Place looks pretty bare on the outside, however, the food inside is amazing. We ordered a bunch of breakfast burritos (asada, chorizo and a dairy free burrito). Service was great and quick. I have done my fair share of traveling and eating at different restaurants with carne asada tacos. This is by far the best tacos I have ever had. My food also came with the most bomb tortilla chips! They are nice and thick, have the perfect salt, and just the right amount of crisp! I would absolutely recommend this place! The employees were incredible friendly and kind! Love the food and the staff at our local taco place!! My husband, now our teenage daughter too, has gotten tacos (usually El Pastor or Al Carbon) every Sunday for years now. I love a good smothered burrito, and their green chile does not disappoint (also love that it comes in varying temperatures: mild, medium, and hot for when I bring my non-loving hot friends). Must also mention that the restaurant still donates to the local High School (North High School) that the owner's kids attended long after their kids graduated. 5 stars for the Quesabirria tacos which are not on the menu. You MUST GET THESE. There's 5 in an order and they're around $14. They're amazing. Juicy, flavorful, cheesy. Just perfect. This was on the way to our destination and we were hungry! We asked our waitress what she liked and she mentioned if we wanted tacos she liked the asada and carnitas. We asked about the birria (lamb) and she thought we meant tacos, which we were lucky she did because she told us about the queso-birria tacos, which you will see pictured . There are 5 to an order with melted cheese on top and it comes with soup and a vinegary salsa, limes, onion and cilantro. It was plenty for the two of us.. I'm glad we said we would start with one order and then order more.. we didn't need to.. It isn't on the menu, so lucky for you I'm giving you the scoop. We discovered this small restaurant is a short walk from our house a few weeks after we moved in and have been coming regularly ever since. Whenever we don't feel like cooking but don't know what takeout we want, this is our default spot. Between the authenticity of the Mexican food and reasonable prices you can't go wrong. The asada tacos are our absolute favorite, and then we either get the chicken, carne molida, or barbacoa tacos in addition. During one of our visits my boyfriend decided to try the chicken quesadilla supreme and now that has become a part of his regular order ever since. I'm a denver native and the quality of this Mexican food matches that of restaurants that charge at least twice as much. The prices are very reasonable and there are many full meal options for less than $10! Above everything though, the service is beyond great. Full disclosure, I am a trans woman and every time i come here i am greeted with genuine smiles and no employee has made me feel any less than welcome and glad that I am there. I've been coming here since I was 11 , almost 20 years now and it's been great but the last two times were awful I got menudo this past Sunday and the tripe pieces were all different sizes from super small to , too big to fit in your mouth, bigger pieces weren't cooked all the way very hard and inedible , gave it another try and ordered chili rellanos and it was cold in the middle although being fried very sad because I used to swear by this restaurant having good food , service is amazing everyone's real nice , however I won't be going back for a long time read more

Just had the best experience here. Very cute cafe style atmosphere. Food was great. And got served by the nicest lady.

I don't know what it is, but I am on a diet, and when I ask for a burrito with no tortilla and no cheese, I get the strangest looks. And then, because it is a special kind of order, the servers become rude. What is so hard about just chicken, rice, and the chile? I'm the one eating it! They make me feel like a gringo. We switch this establishment to be the 2nd stop instead being the 3rd due to the location etc etc. Our server that afternoon her name is Erika. She is kind enough to prepare the table for us, right after we came in to this establishment. Everyone, each was given the Menu. She also provide us, chips and salsa for everyone while waiting to order and waiting for our food to be ready. We are indeed the largest group dining in at that hour while we were there. There is a washroom located inside this establishment. This establishment was kept clean while we were there. When I ask our server what kind of Higago is, she said it was PORK Liver. *Sad Face Abit* Coz I would love to try a Beef Liver Taco in the future... Most of the Yelpers also had beers during this visit. Each Tacos was $1.49. I opt for Taco Lengua and Taco Asada since they do not offer Tripa in their menu. Our server also provide 3 additional different salsas. I like the Salsa best for this eatery coz its SPICY for my personal taste bud. This time around, I think I like the Taco Asada better than my order of Taco Lengua. The flavors of the Asada was indeed better than the Lengua. Portion is reasonable but the amount of meat was the norm than order Tacos I had before. All in all, I like what I ate and do not mind returning with Hubs in the future when needed. I called to make sure they had done in (bc 'rona) and the lady on the phone was very hospitable and set us up a large table. I got a car a asada smothered burrito surpreme and the meat had great flavor. The smothered green chile took this burrito to the next level. Great size with great prices. My husband got shredded chicken enchiladas with green sauce. Also very good. Too salty for my taste buds but for my husband it was perfect. And let's not forget about the chips and salsa for the table. Yum. The salsa was nothing to write home about but it was definitely one that you would go back for. Typical and well made tomato based salsa. Not not spicy and not too spicy. Just right. My 1 year old ate it too without being overwhelmed by heat. Have been exploring many Mexican restaurants in the area looking for great authentic Mexican food and this place impressed me! The enchiladas and the rice were freshly made and tasty. We asked the waitress (Ely) for some hot salsa and she brought out 3 different ones and told me to try them. Also mentioned she had something up her sleeve if the 3 weren't spicy enough... I ended up trying her secret salsa that she made up herself and it was spicy but delicious!
