I didn't want to cook after getting my hair done and I saw that Wong Way was going to be at Nooch that Friday. I had had their brunch before but never dinner. They always offer different things and we were excited to try all the different things they had, so ordered a bunch of different things to try. Even though it didn't stay hot by the time I got it home everything was really good just needed a little reheating. Our favorites were the green chili Mac and the chicken ranch tacos. The tots were good and the philly was ok. I didn't get the avocado sauce cuz my stomach can't handle avocado. My husband really liked the burger and didn't want to share. 3 and a half. Their truck was in a street food fest 3 blocks from my house. I walked over to find some food. Ended up ordering 2 tacos (fried jackfruit? I think subbed for fish). Generous portion with some radish, carrots, etc. The crunchy fried jackfruit had great texture. Unfortunately seemed to have literally no spices in the mix, or not enough to register. No cumin, no oregano, no chipotle, no pickled onions, no jalapeno, no cilantro, no lime to squeeze over them. Luckily I had just bought a bottle of hot sauce from another vendor. I like eating vegan and the fresh veg and fried stuff tasted good, but would have liked a hit of acid and some sense of trying to hit a few Mexican flavors. These guys are consistently mind blowing. I love they are always changing up their menu and trying out extremely creative dishes that are consistently delicious. My day is always brightened when I can try out their new creations! The most recent menu items I tried was their lemon raspberry bunt cakes (so moist, flavorful, and perfect), the filled jelly donuts (perfection), their Irish Egg Rolls (unique and fun flavors), and the vegan chicken waffle breakfast sandwich. Great spot for vegan street fare. Yummy food with creative recipes (eggplant bacon, carrot pepperoni). I've wanted to try their food for a while now and finally caught them at the Nooch Vegan Market bake sale. The wait was very long but worth it. They had a few things on the menu and everything sounded great. I went with a Follow Your Heart sandwich (tofu, cheese, veggies) on gluten-free bread and it was delicious. I also tried the poutine - it was tasty but it needed gravy - I didn't actually notice any (possible that they forgot it entirely since they were insanely busy). The crispy fries were great and the herbed feta was pretty good even though I'm not really a feta person. I took my leftover fries home and added a can of veg. chili - yum! They had an easy payment set-up with an employee sitting outside of the truck taking orders (assume this was done because it was a busy event). Friendly staff. Okay, I like most vegetables, and I like certain vegetables very much (sorry raw celery, I still hate you almost as much as salmon). I also enjoy meat (beef, chicken, pork, lamb, etc.), way, way more than I probably should. And, although I frequently refer to vegetarian food as, "bunny food", or "the food my food eats", I always appreciate food that is so tasty that meat is a mere afterthought to my palate. That said, I have really enjoyed the offerings of the WongWayVeg food truck. From what I can tell, the normal offerings include vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free (with some overlap among the categories). I am certainly not the most experienced judge of veggie cuisine, but for me, this is about as good as it gets. The first chance I had to try some the offerings of the chef and proprietor, Lisa, was at a pot-luck event. Her sweet potato wraps were both tasty and filling. Since then, I have visited the WongWayVeg truck at local breweries. Since most local breweries in Colorado do not offer food, it is always nice to have a food truck on site, rather than ordering blah pizza from a chain. I have enjoyed the WongWayVeg Potato Latkes, the Mushroom and Onion Tacos, and most recently, the Drunken Winter Noodles. All were well prepared, delicious, and made excellent accompaniments to the beers I was enjoying. I look forward to trying more of this delicious food (I have my eye on you, Boulder Philly with marinated shrooms, onions, peppers, green chiles with spicy sweet blue agave vegan mayo) in the future. read more

Really enjoyed our first time ordering. The veggie tots came with two sauces, one of which really had some kick. The Baja cauliflower tacos were the highlight, the cauliflower was still crisp under the breading so gave a nice impression of a "fish taco" with lots of texture and flavor. I ordered lunch from this rather vibrant orange vegan food mobile of love. I went with a few work crew peeps as WongWay was parked at the Civic Center Eats event, AKA CCE for the more advanced and in-the-know foodie types. The menu is simple. I think I pondered upon four main items with a few side choices. I had the Sweet Potato Tacos; three flat tortillas with well seasoned flavors with a lime wedge to splash upon the deliciousness and a few slices of avocados. For $8.00, I was happy. If I hadn't eaten a later breakfast before coming, I would have wanted more food, the tacos would have not been enough to eat. The tots looked really good. I joked with my friends that they were little mini muffins, not tots. They looked scrumptious. They had water and sodas available to quench that thirst as well. I do think WongWayVeg does a good job. OMG ok, so I tried Wong Way for the first time for lunch today, which most people didn't think to go as it advertises as Vegan/vegetarian food. But please, like I said when I ordered "just because you're not a vegetarian doesn't mean you can't eat VEGETABLES." YOU WILL NOT MISS THE MEAT- this food is fantastic! I had the Boulder Philly with Veggie Tots. The Boulder Philly is delicious (re: you must like mushrooms, there are a lot of deliciously marinated ones on this sandwich. I'm a mushroom fan so this was no issue). Surprisingly big and filling sandwich, I almost can't get to my TOTS. Which there were plenty of! Veggie tots won't leave you missing traditional tater tots. I thought they would just smell like broccoli or something but I swear if they just handed them to you without any other info other than "these are tots," you wouldn't know the difference in taste. And their side sauces (banana pepper ketchup and the green one lol) are nice and flavorful with a little heat underneath. Portions are pretty generous, when I go again, I'm splitting the Tots and Philly with a friend or saving it for later. But I was SUPER hungry today so flying solo worked out . If you see this green truck ponied up next to a brewery, stop and eat from it right now! It's so good that you'll even go to breweries that you don't care that much about just to enjoy some tasty vegetarian fare. The husband's favorite is the Boulder Philly with mushrooms, peppers, onions, and lots of gooey cheese. This is all on a super soft hoagy roll that you'll want to eat all of. I've had this as well as the mushroom onion tacos, jackfruit quesadillas, and some more seasonal specials and everything has been delicious with spot-on, well thought out flavors. Lisa, the chef/cashier/server/driver, is also incredibly friendly and you can tell she puts a lot of love and pride into the food that she serves. Her prices are also very fair considering the high quality of the ingredients that she sources from local farms. I've had more ultra-bland-$10-with-no-sides-veggie-burger types things from food trucks than I can count, so considering most of her sandwiches fall within the $6-8 range and taste like someone actually put thought into the combination of flavors/ingredients is a breath of fresh air in an increasingly oversaturated market of generic food trucks with one token vegetarian item. We just found out that WongWayVeg is at the Art Gym every Saturday 9am-1pm for brunch! It's so hard to find good vegan breakfast, so we were excited to try it. The biscuit bowl was absolutely incredible! So flavorful, well rounded (tofu, veggies, biscuits, gravy, and hash browns), and the portions are huge! Which is so rare with vegan food. Passed through Denver right on Christmas and WongWay was our savior! This holiday meal option was perfect because the instructions and microwave accomodations for heating (since I was in a hotel) was amazing and I am absolutely grateful. I was impressed by the seamless ordering, processing, and pickup operations as well. We chose the chicken pot pie option and purchased the dumplings as an extra. I think because we were limited to the microwave the pie turned out a tad dry, where perhaps some gravy would have fixed that right up! Their website said their truck was outside Copper Door Coffee Roasters that day so we went their for brunch. My wife and I wanted to share a meal and wanted poached eggs and they were really good. I finally got to try WongWayVeg at an office lunch event in Centennial, and it did not disappoint! For a total of $22, we ordered the summer grilled cheese $8, the philly $9, and veggie tots $5. Everything was outstanding, especially the summer grilled cheese! Layered with peach preserves and fresh sliced peaches (among lots of other things), it was seasonal, sweet, savory, and delicious. I also enjoyed the philly, but it was just an overwhelming amount of mushrooms. I feel like it could use less mushrooms and some more toppings or surprising elements. We only got through half of each sandwich before we were completely stuffed. I would love if they would consider offering half-portions at half the price. I was fortunate enough to enjoy WongWayVeg on Valentine's Day when they did a pop-up 4 course vegan dinner in Denver this year. The food was outstanding - especially their cream of mushroom soup! There was a mix-up when I arrived (customers fault) and they didn't have a seat for me. However, they were amazingly professional, setting me up with my own table, refunding me my entire meal and being incredibly attentive. I had the absolute pleasure of finally meeting the Wong behind WongWayVeg as well as trying out the food when a group of lady friends all met up for some beers last week at Grist Brewing. I was very excited to finally try the food here. There were so many options on the food menu and I liked that the menus were laminated with suggested beer pairings (a nice touch). Once I went outside to actually place my order, I had some questions for the proprietress and she suggested that I try the Bajan burger, as it was more substantial. I have to say she was right on. The Bajan quinoa bean burger was all that and then some. In fact, I want one right now! It was seriously so delicious. I still have to come back and try the latke. Mmm, goat cheese. We also had some appetizers to pass around the table of the quinoa fritters, and the mushroom/onion street tacos. Although I'm not a vegetarian/vegan, I enjoy good food regardless of its labels. Yes, Denver food truck scene! Grooooow! GRRROOOWWWW! ..*ahem* I happened across this truck pretty much by chance when they were stationed outside Jagged Mountain brewery (which, at the time of this review, happens EVERY Friday). My friend and I both needed dinner and the menu had too many interesting and delicious sounding options to miss. Neither of us willing to settle on one dish, we split the fritters and the drunken noodles. The first thing you notice before you even get the food is that the chef - owner? - is AWESOME. She tells you right away to go inside and enjoy your beer, and she'll come bring your dishes when they're ready. How she manages this alone on a Friday night is a mystery, but sure enough our meals magically appeared halfway through our first brews. Both dishes were tasty and satisfying, even for a carnivore like myself. The balancing act between not scorching my mouth on the piping hot, fresh noodles and satisfying my ravenous hunger teetered precariously to either side. The burns I escaped with were worth every bite. The fritters were okay on their own, but the dip they came?
