What a cute little tea shop in Irvine! We stopped by on Monday night after dinner, and as expected, it wasn't busy, so our drinks came out in just a few minutes. The décor is really pretty -- definitely a great spot for photos. As for the drinks, there were so many tempting options that it was hard to choose! We ended up with a taro smoothie with extra honey boba (an extra $1 -- ouch!) and a peach Bellini. Both were okay -- not amazing, not bad, just average in our opinion. The service, however, was great! The staff was friendly and welcoming. We wouldn't mind coming back again next time we're in the Cypress Village plaza.

Wow, my taste buds are dancing with joy from all the sweetness! I couldn't be happier with my choice, and I'm ready to conquer work--and maybe even the world! The vibe here is fantastic, super clean, and they've got great wifi . I'm absolutely thrilled to have discovered this gem on my way back. I'll definitely be returning because the service was lightning-fast!

Drink are great but I really came here cuz it's so bright and quiet. Nice place to chill and decompress I came around Thursday 3pm and there's no one here. So my drinks came fast Wish there were tables to put laptop here. The decor is more for ppl to drink and go. I would come more if I can work here

Peach Bellini - A hand, wearing a white wristwatch, holds a large plastic cup filled with iced tea, featuring a red straw. The background displays a wall with colorful abstract shapes and a neon sign that reads 'redstraw' with a stylized drink icon above it. The setting appears to be inside a modern tea shop or cafe.

A decent spot for boba with a wide variety of drink options. There's a decent amount of parking available outside and this location has both indoor and outdoor seating available. The indoor seating is all small 2-top tables, so the capacity of the store is not that large. The menu is fairly extensive with all of the drinks that you typically see at a boba shop but it also has a very large variety of creative drinks and flavors. I didn't see it explicitly written out on the menu, but they do have customizations for alternative milks as well. There's nothing outstanding about the service, it's very minimal but very quick. The drinks have good flavor and the boba that was added on for my drink was cooked well. The tea flavor wasn't very strong, but could still be tasted. There are still a lot of drink combinations that I'd like to try so I would definitely go back to try more of their drinks.

Menu as of 4/12/25 - Tea menu divided into three sections: Milk Tea, Refreshing Tea, and Custom Tea. The Milk Tea section lists options like Redstraw Milk Tea, Jasmine Green Milk Tea, and Organic Honey Oolong, with prices and ingredient details. The Refreshing Tea section includes drinks such as French Daisy, Green Mojito, and Rose Garden, with descriptions and prices. The Custom Tea section offers various flavored teas like Earl Grey, Blue Lady, and Peach Mandarins, with prices. The menu is printed on light-colored paper with a minimalistic design and small illustrations of tea drinks at the bottom.

We went here on a Saturday and ordered two drinks. This place is conveniently located next to Mokkoji hot pot and other yummy restaurants located in the Albertsons center. There is also a Starbucks next door. We had the Thai tea with almond milk and boba (for an additional $1) and the Toxic Garden. Both drinks were at 100% sweetness. The drinks here are a value for the size (24 oz), and these are quality drinks. The Thai tea, surprisingly was not overly sweet. The boba was good and fresh. The Toxic Garden (strange name if you ask me) is a combination of green juice consisting of kale, celery, and cucumber mixed with jade tea. It was a tad sweet, but tasted better after the ice melted some. Customer service was good and the cashier was nice. The inside is cute with some seating although most people took their drinks to go when we came. The line was long, but they were efficient so it took only about 5 minutes for the drinks to come out. Stay thirsty!

Redstraw features a menu of refreshing beverages including milk teas, black teas, green teas, oolong teas, chai teas, herbal teas, coffee and smoothies. Best part is they come up with their own creations from time to time such as the "Island Glow" - a sweet and refreshing blend of mango, creamy coconut slush, sago, and grapefruit. Service has always been friendly and efficient when I've visited. The competition among tea shops in Irvine is stiff, but Redstraw may prove to be one of the mainstays.

Strawberry bingsoo

Went there on a super hot Saturday in Orange County so I decided on the strawberry bingsoo. The texture was great. It's a creamy yet icy consistency with the perfect level of sweetness. It's not super sweet, but just right. It was so refreshing. My wife got a strawberry matcha tea and that was pretty good as well. I don't care for matcha drinks, but it was pretty good. This was the first time I've been to Redstraw, but I'll definitely be back!

Inside - Multiple potted plants with green foliage are placed on a white metal grid shelf, which is positioned indoors. The background features a painted wall with abstract shapes and a curtain on the right side. The plants are in small brown pots, and the shelf is decorated with white stones at the base. The image captures the indoor plant display in a modern, minimalistic setting.

Wow 10 out of 10!!!! This place has some of the coolest and best tasting tea varieties I've ever even had! They definitely care about your drink and what goes into it. Today was our first visit and we will be back for sure. The flavors were so yummy we had the best service and I love how many unique combos they offer! We tried three of the drinks today and all of them were fire!

Barely any boba for a 6.25 dollar drink . Really dissapointing not worth it .

Barely any boba for a 6.25 dollar drink . Really dissatisfied. Not worth it if this is the portion they will give .

Good boba. Really interesting menu- a lot mixed drink combos. All refreshing. A little bit on the high priced side of boba especially without the mix ins. Good ambiance. Looks fancy. There's something keeping it from being 5 stars... it tries to be high end when it's not quite there

Love this place! This is my go-to whenever I'm craving a fruity, refreshing drink. There's always lots of parking, cozy seating indoors, lots of seating outdoors, great menu selection, tasty drinks, and helpful staff. I like that we get to choose the level of sweetness. Til next time!

There were about 3 people ahead of me in line and a few waiting for drinks, but I was able to order and get my drink in around 10 minutes. Staff was very friendly and checked in with us while waiting in line! I ordered the Matcha Two, which comes as a matcha latte topped with salted matcha vanilla cream foam. The foam was velvety and creamy. The matcha had a smooth, earthy flavor with subtle sweetness. Oatmilk was the default choice, and while I usually think oatmilk can overpower matcha, it worked well in this drink. It is a little pricey for 1 drink, but that also seems to be the norm these days for specialty drinks. This is more of a grab-and-go spot than a place to hang out. There's no seating, just a bench inside, and everyone waited outside since the interior is on the smaller side. Parking was easy when I went. Overall, a pleasant experience for a yummy matcha drink, and I'd definitely come back to try more of their matcha menu!

Came here with some friends for Afternoon Tea on a Saturday. We made a reservation for 12:30pm. Check-in was easy and quick. Since it was raining, we were seated indoors. Our server came to explain the menu and tea choices. Unfortunately, they were out of some teas, but they have a seasonal tea menu to make up for it. There were four of us and we all got the Afternoon Tea set. The teas we chose were the Coconut Milk Green Tea, Blueberry Pie Green Tea, Earl Grey Lavender, and Cherry Rose Rooibos. The teas came out first followed by the food items. We were told to let the teas steep for 4 minutes before pouring them. They were all great, but the favorite for us was the Coconut Milk Green Tea. It was creamy, smooth, and milky with a nice coconut flavor. The Blueberry Pie Green Tea tasted like a blueberry pie. We did not feel that the blueberry flavor was artificial. The Earl Grey Lavender was more Earl Grey than lavender. There might have been a subtle lavender flavor. The Cherry Rose Rooibos was surprisingly flavorful. We were able to taste both the cherry and rose. The food items were all solid. Our favorite sandwiches are the Chicken Salad and Cucumber ones. The breads for all the sandwiches were soft and fluffy, but they held up well. The scones were crunchy but not dry, and the jam was delicious. The fruit tart was mediocre. The pastry was soggy, affecting the texture of the tart. The macaron was not as chewy as others I have had in thr past, but was not too sweet. I did not try the donut so cannot comment on it. Overall, giving Morning Lavender Cafe a 4.5/5. Service is great and staff are quick and attentive. The teas were all good and most of the food is solid with exception of a couple of bites. It is a cute spot for hanging out or having an event such as a bridal shower or birthday. Would recommend to others and would return for Afternoon Tea or other items.
