This spot reminds me of Asian restaurants from my childhood. Great service, comfortable booths and best of all no TVs. I remember when electronics were banned at the dinner table and you were able to connect with the people you were breaking bread with. I just moved back to the area and was excited to eat at this restaurant again as this used to be the best Thai food ive found in phoenix 10 years ago. Boy have they changed! They have cut costs to the extreme!!! And it shows in how the food looks and tastes. I ordered the pad Thai and it was basically a salad of peanuts and beansprouts. The seem to have literally cut out the meat of the dish, which is the meat and the noodles. Also there was hardly any noticeable egg in my dish anymore. And the green onion garnish is literally 2 pieces now. Portion also just looks significantly smaller and definitely not large enough to eat family style with. (I didnt get the lunch special by the way, this was the full large order) I left still hungry for more food. Also I asked for some lemon and they gave me a tiny container of lemon juice instead! I have never ever been to a Thai place or any restaurant where I asked for lemon or lime and was presented with lemon juice from those squeeze bottles that you use for alcohol. What kind of restaurant even does that?! I asked for the dish to be medium spicy (3) and there was no hint of spice in it. I asked for their dry chili flakes and and gave me a small amount that i dumped all of into my dish and it was hardly even spicy. Overall its now a nothing special Thai restaurant. Food was still decently edible but it just isn't good anymore. i will be looking for a better Thai place to eat at from now on. read more

Very authentic Thai restaurant! I love this place, and the prices are very reasonable. Last week, I had their green curry and cashew chicken to go--both were amazingly delicious. I usually don't get cashew dishes, the cashew chicken here was sooo goood!! Today, I came back and ordered the lunch special basil chicken. The lunch special includes one egg roll, a crab rangoon, and a small soup. Everything came out fresh and hot. I also ordered a Thai tea with cream, which was served in a huge glass. Did take out from Thai Lotus, and it was delicious. Started with the spring roll, which was so fresh. It was almost a meal in itself. Then I had an egg roll, which was perfect. I've been living 10 minutes away for 30 years and have never been here. Why? It's tucked away and the exterior isn't very inviting. My grandson has been going here with his father for many years. He suggested we go there for dinner so we went and I had minimal expectations. I should say I love Thai food. We walk in, pleasantly greeted. The seats are worn and cracked, but everything is clean The menu is small, but lots to choose from. Our server was very nice and helped with the food selection. I got the whole fish, my grandson got a curry, and my wife got a noodle shrimp dish. When the food came out it was presented very nicely. Everything smelled wonderful, and tasted amazing. Picked up takeout from Thai Lotus this weekend and was pleasantly surprised! Thai Lotus is a dine-in and takeout restaurant, so if you're looking for a sit down meal experience this place is able to accommodate. It's conveniently located just past Glendale and 19th Ave with plenty of parking for customers. The restaurant interior has fun wallpaper and ample booth seating. The woman who helped me with my takeout was quick and friendly. I ordered the Pad See Ew medium spice and really enjoyed my meal. Other folks in my party ordered the Panang Curry and Pad Thai, note that the Pad Thai comes with a lot of peanuts. Overall I look forward to this place becoming my new Thai takeout spot! read more

Thai Lotus always satisfies my cravings for Thai. I always order my food for delivery, so I can't speak for service or ambiance inside the restaurant. My orders are always fulfilled quickly, though. I love their Choo Chee Fish and Tom Yum soup with tofu. My only complaint (one star off) is that the preparation of beef and chicken in their dishes can be dry for my taste. read more

Grabbed a to go order tonight on the way home. Food was outstanding. We had pad Thai with chicken and Panang curry with chicken. We finished both dishes easily and will for sure come back for future to go orders. The restaurant itself has seen better days. Inside and out they need to refresh and repaint. Worst Thai In Phoenix First Time Customer Via Uber Eats E-San Combo- Terrible. They gave more pickled papaya salad which is not fresh. 3 small pieces of chicken. Sticky rice is sticky dry. Tofu Spring Roll- Not fresh. Stale. Fried Tofu- Stale Don't even go here. They really left a bad impression for the price of around $40, you're better off with Rice Paddy, Thai Chili 2 Go, Pho Laveen and Pho Bowl Laveen. The cook doesn't love their job. The triangle of deliciousness (minus the sketchy 711) on 19th Ave and Glendale is legit. The trifecta - Thai Lotus, Authentic Liberian, and Otoyac are some of the best ethnic restaurants we have in the valley. I decided to try Thai Lotus after being blown away by the adjacent restaurants. I ordered the yellow curry with tofu. I ordered mild spiciness, but it was enough to make my nose run. Had the most intense craving for Panang Curry and this place hit it out of the park. Customer service was fantastic even though it is was a pick up. My husband and I go to church nearby, so this is our go-to carry-out to bring home after Sunday service. They always prepare our food fresh and in a timely manner. Stopped by this restaurant in passing to pickup carry out dinner as we have enjoyed the food before and we happened to be in the neighborhood. The restaurant is about 25 minutes away from our house. We parked in the parking lot and my wife went into order 3 separate orders of fried rice. They said it would be ready in 15-20 minutes. She waited in the car as the food was prepared and went back into grab it after about 15 minutes and then hurried back out to the car so we could get home and feed our kids. We got home and had a completely different order than we placed. The food they gave us was not something we typically ordered and after trying was not something any of us cared for. We called the restaurant and explained what had happened. They asked us to either come back tonight or sometime this week to get our original order. I thought the drive was too far to return tonight but could plan for another day this week when I would be in there area. I was content with their offer of customer satisfaction. Then, about 5 minutes later we receive a call back from the restaurant retracting the offer and saying that it was our fault for not checking the receipt. We are not regulars here but we do visit occasionally. I can tell you this will be the last time we eat or refer people to eat here. We got the tom yum, pineapple fried rice, spicy basil noodle, and yellow curry. All of the things we ordered were 10/10 - this place is the best Thai restaurant I have been to in the Phoenix area. We've had a conversation with the waitress and we were told that they make all their curry from scratch (no wonder it's so good and fresh). Also, I was really craving Thai iced tea beforehand, and that didn't disappoint either. :) The serving is huge, and it's definitely a shareable size. I posted a pic, but I didn't get to get a good one because the food got devoured right away! We had kids with us, and they have some toys to entertain them. This is one of those undiscovered mom and pap shops that is worth a try for sure. I had the green curry and pad see ew with tofu. I called for a to-go order and they got it done super fast. Literally under 15mins and they have my order ready. I called ahead and when I arrived to pick up, the lady had it all ready. I asked for a side of chili but they forgot. Not sure if it's a thing now, but they don't give any utensils unless you specifically ask for it. So make sure you ask for it. The food itself is pretty good.
