Giving this bar 3 stars as it was pretty standard. Got there and the bartender and barhand were very nice, but they didn't have the beer selection I was looking for so I just ordered food instead. Just about got ignored from that point on so I kept to my phone. Food looked awesome when it arrived. I ordered the flat bread and the fried duck confit. Looks can be deceiving as there was still a bone in my duck confit and the flatbread didn't seem cooked all the way. I didn't complain because I was starving and honestly, I've had worse. Unfortunately, the meal made my stomach hurt afterwards severely (nothing that an antire packet of tums couldn't remedy though). I asked for my check when I finally got someone's attention and they didn't give me a pen so I had to ask for that too. It was worth the try, but I won't be back as my first choice. read more

There are two bars in the lobby. If you need a little more privacy come to this one. The other one is open and doesn't offer you the little spot by the window or a little private nook. Although if you want to people watch then request to sit outside. It's facing 16th St. Across from you would be a Starbucks and a Crispy Creme. I sat here for almost four hours while waiting for my room to be ready. I was plied with drink vouchers and had more than I should of one of the best happy hour food and drinks. I was referring to the price and the quality. The staff was very nice and they even allowed a spray paint artist to come and do my face. Right there in the middle I was made to look like a bad ass dia de los muertes Gogo from Kill Bill! The talented mixologist here is the reason why I would stop by again. I know it's a hotel bar, but you know it's a great spot when you see the huge glass windows looking looking out to 16th Street mall. I'll admit it, it's one of my favorite spots on the mall. Sure it's lots of business people staying at the hotel, but I still like the classy atmosphere and and how close it puts you to the mall. Had the slow roasted beets salad. It is small, but very tasty. Beets are red and yellow variety. I'd have it again. read more

This is an awesome hotel bar. Whether you are in your fancy D&G or Under Armour like me because I had just gone hiking... you will like it. It is poshy, loungy, has these extremely comfortable bar stools, pretty people and your fair share of weirdos. Our bartender was great... she kept the drinks rolling. Ok, so I am bias because I know her... but, still she treated all her clients the same way - great service and smiles. Hungry? Try the calamari to snack on. The bathroom is approximately 85 steps through the reception area. You get a great view of 16th Street from your stool or table. There is also a courtyard in the front. I had a Lychee martini which wasn't bad. I also ordered the Big Eye Tuna Small Plate. SERIOUSLY A SMALL PLATE. The menu describes it as "smoke chili oil, cilantro, avocado and edamame, crisp wonton chips". My plate consisted of ONE wonton chip with less than a teaspoon of the other ingredients. Caught happy hour on the patio here during our stay downtown and I was not impressed. Two waitresses were helping us (party of 2) at once which made us feel pressured and intimidated. Neither could give us a good beer recommendation. And even with two of them, beers food and check all took FOREVER. We could see our beers sitting at the end of the bar for over 10 mins before one of them decided to bring them out to us. Our table was next to a fence that separated us from the smoking area of the hotel, completely defeating the rule of no smoking on the patio to begin with. We sat outside (before you think we're crazy, we're from TX and enjoyed the cooler weather!) & got to people watch as well. They had some great cocktails (a little pricey) but also some specials (a $4 margarita for Cinco de Mayo). It had a chic vibe and wasn't too loud like some bars down the road. My friend and I stopped in after 10p on a Thursday night in search of a decent Manhattan. We sat in two small chairs by the window and were promptly met by a friendly server who took our order. A few minutes later our drinks arrived. Not the best Manhattans, but not the worst either, and for $10 I felt it wasn't complete highway robbery. With that said, I really liked the space. What I didn't like? The music selection (80's hair band) and the patrons (loud, obnoxious hillbillies). I blame the patron issue on the bar being in the Sheraton, but there was no excuse for the music. I've been coming to this bar for quite sometime more than I wish to admit. This is a neat place and serves its purpose. On weekdays it's a relaxing place where you get a drink and take a break, and on weekends it's a little bit crowded and loud depending on the crowd. A pretty small venue with an oval shaped bar surrounded by huge glass windows which look out to the 16th Street Mall match the upscale cocktail lounge feel. I've been there about 5 or 6 times including some networking events. With 150 people capacity it can fill up quite quick- but most times its a great place for a cocktail or beer and some small-plate eats. Looks nice enough but don't eat breakfast here. The hotel restaurant was packed so this place has a breakfast buffet as well. There were no raisins or sugar for the oatmeal. The oatmeal was literally burnt and tasted the same. The eggs were so dry and overcooked and if you want toast good luck finding jelly or butter. It would have been great if someone asked if I wanted coffee or anything to drink. For 20 bucks forget it. Go to the corner bakery a block down and have a superior meal for half as much. read more

Went for drinks and dinner on Friday, and it was average. The drinks took a while to get to us, and the waitress was not the most attentive. The drinks were ok but a bit watery. The calamari was nicely fried, but it looked like a plate of onion rings - they were thick and not that many to an order. The margarita pizza was large enough for leftovers. I got the El Jefe burger with a black-bean patty. It was flavorful and well-made. Overall, the atmosphere was good and doesn't feel like a hotel lounge.
