I stumbled upon this place after arriving from the airport and searched for the nearest vegan restaurant and Vegan Van came up. By the name I thought it was a food truck, but it was a shared building with a pick up/order window. The young lass at the window took my order and was friendly and helpful with my questions and even gave me some sauces to sample for my chicken sandwich which I ordered which came with a side of fries. (for a little extra you have the option to upgrade to tater tots if you wanted.) I also ordered the potato taco which came with cheese that looked like real shredded cheese. When I asked, she said the cheese was vegan cheese which was a relief to me. The chicken sandwich was amazing and scrumptious. There was cabbage and pieces of vegan chicken with amazing ranch-like sauce that tasted so good. With the fries it added more. The potato taco was very good which reminds me of the spicy potato soft taco in Taco Bell. I really enjoyed the food and there was a small place to next to the pickup window where people could lounge and eat. I would like to come here again and try or more options offered on the menu for sure. read more

Absolutely delicious. My niece had the Stevie chix and it was great. I tried the chicken friend steak and just wow, it was beyond delicious. I'm not vegan but my family is and I do enjoy trying vegan places. This is a 10 out of 10 for me. This place is more of a pick up and go food place. You can eat there and have a couple tables but most just pick up and go. The service was great and prompt. Recommend to anyone vegan or not. read more

They have recently moved into a smaller location with an ordering window for to go, but the service was still spot on and food was great as always. So, once I knew they were doing a pop-up on Saturdays currently at Queen City Coffee in Five Points, I knew I had to stop by. The food is always amazing, especially the ham egg and cheeze. The breakfast specials are great too. Last weekend I had the pancakes and berries. Amazing! Just like the diner pancakes of my childhood. The only suggestion I have is the seitan. Today's bbq plate was so delicious, but the seitan wings are way too sweet. It's almost like a dessert. They are known for their crunch wraps and Taco Bell themed menus but they frequently switch it up with a KFC chicken menu, burgers and corn dogs. I've never had anything bad to say about this place but my experience yesterday was the absolute worst. waited 45 mins for an order that was placed to eat at the vegan van and watched them prioritize all of the to go orders. Once the to go orders were out of the way I went to check on my order since my buzzer hadn't gone off and my food was just sitting on the counter. It wasn't hot. The woman that helped us apologized and explained that we were caught in the middle of a big rush but I think time management goes a long way along with awareness of the customers that are sitting right in front of you. I used to come here a few times a month with friends and really enjoyed the food over the years but it seems like something is off since moving to the assembly student center. I've been trying to find places that I can eat besides just juicing and eating vegetables and fruits because I do miss some of the old items that I used to eat. They open at 11 except they didn't open till 11:45 and did not apologize once. We've been in line now for an hour and there are still 25+ people ahead of us. The girl taking orders feels the need to have these irrelevant small-talk conversations with every single person so she's averaging taking an order every 10-12 minutes as we're timing it. Since we've been here half of the line has actually left- that is half of your customers. There has still been no apology made by any of the staff. The order taker has no remorse whatsoever and could care less that there are people waiting for over an hour because of her.
