Came here on a cold Thursday night and had a great experience! There's plenty of seating, both booth/tables and high top / bar seating. There's a self-serve water station, which I love because I drink a lot of water and hate asking to get my drink refilled. I love spicy so of course I had to get the W's Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen! It was really good. That broth is phenomenal and made it so easy for me to completely finish my plate. I would've liked the option to add an egg or have braised pork slices, but I did enjoy the ground pork. Definitely looking forward to exploring the rest of the menu!

I can't express how much I wanted to love this place. An all vegan sushi place with a promise of real sushi like flavors and not just sweet potato tempura on everything... ya that sounded good. But sadly the flavors were non-existent and our experience kept on getting worse. We ordered Hot Flamingo Roll and Fiery Philly Roll. One just tasted like mango and other like Sriracha... literally no other flavors or textures even. The wasabi had the most taste. We thought maybe the Ramen would be better so we got the Tantanmen Ramen and that was worse somehow... it was not hot and tasted sweet like vanilla. Sadly, I would recommend to skip this place altogether no matter what menu item here attracts you. The service was ok... you order food on the counter first which is not very sushi like. And the crowd here was also not the best.

First of all I was stoked to know there was a vegan sushi place in Denver and I brought my children with me to try what they had to offer. We had the Okonomi Fries, Katsu Curry Burrito, Fiery Philly Roll, and the Hot Flamingo Roll. The place looked trendy, clean and promising. However we waited a long while for our food to come to our table. Fortunately they served us the Okonomi Fries which tided us over until the rest of our food arrived. I have to admit the food was good and the sushi rolls were spot on as good as they come. They pulled off the impossible, their sushi rolls were like the real thing, texture, taste and flavor. I kinda liked the Hot Flamingo roll which did a great job imitating a real tuna roll. I also like the Katsu Curry Burrito as well. However the portions were rather small and the prices were in my opinion pricey and after eating all that we ordered, it was not filling. We were still hungry even after paying over $50 worth of food. It's good, don't get me wrong, but the portions for what you pay for is lacking.

So many options to choose from! A favorite vegan sushi place of mine in California recently closed, so I was glad to get to come support & try a vegan sushi spot on my trip to Denver. I got the Tamago Natto Oshi because I've always wanted to try Natto. It was like an umami explosion. Super intense umami flavor because of the truffle, so be prepared! The rice was done perfectly. I'm not sure what the flat yellow part was, but it reminded me of chickpea tofu. The seaweed salad was vibrant and yummy! My friend got the sushi rolls and they were beautiful! I tired the royal potato one and it just tasted like purple sweet potato (the potato overpowered the other flavors). Ordering is self serve. It was nice because the system showed pictures of most of the menu items, so it helped me confirm what I wanted by seeing what it would look like. Lots of seating. Water & napkins & chopsticks were also self serve. I was surprised they didn't have reusable chopsticks. The staff member I spoke with was helpful. I asked quite a few questions about what menu items were & which fake meats were homemade or from certain brands. I would definitely come back here to try more menu items, like ramen!

Everything is so full of flavor! I live in Wyoming and will drive to Denver specifically to go to Wellness Sushi. The ramen is soooo delicious and my boyfriend (who's been to Japan) says the ramen tastes fully authentic. I cannot wait to eat here again! Also, the staff is very kind, and it has a very calming vibe in the restaurant.

Potential for better, you can tell the rolls are made by professionals. Out of 4 rolls I really liked 2, especially the smoked one. Two of them had too much toppings of crunch and mayo, which made the taste of the real roll underpowered. Overall I recommend it and will go back.

This place is fire for vegan sushi. I would love if they had more gluten free options, but for a dedicated vegan spot I'm really impressed. Mostly, I'm a bit confused as to how more of the options aren't GF as they report all their soy sauce is GF (I assume that they use a tamari or coconut aminos, meaning that their menu items listing "dark soy sauce" are either incorrect or all their soy sauce is not GF?). Service took about 40 minutes for the sushi rolls, 20 minutes over the anticipated time and we had to remind the waitress of a roll we ordered. I tried the ramen and wasn't incredibly impressed with the flavor -- just a bit bland and I would have appreciated it more if there were more toppings / it was less noodle heavy (but, again, it was made GF so maybe they left items out of it?). All around a great addition to the vegan food scene, just still leaves something to be desired.

A very underrated vegan sushi place in Denver. This is one of the best Japanese food I have had in the US. Their place is quite small and understaffed for large groups. They take more time to serve. We ordered a variety of sushis and Ramen. Their Ramen is extremely delicious and feels like a hug in a bowl. We came to this place twice just for the Ramen. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for some vegetarian/vegan food when you're in Denver.

I have been ordering from here since before they had a brink and mortar location. I have tried a lot of things and everything I have tried has been delicious. I really loved sushi before I went vegan so Wellness has been a real treat for me. Last time I visited had the All Krab Oshi and the Love in the Endo roll. I especially liked the Endo Roll with the mango on it. I ordered from the kiosk and I got my food really quickly. I wish I lived closer so I could eat here more often.

Stopped by on a Saturday early afternoon. It wasn't busy and there were plenty of tables available. You order at the counter and then they bring your food out to you. The service was very friendly. They gave us plenty of time to check out the menu without any pressure we ordered the spicy tonkotsu and spicy flamingo. The ramen was so filling we had to take the roll to go!

One of my favorite vegan restaurants in Denver. I've been buying Wellness Sushi ever since the days when they were just grab-n-go at Nooch. Then they opened a cute little hole-in-the-wall restaurant on Colfax. I don't go there as often as I should! But I'm always craving it, so we went there today for a birthday lunch. We ordered two rolls we've never tried: "Love in the Edo" and "Ebi Tempura" along with a bowl of "W's Tonkotsu" ramen. I've never had a creamy ramen before--I've been missing out. The ramen was soooo good! It even rivals the vegan ramen I had at Uncle. And of course the sushi was impeccable. I'm glad I branched out from the Krunchy Krab roll and tried some new things. Next time I'll try some aburi oshi...

I googled random sushi places in the area prior to visiting the museum and found this. I didn't realize it was a vegan sushi place until we arrived. It was very interesting. We ordered the Tokyo drift roll, sea breeze onigiri, and shitake mushroom stuffed tofu at the kiosk machine and input a table number, then tray was delivered to us. Everything was good, the shitake mushroom stuffed tofu was my favorite, tasted like one of my mom's dish. Although this is a "fast food" vibe; the food was healthy and gave us the satisfaction of not being bloated afterwards. Definitely recommends to everyone!

Are there options for someone with celiac disease? Is the tempora, soy sauce, imitation crab, etc. gluten-free?

Yes the GF ones are marked

I have a peanut and treenut allergy. Besides the items that explicitly say they have peanut butter, are there any other items that contain peanuts or treenuts in them?

    Why are they closed?

Their Instagram page shows open but in a temporary space 1120 Yosemite st, aurora

Do they have anything that's gluten free?

That should be an easy answer because they are rice based dishes, but the soy sauce makes for the challenge.... I do recall a variety of soy sauces at the location, and our entire meal was fresh so I would bet they can make gluten-free dishes.

The menu leans classic izakaya--small plates meant for sharing--but everything comes out with care and confidence. Skewers are grilled properly, not rushed, with just enough char to matter. Even the simpler dishes feel deliberate, which isn't always the case with izakaya-style menus. The atmosphere hits a nice balance: lively without being chaotic, cozy without feeling cramped. It works just as well for a casual dinner as it does for lingering over drinks. Speaking of drinks, the sake and Japanese whiskey selection is thoughtful and well-paired to the food. Tatsu doesn't try to reinvent Japanese cuisine--it just executes it well.

We ordered way to much food but I do not regret that because I got to try so many amazing dishes. Despite ordering so many options they even brought us a chilled tofu dish complimentary (no clue why but not complaining) and it was lovely! We shared the uncle salad (amazing!), thai shrimp, eggplant buns, several different nigiri/aburi nigiri and sashimi and the toro toro and spicy tuna roll. All of the sushi was fresh and had excellent pairing of accompaniments. The only dish that I remember being a miss was the soft shell crab buns. The proportion of bun to interior was off and there was way too much mayo. Everyone got their own ramen which they seemed to love. I ordered the Veggie Khao Soi per our servers recommendation and I am still thinking about it weeks later. It was a curry/ramen mix and had big chunks of trumpet mushrooms in it and the perfect amount of spice that I love. What a cute little place!!…read more It was late in the evening and I was getting hangry. I was craving ramen and Neko came up during my Yelp research. They were open late, so we decided to go. The restaurant was popping at 22:00 on a Friday. We were greeted warmly by staff. It was intriguing to us that we ordered via an iPad kiosk as if we were at a boba place, but we didn't mind. However, usually only to go orders are placed on a kiosk. In my hangry state of mind, I had not realized that Neko only serves their ramen with chicken broth, so for those of you who prefer tonkotsu broth, this isn't the place for you. For that reason, my husband had to order a chashu rice bowl instead. Personally, I enjoy both paitan and tonkotsu. I went with the black garlic ramen. It didn't take very long for our food to arrive. While we waited, we dispensed water for ourselves from the soda fountain. I was a little confused upon receiving my black garlic ramen, as I thought the black garlic oil would be more prominent. I was assured that I had the right bowl. My husband enjoyed his chashu rice bowl. I had a small bite and the pork was tender and well-seasoned. The paitan broth was very umami indeed. I would have liked to have more of a black garlic flavor, but it was still good. Next time I would just pay the extra $2 for more black garlic oil. The noodles were bouncy, and the chashu was tender. The egg was deliciously jammy (alas no photo because I devoured it). I saw they had soy sauce and hot sauce, but wish they had the classic chili powder so I could have added some to my ramen. Neko Ramen & Rice hit for late night noms, and the cat-themed decor all around (since Neko means cat in Japanese) was such a vibe. They also serve curry, poke, and various small bites if you want some apps to enjoy before your entrees. If you don't mind chicken broth for your ramen or will be ordering rice bowls instead, Neko is a fun little place to come dine at, especially since they open late.
