This coffee shop is pretty small inside, but there's plenty of outdoor seating right outside with lots of comfortable sofas, so it's actually a nice place to hang out. It's located in the Great Park residential area, making it a convenient stop if you're visiting the park, going for a run, or biking around the neighborhood. The service was good, and I really enjoyed the coffee. They also have a nice selection of grab-and-go items like salads, overnight oats, snacks, and other quick bites. You can also pick up their coffee beans and other coffee-related products to take home. A nice little neighborhood coffee spot, especially if you're already around Great Park! read more

The location is kind of hidden inside a townhouse community and the coffee shop itself is really tiny. The coffee was really good though. It was smooth, low acidity, a little floral, and had a nice clean finish. Not too bitter either. Only reason I gave 4 stars is because the cashier didn't greet or acknowledge us at all when we came in. The coffee itself was definitely good. read more

full review: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DceZda9PF_b/ Thoroughly enjoyed the Ethiopia Pour Over and Double Matcha with Almond Milk. The drinks were delicious, savoring every sip. Sweet, fruity slightly acidic aftertaste for the Ethiopia Pour Over. The Double Matcha with Almond milk, was a pleasantly refreshing drink and the creamy matcha foam is a must-try! Paired very well. My friend had their Spanish latte with Almond Milk and said it was smooth and subtlety sweet. The financiers were delicious, raspberry, pecan, and pistachio. Nutty almond flavor and delectable. Inside the cafe itself is chill and clean, with ambient music. Lots of outside seating, friendly and welcoming staff. Will be back! read more

Local neighborhood coffee shop in Novel Park just walking distance from their community park. The menu has grown since the last time I was here but glad to say the drinks are solid. Ordered their Blue Hummingbird Latte with matcha and whole milk and can say it was delicious. The level of sweetness was just right. Service is pretty quick on a random weekday, not sure about the weekends. It's a small joint so no seating inside but seating is outside and throughout the neighborhood. read more

I came here earlier today to get some work done, and overall, the experience was just okay. Pros: Lots of outdoor seating available Plenty of shade for hot days Clean restrooms Handicap accessible Plenty of free parking Open, pet-friendly space with walking and grassy areas Flexible seating. You can easily rearrange tables to suit your needs Great coffee menu with reasonable prices Cons: The Wi-Fi was terrible. I had to use my own hotspot, which was frustrating since most of us come to coffee shops to enjoy a cup of coffee and get work done. Without reliable Wi-Fi, it really defeats the purpose of making the drive here. There was no music, so you can hear everyone's conversations unless you bring headphones. It can get really hot outside Otherwise unless they figure out their WiFi unfortunately I will not be back here for work. However, it is a cool spot to meet up with friends or simply come to enjoy coffee and not work. read more

11/10 staff. Not only are the drinks carefully crafted, the staff here gave me a very memorable experience. Mayo and Eddie were both very kind and funny people. I visited a few other times and saw someone named Jesse as well who also was fantastic to talk to. Despite being in a hidden location, I believe this location has an extra edge in service comparatively to the other locations. read more

We stopped by this spot since we were in the area and luckily found some parking that was close by. They had plenty of options to choose from, but it was a bit of a challenge to figure out what we wanted to order. The breakfast food options all looked so delicious and tasty, but I opted for a matcha chia parfait along with a redeye coffee. We seemed to have come across the breakfast rush in the area, so it took a few minutes for the staff to take our orders and prepare them. Even though it was a minimal wait, the staff was professional, quick, and friendly when it came to taking down our orders, paying, and packing the order. The inside of the shop is cute with some modern touches. The exterior had plenty of spots to enjoy our treats outside--plenty of spots to sit, lounge, and eat. An alternative is to take the items to go. The only challenge would be in finding a parking spot (free parking, but a bit limited). Honestly, if I'm in the area again, I'd consider coming back to try out other drink and food options. read more

Best coffee in the area. I wish there was more Blue Hummingbirds in Irvine in this side of town. Almost feels like every community could have one of these smaller local stores. Have tried many of their drinks. The flat white and the blue hummingbird latte are my favorites. Service is quick and the outdoor seating area is nice and cozy with local families and kids. read more

CUP is nestled among a new, modern, and beautiful residential area near Irvine Great Park. With lovely outdoor seating (and it was family friendly), you can enjoy your cup of coffee in the fresh air. On a rainy day, however, this place doesn't have space to sit indoors. I ordered the Iced Hojica Tea Latte. The person taking my order let me know it wasn't sweetened, so we added Vanilla Syrup. The drink was very pleasant. I also had a pastry warmed. Their Zaatar and Cheese pinwheel was very flavorful. I would recommend! read more

Such an impressive place and hidden gem!! The workers are so kind and welcoming, and the store is clearly arranged in a way that has the community in mind. It's very interactive for both children and adults alike, with hidden toys around the store where you can get candy if you find all of them. The interior is small and cozy and there's plenty of outdoor seating. My friends and I were a big fans of the honey latte, you could tell it was made with care. The cookies were so good too! I will be coming again! read more

Ambiance ~ STARS 3/5 The cushion chairs are nice but need to be wiped off or cleaned after it rains. We sat on the cushions not knowing they were wet. There is an inside area to sit and an outdoor patio, which are both pleasant. It seems like a hip location inside an industrial area, so a lot of business oriented people come to this spot. The service was quick and servers were friendly! The people working inside made me smile! Food ~ STARS 3.5/5 Earthy items to select from such as non-sugared chia seed pudding with granola and fruit. The coffee can be chosen to drink in an in house cup to sit on the patio or in a to go container. I would have liked to have seen more pastries inside the glass container when we were ordering at 11:30 am. I would give this location another try with food when I'm in the area. Parking ~ STARS 4/5 You may get lucky to find a parking spot inside this industrial building complex because there are a bunch of businesses. There are plenty of handicap spots and parking slots just outside the coffee house if they aren't taken by the businesses. Maybe the owner can place signs for customer specific parking for quick entrance of a duration of time such as "Hummingbird Cafe Parking for 30 minutes only". read more

The drinks and service were excellent. We were super impressed with the hospitality of the workers, as well as their efficiency. We had the matcha and the Columbian pour over. The matcha foam paired nicely with the rest of the drink. Personally recommend the almond milk. And the pour over was smooth and well balanced with hints of fruit and subtle acidity. The pastries are a must for visits. The mini cake pastries are a must try, many flavors to choose from, including options with nuts to chocolate. Shout out to Ethan our cashier. read more

Absolutely loved this place! The coffee was amazing. Honestly way better than the average big-name coffee chains. You can really taste the quality. They also had vegan pastries, which was perfect for my son who has allergies. It's such a relief finding places that are thoughtful and inclusive with their menu. The service from Luis and Mayo was warm, friendly, and genuinely inviting. They made the whole experience even better. It's also dog-friendly and even has treats for your furry friends, which is such a cute touch. Will definitely be coming back again! Highly recommend. read more

Okay, conceptually, I LOVE this place. Practically? I still love this place bahahaha. Cup by Blue Hummingbird has captured my heart as a neighborhood coffee shop. It's a gorgeous little cafe that's located in the middle of the Great Park. When I lived nearby, I would walk or bike here every other weekend, just to enjoy a combination of the surrounding neighborhood and just the vibes of the shop itself. My friends will tell you I'm a coffee snob, and they'd be 1000% right, and I really do enjoy the 'spro coming out of this place. I think their product is super consistent, and enjoyable enough to be a daily driver. I almost always get an iced flat white, and leisurely stroll back home. The baristas are always pleasant, and they seem like they enjoy working at the spot, so it tends to bring up the mood whenever I go. Sometimes you get the unsavory customer that you have to wait behind, but that's certainly not the shop's fault. They also carry pastries and little snacks if you're looking for something to eat! This place deserves a try, especially on a nice and sunny day! read more

what a genius idea to have a local coffee shop in the middle of your neighborhood run by the HOA. Instead of having to get in your SUV and drive to the local java joint, you can have a leisurely walk and maybe see some neighbors and socialize. Workers were friendly and the coffee was good. They have some fun flavors and the interior was decorated nicely for the holidays. A good place to try if you're in the area and a genius idea! read more

A little different from your average OC coffee shop, the CUP by Blue Hummingbird is nestled in a a neighborhood of townhomes and condos near the Great Park. It's small, with no indoor seating, but there's plenty of options here. I've had the Hojicha black sugar latte and have tried the signature blue hummingbird latte (espresso or matcha latte with pandan syrup). The black sugar Hojicha latte was unique, as was the blue hummingbird latte, but I didn't get a really strong pandan flavor. They also have a pretty wide selection of baked goods for such a teeny spot. I've had their financier and their vegan donuts, both are tasty. Overall, this is a great spot if you're on a walk in the neighborhood (but there's also plenty of street parking too) but I recommend ordering well in advance to beat the long lines. read more

Loveeee their coffees! Their cafe is located in between corporate offices so the area is not too busy on the weekends. Perfect for meeting a coworker or friend to chat in their outdoor seating with plenty of shade and breeze to chat over coffee. The day I went they had Mr Brown's financier and they were a teeny bit drunk that day but the flavors were phenomenal. Very close to my home so I would visit again! read more

Coworker brought some drinks into work so I got to try the blue hummingbird latte and the spring mist matcha latte. The coffee was sweet and solid, I didnt try to much. The matcha was really solid, the right level of sweetness. I wanted this matcha over the other drinks because the other menu options sweeten the matcha with vanilla and that tends to overshine the matcha if its not balanced properly. read more

What a lovely hidden gem! This coffee shop is in a mostly residential area and while it's more of a coffee for to-go place, there are seating areas outside. We got the Iced Blue Hummingbird Latte with Oat Milk and a classic Cappuccino. They also had a lot of specialty drinks and many seasonal ones that I'm excited to try next time. The Blue Hummingbird Latte had a unique flavor. I want to say that there's a savory profile but nothing extreme. It's in the sense that you want to keep drinking it, sort of like when you eat caramel popcorn. The Cappuccino was well made and perfectly balanced, exactly what you hope to expect for a cappuccino. The staff was friendly and the ambiance was cozy. It would be nice if there were some options for seating indoors, especially when it's hot out. Although sitting outside does mean you can see some cute pups on their walks. Overall I enjoyed my first time here and would come back to try more items on their menu. read more

Wanted to leave an updated review because this place has definitely come a long way. I have lived in Green Park since construction first started... Since the cup was first opened, offering free coffees to everyone in the neighborhood just to get their name out. Since then, the combination of their fun and unique seasonal drinks as well as they're amazing Staff and crew has been such a pleasure every morning. I'm able to visit. Today I popped in after dropping my daughter off at Saturday school to surprise, wifey and her mom with some amazing seasonal drink drinks from the Cup. Louis was the captain today at the register and like always guided me toward his favorite seasonal drink, saying it is something that he would drink every morning if he could. And I wholeheartedly agree. The service here is always amazing. read more

Updating my previous 5-star review from when they first opened/had fewer locations. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend them with 5 stars anymore. The drink quality has gone down significantly, and there is now very little consistency between locations. Recent visits have been disappointing, particularly with the vanilla matcha latte, which has had a strange, banana-like aftertaste rather than the quality taste they used to have. Some staff members also seem disengaged and do not make the drinks with care. I hope management can address these consistency issues but in the meantime I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

CUP offers a great patio seating area and a pleasant atmosphere. It's quite busy on a Saturday morning, but the environment is still enjoyable. There's ample space for kids and dogs to run around. The food selection is limited, but the items they offer are high-quality. They also have gluten-free and dairy-free options. The ambiance is casual and comfortable, making it a great spot for a relaxed meal. I would like to see the menu expanded to include more specialty drinks and food items. read more

I stopped by this coffee spot after getting some cava in the area. The location is in an odd spot, it's in the middle of all these Irvine apartments. Regardless, I wanted to give this place a try since it had great reviews. Service/Ambiance: Service was quick and friendly. It was one woman running the place. The interior of the place is very modern and clean. They don't have seating instead but there's outdoor seating. Drink Consensus: We ordered the Hummingbird Latte and the BHB Matcha Latte. My boyfriend rated his hummingbird latte a 8/10. It's not too sweet and flavorful. I give my matcha latte a 5/10. I liked that it had a light sweetness to it but it was giving green milk. If they get the matcha to milk ratios right, this could be good. I wouldn't recommend this drink. Overall, I don't see myself coming back since I am a matcha girl but if you like coffee, give this place a try. read more
