Cute ice cream shop located in OC. The shopping center is busy so it's more of a grab and sit in your car to eat kind of spot. There is ample parking around but I could picture it filling up on a really busy night. I am glad it's open a bit later than most shops and very fast quick service. I would highly recommend the Dalgona Affogato it was very good.
This is honestly the best Honeymee in Orange County. It's in a quaint plaza with other food spots, such as a hot pot and boba spot. They also have some items on the menu that other Honeymee's don't have. The employees here are also usually friendlier than some of the other locations. However, if you don't want to talk to anyone while ordering, a kiosk is available. Personally, my favorite item is the Sweetie, which has true milk ice cream drizzled with honey. The Honeymee -- true milk ice cream with honeycomb -- is also pretty good if you're into honeycombs. My bf's favorite is the Dear Caramel, which has a caramel drizzle topped with what is reminiscent of dalgona coffee bits. The milkshakes here are also a solid choice. While I'm still sad that my favorite and closest Honeymee location in Garden Grove closed a couple of years ago, the Irvine location is pretty reliable in terms of consistency and service.
The ice cream shop is conveniently located within a busy Asian shopping complex, making it an easy stop while in the area. Since this is an established chain, I was already familiar with the quality of the ice cream, and the product itself did not disappoint. Unfortunately, the service at this particular location could use improvement. There were mistakes with both our order and the payment, which required the ice cream to be remade and the transaction to be processed again. Mistakes are understandable, but I was surprised to see an employee forcefully throw the incorrectly prepared ice cream into the trash in front of customers. The way the situation was handled came across as unnecessarily unprofessional. One feature I really appreciated was the small plate attached to the cone, which made it much easier to catch drips and avoid a mess. Overall, the ice cream was good and the location is convenient, but the service experience fell short of what I would expect from this chain.

It's still enjoyable, but it doesn't have the same dense, creamy consistency that I remember, especially during the height of the pandemic when it seemed to be at its best. That said, the Darling is still a classic menu item, and the honey flavor remains unique. I keep coming back partly out of nostalgia and partly because there still aren't many places that offer quite the same combination. I just miss the richer, creamier version that it initially had and hope that the recipe will change for the better.

The soft serve had great flavor and was super rich and creamy. But the last few times, something has felt off. One visit, the soft serve tasted so watered down that I could barely taste the flavor. This time, it tasted more like whipped cream than actual soft serve, both in texture and flavor. It's honestly disappointing because I came here 6-7 times when they first opened and really enjoyed it. Not sure if the recipe changed or quality has become inconsistent, but it just doesn't taste the same as I remember.
Consistently good... Came here after dinner at momo paradise, and can't complain. Got the honey ice cream with the drizzle and cornflakes, and it was creamy and perfectly sweet. Friends also got the coffee Oreo shake, and that was amazing. Coffee flavor was strong without being too artificial. Place was clean and staff were nice.
It's been a while since I last visited a Honeymee, and this trip brought back a lot of great memories. I still love that soft, smooth, and rich milk flavor. The texture is perfectly creamy without feeling too heavy. Service was fast and efficient, and everything came out just as expected. It's the kind of place that delivers consistency, which makes it easy to come back to. Definitely a spot worth revisiting when you're craving something simple and satisfying.
I love their soft serve more than anyone else's including SomiSomi. Just getting their plain vanilla in a waffle cone with a drizzle of honey (or not) is peak confectionery perfection! The quality is impeccable and decadent. It tastes closer to actual ice cream than any other soft serve. Service is fine. Ambiance is still all right. There is a dumpling house and Ranch 99 and Kaju Tofu in the same plaza, so there's lots to tastefully enjoy!

I ordered the lavender milkshake today because that used to be another favorite order of mine. My only minor complaint is that I'd have to echo another reviewer that the milkshake wasn't filled to the top of the cup which is a bummer especially since the drink is $7.45. While the flavor and consistency was still perfect, I hope they end up fixing their measurements so that we get what we paid for. Otherwise, they have a cute small interior with some limited seating. They also sell honey some there. Barely any wait so I got served my drink quickly.
The menu has changed a little since my last visit, so I decided to try the Matcha Affogato. It looked so good when it arrived. The creamy soft serve, rich matcha, and honey sauce melted together and tasted amazing. Every bite was smooth and full of flavor. I really enjoyed it and would definitely order it again. It's the perfect treat for a hot summer day.
Pretty good sweet treat in a pinch. I think the honey drizzle is a little gimmicky. I think if they used honey as their primary ice cream sweetener it would be more on theme.

It was so amazing that I finished the entire thing and I never usually finish my ice cream because I get too full but I literally couldn't stop eating. My friends and I sat inside, it's really bright and there were a few small tables. It's right next to Heytea and the best part is that it's just as good but there's never a line!

Got the affogato milkshake and it was delicious! I added Oreos on top and loved the combination. We also got the chocolate drizzle ice cream, which was really good, although I wish the portion was a little bigger. Was a little disappointed that they had run out of matcha since I wanted to try it, but overall everything we got was tasty and I'd definitely come back! read more

Get a Matcha Sweetie Honeymee! Service was lightingfast. This is one of my favorite dessert places because the honey spread crystallizes with the frozen matcha ice cream. There's seating inside too away from the heat! read more
really good soft serve. the store is right next to hey tea so it's pretty popular. i've tried their matcha and original soft serve with the honeycomb and it's all pretty solid. i would recommend just getting the honey drizzle because the honey comb can be hard to swallow and the more you chew it the waxier it becomes. read more
Honeymee is located in a busy shopping plaza as it's surrounding by lots of other businesses. They have a couple of tables for indoor seating. I ordered the honeymee which is some of their ice cream with a chunk of honeycomb. It was a nice little sweet treat, I'd like to come back and try some of their other flavors. read more

We came around 8PM debating on what sweet treat to get in the area and chose here! There was a kiosk for you to order or you could order with the cashier. There was also limited seating indoors so more so a grab and go situation if there aren't seats available. We ordered the matcha honeymee and the brown sugar boba ice cream. Both were really delicious although would have loved if the syrups were more infused in the ice cream. read more
It's been yearsss since I had Honeymee. It used to be my go-to in college. I randomly came across this location last week and am happy to report that the soft serve is still the same - silky smooth and not too sweet, which is the perfect base for the honey or any other toppings. This time, I actually gave the yuzu affogato a try. The yuzu sauce was a little overpowering and quite sweet. After trying a few items over the years, the honeycomb soft serve is still my personal #1. This location is quite small with a few seatings, but bright and clean. I am absolutely obsessed with this place. My go to's are the honey comb matcha soft serve and the salted chocolate milkshake. This place offers so many options. The place is always clean and staff are courteous. It's always a must dessert spot when I'm in Irvine! read more

it's been awhile since i've had honeymee, so i was impressed that the soft serve was still really good! they have added on a lot of new flavors since i've been, and i tried out the yuzu affogato which was a vanilla based soft serve topped with a yuzu syrup and had corn flakes on the bottom. the tartness of the yuzu paired really well with the sweet vanilla, and the corn flakes added a nice crunch! this was a really good and balanced sweet treat, and definitely big enough to share it was decently crowded for a random tuesday evening, but service was really quick and efficient. there are a few tables and chairs to sit and eat, but it fills up pretty quickly since the shop is kinda small. read more

I love Honeymee! It has been consistent the past few years and I feel like the price is reasonable for what you get. My favorite ice creams are the yuzu, the carmel, and the plain. I think that it is worth it after a filling meal. There are usually younger people running it, but they are very polite. read more

My experience was good this time. There was a nice, efficient lady working at the counter. The store is clean with few tables and chairs as before. Our ice cream came out fast. They also added tons of flavors that somehow weren't available on delivery apps. I've ordered through delivery apps a couple of times from this location but they only show sttandard flavors. Their ice cream is still as nice and not too sweet. I ordered the Dalgona flavor this time, which tasted like coffee chips on the milk ice cream with some sort of caramel/ honey swirl. It was good but not as special as I had thought. Con: no Loyalty card was suggested so I didn't accumulate any points for these ice cream. read more
Honeymee is a very popular ice cream chain, and this spot in Irvine has been a staple for years. I came recently and was surprised to find it pretty empty. The service was still fast and friendly. I enjoyed the space and cleanliness of the place. The ice cream also remains delicious, although it is definitely quite pricey for the amount of ice cream you are getting. The honey on the ice cream is always delicious. Honeymee remains a great option, but the price has definitely made me more hesitant to get it often. read more

Have been wanting to try Honeymee for forever and it was so good! I got their plain cream with honey and additional corn chips. Getting the honey was definitely the right move--it's thick and adds a perfect flavor to the plain ice cream, which is also super thick. I added corn chips however there weren't very many, so I didn't really think that was worth it. Note that they also leave the middle pretty hollow. This location was super small with only 2 tables inside, service was really fast though. Overall I really liked the taste of this place and will be back if craving thick ice cream! read more

First time here! I came here for this Sweetie. I heard how good this place was, and so I spontaneously wanted to give it a try since I live very close to this place. The honey and ice cream was sooo delicious! I couldn't stop eating it until it was a gone. The lines was confusing because it has a busy line for HeyTea and then there was a line out the door for Honeymee, but no idea why it took so long just to order. I went inside and notice people were kinda chilling near the kiosk, so others outside waiting really have no idea that people inside were holding up the line. I suggest staff try to monitor this, to promote sales if customers are going to be making it a issue of letting other customers from ordering. I was almost discouraged to wait in line for ice cream, but glad I had walked in and talked to staff and she helped me right away. It was busy inside. Staff that helped me right away was so sweet and made me happy when I got my treat immediately. That was great first time experience and I will be inviting my friends to come here with me. read more
