    Warranty Contract that wasn't properly went through with me when sold to me

    I bought a used 2017 Mercedes-Benz C63 S AMG from Acura North Scottsdale in September 2025, and it came with a third-party ACPO warranty they sold me as comprehensive powertrain coverage. The sales process was smooth, but three months later, the engine catastrophically failed due to a fractured spark plug damaging internal parts (pistons, cylinders). The repair estimate at Mercedes-Benz of Arrowhead is over $75,000. The warranty denied the claim under a fine-print exclusion (#16: "covered part damaged by non-covered part"), which was never clearly explained during financing. It felt like a bait-and-switch-- they emphasized engine protection but didn't highlight how easily it could be voided. When I contacted the dealership for help, they passed the buck to the warranty company and couldn't assist due to privacy policies, leaving me stuck with an undrivable car. I've escalated to the Arizona Attorney General, BBB, and Mercedes-Benz USA Executive Referral, but the lack of support from Acura North Scottsdale has been frustrating. If you're buying used with a warranty, double-check the exclusions and consider going elsewhere. The car was nice while it lasted, but the after-sale support fell short.

    Everything went pretty good as I purchased a used car. Brandon was a nice salesman and there is really no haggling anymore. Try using True Car and extra discounts will be available. Only issue was they never told me how to pay them, which you would think would be important to a business. We were 5 minutes from a real disaster.

    I am a bit of what you call a car addict, constantly on the hunt for the next big thing. I have purchased roughly 25 vehicles over the last ~14 years and my recent interaction with Jackson Oates at Acura North Scottsdale might be the best experience of them all. I drove up from S Chandler on Friday late afternoon, no appointment, etc. It was relatively busy, we connected briefly and once things settled down started chatting about the 2025 MDX, the leftover 2024s and our mutual interest in a variety of vehicles. Fell in the love with the '24 Type S Advance, we spent a few minutes going back and forth with the Sales Manager (shoutout Matt) and ultimately settled on a deal that worked for both parties. Finance was breeze (shoutout Trevor) especially with their electronic desk setup. Jackson was the ultimate professional, answered all my questions and treated me like a relationship, not a transaction. In a day and age dominated by the internet, social media and misinformed buyers, it was a refreshing experience up north and I look forward to working with Jackson and Acura North Scottsdale going forward. In less than 2 years, my oldest children will be driving and I know exactly who I will call!

    Just purchased my car from Acura North Scottsdale and had a great experience! My salesman Alex was helpful and straight forward, addressed any concerns I had, and sold me a beautiful pre-owned 2017 Nissan Sentra. This was an unexpected purchase due to a car accident and he made the process easy, enjoyable, and stress free! I really appreciate the no pressure relaxed environment at this dealership. Thank you so much for getting me into a new (to me) car in my price range and making a stressful experience a positive one!

    Finally able to leave a review after having the car for 7 months awaiting my daughter's 16th Birthday Surprise! She had a great Birthday and loved the car. As for the dealership....Brandon was excellent, quick communication, super easy to deal with. Emailed and spoke on the phone several times and then was able to fly in, check the car out, pay for it and drive it back to SoCal without any issues. I recommend the dealership and definitely Brandon! Couldn't have went any smoother.

    Great experience. Don our salesmen was great and friendly. Overall stress free purchase for my 21 RDX. Everyone was so nice and didn't give attitude or push on add ons or insurance. I did have an issue that the vehicle was scratched in a couple spots when I purchased it but Don said that I can have service take care of it. Service did what they could to fix the scratches and I was greeted by Matthew a manager and he was so friendly and said that if I wasn't happy with the results they would buff it up again. This is how I like to be treated at a dealer. Thanks guys, I'll definitely get my next Acura with you! PS: Don't go to Acura of Peoria, even if it's a drive go to Scottsdale, they will treat you better and better price.

The gentleman running the service counter in the front office was no longer employed when I came back. When they told me the problem- they said the right front strut was bad. I ordered the new part and he had communicated They would install the part. That was a inaccurate and that's an example of why he was not there or employed anymore when I came back. However, the part was not bad he had diagnosed incorrectly as a failing part. It was a completely different problem. It was a valve in my air compressor that was failing and they failed to find or diagnose the actual problem. They wouldn't install the part when I brought it to them after they diagnosed it incorrectly - I ordered the new part because they told me it was bad and it wasn't so I'll be returning the party and getting my money back for that as well. . Basically I came to the conclusion, they did not want to deal with an Air Ride suspension system at all and they didn't have or know how to diagnose the Air Ride failure correctly. To be fair, very few repair shops want to deal with these air ride suspension systems. They're complicated. They will be good for other things, but there are some things, They just can't handle it; it's outside of their realm of speciality.

He was on time, professional, and clearly knew what he was doing. He explained everything in a way that made sense, didn't try to upsell anything unnecessary, and made sure the job was done right. My A/C is now blowing cold again like it should, and the car is running perfectly. You can tell he takes pride in his work and cares about doing a quality job. On top of that, the convenience of him coming to me saved a lot of time and hassle. I'd definitely recommend him to anyone looking for reliable and honest mobile mechanic work.

    I am giving two stars because of the only positives: they scheduled my inspection within a few days…read moreof calling and Justin, the technician that arrived, was very nice. However, I am very disappointed with the level of expertise and outcome of the visit. My 2014 Jeep compass has had the check engine light on for a week, steering locked up last week, and has had delayed clicking start. Justin arrived, I gave him the full history of my vehicle (no problems for 10 years) and the issues occurring the last month or so which prompted the call. He started running tests, even drove the car around to see if he could replicate what I had been experiencing. About 30 minutes into the visit he said he couldn't replicate any of the issues; that's okay, as I mentioned it only happened about 50% of the time. But he sat in my car another 20-30 minutes or so, told me he had to call his boss because he was completely stumped. Not really what you want to hear, but even I started making suggestions of what it could be so he could at least do something for me. At the end of the visit he basically just said "sorry I have no idea what's wrong, maybe replace your battery?"... the only thing he found was a sensor on my engine needed replacement, but it's totally unrelated to the other issues. I ended up having to pay $150 for literally no better idea what's wrong with my car and not feeling any safer to drive it. It was a huge waste of my time and now I'm out $150, and I still had to take it to another shop that already figured out the problem not even 24 hours later. Save yourself some money and go to a real auto shop. I understand that some technicians may be learning or lack the knowledge to dive deeper, but someone should be going with them to assist so your customers aren't left feeling robbed and confused.
