I ordered the iced lavender matcha and double smoked sandwich. The food was great and enjoyed that the drink was made up to standard. The service was a bit slow and I didn't really understand how they had over 5 people on the floor but no one at the front register. I was the only one in line and still had to wait about 3-4 minutes before someone came up to take my order. At least 3 people at drive through, one person restocking and one person was cleaning -- yet no one stopped to help me with my order until I said something. Typically great service order online and in and out quick and on the road. Today I get my Latte and it's in a red n green holiday cup. It's Jan 23 the Holiday decorations are put away and every Retailer is on to Valentine's Day or Lunar New Year. Look stupid going into a meeting with my Christmas Cup, like a saved it or scamming free refills. Asked to change it, young lady offered bigger cup and said they only have grande holiday cups. How does this Starbucks not have 5 stars as a whole?! This is truly the BEST starbucks in Irvine. We have several within a 5 mile radius ( campus dr, inside albertsons, inside target, alton pkway, etc) This Starbucks is not only the least expensive ( my drink is $4.95 at other locations and only $2.95 here) but what I value most is the EXPERIENCE. Julia is truly the friendliest barista who never forgets a name or a face. Who can say that anymore? The service here is probably the worst Starbucks location. I went through the drive thru, sat there for about 7 minutes and since there were no cars behind me i proceeded to the window. The young girl opens the window and I asked her if I could order with her since no one answered the drive thru monitor. She says, "we're really busy so you can just go back in line". Like a robot, she said the same sentence twice to me, which shows she doesn't understand customer service. Not sure where she came from, but that's probably one of the worst responses you could give a customer. Came in to switch out a drink another Starbucks didn't make correctly. I was contemplating on switching drinks becuase Cappuccino's are hard to make correctly. I'm not a huge coffee drinker, but I do enjoy getting a blonde roast at this location. They have one of those coffee machines that brews when you order, versus it being brewed and sitting there throughout the day. I usually do the free refill, but take it home and put it in the fridge. I add my raw sugars while it's hot, then my own half and half when I have it in the morning. A medium lasts me at least two mornings - and I actually look forward to it. I would highly recommend using your own half and half though - makes a world of difference! read more

This location has some great and friendly workers. It is located right off the 405 and is often a place I visit when I get gas in the morning before work. I would say after 730 AM, business will pick up and it is a much longer wait. It seems like the crowds come in spurts. Food and drinks are often consistent. I usually order the venti americano and bacon egg bites. I feel this is a nice combination of a pick me up from the espresso shots and protein from the egg bites. Definitely get the usual Starbucks vibe. seems like a lot of families, students, and coworkers will frequent this place to study or chill. I like the big patio area outside. read more

My work is nearby, so every now and then, my coworkers and I will come here for a coffee break. They have tables just outside for you to enjoy your beverage in the nice southern California weather. We always order ahead on the app and go inside to pick up our orders, but they do have a drive thru option. The employees have always been nice and friendly. Usually this place is great. And I hope the manager or someone in charge sees this. On Saturday afternoon around 1:30 this Starbucks location has NEVER moved slower. My mobile order was said to be ready at 1:33. At 1:45 it's still not ready. I'm watching the barista as I write this and she's moving at a snail's pace. The other worker is filling up stuff and leaning on the counter talking. The car line is long. There's a crowd of like 10 of us by the mobile order pick up. It's insane. Worst service ever!! It was my first time ordering through the Mobile App with Drive-Thru Pick-up, I was already running behind schedule so thought it would be quicker - No! I pulled up to the Drive-thru window and then was yelled at - saying I needed to check in at the Drive-thru Menu/ordering screen - where is that on the App. Then they told me my order wasn't ready and that I would have to get in line again (mind you - I asked to purchase $100 in gift cards while I waited for my order but they debugged me and made me get in line again instead) - when I pulled around the line was triple the length it was when I initially went through and waited for 10 minutes - so I left and called and canceled my order - Starbucks needs to eliminate the Mobile-Drive-Thru Pick-up Option - I would never use it again - especially at this Starbucks! read more

This Starbucks location in particular has a serious attitude problem. They will mess up your drink, charge you for the wrong drink (charging you higher), not use the stars to pay when you ask them to, and not heat up bakery items that you asked to be heated and then act like it's *your* fault that they messed up when you ask him to fix it. I don't know if it's a management issue or what but you cannot treat customers like this and expect them to come back. On a positive note the indoor and outdoor seating are both great, sucks that it has to be muddied by such horrible energy by some of the staff. read more
