My parents brought me here on my last visit to Denver and I thought their food was incredible. I had the Birria tacos, chips and guac and a margarita. All of the food and drinks were reasonably priced. The tacos, especially, were fantastic. The birria had so much flavor and tasted so authentic. I highly recommend Kike's!
Kike's was aiighttt... I'd heard a lot of hype but it just didn't deliver for me. The beef tacos were juicy but lacked flavor. The al pastor was dry and chewy... a real letdown. The horchata, though? Genuinely great. I actually also really liked the elote but my partner didn't. The consomé was fine, nothing memorable. It's a decent enough spot to swing by, but I'm not going out of my way to come back tbh.
This spot certainly lives up to the hype! It was really crowded but we were able to find a table before our food came out. The margarita and spiked horchata were so good. While at the bar many people were talking about how well made and flavorful their cocktails were! The queso was delicious and the perfect consistency. I loved my birria tacos and ramen - however it was a LOT of food! The meat is so tender and flavorful. The ramen noodles are perfect and will be great leftovers! We had great service and they are really quick at flipping tables. Highly recommend!
These tacos are so good - so much flavor with the consome and that perfect little crunch on the taco. Got a marg trio with hibiscus, peach and mango - peach was easily the front runner! I'm usually a guacamole girl but the queso and salsa on the dip trio were def better than the guacamole. My husband got the burrito and it was MASSIVE. The salsa bar they have is such a fun touch - don't sleep on the pineapple. It's a relatively small place and while we were there got to the point where there were no tables left - wouldn't want to come with our kids or a big group
First time visiting and I was impressed with the service and how clean the restaurant was. I tried a few different tacos, and the carne asada was definitely my favorite. The meat was a little on the dry side across the board, but the flavor was still solid and these are clearly authentic tacos. You can tell they're doing things the traditional way. Looking forward to coming back and trying more of the menu
A good local taco spot in LoHi. I had 3 tacos, I tried the chicken and beef tacos, and the queso taco with chicken. I thought they were ok, the meat was on the drier side. Flavor was good and taco size was decent. I thought the queso taco was much better than the others, and would definitely get that when I come back. I didn't think the inside was super clean, but it was also packed when I went (1:30pm on a Saturday) and every table was full and people were waiting for seats. Overall I thought it was decent but left a little disappointed considering how good the reviews were. I think it's worth trying and would return but wouldn't go out of my way to do so.
Stopped by as we are visiting from out of town and saw videos of this place on TikTok. It was 3/5 overall. Chips and salsa were good. The salsa seemed to have a good kick to it, and had flavor to it. Birria burrito was mediocre. While good, and we finished it - it didn't blow me out of the water. I did the 4 birria queso tacos with consommé - I should have tried another protein, but it didn't not live up to the hype. I felt like it was half-thought completed. Lacked flavor all around. My youngest kid got a cheese quesadilla and that was great. Big portion. My oldest got an asada taco and that seemed to satisfy him. Churros were slightly too crunchy, but good.
Tacos were crunchy, and the sauces provided were super fresh. The spice level has a nice kick and you can clearly taste the smokiness to the roasted red salsa. I would recommend getting the birria here. It's very tender and the consume was perfect. Not too salty , not bland. Had perfect good flavor. I didn't care for the Al Pastor, it was crunchy but a bit dry. The birria and consume made up for it.
Kike's was pretty good. It's counter serice and its about the same price as Chipotle and about a million times better. The service was quick and the food was delicious. It also had a nice bar area with tv's to watch the Nuggets game. I had the Birria, Asada, and Carnitas taco. The shells for the taco were the perfect level of crispy. My only complaint is I like birria tacos with cheese on them. The salsa bar was a nice touch and my favorite salsa was the pineapple salsa. My wife also has the Birria Ramen which I thought was the best thing we had. It's broth was spicy and delicious and the meat was very tender.
Great vibe and cool place to have lunch or drinks and bites! We went for the classic trio: al pastor tacos , carne asada burrito, and birria tacos, and they delivered. The al pastor was juicy and well-marinated. Tortillas were soft and warm. Carne asada burrito was tender and nicely grilled with good smoky flavor with a nice spicy kick. The birria with spiced consomé with tender, fall-apart beef that shredded beautifully. Dipping the taco in the consomé took it to another level. Corn tortillas were dipped/fried just right so they didn't fall apart mid-bite. My only critique: the consomé could have been a hair spicier or more intensely seasoned. Overall, fresh ingredients, generous portions, and the sides of salsa and lime were fresh too. Definitely worth the stop, and I'll be back to try more.
Went here with my husband and toddler and everyone enjoyed! We got their cali burrito with birria and their quesadillas with birria con chive (goat). You order at the counter and then sit down and they bring the food to you. It was busy but we got a seat within a few minutes. They have high chairs but only 2 which were in use so they could probably do with a few more. I enjoyed their self serve salsa bar which had 6 different salsa, roasted jalapeños, cucumbers and radishes. The quesadilla with Birria con chive was delicious and my husband enjoyed his Cali burrito. There's a small parking lot, an overflow parking lot and street parking

I tried the horchata and the jamaica; Both were delicious! The part I didn't like so much was it took awhile to get our food and it was packed! There were 3 of us sitting at a tiny table outside because there was no other seating available. The tacos were good. I tried the chicken and the carne asada tacos. The chicken tacos were a little dry, but much better with some lime and salsa added then dipped in the consommé. The carne asada tacos were much better than the chicken tacos.
I'm not usually into "fusion ramen," but the birria ramen here was fantastic! The broth was rich and had a tangy, bright Mexican vibe--you don't really need to add salsa! The meat was super tender and the whole thing, noodles included, was so addicting. I rarely finish a bowl of ramen and this one I nearly drank! The vibe was a tad noisy, upbeat and celebratory, I'd say this place is best for a casual group or hang with friends.
I had heard about this place. I just moved in a few minutes away and decided to come try it at lunch-- I'm so glad I did. It's absolutely authentic, but with an elevated menu that really delivers. We got the chip trio, but you almost wouldn't need it since they have a full salsa bar, including endless pico de gallo and sour cream. But the chips are thick and crunchy and delicious. I tried the taco de birria de chivo (goat) and was truly blown away. The meat is so tender and seasoned so well, you can taste the allspice in it, which is perfect for goat, and so unique to Mexican food. I also tried the al Pastor and the Carne Asada, both were also to die for. I love how they make the taco have a little bottom and give it three sides, to help us fit all the generous portion that they give. They also have several different Agua Fresca's, that you serve yourself and get unlimited refills, including Horchata. It's amazing. I've already come back another time since. read more

WHAT TO ORDER | Kiki's Red Tacos This one was a HIT. We're already planning our next trip back. Here's what we ordered: Birria & Cheese Tacos + Consommé -- The must-order. Crispy, cheesy, packed with birria and even better dipped in that consommé. Trio Dip -- Perfect for the table and a great way to start. Carnitas Quesadilla -- Crispy, cheesy and absolutely delicious. Spicy Margarita -- Because tacos + a spicy marg just make sense. And the ultimate review? Kid approved. My kids were literally drinking the consommé straight from the container. Kike's Red Tacos changed my life. Before this place, I was a normal person. After my first queso taco dipped into that rich, glorious consomé, I became someone who casually considers flying to Denver "for lunch." I started going when they were still operating out of their food truck, and honestly, watching them grow into a permanent restaurant feels like seeing your favorite underground band finally make it big... except instead of music, they're dropping cheesy taco masterpieces. The queso tacos are absolutely ridiculous in the best possible way: crispy, cheesy, messy, and worth ruining at least one shirt over. And the consome? That stuff could heal emotional damage. It's rich, comforting, and somehow makes you immediately want "just one more taco" even when you're already full. Every time I'm in Denver, this place is mandatory. Not optional. Not "if there's time." Mandatory. My vacation itinerary basically starts with flights and ends with tacos. So happy to see Kike's getting the recognition they deserve. If you haven't been yet, prepare to have your standards permanently ruined for all other tacos. read more

Kike's Tacos is an absolute gem! The combo options are fantastic and offer great value for your money. I love how affordable it is, but you definitely get your money's worth in terms of taste and quality. One thing I'd love to see is the ability to choose more than 2 proteins for the combo, but that's a small thing compared to how much I enjoy the food. Speaking of which, this place is super photo-worthy -- the tacos are as beautiful as they are delicious. Seriously, the flavors are on point! The consommé is a standout for me--so rich and flavorful, I could sip on it all day. They also have a clean and well-stocked sauce bar with a variety of options to customize your tacos just the way you like them. Can't recommend this place enough if you're looking for both great food and a vibe that's perfect for your feed. Highly recommend! read more
We tried the birria, the asada, and the carnitas tacos, which all came in the same standard crispy shell and with onions and cilantro, street taco style. The meat was well seasoned but all tasted similar- you can't go wrong and the proteins all cost the same. We also tried the birria ramen, which was great. My favorite part of the meal, hands down. I was sad the birria taco didn't have the melted cheese outer shell, and you have to order the consume separately. There is a salsa bar, which had some great options but I preferred the pineapple salsa. It's a counter service restaurant, which was a little confusing at first, but everyone was friendly and quick. The interior is nice and modern with some fun touches, including a window with bottles of Jarritos that the sun shines through in the afternoon. Overall, a great restaurant for some good tacos or the birria ramen if you want something different. read more

Heard that this was the favorite taco spot of an acquaintance so we went and tried it out! My advice would be to stick with the regular birria taco for taste, but if you're feeling adventurous, try the goat birria! The collective opinion at my table was that we'd prefer the regular birria but were glad that we tried it! Birria ramen was yummy. The leftovers of this was decently thick. Loveddddd the waffle fries for my street fries! My order came with both steak fries and waffle fries. This was the first time that I had seen waffle fries used as the base and I loved it! They were more seasoned and crispy than the regular steak fries and the pairing with guac, steak, pico (that I added from the bar) was delicious. The churros tasted okay - the Nutella side was awesome, but the churros themselves weren't particularly crispy or hot. It was a nice dessert to end the meal. Service was a little slow on a weekday night, but they were busy and the vibes were lively. Besides being hungry, I didn't mind too much. Overall, a solid taco spot if you're in the area! Would come back to try the regular birrias and other things on their menu! read more

Stopped by Kike's Red Tacos and everything we ordered was delicious. We got the Street Fries and wow... they were loaded, flavorful, and honestly some of the best I've had. The carne was well-seasoned, the cheese and crema were perfect, and the guacamole tied everything together. I also had a taco de asada and it was super tender with great flavor. The red tortilla adds a nice touch and makes it stand out. The Cali Burrito de Res was huge, packed with meat, papas, cheese, and crema -- every bite was amazing and very filling. The ambience was fun, upbeat, and the whole place has a great vibe. And the customer service was amazing -- super friendly, fast, and welcoming. Great food, great portions, great experience. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to! read more

I've wanted to try this place forever but live about 30 mins away. It was absolutely delicious. The parking is a bit tight and the spots in front are 15 mins only so I got it to go. I loved the queso tacos (got Al pastor and Birria). The Al pastor was my favorite. The salsa bar is amazing -- really liked the bright green one and bright red. The red definitely had a kick!! I was impressed! I also got a carne asada burrito and that was also great -- perfect mix of rice beans cheese and meat. The service was great and the cashier was very kind. I got Kiké's for carry out for the first time and overall it was pretty stellar. I tried the dip trio and the asada and chicken tacos with side of consume. Flavors were all spot on, the dips were all excellent. My only complaint is about pick up timing. It told me 20-25 minutes and I decided I would get there right at 20 minutes. Well my order was ready 10 minutes early so unfortunately it sat until I was there and the tacos were kinda cold and the shells had hardened up. I imagine it's amazing fresh/ eating it there but hopefully they can manage the wait times a little better. I understand you take a risk on carry out and it being fresh but the restaurant has to do their part in helping with timing as well. I definitely will visit again and want to try the ramen and burritos next! read more
I did enjoy my tacos here, they didn't necessarily blow my mind or anything but they were flavorful and tasty enough. I don't remember the consommé dip enhancing the experience for me either. Kikes does have a nice bar area as well even though I didn't try drinks there. A pretty nice spot to be in a neighborhood. If you're in the area check it out. read more

This place was very interesting. We went on a Saturday evening and when we arrived around 7 the place was packed full - no tables were available and there was quite a line. We waited about 10 mins and then ordered, and there was another 20-25 min wait (given the place was packed!). I ordered the combo of birria ramen with 2 tacos since I wanted to try both. The ramen is REALLY rich - it's covered in cheese! I honestly was full even after that from all the fat but I had to try the tacos. I got the asada and the nopales (cactus) tacos, and they were both really lovely - and this is coming from someone that lives in Texas where we are surrounded by taco options. The vibe inside is whatever, it's like a standard slightly-higher-than-fast-food vibe (eg like torchy's). Overall despite the wait I think this place did a great job getting food made as fast as possible and the food is really good, it's premium comfort food. Just be mindful it can be a LOT if you get multiple tacos plus other things on the menu! read more

Do they close at 8pm everyday?
Everyday they're open, yes (closed on Mondays). But they always sell out before 8. I recommend following them on IG and checking their stories for the "sold out" updates they always post.
