We stopped by Yogurtland tonight after having dinner next door at the sushi bar. Before coming inside, my husband, my son, and I were outside playing catch with his plush toy. When we walked in, my son and I were coughing. My son experiences cough attacks after running that are completely out of his control. He was not sick. The employee working tonight immediately began shaking his head, walked away, and put on a mask. While I understand the importance of protecting oneself from illness, the way this was handled was extremely uncomfortable and inappropriate. After I kindly explained that my son was not sick, the employee began bringing out disinfecting wipes. This made us feel embarrassed and judged. Being treated this way, especially in front of others, was hurtful and unnecessary. Families dealing with medical conditions should not be made to feel ashamed for something beyond their control. How many other people walk in every day that an employee has no way of knowing whether they are sick or not? Singling out one family based on assumptions was unnecessary and unprofessional. I like this location as it is close to my home, and they carry all of the flavors my kid and i enjoy (I believe they have more of a selection than the other locations I've been to). The shop is always clean, and the machines seem to be probably maintained. I have been to froyo spots where the machines malfunction, and my kid gets sad when she can't get the flavor she wants. I have been on a froyo wave lately for reasons I can't explain lately. I have vistes this location in the Tustin Market Place several times over the past few months which I surprising considering I never really cared for froyo before. I typically get cheesecake froyo and maybe some strawberry if I'm feeling dangerous. I then top it with some combination of reeses or oreo and always always always sour gummy worms. Sour gummy worms on their own are just okay but when I toss them into my froyo cup I revert to my 8 year old self and I can't get enough. I always get the smaller cup so I don't feel tempted to go overboard. The froyo is tasty and not too sweet which I enjoy. The inside is fairly small with only a couple tables inside. This Yogurtland is in the Tustin Market Place. There is a nice area to enjoy your foods and deserts and for your kids to run around. If you have the Retail Therapy app, you can buy BOGO half price for 2nd one if you buy a water or banana. The banana is only $1 so I recommend getting that to fulfill the BOGO deal. I had a very disappointing experience due to poor customer service. There is one employee in particular who consistently gives off a negative attitude. During my recent visit, I politely asked for a sample cup and was met with an unfriendly look before she reluctantly handed one to me. As I was sampling a few flavors, I realized I had left my credit card in my car. On my way out to retrieve it, the employee abruptly stopped helping another customer and loudly accused me in front of a full store, saying, "If you're only coming in here to try samples, don't come in at all." I was shocked and embarrassed by this completely uncalled-for outburst. If the store has a policy regarding sample cups, it should be communicated respectfully--not through public shaming. No customer should be treated this way, especially when they fully intend to make a purchase. This might be my favorite Yogurtland location because they open until midnight! Very nice location with a lot of seatings outside. I was surprised that it was busy at around 10pm but the line moved very quickly. There were a lot of interesting frozen yogurt flavors and toppings to chose from. I got plain tart, sumatra coffee blend, alphonso mango tart, matcha green tea, cookies & cream, topped with strawberries, blueberries, kiwi, and mango for only $8! What a great price! The frozen yogurts were delicious and the fruits were fresh. My favorite flavor was the plain tart, then coffee and mango. The employees were friendly and had a great attitude. I am not a fan of all the sweeter flavors, so I go for original tart, and when available, mango tart is also spectacular.
