I just paid off my 2014 CRV. I have received 2 notices from Honda Financial Services about a possible insurance refund. One at 30 days & the other at 60. My first approach was to call them repeatedly. I never got a response, so I tried FB messaging. Richard said someone would get back to me. That never happened! I tried a post on FB earlier this week, still nothing! Don't know if there is any money out there. It probably requires a 5 minute call. I have even provided my account number. There is no service after the sale. read more

Bought a 2105 Honda Accord last week from Showcase. Got an email with the exact out the door price before going in. I love that and have never seen that done before. It was a very good price and I was doubtful it would be honored. But, it was honored. No haggle or hassle. Best buying experience of my life. I did pay cash. I am surprised by all the negative reviews. Aaron McDonald was my salesperson. On a side note, if you are being strong armed by a salesman, just walk out. Bottom line it's business and not personal. read more

Dishonest practices in the service department. Tried to pressure me into purchasing certain services multiple times for my brand new vehicle I brought in for an oil change, I kept declining. Once I got past that, I was told my tire was completely deflated from a large puncture...that they removed the object and tried to patch it but we're not successful and cannot let me drive off the lot like it is. I advised them when I brought it in, I had no issues...they kept pressuring me to buy a new tire...rep now changed his story and told me that the object was still in the tire...I advised them I'll take it somewhere else if there is an issue but I know for a fact it wasn't deflated when I brought it in. Rep finally said they'll wrap up my oil change and bring my car out. When the vehicle was brought out I asked where the puncture was and he was not able to locate it....2 weeks later and pressure in the tire hasn't dropped. Shady dishonest service department...be aware! read more

Got a brand new Accord 2020, less than a week after getting the car had MAJOR issues with steering wheel, breaks and lane keep assist. First I was told to be there before the service closed at 6PM. Showed up at 4:30 and was told all service techs were gone but that I could leave the car if I didn't feel comfortable driving, no rental car! The next day called to see the status and was told they were still checking on it. Later at 3:45 received a call from service tech who told me I had to head over to Bell Honda before 4:30 if I wanted to get a rental that day (Like I just sit around waiting for their call?) When I finally got my Accord back it was dirty, completely empty of gas and with over 100 miles on the car from when it was dropped off. Since it's a lease asked if those miles would be deducted from my lease and was told "Can't promise anything"! Horrible experience! Would not recommend. read more

I purchased my car a few months ago and was promised a "we owe you" to fix my windshield that has a leak. It was my main concern when I bought the car and it was promised by Jessica(in sales) and the Manager that they would personally take care of it. Fast forward a few months later and after numerous attempts by phone, emails, in person visits and bringing my car in for service twice I am told that my "we owe" does not exist... even though the windshield was just 1 of 2 issues I had, the other was honored and fixed with the same policy. I was given the run around like a dog chasing my tail FOR MONTHS. I went in to get another temporary license plate because mine had expired, and I was told by the finance department that everyone on my sale team is no longer with the company. I'm truly disappointed with the sales department on how unresponsive and unprofessional they are. The lack of accountability is so unacceptable considering how much money is spent. Now that it is monsoon season this leak in my windshield I was promised would be repaired has become a safety issue. BE CAUTIOUS HERE! Update: I called and left voicemails and did not receive a call back. read more

I was in contact with a Jacob Welty to see an older Prius that had come available on 7/30. I wanted to come to see it today, 7/31, after work. I e mailed Jacob at 3:00 that I would be there at 3:30. He said fine he would have the car ready to see. I left work and traveled a half hour the opposite direction of home to the dealership. I get there and he not only didn't have the car ready but he said sorry it sold 10 minutes ago. So had he gone to get the car at 3:00 like he said he would he would have known it was in the process of being sold. I wastedm was an hour driving time and several gallons of gas for nothing. Very poor customer service - or did he really know the car was sold but just tried to lure me in ? read more

I want to give negative stars. I purchased a used vehicle here and as soon as I drove it off the lot problems occurred. I've had the vehicle for four months. The tire light went off first, I've replaced one tire that had a bubble and two more tires have leaks. The headlight went out. The engine is now leaking oil. I went in to get an oil change and have these other issues addressed, hoping they would give me a deal considering I just bought the vehicle four months ago. They completely refused to service my vehicle!! They blamed it on my blow device. They didn't want to blow into my device bc they were scared of the Coronavirus!! I have no sickness or symptoms of sickness. They sold me a bunk car and refused me service bc of my legally mandated blow device!!!! I do not recommend this business. read more

Dealership review Tl;dr: Business manager named Trey used high pressure and near bullying tactics to try to scare us into buying a Mechanical Protection Plan so we decided to walk away from the purchase of a 2021 CRV hybrid I came with my sister to Showcase Honda on May 29th, 2021 to help her buy a Honda CRV hybrid. We scheduled an appointment for 9:30 and were paired with Amber Fuller as our sales rep. Amber was absolutely amazing and very low pressure when showing us the vehicles we were interested in. She also took the time to make sure the vehicle we chose matched what my sister was truly interested in getting. I highly recommend buying a car with Amber. The entire process of buying the car, including negotiating the price of the car, went pretty smoothly UNTIL we were handed over to the business office. The first gentleman we spoke to tried to sell us a Mechanical Protection Plan (MPP)package for an additional ~4.5K and we told him we weren't interested because of the additional cost and while he was telling us about it I did a quick google search about the protection package and customer reviews were not good. We thought things were still moving along well and were still ready to purchase the car until we were introduced to a man named Trey (who I think was a manager in the business department). Trey again tried to sell us the MPP at what he claimed was the employee rate of ~$2400. We told him we didn't believe we needed it because Honda's are great cars, but he kept PUSHING the package. He claimed that electronics are the first things to fail in cars due to the heat in Arizona. Although this may be true, the way he presented the information to us made it seem like the electronics in the 2021 CR-V hybrid we were planning to buy can and WILL FAIL so we have to buy the protection plan he was pushing at us. If any person who works at any dealership regardless of brand, tells me that the electronics of a brand new car will fail why would anyone want to spend $40k+ on that car?? At this point after arguing back and forth with Trey about the necessity of the MPP package my sister and I decided to walk out of the purchase because of our decreased belief in the CR-V's reliability and the aggressive sales tactic of Trey. One thing to also note is that Trey kept saying "computers were first put into cars in 2013!" suggesting that the technology was so new and fragile that we NEED TO BUY this extra MPP coverage or else we would have to pay thousands and thousands in repair costs. As two people with computer science backgrounds we knew this claim was completely bogus (computers started going into cars as early as the 1980s). We are not stupid people and are aware that electronics fail, but we personally did not want the MPP, yet Trey kept pushing and pushing the MPP such that we questioned the reliability of the car. We were so turned off by his sales tactic we decided to walk out to which his response was to quickly get a store manger (Amir/Ahmit might have been his name) to try and convince us to still buy the car. They followed us out of the dealership trying to get us to buy the car. They went as far as offering to lower the purchase price of the car and give us a better deal, but by that time we were both sick of being pushed and bullied into buying the additional protection plan. The only reason this place is getting two stars instead of one is because of how great Amber was to work with initially. read more

My original plan was to shop at another local Honda dealership, but the other dealership wasn't even willing to try to compete with ShowCase Honda's price for the exact same car. Showcase Honda has the BEST deals! I came in on Memorial Day to test drive and potentially buy. I knew what car I wanted, but also knew the car I would be trading in was a great value for the dealership and for the next owner; therefore, I was not willing to part with it without a fair deal for me. Showcase Honda not only have me an excellent deal on my brand new one, but also gave me a fair deal for my trade in. I am very happy with my shopping experience. read more

Getting into our new Honda went well. Friendly staff and competitive rates. Maintenance department was also great with a professional and knowledgable staff. This despite us repeatedly stating that we are going a different direction, aren't interested and requesting no further calls. Never been harassed this much by a business! I can't comment on what it's like to buy a car from here, but what I CAN comment on: Brought my car in to have a recalled airbag switched out. Making an appointment was easy, and it was done in the time quoted, so that's all good. But man oh man do they try to find some way to make real money off you. First, a bunch of silly concerns about whether my car had regular maintenance or not and hey we just so happen to have a special on that (my car had and thanks but no thanks). But ever since I've been getting calls about trading in my car towards something new. Every time I say no not interested and take me off your list, a week or two goes by and I get another call. (A side pet peeve: first thing out of their mouth is just them asking for you by name. Man, I don't know you, identify yourself first.) Just a few minutes ago I got another call, once again said take me off your list, the guy sounded put out and then I got a TEXT saying confirm you want text messages from Showcase Honda. W-T-F. In summary: if you need a recall addressed at a dealership, you could do worse. But give them a fake number or something. UPDATE 5/11/18: Still periodically get sales calls from Showcase, got the latest just now. As with before: I ALWAYS tell them to remove me from their list, and thus far it ALWAYS means nothing to them. Also, I obviously ignored "Mary S." bizarre comment asking me to call them to discuss this - I want less contact with you clowns, not more. read more

Sales person was great. However, the manager who she had to report to was cocky and pushy. He was not patient. Also, in finance department, they say they want to hurry to get you out the door. It is really so they can push extras on to you. When calling the manager in the used car department, I never received a call back regarding my concerns. I spoke to him and he said he would call back but didn't. Also, left message with someone else for manager to call me and never heard back. I have an Accord, which was purchased here about a year ago. The car is fine, I'm pleased with the purchase. The sales staff, mainly Tim, were fine. They got pushy when I didn't want a bunch of add-ons during the signing of the final paperwork, but a certain amount of that can be expected. I just want to fast-forward to present-day where Showcase Honda really proved that they aren't what a dealership should be. A dealership should always work well between the sales and service sides. Many do. Showcase Honda does not. A month ago, they sent me an email offering a full detail and car wash for $30. Pretty good deal, I bit on the lure. I made the appointment for 10am this past Saturday. They proceed to send me email confirmations from two entirely different confirmation systems that say it's for 8am. While this is hardly the worst thing to ever happen, the incompetence displayed by Hector and Darren in the service department was both befuddling and amazing. Email correspondence from Hector and Darren throughout last week claim they have fixed the appointment time. They didn't. I received follow-up confirmations that all said 8am. Right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing and all that. By the end of the week, I get on the horn and end up speaking with Grant. Apparently, Grant has heard this all before, so he's immediately accommodating and gets me a solid 10am appointment. No more emails to worry about, I've got this guy's word. Saturday morning comes, I get to the dealership, Grant's there. He's not so much for eye contact, but I don't really care. My car is needing a detail, and I leave it there. I go do my thing in the Biltmore district for awhile, and a few hours later I get back to the dealership. My car's still being worked on, Grant says it'll be another half-hour. Not in a hurry at all, that's cool. I walk around the dealership, Diet Coke in hand, watching people. People in the waiting area, little kids playing with their toys, prospective car buyers munching on popcorn and hot dogs watching the sales staff give their best schpiel. 25 minutes into this half-hour, I walk to a back lot which is immediately adjacent to the entrance and exit of the service area. My Accord is there. It's shiny. I walked towards it. Lots of people around. I survey the car, take in the work. Car's noticeably a lot cleaner. Not as clean in all the crevices that I'd like, but for $30, I'm hardly going to be a jerk about it and make the staff redo the detail job. Lots of people are still around. Kind of expected for 2:30pm on a Saturday. My car is unlocked. My keys are in the ignition. With lots of people around. Not kosher, man. I take the keys from the ignition and bring them over to Grant, who is 100 feet away. We get into an argument about "how they've done things", and every chance I get, I'm trying to dispel logic to this young man how people's cars get tend to get stolen when keys are visually available and located in the ignition a whole lot more frequently than when the keys are not so much visually available and located in the ignition. Grant is defensive and not accepting of this logic. He's towing the dealership line, and after about three minutes of exchange, he shovels me off to what appeared to be the service center supervisor, some gentleman named Bob. Bob wasn't having much of logic and reality either. Bob is good though, he knew how to get me off the lot in no time. I guess on that mild side-note, Bob was effective and ending the discussion. Bob runs the service center at this dealership. He refused to accept in any part that service center staff shouldn't willingly leave keys of cars that aren't of the dealership's possession in the ignition, basically aiding them in the potential theft of automobiles where keys are willingly left in the ignition of cars that they could really care less about. I drive off, and that's the last my car and myself will ever see of this dealership if my will has anything to say about it. I get home, and inspect the car again. The detail looks to be about 90% thorough. Definitions of detail jobs do vary from place to place. It's mildly acceptable for all things considered. However, you just don't do certain things when you're giving service to people. Especially people that you may expect to do business with again. At the least, Showcase Honda can get things correct in their reservation system(s). At the least, Showcase Honda can learn how to treat their customer's vehicles with more respect. At the very least, they can appear to care. At the present time and based on this experience, I can sadly submit to you that they do not. ### read more

Had a 2009 Honda Accord that I bought before moving to AZ and had to get some body work done and also return at the end of the lease. I despise going into most car dealerships since salespeople galore try to both swarm you and stiff you during any kind of "deal". This was NOT the case at Showcase Honda. Bodywork was done cheaper than all local estimates I had done and it was done in only 2 days. I was given a courtesy car during that time frame, and they could not have made it more painless. Nobody tried selling me anything else, or making up b.s. things that also "needed to be fixed". In addition, returning my leased vehicle was a painless process and I didn't even get charged for being over in miles from my original lease agreement because my car was in such good shape after three years. I couldn't believe this as I am used to most car places charging you for extras anyway they can. Hope this review helps people who were in my situation no more than a week ago, looking for some truthful advice. read more

Great service managers who make sure your car is done correctly and on time. So far my past 3 years owning a Honda has been a good one.,

Horrible experience. We were guaranteed a price via email, and it was a too good to be true price of course. We also asked for a price break down, via email, of the out the door price, "they don't do that there." Email confirmation of in office appointment asked for proof of military and recent college graduation. Before coming in we asked if not qualifying for these things would change that guaranteed starting price. Aaron told us it wouldn't change. Of course this was a lie. As soon as we sit down the price changes because I don't qualify for these things. Also they put all these add ons to the cars, and charge you for them, stating "these are things our customers asked us for." Ok that's great for them, but I didn't ask for the extra $3000 in add ons. Such a waste of time. Go to Arrowhead Honda...we're they're honest and up front. read more

We came to Showcase to look into purchasing a HRV for our daughter. We were greeted by Jonathan Chiazza with a smile, he was very friendly and professional. He was very knowledge about the HRV, one thing we really like about Jonathan is that he makes you feel comfortable and not pressure (like we had experienced in the past where the Sales person always put a stress on you to buy, buy and buy). Jonathan was very pleasant to work with. Everyone we worked with through this process including Sales Managers, Financing department and auto detail department (basically the whole team) was great. Aaron McDonald is awesome! But unfortunately he's the only person there when you have a problem that returns calls. Poor customer service.

Avoid this place like the plague. Especially if you're looking for a used vehicle. The "service" department should be renamed to the avoidance department. Been in there twice for a zak tek coating issue, they just bounce you around because no one wants to help. Zak tek is a clear coating that is designed to protect your paint. They practically bully you into getting it at the time of purchase. This shit works so well, the paint on my car is fucking peeling off after their second reapplication. Deneen Smeraldo and Roscoe Gist helped me beyond words! I came in NOT ready to buy. I really wanted to do my research and check out a bunch of different delearships before making my decision. This is the FIRST time buying a brand new car so it's a big deal. I had already visited Tempe Honda last weekend and they were nice but not fighting for my business. Right off the bat Deneen said "what can we do to earn your business?" That meant a lot. Made me feel valued and I smiled. Still determined to just See what is available though. She showed me the car I wanted, explaining in detail about the car (something I did not get at Tempe Honda) and then we took it for a drive. She promised me a good price and again asked what would make me take it home today. I was still hesitant and that's when Roscoe came over. He was from michigan just like me!!! We hit it off too and he said he will make it happen for me of getting me a lower monthly payment! Worked some numbers and gave me a great deal! My windows are even tinted!! The absolute worst dealer I have ever been to in Arizona, Phoenix area. I came in with intend to buy a used car from 15k - 20k (included taxes & fee) and I would pay cash (money I borrow from my bank and my cash down which is an "X" number depend on the final purchase). I saw 2 civic which were advertised 13.5k and 14k. I know they would have some extra optional services that cost money but It optional!! They will show the money they want, then try to fool me by playing around with the numbers because they know I have in mind about 7k down. Never discuss and give reasons for the price of that USED vehicle !!! There is a lot of factors that affect the value of the vehicle. They did not even give a reason for their selling price. I walked straight out of the store. A floor manager ran out, pull down my window, and tried to make a deal, at that point, I was done and just wanted to leave. He laughed and told me "I see you are upset, I know it's hard to save 7k". Bruh, I know how to manage my money. We purchased our 2017 Honda CRV last May from Showcase strictly because they had the trim level and color combination we wanted. Like at least one other reviewer reported, our purchase experience was not a pleasant. This was very disappointing given this dealer was and is part of the Berkshire Hathaway (think Warren Buffet) auto group. The sales area is plastered with posters extolling their values, virtues and how they are not an ordinary car dealer thanks to the Hathaway affiliation. Nice copy but my experience says just words on paper. Frankly based on the 5+ hours spent there (if I - will you - etc) when I left I would be hard pressed to say they are any different than the rest of the valley auto dealers. You know as the kind most say they would never ever go there again. Plus this dealer like virtually every other area dealer except for the Penske group, uses bloated addendum stickers listing an unholy list of things they claimed were already on the vehicle - the addendum on our car consisting of 2 packages, it came to an astounding $2,298.00?? The "Protection package was $1,599.00 and it included Zak Tek?, Tint (I later discovered was only the driver's and passengers windows),Clear Guard and last but not least Nitro?. The "Showcase package consisted of rock guards, wheel locks and a cargo tray was listed as $699.00. Thus the total of $2,298.00. But this review is about the first service, which thankfully was included with the original sale. I had an appointment, they met me promptly and soon the car was whisked off for its first service. So far so good. While browsing in the customer lounge I purchased a sunroof wind deflector from the parts department and asked if it could be installed while my vehicle was there. It was installed, and when the vehicle was returned to me, and I opened the drivers door, my heart sank because there were three very large grease spots on the "Ivory" fabric driver's seat. I immediately pointed them out to the service advisor, I got a bit of attitude "like are you sure those weren't there before"?? Reluctantly the vehicle was taken somewhere and an attempt was made to get the stains out. Upon its second return it appeared they got about 80% of the stains out. The elapsed time from arrival to now was close to 3 hours, in exasperation I elected to cut my losses and take the car. Once home I used a mild cleaner and a toothbrush to get the grease stains out of the seat stitching as well as going over the still visible stains which once the seat dried the stains fortunately were gone. This was our very first and will be our last utilization of the Showcase service department. read more

I am writing about the service center. Everyone warned me not to go the dealership because its overpriced. I have a 2001 Civic with low mileage for being so old. I have found their prices are quite competitive (in fact, my last repairhere was cheaper than an independent friend with a car shop) and the speed of service (plus free rental car) cannot be beat. My service person is always Tom, and he is very nice and seems honest. However, during oil changes and repairs, a salesperson will try to poach you out of the service area and try to sell you a car or the used car buyer will come try to buy yours. This happened about 1 in 3 times. It's annoying, but I guess expected. read more

I am not sure whether to give this a 1 or 2 star, so let's say this is really a 1.5 star review. Overview: My wife and I had decided to help buy her son a new 2014 Honda Civic. The Good: The woman on the phone was very helpful, lined up the car we wanted and gave us a clear detailed quote. The salesman at the dealership was very helpful and professional, nothing buy good things to say about him. We got the car we wanted for the price that was quoted and at good financing. The Bad: After mostly a very good buying experience, we went to sign all the papers with the finance guy.......................this is when the whole experience BECAME A DISASTER!! DON'T GO TO THIS PLACE!! Showcase Honda uses a fast talking, hard sell "thug" type of guy that will try to sell you everything under the sun. He used every intimidation technique he could, even bad mouthed the Honda warranty as being worthless so we would be his additional warranty. After pushing us numerous times to buy, I asked him politely to "not waste our time anymore", and he became even more aggressive, but fortunately I stood my ground and did not buy any the garbage he was tryng to sell. THIS TRULY RUINED OUR NEW CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE. WE ARE VERY DISAPPOINTED THAT SHOWCASE HONDA USED THESE TECHNIQUES!! Finally, as we were walking our of the dealership to leave, I noticed a couple of competitor's vehicles parked in front of the dealership with signs pasted all over them bad mouthing many things about those vehicles.................sort of reminding me of trashy political commercials.................a dealership of "good character" just would not do something like this. In conclusion, I feel we got a good product at a good price, but am totally turned off by the dealership. We will not return. read more
