    Birria tacos + birria ramen
    Savanna R.

This spot certainly lives up to the hype! It was really crowded but we were able to find a table before our food came out. The margarita and spiked horchata were so good. While at the bar many people were talking about how well made and flavorful their cocktails were! The queso was delicious and the perfect consistency. I loved my birria tacos and ramen - however it was a LOT of food! The meat is so tender and flavorful. The ramen noodles are perfect and will be great leftovers! We had great service and they are really quick at flipping tables. Highly recommend!

These tacos are so good - so much flavor with the consome and that perfect little crunch on the taco. Got a marg trio with hibiscus, peach and mango - peach was easily the front runner! I'm usually a guacamole girl but the queso and salsa on the dip trio were def better than the guacamole. My husband got the burrito and it was MASSIVE. The salsa bar they have is such a fun touch - don't sleep on the pineapple. It's a relatively small place and while we were there got to the point where there were no tables left - wouldn't want to come with our kids or a big group

Kike's was pretty good. It's counter serice and its about the same price as Chipotle and about a million times better. The service was quick and the food was delicious. It also had a nice bar area with tv's to watch the Nuggets game. I had the Birria, Asada, and Carnitas taco. The shells for the taco were the perfect level of crispy. My only complaint is I like birria tacos with cheese on them. The salsa bar was a nice touch and my favorite salsa was the pineapple salsa. My wife also has the Birria Ramen which I thought was the best thing we had. It's broth was spicy and delicious and the meat was very tender.

A good local taco spot in LoHi. I had 3 tacos, I tried the chicken and beef tacos, and the queso taco with chicken. I thought they were ok, the meat was on the drier side. Flavor was good and taco size was decent. I thought the queso taco was much better than the others, and would definitely get that when I come back. I didn't think the inside was super clean, but it was also packed when I went (1:30pm on a Saturday) and every table was full and people were waiting for seats. Overall I thought it was decent but left a little disappointed considering how good the reviews were. I think it's worth trying and would return but wouldn't go out of my way to do so.

Stopped by as we are visiting from out of town and saw videos of this place on TikTok. It was 3/5 overall. Chips and salsa were good. The salsa seemed to have a good kick to it, and had flavor to it. Birria burrito was mediocre. While good, and we finished it - it didn't blow me out of the water. I did the 4 birria queso tacos with consommé - I should have tried another protein, but it didn't not live up to the hype. I felt like it was half-thought completed. Lacked flavor all around. My youngest kid got a cheese quesadilla and that was great. Big portion. My oldest got an asada taco and that seemed to satisfy him. Churros were slightly too crunchy, but good.

Tacos were crunchy, and the sauces provided were super fresh. The spice level has a nice kick and you can clearly taste the smokiness to the roasted red salsa. I would recommend getting the birria here. It's very tender and the consume was perfect. Not too salty , not bland. Had perfect good flavor. I didn't care for the Al Pastor, it was crunchy but a bit dry. The birria and consume made up for it.

Great vibe and cool place to have lunch or drinks and bites! We went for the classic trio: al pastor tacos , carne asada burrito, and birria tacos, and they delivered. The al pastor was juicy and well-marinated. Tortillas were soft and warm. Carne asada burrito was tender and nicely grilled with good smoky flavor with a nice spicy kick. The birria with spiced consomé with tender, fall-apart beef that shredded beautifully. Dipping the taco in the consomé took it to another level. Corn tortillas were dipped/fried just right so they didn't fall apart mid-bite. My only critique: the consomé could have been a hair spicier or more intensely seasoned. Overall, fresh ingredients, generous portions, and the sides of salsa and lime were fresh too. Definitely worth the stop, and I'll be back to try more.

Went here with my husband and toddler and everyone enjoyed! We got their cali burrito with birria and their quesadillas with birria con chive (goat). You order at the counter and then sit down and they bring the food to you. It was busy but we got a seat within a few minutes. They have high chairs but only 2 which were in use so they could probably do with a few more. I enjoyed their self serve salsa bar which had 6 different salsa, roasted jalapeños, cucumbers and radishes. The quesadilla with Birria con chive was delicious and my husband enjoyed his Cali burrito. There's a small parking lot, an overflow parking lot and street parking

We tried the birria, the asada, and the carnitas tacos, which all came in the same standard crispy shell and with onions and cilantro, street taco style. The meat was well seasoned but all tasted similar- you can't go wrong and the proteins all cost the same. We also tried the birria ramen, which was great. My favorite part of the meal, hands down. I was sad the birria taco didn't have the melted cheese outer shell, and you have to order the consume separately. There is a salsa bar, which had some great options but I preferred the pineapple salsa. It's a counter service restaurant, which was a little confusing at first, but everyone was friendly and quick. The interior is nice and modern with some fun touches, including a window with bottles of Jarritos that the sun shines through in the afternoon. Overall, a great restaurant for some good tacos or the birria ramen if you want something different.

3 Al Pastor Tacos and 1 steak Taco

The food at Kikes Red Tacos is outstanding and we are regulars and have been eating at this place for quite a while. It is a busy restaurant and one needs to be patient and not in a hurry sometimes we wait 20-30 minutes to get the food since they have a huge amount of pick up orders and patrons coming in to eat. It is a 10 out of 10 for us and we love it. The ambience is very nice ! We feel at home. The Al Pastor Tacos are the best in town but also the Steak Tacos are equally top notch.

Food 5 stars. Super fresh, tender birria quesadilla. Corn was good but meat and salsa bar was winner. Took 30 minutes for five in or take out but was well worth it.

Craving tacos so stopped by to try this place out and it was overall a good experience. They have a couple salsa bars, aguas frescas (horchata, piña, and jamaica). I tried the horchata and the jamaica; Both were delicious! The part I didn't like so much was it took awhile to get our food and it was packed! There were 3 of us sitting at a tiny table outside because there was no other seating available. The tacos were good. I tried the chicken and the carne asada tacos. The chicken tacos were a little dry, but much better with some lime and salsa added then dipped in the consommé. The carne asada tacos were much better than the chicken tacos.

Kike's Tacos is an absolute gem! The combo options are fantastic and offer great value for your money. I love how affordable it is, but you definitely get your money's worth in terms of taste and quality. One thing I'd love to see is the ability to choose more than 2 proteins for the combo, but that's a small thing compared to how much I enjoy the food. Speaking of which, this place is super photo-worthy -- the tacos are as beautiful as they are delicious. Seriously, the flavors are on point! The consommé is a standout for me--so rich and flavorful, I could sip on it all day. They also have a clean and well-stocked sauce bar with a variety of options to customize your tacos just the way you like them. Can't recommend this place enough if you're looking for both great food and a vibe that's perfect for your feed. Highly recommend!

Ask the Community - Kikés Red Tacos

Are dogs allowed on the patio at the new brick and mortar location?

Sorry, I was on my lunch break, and didn't notice any there at that time.

    Do they take credit cards?

    Yes!

Do they close at 8pm everyday?

Everyday they're open, yes (closed on Mondays). But they always sell out before 8. I recommend following them on IG and checking their stories for the "sold out" updates they always post.

I…read morefinally managed to get a reservation (booked exactly 60 days in advance when they opened), and it was absolutely worth the wait. Having that much time before our reservation also meant I got to thoroughly research the menu, which definitely paid off. The restaurant itself is beautiful. It's small, intimate, and has a modern aesthetic. There isn't a ton of seating, but that's part of the charm. There's patio seating along the railing outside, bar seating where you can watch the chefs work their magic in the open kitchen, and just a handful of tables inside. Parking is street parking in the surrounding neighborhood, and from what it looked like, most of it is paid. It was just me and a friend, and we shared four dishes, which ended up being the perfect amount of food. We started with the Callo de Hacha al Horno, and these were hands down the best scallops I've ever had. The presentation alone was gorgeous, with the scallops served in their shell, but the flavor completely stole the show. I'm a huge seafood fan, and this dish absolutely delivered. My friend isn't even much of a seafood person, and it was his first time trying scallops and he loved them too. I joked that he may have ruined scallops for himself because it's hard to imagine finding a better version. Next, we each ordered a Taco Campechano, and wow. This was either the best or second-best taco I've ever had. The taco features two different meats with a green salsa on one half and a red salsa on the other, making every bite a little different. Both sides were fantastic, but the green salsa was next level. At around $11, this feels like one of the best values on the menu and is an absolute must-order. Our third dish was the Birria de Borrego, and it was incredible. The lamb shank was so tender that the bone slid right out with almost no effort. It comes with beans, salsa, and house-made blue corn tortillas so you can build your own tacos. Speaking of the tortillas--they deserve their own praise. They were phenomenal, and we honestly joked about asking for an order to take home. Our final dish was the Camote Asado, which I'd seen recommended all over the internet. Maybe I built it up too much in my head because it ended up being the only dish that didn't blow me away. Don't get me wrong, it was still very good. The sweet potato was perfectly cooked, and the fennel whipped requesón was delicious. My only heads-up for future diners is that some bites pack a surprising amount of heat, so if you're sensitive to spice, keep that in mind. I enjoy spicy food, but it's worth mentioning for those who don't! The service was excellent as well. They take your entire order at the beginning of the meal and then thoughtfully pace each course, which made the whole dining experience feel relaxed and intentional. One thing that really surprised me was the value. For a Michelin-starred restaurant, this was incredibly affordable. We ordered four courses between the two of us, and even after tip, our total was only around $120 (we didn't order cocktails). That's an exceptional value for the quality of food and overall experience! Overall, Alma Fonda Fina completely lived up to the hype. Between the incredible execution, creative flavors, intimate atmosphere, and surprisingly reasonable pricing, this has quickly become one of my all-time favorite restaurants. It's easy to see why reservations are so hard to get, and I'll absolutely be back. Next time, I'm hoping to grab a seat at the chef's counter to watch the team in action while working my way through even more of the menu.

The sweet potato still my favorite dish, but I hand to day the queso funfido from the happy hour menu was a close 2nd. If you go 2-5pm, I can't recommend this enough. You have to get it. Same as my 1st time going, I love this restaurant for their great dishes and flavor profiles. I absolutely feel like I'm paying for the food, and not any atmosphere or showsmenship, which for me is an important factor when recommending a restaurant. Only small detail, we got the ceviche as our 4th dish. Given that is sweet due to the coconut milk, I feel this should have been last as a kind-of desert-like dish. Either way, still an absolute gem and must in town
