server's recommendation, and some coffee. The hash came out within 10 minutes with generous portion of delectable, thinly sliced potatoes, nicely seasoned tofu scramble, tons of broccoli and cauliflower, a little spinach, and pickled onion. Everything worked beautifully together -- great flavours, textures, and solid portion. Super friendly service. What a great long-time spot.

Well, it's been a hot minute since I've been here and although service upon arrival could have been better(short staffed?) the kindness of our server and the quality of food was wonderful! My kiddo, who was convinced that poutine sounded awful, I'm happy to report is a believer! He devoured half of my poutine and wanted more! He had some velvety Mac n cheese and I love that it came with so much steamed broccoli! Ambiance is cool crunchy and inclusive!

Really nice service here, and the vibe is pretty cool, super friendly and inclusive. We got street parking right across the street on a Friday night. It's a huge place, tons of seating indoor, and we had a reservation but I'd say it's not needed for dinner. I was looking forward to trying all the plant based food, but unfortunately it fell a little flat. The seitan in the bbq mac bowl was a little too salty and the mac n cheese was an odd flavor, maybe due to the vegan cheese. The cauliflower chicken was a good texture, but the waffle was an odd texture. I wanted to love this place but unfortunately the food wasn't the best, although service was lovely. Maybe we would have to try their breakfast/brunch menu.

Friendly servers and a good variety of food and drink. All the food was delicious (coming from a non-vegan).

This vegetarian restaurant has a very casual and welcoming vibe. Walked in ~1:30PM after a tour of the Colorado State Capitol and got seated right away. Spacious, it has a full bar and gender neutral comfort rooms. My server Sheena was lovely and gave great service. Got Seitan wings. You can have buffalo or barbeque sauce. You also have the option of half and half which I did. I liked the barbeque sauce more; buffalo sauce had a kick but not very spicy. For dessert, I got the Sundae O' Sundae which was a brownie sundae with eclipse soft serve (you can also do half vanilla, half chocolate!), brownie and chocolate sauce. It was not that rich and it was alright. They also sold some merchandise like shirts. Overall, would give the place a 4/5.

Came on my own, and if you're not planning to sit at the bar, this does seem like a slightly awkward place to be dining alone, but the food is tasty enough to make up for it. City O City has more of a bar vibe to me than a restaurant vibe, which I hadn't been expecting (and perhaps contributed to the awkwardness I felt, as I have always been a tee-totaler and thus have next to no time spent in bar environments). I was seated relatively close to the bar itself, as well. It was a bit loud for mousy ol' me, but the other patrons seemed to be really enjoying it, so if that's your scene, this place will be great for you! It seemed clean, too, so no sticky bar table problems, and the waitress I interacted with was friendly and helpful. I wanted to try the poutine and the barbacoa mushroom tacos, and decided last minute to try one of the non-alcoholic cocktails, I think it was called something like a sidecar with a number? (I don't know any real drink equivalents and kinda picked at random.) The poutine was decadent and filling, with a pretty good melty vegan cheese curd, and the mushroom tacos were smoky and light. The mocktail was interesting and not sweet (which is what I was looking for), with a pleasant citrus bitterness. Overall definite A+ on the food I had, but I think I would want to come with my husband or friends if I am in the area again, because it does feel a little strange sitting alone in there.

Years later and still makes an absolutely mean vegetarian BBQ bowl! Greens are always fresh. Must try even if not vegetarian. Place is just how it was, still friendly and fun!

Fun bathroom. Artistic graffiti and stickers.

I made a reservation on…read moreOpenTable, and I ended up needing to increase the number of people to 8 a few days before the reservation. Accommodating our party was no problem. My mom, who usually scoffs at fancy restaurants and their fancy prices, absolutely loved her $10 ginger sunrise juice drink (I made her get it) and said that her sweet corn eggs benedict ($19) was one of the best things she's ever eaten. Our server Julie did an amazing job taking care of our party, some of whom arrived on time and some of whom didn't. The 20% large party gratuity was well-earned. I loved that the restaurant being connected to the hotel meant that the lobby was a beautiful space for those of us who got there early to gather and for us to all chat before we went our separate ways. Many of us were enthralled by the Moët & Chandon vending machine in the lobby, as well as the super cool "fire in a glass box" art piece. I had the $19 chicken philly skillet, which was tasty, but my family members who got the $29 steak and eggs knew what they were doing. My husband, who is incredibly picky about bacon, thought his $6 side of bacon with his $18 buttermilk pancakes was perfectly cooked and not overly seasoned. Thinking about this family meal makes my heart smile. Thanks to the Corinne staff for making it delightful.

This is a fine spot in a hotel downtown, sure, but yikes the pricing was totally out of control!!!…read more Brunch, you know simple cheap stuff like eggs and potatoes, was $130 for TWO people. I don't think I've ever spent more on brunch in my life. Yeah, we got a couple drinks, too. Thank goodness it was my partner's bday and we got the dessert for free. A fine place, but be ready to thin your wallet if you choose it! I wouldn't go again for that reason. I'd find another brunch spot where I can spend $100 or less. Which is still A TON for brunch!!! Restaurants complain so much about business, but then price it to the point where they get less business. What's gotta give? Hotels have the luxury of being more expensive since they have people staying & paying on the company dollar. But, I didn't pick the spot, and I got a bougiea$$ partner! Lol.

Location (4 stars) This restaurant is downtown near the convention center. parking is pricy if you valet park at the hotel. Last year it was around $40. Parking in the lot across the street for $25 dollars Easter Sunday. If you use a walker, I would not recommend the parking lot across the street. Food (3 Stars) The Thanksgiving buffet is the best one. I would rate that buffet a (4). The Christmas and Easter buffet are pretty low key. There is a carving station (ham and prime rib). There is an omelet station. Dessert bar is decorative. Cheesecake was delicious. The warming station with potatoes, sausage etc. leaves much to be desired. The charcuterie station is sparse. They offer unlimited mimosas for an additional $25. Service (5 stars) Staff are extremely friendly. Cleanliness (2 stars) My only complaint, I saw a tabletop being cleaned off with a rag used to clean the chairs and then under the table on the floor and on to the next tabletop. I'm just a little picky about that. Especially since folks these days go commando and wear short attire, and you know their parts are on the chair and now spread to tabletops. Wiping up the crumbs off the floor with same rag simply through me over the edge. Atmosphere (4 stars) Spacious uncrowded environment. Nice decor. Bright with large windows.
