This is one of my favorite spots to study. It has a ton of parking. Strong internet. Sitting is available inside or outside. The inside is usually pretty cold as their A/C runs strong. Be warned that if you seat inside, you will come out of there smelling like delicious coffee. The drinks are always a hit. I love their Horchata CBO iced latte. It is so good! The black tie is another good one. I am not into super sweet drinks and so these are my 2 go-to drinks where I can actually taste the coffee with just a hint of sweetness. I do ask for half the sweetness on the Horchata one. Pastries are pretty good. I've had their breakfast tacos too and they were actually good. The staff is friendly and attentive. The restroom had a little mess yesterday and the staff took care of it as soon as I mentioned something. I totally recommend this spot to study, work, meet with friends or simply seat outside to enjoy your drink and car or people watch. read more

So I read about how Peet's is closing many locations throughout the USA (I think around 40-60 or something of the sort) and got big time mad (BIGLY as the Donald would say) Like that's straight nonsense. Disappointed in the masses for not supporting. It should be SHITBUCKS or COFFEE BEAN closing down stores. Peet's has always been the goat for mainstream / fairly accessible coffee shops. It's got history, it's got quality, the coffee is just higher quality than many other places that cost around the same if not more. Today I got an Americano with a healthy splash of heavy cream and it's honestly delicious, hits the spot. This particular beverage made today by the evening crew (bunch of sweet lovely gals, which is the norm at this awesome location in culver / barranca crossroads. It's honestly perfect in every way possible. I waited 2 hours in line at Ralph Lauren's new coffee shop and that Americano although very good was not as legit as this one. Absolutely exquisite. If I remember correctly... this location used to be a Diedrich coffeehouse wayyyyy back in the day. I was in the plaza on an early Thursday morning for Target, but was also on the hunt for coffee in the area as well. I had totally forgotten that there was Peet's, because I no longer visit Irvine often, since I graduated college. I am a basic coffee pour over fan (love the Major Dickason coffee beans) and half & half type of coffee drinker, but will venture out to try certain hot espresso drinks, depending on the coffee shop and their menu. When scrolling through Yelp, seemed like a lot of Yelpers recommended the Havana Cappuccino so I decided to try it out. The taste of the Havana Cappuccino reminded me of a Spanish Latte. I did like the flavors and the nice cinnamon kick. Havana Cappuccino Bold espresso swirled with sweetened condensed milk, topped with creamy steamed milk, and finished with a warm cinnamon kick. Saw a sign that mentioned one could save $0.25 if you bring a re-useable cup. I love that, as I tend to bring a re-usable cup - way better discount than another brand. I do wish that there were Peet's locations near me, in Los Angeles County, but I will most definitely visit when I get the chance. For an early Thursday morning, there was a group of people enjoying their drinks and conversation outside of the store, and there were a few occupied tables on the inside. I love the coffee shop vibe, where it brings the community together. There were also plenty of parking since it was early. Great customer service! I was in quest of a good study spot and I struck gold. This Peet's has great natural light and a built-in counter that seats 4, perfect for laptops/tablets. I'd like to start off with the customer service, the young lady was very nice and welcoming however the coffee was just not it. I got the black tie coffee with extra condensed milk because I like my coffee light and with whole milk instead of the half and half. It's not the location it's just the coffee they use. It leaves a sour taste in your mouth, not even butter but sour kinda difficult to describe but it just wasn't for me. I suppose I'm at fault since I'm in love with Vietnamese coffee I expected a familiar taste. I did however get a pesto danish and I loved that! The nicest people work here in one of the nicest shopping centers in one of the nicest cities: Irvine. I stopped here for a black drip coffee and they did not disappoint. Just 1/3 cup powered me up for a full day at CicloIrvine cycling/walking event. I started searching out Peet's Coffee all over after Starbucks let me down by installing automated coffee machines in their stores in January that make weak coffee now. Glad to get to know Peet! So I walk in there's five girls with nothing to do I go to the first cash register and the girl turns her back toward me so I figure I need to order at the second cash register. The girl takes my order and says it'll be a minute after a couple minutes I go up to the bar and ask her if that's my drink and she says no then she brings someone else's drink out. Apparently that was my drink. All five girls were just talking to each other. They had no desire to work there, including the manager everybody there seemed to be useless on the day. I walked in what a shame because pete has good coffee. I think they should change management at this location. I've never experienced bad service like I did on Friday, May 2 will obviously not go back to that pete I sure hope that their district manager makes some changes read more

I like this place they make awesome coffee. I'm actually surprised how good it is and I like the people that work here. They are very nice. The one thing I have to say, and this has nothing to do with the workers. But charging for whip cream is crazy especially when it's a large franchise Unless you were making your whip cream, homemade from scratch and it's organic fine you can charge me. We've been here a few times and each time has been disappointing. A vanilla latte and cold brew should not be difficult nor taste so bad when they are simple and standard drinks. Nice place to stop by and get some work done (or write a Yelp review). Drinks are great - I picked up a Matcha frappe and can definitely taste the matcha. It was well blended and wasn't icy at all. There's plenty of seating and the tables are designed to accommodate multiple users - bar style seating - which in my opinion, helps maximize the number of patrons you can have - a plus. Much more efficient than having tables that one patron might spread their entire mobile office all over - effectively taking up space that would have otherwise been intended for a small group. Lots of parking - and not timed like other Irvine Company owned shopping centers in the area. Employees are friendly and helpful. Only negative is there's only one bathroom here - which for a coffee shop might not be a whole lot. Luckily, you're near Target and other big name stores. Interestingly enough, there's an active chess scene here - a pair of players were playing right outside my window - so I had a decent view of the game. Rules must've changed since the last time I played though - one player kept touching his pieces, but not moving them - which I was pretty sure was frowned upon in the game. read more

Hands down the best drop coffee of any chain. They make it fresh every 30 minutes. Starbucks is faster and more convenient but they paul in comparison to Peets. The barista's are super friendly at this location. Large dark roast, splash of heavy cream = in my happy place. read more

Ordered a mocha and it was sour tasting. Had chocolate pumpkin bread but it came warmed up 5 min before the terrible coffee was served. It was terrible experience as I'm not used to this sort of service or bad whipped cream. The regular coffee i replaced it with was a weaker blend than I'm accustomed too. read more

Please always double check your drink! I have been ordering coffee from this place for a while, I always order decaf. Yesterday they made a mistake and used regular espresso, after drinking it I stayed awake until 2am, I normally fall asleep every night before 10pm. This morning I told them about the mistake they didn't apologize or offer to do anything to make it right. I am very disappointed about how they treat their customers, I won't be back. read more

Always friendly and seating area is almost always clean. It can get busy inside and out but that's because it's a popular spot in a busy plaza. The employees have always been quick to refill the half-n-half containers and to come out to wipe down the tables. That being said and despite my 5 star review, I really hate Peet's coffee, the actual coffee, not the business. The beans that are used for the normal drip coffees are always over roasted, resulting in burned/bitter coffee. But it's still better than Starbucks. I come here because of the location and the service. I will buy a decent product that is served with a smile rather than a great product that is served with contempt. The medium latte with almond milk was more than $5, and it wasn't strong at all. I didn't feel any caffeine kick in at all. The latte was nothing special, and the barista took his sweet time even though there were multiple customers in line. The drink and the service were both mediocre, and the drink was too expensive imo. read more
