I had an amazing visit to Denver, especially after visiting Oskar Blues Bar. It's in an amazing location near the train station and downtown. The ambiance is amazing & the vibes are just as grand. I enjoyed the service and amazing drinks. I can't wait to go again when they have a live show. Try their Jambalaya, it's spicy and delicious

Flew into Denver for a show and my son found this place on the AAdining website so we decided to try it out. Really cool atmosphere and plenty of seating. Good variety of beers and although the menu wasn't too extensive, lots of different options to try. My son ordered the pulled pork sandwich and he ranked it pretty high. I got the OB burger, and it was really good. It was well cooked and delicious. Our server was awesome and checked in on us frequently. Definitely a place worth checking out when in the downtown area.

Forgot to snap a pic before digging in. Really good burger.

Flew into Denver for a kings/avalanche game. My buddy found this place on Yelp and we decided to try it out. Really cool and chill atmosphere and lots of seating. Lots of beers and although the menu wasn't too extensive, lots of different things to try. My buddies got the pub nachos, pulled pork sandwich, and fish and chips. They all said the food was really good. I got the OB burger and it was really good. Although it had a lot of ingredients and was pretty messy, the bread was nice and firm and the burger held together well and didn't fall apart. Nice and well cooked patty and the jalapeño's gave it a little kick. Fries were extra crispy and had a good texture and were delicious. Our server Sierra was awesome and checked in on us numerous times. They weren't too busy, but I appreciate when restaurants don't rush you or give you the check as a hint that it's time to go. If you're ever in the downtown area, check this place out.

In our brews across the Midwest we stopped in at Oskar Blues. We lost our OB brewery in Austin, it was such a nice place to stop in so we had to look them up in Denver. It's a very chill place to have some great beers. We had a couple of their IPA's and as usual were not disappointed. We had the opportunity to speak with the manager Chase, he is as chill as the place. The service here was great, the atmosphere is the kind of place you want to frequent on a regular basis. Let's keep our breweries busy, don't want to lose these gems.

I had some time to kill downtown and thought I'd check out this place to learn about their blues music. "Blues" is after all part of their name. When you enter there is a staircase leading down to the music venue. It was roped off because this was 3:30 on a Wednesday. The bartender told me music is usually only on the weekends. She also told me that while blues was probably what they originally featured, it's now a mixture of entertainment with blues maybe being part of it. The place is definitely geared to large crowds. The main floor in front of the bar seats a lot of people. There are pool tables in a raised area in the back. And of course there's the basement where the music venue is.

Stayed at a hotel nearby, and I'd read the reviews in advance. Overall it was a brewpub, and the kind lady serving the bar was attentive and friendly. I am a fan of Dale's Pale Ale, which is the reason for my visit. Food: had the prime rib sandwich with sweet potato fries. The meat was juicy and the au jus was a nice complement. The fries were decent. Beer: As mentioned, I came here because of Dale's, and it was tapped out. Very disappointing. They offered in the can, but I can get that anywhere. Service: Welcoming staff, helpful server Ambiance: it was really calm, though it was a Monday night. There were couples having a beverage and friends playing pool. Overall I wanted to give 5 stars but the fact Dale's wasn't available on tap just burst the bubble for me

Since my time living out in Denver, Oskar Blues has always been one of my favorite breweries. It's hard to go wrong with their Dale's Pale Ale. When I realized that they now had a restaurant in Denver, it was time for my family to stop in for dinner one night while on spring break. Oskar Blues Grill & Brew is located just off the 16th Street Mall on Market Street, just a few blocks from Union Station. There was a good crowd when we arrived, but the spacious restaurant space allowed for a table to be had right away. Obviously, you will find Dale's Pale Ale on draft, but they also have a ton of other beers that aren't so common, especially out in Ohio. If barrel-aged Ten FIDY is there, be sure to give that a try! Other popular beers include Mama's Little Yella Pils and Old Chub. The restaurant also features a full bar and signature cocktails. For dinner, I had the spicy chicken sandwich which is tossed in honey sriracha, topped with coleslaw and pickled jalapenos on a brioche bun ($15 with fries and pickle slices). This was a really unique and good spicy chicken sandwich. It was pretty hot, so be sure you have plenty of Dale's Pale Ale to wash it down with! My wife enjoyed the pulled pork, and the kids menu had just about everything our littles could want on it.

Honestly, I just came for the alcohol on St. Patrick's Day and they did a great job. So five stars for you! That's all I got.

I'm visiting Colorado and my friends told me they've seen the place but haven't dined in yet. So after taking a 3 hour hike, we decided we might as well eat here and give it a try. The place has so much parking and the theme is very rustic/nature with a touch of bar feel. The inside is well lit, the seats are wooden but comfy to sit in and spacious enough to fit plenty of people. The place has indoor and outdoor dining along with a bar to watch any game coming up. The staff are great and patient especially since I had tons of questions for them since I'm not one of the locals. Our waiter suggested a great cider for me to try while I ordered fish and chips. The wait time was decent and everyone's drinks and foods came out relatively around the same time so no one was left waiting for more than 15+ minutes for a drink or entree. I knew my meal was nice and fresh because the piping hot steam coming from my fish made my mouth drool. Even when I touched the fish, my fingertips were feeling the heat. Taking the first bite was hot and crispy yet the fish was tender and juicy on the inside. The fries/chips were crunchy and hot. The meal was filling and I'm so glad I had a fresh hot meal. Would love to come back for a nice cold drink and hot meal sometime again!

I had a weird schedule going on and I really wasn't that hungry around 9pm, after eating a late lunch. I was staying at the hotel next door and figured I would just walk over and get something lite. I walked in and ordered, from the bartender, a cup on the beer cheese soup and the hummus. Something simple, I think. It took a while for this to be prepared. Not sure why. The place was dead, as it was near closing. After about 10 minutes or so, I got my meal and took it back to my room. Well, the "plating" was kind of interesting. The soup was actually in an entree container, and the hummus was in a soup container, with the chips and veggies in a different to-go box. Now, I would have placed the cup of soup where the hummus was, and put the hummus and the veggies in the chip in the container the soup was. But, that's just me. Now, on to the taste of the food. The beer cheese soup was ok. This is the 2nd variety I have had to where it was almost like a dip and not a soup. The flavor was fine. What one would expect. No complaints about the hummus. Tasted like Sabra. Chips and veggies (carrots and celery) were fine. So, yeah. nothing to write home about. It served it's purpose.

Oskar is a fun place to grab a brew, hear some tunes and chill. You will find plenty of bar food if you get hungry after enjoying your drink. The bar food is typical and very average in taste. I wish I been there when Oskar played live music. Even so I had fun.

Good place to stop and relax while out exploring Denver. Plenty of tvs and games on. The beer and pretzel were delicious!

We didn't take advantage of the patio vibes or rooftop deck with a fire pit, but this is still on our list! While waiting for a table, we cozied up to the bar and ordered drinks. One of the bartenders noticed I ordered the hibiscus margarita and asked me, offhandedly, if I was a fan of spice. Yes, please. With that, he cancelled my order and made me something "not on the menu" but what I called the "Patrick special." So good. Thanks, sir! We ordered burgers and shared their buffalo cauliflower starter. This, my friend, was absolutely amazing. Loved the buffalo spice paired with the bleu cheese. Easy way to enjoy some veggies. And along the same theme, I ordered the Buff and Bleu burger. This was so good, so flavorful and so messy. Don't judge me, but I resorted to using my fork, lol! It was so well balanced. Will have again. Parking here means street parking, but there were plenty of open spots on a Saturday night. The walk was nice. We can't wait to return, maybe on a game day, or maybe to enjoy Sunday brunch on the rooftop. Maybe a sunset for another date night. With this level of yumminess, the possibilities are endless.

Great location, relaxed vibes, especially on a Sunday evening. The beer was solid, but the food stole the show (mostly across the board). Most of our group was happy with their dishes. I had the steak sandwich with a side salad, and the sandwich was top tier. I'm a sucker for a good sandwich, and this one absolutely hit the spot. It was also pretty large, which made it more of a fork-and-knife situation than a handheld one, but no complaints there. A few people in our party upgraded their sides to the sweet potato fries, which were next level. Perfect balance of crispiness with a hint of sweetness that made them stand out. One miss in the group was the mac and cheese; my sister ordered it and wasn't a fan, felt it was too liquidy/runny and underwhelming compared to everything else we tried. Only minor knock overall was that the kitchen was pretty slow, especially considering it wasn't very busy late on a Sunday evening. Not a dealbreaker, but something worth noting if you're in a hurry. Overall, great first Denver meal; good beer, mostly good food, and a relaxed spot that made for a solid welcome to the city.

And their pizzas do stand apart from others! We ordered the War Pig Pizza and a small Caesar Salad. The pizza was topped with a red sauce & a cheese blend, with cotija, pepperoni, prosciutto, bacon, sun-dried tomatoes & a chipotle-maple glaze - it was outstanding! The combination with these ingredients made for a delicious craveable pizza. I especially liked the glaze, more sweet than spicy. However, the salad was just okay, the dressing didn't have a lot of flavor & the lettuce could have been more fresh.
