This morning I needed to get lots of coffee made in an instant due to a power outage. We were serving breakfast to a group of about 40, not an ideal time to be without power. Shanae (sorry for the misspelling), Penelope and Vince jumped into action. They went over and beyond providing amazing service and did it with a smile. I love the taste of Peet's coffee. They offer a variety of handcrafted coffee and tea beverages and many different types of coffee beans to make at home. There is indoor and outdoor seating available, with soft background music playing. Baristas are generally friendly here. I can be quite picky about my coffee, and started a Peet's coffee bean subscription because of their high quality and just roasted beans for my daily espresso lattes. I actually ran out of beans early this time, so had to make a stop to purchase some from the store. I picked the coffee based on the most recent roasting date. They also offer a free cup of drip coffee with any bean purchase. When I'm not drinking coffee at home, this is one of the few coffee shops that I actually can drink the drip coffee, as it is rich and flavorful. read more

I really like Peet's as a brand. Ordered coffee and food via the Peet's app with delivery. Delivery person stole my food and did not respond to any outreach. Delivery service told me to contact Peet's since I ordered via their app. Peet's made no effort to resolve this situation and directed me towards the delivery service. Solid spot for a caffeine fix. I like the coffee--consistently good and satisfying. The food is just okay, nothing to write home about, but it does the job. What really makes this location stand out is the outdoor seating area: plenty of shade, heaters for cooler days, and a relaxed vibe that's perfect for hanging out, catching up with friends, or getting some work done. Drinks are consistent with other Peet's coffee- I don't come in here as much as a regular does, but the customer service is lacking. For most of my visits the customer service isn't great. There have been plenty times where I come in, even make contact with some of the baristas in here as I walk in, and they don't acknowledge/welcome/say anything to me. No points taken off though if the barista is seemingly unhappy at their job -- I've also once been a barista too and worked hard yet still struggled to pay the bills lol. So no worries about that. I think at least welcoming or acknowledging if a customer is there is important though. read more

Love the Peets on Golden Lantern in Laguna Niguel. Love the crafted coffee made to order rather than push buttons. I will travel to this particular Peets since their machine can still make crafted coffee. Love the management and employees at this Peets, Heard the Starbucks corporate management has come over to Peets. Please leave alone, they make great coffee.I have been to other Peets and they have push button coffee machines like Starbucks push button that are terrible. I've had two great experiences here during the past few months. My most recent visit I was helped by Jennifer. She was friendly and attentive. She noticed I was walking around their store looking for a certain type of coffee bean. She asked if I needed help, and I told her which coffee bean I was looking for. She quickly grabbed a bag of it from behind the counter, asked if I wanted it ground, and if so, to what setting. While waiting for the grounds to be prepped she offered me a complimentary coffee, which was definitely a nice perk that I wasn't expecting. I gladly accepted, and was on my way to my next errand with both my one pound of ground coffee and my coffee to enjoy in the moment. Thank you Jennifer for a lovely experience! I like Peete's because it doesn't feel "Chainy," if that's a word, lol. I think it's a good place to grab a quick coffee and chill outside like today when the weather is nice. I prefer the blended drinks but the low calorie ones are hit and miss for me so iced coffee works most of the time. The people are nice at this location and it's easy to get in and out. Plenty of parking since it's in a shopping center. read more

I'm not a coffee drinker, but I enjoy a good tea....either iced or hot....but it has to be good. And so far I've tried a bunch of other places and have not been too impressed. I especially do not like that star moose place and don't go there at all....unless I'm desperate for a hot tea at the airport. Well, I think I've found my favorite place for tea and ambiance. Yea yea, this place is located in the newly developed neighborhood of Orchard Hills, Irvine, where it's still relatively quiet as new homes are popping up in the area. I expect this cookie cutter mall will pack them in in time. Meanwhile, it's still quite a nice strip mall.....with some rustic character that you kind of feel like you're up in Vail or something. Ok, there's not much to say about this place.....it's very nice, clean, and comfortable.... people were friendly, atmosphere very chill with at least half the tables taken up by students on their laptops, ipads, or phones. The indoor seating isn't huge and you can expect tables to get occupied pretty quickly.....but thank goodness for a really nice outdoor seating area where you can enjoy some fresh air along with your hot beverage. I ordered a nice large hot Oolong tea.....and really enjoyed it!......one of the best teas of any coffee/tea place I'd been to. My friend also recently happened to mention to me a few weeks ago that Peet's has the best coffees and teas!.......and I agree with that. Ah! The only problem is that Orchard Hills is still a very new area and I could not receive any service for my T-mobile data.....thank goodness Peet's has very good strong wifi! Peet's! This place is one of my absolute favorite spots. We used to live in an apartment complex nearby, and I would love visiting this particular location. I think with some of the new neighborhoods it's definitely gotten busier than it used to be. But what I love is the overall setting within a beautiful shopping/dining complex. In the store, they play classical music, and you can't help but relax. Ironic for coffee place? Maybe. There's also a gorgeous shared seating area outdoors where lots of folks bring their dogs and enjoy the weather over a nice cup of coffee. But enough about the ambience. Let's get to the real star of this place: the coffee. Peet's coffee is just delicious. I absolutely love their Javiva blended drink with an added shot of espresso! Their regular coffee tastes fantastic whichever way you prefer to take it. I find their staff is always super nice and good at what they do. I've been going to this Peet's location for years now, and it never fails to impress. I know Peet's is a chain, but this location has a very local feel and the barista's are fast and friendly. I've noticed they remember customer's names and orders, which is nice to see. I switch up my order often, but you really can't go wrong. Their coffee is strong, but also has a very significant taste that makes me come back again and again. If my order has ever been made incorrectly (I can only think of 1 or 2 times out of the many times I've gone), they will re-make it without hesitation. The inside area is a little small, but there is a large outdoor patio with seating. They also have very good pastries at this location. The blueberry muffin is delicious, and the oatmeal has great topping options. Even after a year in Seattle, I still missed Peet's. read more

The pumpkin coffee is the best compared to other competitors. The staffs not only are professional, they are also very considerate for their customers! This afternoon after a long walk, I initially ordered 2 hot pumpkin lattes for my parents. I later found out my father wanted iced latte. I then asked for ice. The lady staff first gave me a cup of ice with lid and straw. While I poured the coffee into the cup with ice, she came out and offered an iced pumpkin latte for free. We were overwhelmed with their thoughtfulness. We haven't e experienced such a great service for a very long time. Many thanks to the kind staff; she definitely bright up our day! read more
