    The bar and our drinks

We were lost looking for another roof top bar, so we came here to ask about it and decided to stay. The drinks are cheap during happy hour and it's with the nicer alcohol (Hendricks). We also got to play pool for free and keep ourselves warm here so it was nice!

Go here immediately and order their house G&T, it is SO refreshing and even had elderflower. Ok, I don't really know what elderflower is, but I know I don't like gin and tonics and really liked this one. Their small plates are tasty! (What is that mushroom toast?! Delicious is what. It's on the menu as "champinones asados & ajos, goat cheese, fig sherry syrup"--yum. I love mushrooms and this was delicious.) The staff here are very friendly and nice (and helpful if you're feeling indecisive.) If you're feeling especially lazy, your seating has a little button to call staff (I didn't use it. Too much--like "sorry I was too lazy to get up." But it's available for you!) I can't wait to come here with co-workers for happy hour.

Adorable little gem we stumbled upon after we couldn't find any seating at 54thirty! Bar AC is a small cozy lounge/bar with cute and cozy seating next to a petite bar. It features Spanish wines and tapas in a relaxed but trendy ambience. We stopped by for a glass of wine and some tapas, and got some emails and other work done too! My favorite type of work/study environment. The white wines we tried were tasty, and the tomato and olive oil toast (thicker tomato topping than traditional pan con tomato found in Spain) with prosciutto was the perfect little snack. I'd definitely stop by again if I'm ever in the area! Parking: Limited street parking, hotel lots all around Happy hour: 4-6pm everyday with half off wine, beer, and cocktails!

Bar AC has daily happy hour from 4-6pm so that's a plus! All well drinks, wines and beers are 50% off. i had the Strawberry fields forever drink and it was SO GOOD. If you like very light and refreshing drinks, I recommend that! Also for a snack we had the fig, mushroom, goat cheese toast, I definitely recommend that also, it was delicious and only 8 dollars

Warm, alluring lighting during the night!

Don't miss out on this hidden gem!!!!! This has got to be one of the best meal deals for a wine bar-like menu you will EVER get! Happy hour is from 4-6pm, featuring a 50 percent discount on all drinks, which are already cheaper than average! For example, the full price of a glass of sangria is $8. On Tuesdays, it's 50 percent off of all tapas! The charcuterie plate is $12, but becomes $6 ONLY!!! Such a place easily goes for more than $20 in many other wine bars! It comes with 5 slices of salami, 2 cuts of prosciutto, and 4 cuts of cheese. You definitely get your bang for your buck. I really enjoyed their kale and arugula salad as well, for only $6 considering the high market value of those greens (only $3 on Tuesdays!!!!) There may not seem like a lot of seating, but they have plenty of extra space behind the bar. By day, it's a glistening, metropolitan bar and by night, it almost seems sultry with the soothing red lighting that permeates the place. It is quite a popular place for private events, so you may want to call ahead of time to check. For the times I have been there, the service was excellent. The one or two bartenders do their best to handle the food and drink orders, so be patient with them!

Cute little bar off of 15th and California. If you order a drink off their menu during happy hour it's 50% off. I was in the mood for a Manhattan so didn't partake in happy hour but my drinks were quite delicious nonetheless:-) I didn't eat anything this time around but the tapas sounded good, would definitely return, I enjoyed the atmosphere and the service and drinks were great.

Great staff and attention to customers despite being very busy. This is why I make a point of stopping in when I'm in town.

Other times I'm just in the mood for a cocktail that reminds me why I don't waste my time at places that think whiskey and cola is "craft." This visit was all about the cocktails, and Seven Grand absolutely delivered. Josh, our bartender, was running the room like a conductor leading an orchestra of happy whiskey drinkers. He asked what we liked, made a couple of recommendations for Old Fashioneds based on our preferences, and absolutely nailed it. Every drink was balanced, flavorful, and dangerously easy to sip. The guy knows his whiskey, knows his cocktails, and somehow still manages to make everyone at the bar feel like they're his only customer. The whiskey selection is enough to make a bourbon nerd lose all sense of financial responsibility, but surprisingly, we escaped without needing to refinance the house. If Josh doesn't own Seven Grand, someone should probably look into fixing that. Until then, I'll keep showing up to "try just one drink"... knowing full well that's a lie I tell myself every single time. Highly recommend. Just don't blame me when two hours mysteriously disappear.

The music is good, mostly. But you may need to hop around as it can change so much. So, wander around, you might get lost, but you'll find you way again! (or just ask! ha) Not as great, the drinks are SO weak. It's a little ridic. If I'm paying $15 or whatever for one shot and soda, please let me taste the alcohol? Like, come on! I can buy a bottle for that. Just let me taste it. Bartenders can be hit or miss. I've had some totally cool ones and some really strange ones that seem to have personality issues. Not as much lately, though, just overall in the times I've come here over a few years. Maybe the current bar manager (who introduces themselves as such when you walk in) has got it whipped more into shape. Can you just tell them to include booze in drinks?! Now the life of the party is lost like a chicken McNugget dropped in the ball pit of a McDonald's play place. What's left is a random collection of half-baked ideas by management with no understanding of a music scene whose ever-changing themes seem copied from the websites of clubs in Europe, or maybe, Alabama, who knows? Go upstairs and things are worse with a Janky wanna-be suburban gangsta DJ playing pre-recorded mixes from songs that were obviously ripped from YouTube, and shooting monopoly money from toy guns like an anamatronic rat at Chick E. Cheezy's. Anything that was truly edgy and cool has now been thrown out and replaced by pure neglect, promos slapped together by some AI they didn't even bother buying a subscription to--you know, the basic version which is completely on brand--reduced to a desperate cash grab. This is apparent as soon as you step over puddles of urine and walk in the door, and through the fake metal detector (and oh yeah, then over sand bags and puddles from sewer pipes that overflow because the owner is too cheap to invest in repairs or ensure customer safety), finally into a building that is in disrepair. Yeah, it's a vibe from a backwater dancehall in Khazakhstan but unintentionally, not so much as a place of entertainment. Almost everything, and I mean everything in the venue is old, outdated, or broken, from the ATM (you'd be crazy to trust that anyway) and arcade games, to the club rooms with broken, non-working club lights, and again pipes that drip and leak (you'll literally see buckets on the middle of the dance floor, and garbage bags draped over the DJ booths and the bar--and no, they don't sanitize after these accidents, evveeeer. The place is in disrepair and what used to be rooms with cool decor are now just generic and dirty looking as basic cleanliness is non-existent--the whole venue reeks the moment you walk in. Most worrisome is the lack of security (good luck finding anyone if you need help after you get past the door person) making the disorganized chaos feel unsafe and gross and anything but exciting. While Milk was once a cool and celebrated part of the Denver club scene up until a few years before the pandemic, the owner has obviously lost touch with reality and has no sense of loyalty to a clientele and commujity who made his clubs successful. But this has been a long time coming as Milk has been on the slow and steady decline for years. Over the last year the place has spiraled into a complete free fall with the last regular DJs pushed out and replaced by amateurs like the dude who needs a platform to stand on whose sets sound like a complication of greatest hits CDs played on random, with no theme or identity. The events and nights seem thrown together at the last minute, like you know splattered against the wall to see what will stick, but it's stinking instead. Its consistency, its soul, its relevance is gone. Most damning and reflective is the point several other reviewers have made about the vibe of sexism that exudes like the toxic masculinity that produces it from those who run this place as it's almost all male managers, DJs and bartenders, with a few women in the lowest, menial positions. And that obvious bias and grossness speaks volumes! My humble advice: save your night, your money, your self-respect and conscience choosing instead to support venues and spaces that actually know something about loyalty and principles other than greed and pettiness, which actually cares about and respects its patrons and customers.
