I've been going to this Peet's location for years now, and it never fails to impress. I know Peet's is a chain, but this location has a very local feel and the barista's are fast and friendly. I've noticed they remember customer's names and orders, which is nice to see. I switch up my order often, but you really can't go wrong. Their coffee is strong, but also has a very significant taste that makes me come back again and again. If my order has ever been made incorrectly (I can only think of 1 or 2 times out of the many times I've gone), they will re-make it without hesitation. The inside area is a little small, but there is a large outdoor patio with seating. They also have very good pastries at this location. The blueberry muffin is delicious, and the oatmeal has great topping options. Even after a year in Seattle, I still missed Peet's. read more

I drink Peet's often and this location's take on execution leaves a lot to be desired!

The Orchard Hills shopping center is so remote that you have to wonder if anyone shops here but they do. I made my way to Peets to meet up with a colleague and got my usual masala chai latte. I like how Peets serves this up. It feels authentic and it's not sweet like the other coffee houses. It's a little bitter and I love that. However, this location made it a bit too foamy for my taste. I could barely get to my actual latte without having to break through the thick wall of foam. Seriously? I know it's a latte but most of my lattes are not so foamy. This was a bit much. Maybe they just didn't know how to make it or it was an off day but either way, it's a bit disappointing when things don't live up to your expectations. Either way, customer service is great here. Everyone is so lively and friendly. This is also a decently sized location. Plenty of seating indoors and out. read more

Always very friendly, efficient. Coffee is always fresh. Store is always neat and clean as well

The pumpkin coffee is the best compared to other competitors. The staffs not only are professional, they are also very considerate for their customers! This afternoon after a long walk, I initially ordered 2 hot pumpkin lattes for my parents. I later found out my father wanted iced latte. I then asked for ice. The lady staff first gave me a cup of ice with lid and straw. While I poured the coffee into the cup with ice, she came out and offered an iced pumpkin latte for free. We were overwhelmed with their thoughtfulness. We haven't e experienced such a great service for a very long time. Many thanks to the kind staff; she definitely bright up our day! read more

*Update* Peet's was apologetic and offered to ship us some freshly roasted beans to be delivered by the end of the week. Much appreciated! I am usually the first one to give Peet's coffee a great review but tonight was somewhat disappointing. So I guess this location closes at 8 pm on Sunday night, we are used to other locations closing later. We walked in right as it was turning from 8 pm to 8:01 pm and when we walked inside (customers were still lingering and no closed sign on the door) we were told they were already closed. We were shocked and asked if we could just pick up coffee beans? The girl said no, I've already closed all the registers. Wow, they must have been trying to bolt it out of there, I guess understandably so. Meanwhile the closest Peet's to us is a 1/2 hour drive one way in any direction but we make the trek to get coffee beans from Peet's and it was a bummer but clearly our fault for not knowing their hours. Make a note, this Peet's location closes really early! read more

*Reviewing the Study Environment* I can get a lot of work done here, but seating is limited. They have 3 small tables that seats about 2 people each, one larger handicapped table that seats 4-5 people, and a limited booth area with about 3 tables. If you don't come before 9:30am there's a good chance you won't find seating. Luckily, there are plenty of tables outside where you can study too. It just won't work for rainy days. Pros: - Tucked away on Portola so the crowd here isn't nearly as crazy as some other coffee locations in central Irvine. - Friendly staff. - Coffee is always perfection here. Unlike Starbucks where I get a burnt cup every once in awhile. - I love their Chai Tea Latte. They use real tea leaves and some chai extract to make the latte. Delicious, especially on chilly days. - Pumpkin scone... much better than the one at Starbucks. - It's a really quiet place to study in the afternoons! Cons: - If you don't come before 10am, there's a good chance you won't find seating indoors. The housewives of Orange County (not the TV show) like to come in the mornings and chitchat with their gal pals. Things start calming down around noon though. I bring earplugs to drown out the noise. - For some reason, this Peet's likes to play their music REALLY loud. If you like to study with music then this might work for you, but I prefer more subdued background noises. - Limited pastry selections. It's definitely dismal compared to Starbucks. I wish they offered breakfast items or some sort of substantial food besides sweets. read more

I love this Pete's location. The baristas are always friendly and fast. They store is clean, there is generally plenty of tables to sit inside or outside. Overall, I am satisfied with my experience and would recommend this place. PS. I have their seasonal maple latte, it's delicious:) read more

I love peets. This review is about their service. This is at ~4pm on a weekend. Place is packed with people reading, studying, and of course, ordering. barista #1 - servicing a lady for over 5 minutes. That lady is just quite annoying constantly not sure what she wanted to order. Her bill has ballooned to over $65. Barista #2 - Keeps saying: "Sorry for the wait, we'll be with you...", then helps Barista #1 with the lady's coffee order. Line of 3 becomes line of 5. Barista #2: "Sorry for the wait... " - Stop talking about it, let Barista #1 deal with her own customers and start Ringing more customers! I get to finally order my coffee with Barista #1. Barista #2 is STILL working on the original lady's order. NO one is making the specialty drinks for the other customers! Horrible system. I'm glad i just got a drip and left. read more

I have to say, I wasn't a big fan but I've gotten coffee here twice recently since it's on my way to church. I downloaded the app so a free drink after you make a purchase. They do not over do it with the syrups for my white chocolate drink. For a large it only has 3 pumps& I even went down to 2. It was perfect. You don't want to know how many Starbucks uses and I have it and it's still too sweet. I will be back when I'm in the area. read more

I really love this Peets Coffee location! It has a large lobby with lots of seating. They are also located in a shopping center with great outdoor seating (it's heated at night and well lite outside!). They have a great menu with hand roasted coffees from their artisan roasters. My favorite drink here is just a vanilla iced latte- but I'll also often enjoy their cold brew iced coffee. I've been helped by multiple baristas here- who are all extremely friendly with great tips on beverages if I feel like finding something new. I can always count on getting a drink I will enjoy here at anytime of the day. It's a good place to study/ enjoy with reliable wifi as well! read more

Peet's Coffee - Iced Vanilla Latte for me, and a cappuccino for Jenny! - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Irvine, California

My wife loves their Americanos. Hard to screw up, I know. But really it's about service. If you live in the Northpark area, you have three choices for brew; Starbucks on Irvine Blvd and Culver, the Starbucks in Pavillions, and Peets. Peets beats the other two hands down. The wait is typically half the time. It's wonderful to just walk here and get a coffee and walk back home. If my wife gives it the thumbs up, so do I. read more

Just went in and got some pastries because my sister brought some home 2 days ago and hey were really good. "Unfortunately"what made those pastries good the last time was that I didn't go buy hem my self. Reason why I am saying this is because their customer service. It appears that my wife caught the cashier making faces and rolling her eyes as I focused on the selection of the pastries and made my decisions. "Unfortunately" again I didn't see that. As soon as my wife said I don't want anything anymore it shocked me. That's when she told me what she saw from the cashier.... apparently she rolled her eyes and made faces that were disrespectful as I focused on the pastries behind the glass and told her what I wanted. Sorry Pete's coffee don't think I will go back. Customer service is what brings me back to business as a customer. Specially if their product is great read more

This store is surprisingly good, especially for the outdoor sitting area. (Just reminds me some pretty good coffee spots in Europe) It's really nice to have a cup of coffee with a chat with your friends, or even surfing the internet by yourself. 11 years later, my gal is my wife, a new dog, and I still like their coffee and the seating area. They had the greatest raspberry scone, but the pastries were sadly all changed several years ago. Where ever there is peets I'm good. It differs from a lot coffee chain places as its higher quality and more fresh. The late part is my fav because Peets have almond milk which other spots might not have, but I'm sure Starbucks don't carry almond milk. Bottom line. You can't go wrong with peets read more

Peet's Coffee - Beautiful day. Outdoor seating and good coffee - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Irvine, California

Worst service I have ever had. Always seems like the baristas are in a terrible mood. One of the barista girls was trying to convince me to not buy or drink coffee because it's apparently not good for your pineal gland and she was making herself seem like she was this perfect vegan and putting herself on a pedestal as if she's too enlightened for anyone's good, and better than the people coming in for coffee etc....I found it's extremely rude & decided I will not be back again..left a bad taste in my mouth, and lost a customer. read more

Always a Peet's Coffee & Tea fan! They set up a whole experience when you walk into their cafes - warm, inviting, homey, cozy and studious. Majority of the locations have ample seating for conversation and study. Their coffees and teas are of utmost quality. They have in house beans that can be freshly ground to take home. Their offered beverages are creative while at the same time sophisticated and classic. Always good service, too. While I appreciate the quality of smaller franchises I do wish they would open up more stores. I've personally messages corporate for a location in Chino Hills, CA!! read more

The seating makes no sense at this store. They have 4 small tables sardined together up against a small wall, leaving the rest of the relatively large store completely empty and unused. Not Covid/germ friendly at all. Inconvenient for folks who need to get work done or study. read more

The customer service of this place is.... Wow, the guy mustn't have known but he literally changed my whole day that I was having. I'm definitely coming back here whenever I'm in the area. read more

Waited 15 minutes for my online order then asked about it. Turns out I had not completed the order. My bad. The guy behind the counter was kind enough to offer to pour it right away. That was niceness was quickly cancelled by barista who said I need to wait. Too bad nice can be cancelled so easily. Milk? Had to go back. Same barista- not nice tone. She must be stressed. That's got to be a tough job. read more

I have and always will love Peet's coffee. This location in particular is one of my favorite coffee shops. The baristas are always so nice and most of them remember my order which is always a nice touch. The reason I gave this a 4 is that the inside is kind of small. However, they do have a large courtyard in front with a fountain and the seating is very comfortable. read more

This Peet's Coffee is located in Orchard Hills in the food court area. There were a medium number of people there, but the wait was not very long both for ordering and for waiting for one's drink. They were very nice and accommodating for the request of one of my party members. There were lids and cocoa on the sugar station as well. It is close enough to the fountain to collect items from the PokéStop while inside. read more

First, the coffee is pretty darn good. None of that gritty tasting, bitter, acidic tasting stuff that you find in some of the other chains. Even the iced coffee is smooth flavored. If you don't like coffee, their teas are really nice. The selection is pretty good compared to most coffee places. The food is okay, some choices better than others and they're the only place in the area that stocks my favorite chocolate dipped Madeline's! read more

Peet's not only has a great product, they have excellent customer service at this Orchard Hills location. When I was here today with one of my girlfriends and we both wanted to order the jasmine lime tea cooler, the woman behind the counter offered us samples first, just to make sure we liked the beverage before purchasing it. Wow! That would certainly never happen at Starbucks, at least not in my experience. The atmosphere is very nice, the store is clean, and there is indoor as well as outdoor seating. I really enjoyed my drink and will definitely come back to Peet's! read more

Running errands for the nursery this weekend put us near this center. It reminded me of almost any of the new centers you'll find in Irvine... same building styles, same colors, same shops. It was my first time there, but I felt like I had been there before... As for Peet's, the shop was nice, staff was friendly and attentive, and the coffee was nice and mild. I haven't kept an eye out for Peet's, and apparently I live within walking distance from another location. Nice! Definitely a nice alternative to Starbucks. read more

My first visit to this location was very pleasant. My local Starbucks was closed for repairing, and this was the next best thing. A hidden gem if I may. Beautiful seating on the outside, and as well on the inside. I walked in and was immediately greeted by a young gentlemen. He told me I was beautiful! haha Got a good salesmen right there. He explained the menu, and recommended some things which made it easier for me. The atmosphere was very laid back. I'm use to loud baristas, and heavy chatter. But this location was very chill. There were a good amount of people sitting around. The wifi was very hassle free to use. And the facility was clean :] I will definitely be coming here from now on. Sorry Starbucks. read more

Peets Coffee and Tea is a upscale snack and drink place located in the sprawling District complex of shopping center . There is plenty of seating and free internet access. People were comfortably sipping coffee and working on their laptops. We ordered spicy tea as this had been described as the best in the LA area. The teas are essentially of three types the mildest are the white teas, the medium are the green teas and the black teas are the strongest. The tea was served hot and very quickly after the order. It was creamy and the taste was heavenly. Well we found a super comfortable sofa out side and enjoyed the mild weather and the sunshine outside. It was a awesome experience, a feeling when time stops and words are flowing like the river. Peets is number one for spicy Tea ahead of all the competition who are left in the dust. read more

I'm an avid coffee fiend. In fact my Quicken states I gave Peet's Coffee Corporation $2,750 last year - holy crap. So needless to say, i know a thing or two about Peet's Coffee. This particular location is super inconsistent, leaning toward being bad a lot of the time. I live right across the street from this location, and yet i drive to the Tustin location if i plan on getting anything other then plain coffee or bulk beans. Stay away, drive up to the Tustin location on Irvine & Newport Blvd. Note: Best Peet's Coffee in Orange County is on 17th St. in Newport Beach. read more

My hubby and I were in the neighborhood looking for Starbucks and came across Peet's instead. Never had Peet's before and since we needed coffee, we decided to try it for the first time. So glad we did. Right when we walked in, we were greeted by the lovely ladies working the counter. One in particular, I forgot her name (she's the bubbly, cute one with dark hair) explained their specials and offered us many samples to try. We just decided to get their coffee of the day. It was so good and smooth. If we weren't in such a hurry, I would've asked what kind of brew it was. Overall, their service and coffee was way better than Starbucks. I just wish they opened more locations near where we live so we can go there more often. read more

What a bummer! I was really hoping this place was worthy of 5 stars, but I wouldn't even put 1! Customer service is HORRIBLE!!!! Cashier always has attitude, and the coffee is way too hot! Summary: Unprofessional staff didn't stop talking throughout my entire stay... staff is loud and distracting (and most likely unaware) Explanation: This is my first time (and last, if I can help it) at this Peet's. I am here with a friend who comes here often. I thought it was just me being oversensitive, but as soon as I mentioned to my friend that the staff was abnormally loud, he began to tell me his experiences. He said that the staff is consistently loud and never stops talking; "I know more about her than I care to know". In fact, this is so true that he started to tell me everything he has learned about one of the staff members as if she was an acquaintance of his. For example, she is a religious Christian and talks about it all the time. I take no personal stance or bias on religion, and understand that people have the right to free speech, however religion is generally a sensitive topic that is discouraged in most social settings so I can see how some may be offended or uncomfortable with this environment. I doubt the staff members mean any ill intent with their continuous chatter--they seem like nice people aside from their aforementioned obnoxiousness--however they are seemingly completely unaware of how this affects those around them. I once worked in the service industry, and understand that a shift can get boring at times, but no one should have to sit through a conversation they would otherwise not be a part of. The only reason why I gave two stars instead of one is because they are nice to customers when taking orders. However, beyond that thirty-second interaction there should not be much more involvement from the staff. -Coffee, Interrupted p.s. As I am not fully aware of Peet's philosophy and training it's not my business to directly tell staff how to act; as a customer it is my obligation to make such an experience heard. read more

Peet's Coffee - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Irvine, California

My favorite coffee place in Irvine, so far. I love that this place gives you two shots per latte order and they're so fresh too! I don't find that their coffee is too traumatically hot, and they add the perfect amount of froth! (they can add NONE if you prefer) And if you're in a rush, they even offered to put in sugar for me! Service is almost always really kind and helpful, and they're mighty patient. I love their lattes. Yumilicious! read more

It's a Peet's. It's a Peet's in Irvine. It's a Peet's in Irvine in a cookie cutter shopping plaza. Not very much seating inside and it's pretty friggin cold every time I go. The "line" is something you sort of figure out or make up as you walk in. Cream and sugar island is SMALL and often fairly dirty. Employees are friendly and they have been, for me at least, accurate with orders. Prep time is a bit longer than other Peet's locations but that's okay because you don't come here when you're pressed for time. This is not a fast paced atmosphere. You come here for a pleasant sit outside in the patio area, take your sips slowly, and enjoy the manicured illusion that is the greenery of Irvine. Enjoy! read more
