I've purchased many vehicles over the years and normally don't leave reviews, but this experience deserves to be shared. I've been trying to purchase a Tacoma from Camelback Toyota because I've had good experiences with the dealership in the past, including buying my Tundra there. My family has also purchased several other vehicles over the years, including Lexus models from other dealerships, so I'm very familiar with the car-buying process. Unfortunately, this experience has been extremely disappointing due to the way Mike, one of the managers, handled the situation. Initially, Ryan had quoted me $4,500 for a lift and tire package. Later, when I spoke with Mike, he changed the price to $4,875. When I asked why the price was different, he said it was because this was a different truck. I explained that the truck shouldn't matter because I was simply purchasing the same lift and tire package. I also asked whether I could keep my original tires if I purchased the package. Mike told me no and said the original tires had to stay unless I paid an additional $600. This confused me because when I purchased a lift and tires through the same dealership in the past, I was allowed to keep my original tires at no extra charge. I mentioned that I had already called other shops and found the same setup for about $1,000 less, but we were still considering doing the work at the dealership to help protect the truck's warranty. When I bought my Tundra, I was told that installing a lift outside the dealership could potentially affect warranty coverage, so we were trying to stay loyal to Camelback Toyota despite the higher price. Things became worse after I told the salesperson that I wanted to speak directly with Ryan again to better understand why the pricing and terms had suddenly changed. Shortly after that, Mike sent me what I felt was a very rude and unprofessional text message. In the text, he accused me of not taking "small steps" while claiming he was "going miles" for me. He repeatedly brought up the MSRP price of the truck and implied that I couldn't afford it. To be clear, I understood we were negotiating. The truck was listed around $55,000, and I was trying to get closer to $49,000. Ryan had previously mentioned he could potentially do around $52,200, so we were still working through numbers. Negotiation is normal in car buying, but the way Mike handled it was disrespectful and unnecessary. My wife had already left a review a few weeks ago because she also felt Mike was rude during an earlier interaction. We were actually ready to walk away at that point, but we decided to give the dealership another chance because of our previous positive experiences there and because we wanted to continue doing business with them. Unfortunately, this second experience only made things worse. What's most frustrating is the inconsistency between managers. One manager tells us one thing, while another changes the pricing and conditions completely. On top of that, I've tried asking to speak with the general manager so I can show the text messages, discuss the pricing discrepancies, and explain our concerns directly, but no one has provided me with contact information or helped escalate the issue. At the end of the day, buying a truck is a major purchase for our family. We simply wanted transparency, professionalism, and fair treatment. Instead, we were met with aggressive behavior, conflicting information, and disrespectful comments. Camelback Toyota has a large inventory and plenty of opportunities to earn loyal customers, which is why it's disappointing to see behavior like this from management. Disastrous buying experience - do not recommend. I purchased a used vehicle Sunday night 3/15. I told my salesperson that I felt uncomfortable and unready many times but was told the deal was "practically finalized" even before I set foot in the finance office. I got there at 6:45pm and they had me there until almost 11pm. I drive the car to work the next day and I notice a significant vibration when idling, to the point where it was uncomfortable. Additionally, my check tire light came on (later learned it was due to a not full tire) and suuuuper hot air was coming from underneath the car when I was standing outside of it while running. I inform my salesperson of this Monday evening, and they instructed me to take the car into service the following day. So, I have to take off part of my work day to do this. 8am Tuesday morning I show up to the service bay, and they tell me I need to go park my car in the lot and talk to sales as its under their purview. Not a great start. (I was later apologized to by my salesperson for the oversight) They eventually look at my car and claim there's nothing wrong with it except the tire that needed filling up. I was very disappointed that my concern wasn't taken seriously. After two hours I go home, defeated, and do some researching. Turns out that Honda released a service bulletin for 2015 CRV's relating to vibration issues (https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2016/MC-10204266-9999.pdf) I go back in later to bring this to their attention, and also ask what my options are for getting a different car. They first tell me I'm eligible for an exchange, then 20 min later they say that's no longer possible because the deal was finalized and I would have to sell the car back to them. Incredibly disheartening. I will say that the manager who spoke with me was very kind and committed to getting answers for me, which I appreciated. Their offer to me was to come back in for service on Friday (even though I said I could take it in earlier like Weds or Thurs) and they will have a different technician take a look at it. I've spent a total of 6 hours at this dealership so far this week all because I purchased a vehicle, which should have been an exciting experience. I'm writing this review to bring serious attention to my experience and I hope that my concerns will be addressed at the upcoming service appointment. read more

We wanted a brand new car and we decided not to go with this dealership because of how sketchy the deal sounded. 1-Star Review - Worst Car Buying Experience I've Ever Had I bought a used Lexus LC500h from Camelback Toyota sight unseen, and I truly regret trusting this dealership. Jaden (sales), James (sales manager), and Chris (the person who buys the used cars) were the people I worked with. What I was told versus what I received were two very different things. From the beginning, I asked Jaden to send videos of the car and point out any flaws. He showed a few minor blemishes, but nothing major. I was on the fence about the car and made an offer that they declined. A couple of days later, Chris called to try to make the deal. He strongly assured me that the car was in "great condition," that he personally inspected all used cars, and that this one was "really nice." Based on his word, I proceeded with the purchase and put down almost half as a deposit. Before shipping, I asked Jaden to confirm whether the car had Apple CarPlay (some 2018 models do not). He said he would plug in a cable to check. A couple of days later, he told me it did have CarPlay. I also asked if they could wrap the exterior for protection during transport. They said yes. When the shipping company arrived, the car wasn't wrapped at all. When the car arrived, I was extremely disappointed. It had far more flaws than I was told: * Numerous scratches all over the paint * Exterior window trim literally falling out * Center console that would not open * No CarPlay -- meaning Jaden either never checked or flat-out lied * Rear seat lever broken I'm grateful the finance manager, Jean, recommended the extended warranty because I tried to get these issues repaired. But the warranty company denied the claim, stating these were preexisting conditions -- meaning the dealership already knew about them but did not disclose them, even though I specifically asked multiple times if anything was wrong. I called Chris for almost two weeks with no response. I finally reached out to Jean, who contacted the GM, Brandon, and Brandon said he'd make sure Chris called me back. Chris finally reached out, and I explained the issues. The repair quote I received was almost $2,000. The service manager at the repair center said Camelback Toyota could fix these under goodwill since they were preexisting. Chris refused and simply told me I bought the car "as-is," ignoring the fact that they weren't honest with me from the start. His only solution was offering a $300 gift card, which I accepted because it was the best they were willing to do. For transparency: James (sales manager) and Jean (finance) were the only people who treated me well and did not lie to me. Everyone else made this the worst car-buying experience I've had -- and I've bought many vehicles over the years. I also see why they have so many poor reviews. I know the owner usually replies telling people to contact their client manager, Katrina Coscarelli, but I've left her voicemails and emails with zero response. If you're considering buying a used car from Camelback Toyota, please do your due diligence. Ask for everything in writing. Do not rely on their verbal assurances. This is a predatory dealership that uses unethical and immoral practices to try and force you into a purchase. My friend drove all the way from Tucson to come here and signed the paperwork for the car last week on April 28th. He was then told the car was not ready and would not be ready for three business days. Today, May 6th he came back to the dealership after being told the car was ready. When he arrived, they ran his credit again and gave him another hard inquiry and told him there was a problem getting the loan. My friend sat in that dealership for a total of 12 hours across both days he was there, commuted four total hours for this deal that he was told was already set in stone and good to go and was jerked around for a whole week regarding this car. After all of this, they came back and changed the deal entirely. Their entire business model is based around running your credit multiple times in order to prevent you from being able to go somewhere else in order to trap you into a deal. As someone with experience as a dealership employee, this is highly frowned upon and predatory. As this was happening, there was some women there having their own separate issue with George. Their loan also fell through and while trying to return the car he was refusing to let them, stating the deal was still valid. However, since financing fell through, it was not a finalized deal, and he was refusing to return their $4,500 down payment. When George realized they were talking to my friend, he immediately came over and got aggressive with my friend and told him he wasn't allowed to talk to them even though the women had approached my friend. When my friend tried to leave, the internet sales manager George got aggressive and even bucked up to my friend saying, "What are you going to do? Where are you going to go?" This leads me to believe he's entirely aware of this predatory practice and even encourages it. When my friend asked for his name, he refused to answer and even ran back to his office once he realized the conversation and his aggression was being recorded. Untrustworthy. Unreliable. Unworthy of your money. I would not recommend this Toyota dealership to anymore. We have used the Costco Auto program before with other dealerships and had such a great experience. Unfortunately, this one was terrible. We met with their Costco rep and he said he found us the car we were looking for. It was being shipped to another dealership but could be re-routed to them. We showed up for our scheduled appointment with him to sign the paperwork and he wasn't there. So we met with someone else. We wrote a check for $1000 dollars, signed all of the paperwork and were told the car with be in about 2 weeks from that date. We called and they would tell us said it was coming. Then a manager finally told us that it was never rerouted to them. A salesperson told him that she had called us and we said we no longer wanted the car- which was an absolute lie. We never heard from her. Later we found out that they were throwing in all of these EXTRA FEES that were NOT supposed to be in there when you went through Costco. That was the final straw for us. I can see why the reviews are so low here. I had a very unsatisfactory experience with the service department here recently. I had to have my daughter's Prius towed to Camelback Toyota in order to diagnose issues with the vehicle and for a battery replacement. My service advisor was a guy by the name of Chase Jim. He seemed quite clueless and didn't seem to understand basic mechanical issues very well. In addition, they tried to charge me nearly $600 (after tax and their additional fees) for the small 12V battery which was a total ripoff. After I protested, the service manager only offered a very small discount, so I simply declined the service. It appears they saw an opportunity to gouge somebody who was in a tight spot. And this was despite the fact that I had replaced the hybrid battery at a cost of $3000 at Camelback Toyota a few years earlier. Absolutely horrible treatment. read more

I have been taking my car here to be serviced since I bought it about 4 years ago. Was recently in and spent about $800 on services. Within a week or so of the service, the car was having problems. I requested that Jalen the service rep or his manager call to discuss. It's been a week and there has been no call to discuss the issue/a possible refund. I just spent $800 bucks here (and that's just this one service visit, doesn't include all the other services I've paid for in the past) and you can't even call me? Won't be coming back. Tried to schedule a pre-purchase inspection for a vehicle on their lot with Trevor; had an agreed upon time of 11am and when the day came, Trevor was nowhere to be found. After getting started on the inspection at the agreed upon time, like I paid the inspector to do; he was told to leave the dealership and return the keys as another customer wanted to look at the vehicle. I am now out of $300 and after explaining this to Trevor and asking if inspections are allowed, or if the vehicle is on the lot; I'm ghosted. I do not recommend using this dealership for car servicing. They try to upscale you fir everything during your sales appointment. They used to wash your car with your service. They also started to charge you a 3% service fee if you do not pay by debit card. This adds up. I own a business and credit card processing fees are the cost of doing business. Plus, the company can write off those fees when they file taxes. Being pushed to be uphold and then the service fee does not make you feel like a valued customer. The service advisors are nice but even they comment that the service fee is ridiculous. You are not told about the service fee until you go to pay. read more

BEWARE OF TYRANT SALESMAN OMAR. PROCEED WITH CAUTION. Upon arriving, we were greeted by Alex -- a man who apparently skipped every chapter of Sales 101. Instead of asking the normal human questions like "What are you looking for?" or "Have you driven the vehicle yet?" he went straight to the financial interrogation: "Cash or finance?" "Any trade?" "What's your credit?" Relax, Warren Buffett. We haven't even seen the car. Before we could recover from that, Alex gets a call from Omar -- another salesman -- announcing that he had "made contact first" and therefore we were "his" customers. Mind you, Omar had been lurking from afar like a mall security camera, creepily tracking our movements. He then storms over and demands, "Why didn't you come find me??" Sir... we are adults. You are not our mother. We don't check in. Now let's talk about Omar. Omar is, without exaggeration, one of the most aggressively unprofessional salespeople I have ever encountered. The rage behind his eyes alone is enough to make FaceTiming him feel unsafe. I am fully convinced this man is not coachable. There's no seminar, no motivational quote, no corporate handbook in the world that fixes this level of temperament. Andy Elliot cannot even begin to fix this. When I explained that Camelback Toyota's prices were higher than West Valley dealers, his immediate response was, "Then why are we number one in sales." Ah yes -- the international sign of a true professional. A competent response would've been: "I'm glad you're here -- let's see what we can do." Instead, we got ego, attitude, and insecurity on wheels. Then came the gossip. While we compared vehicles from another dealership, Omar began trash-talking the competition like a high school kid. Apparently Camelback Toyota's business strategy includes playground energy. When we finally declined to do business, Omar slammed the car door, let out a groan like a toddler who lost his juice box, and stomped away. Very tough guy. At this point, I'm considering a Better Business Bureau complaint simply out of principle. The dealership clearly employs untrained, uncoached, and unchecked sales staff. And yes -- I've seen management's responses to reviews. The usual "we'll coach this employee" script. Save it. You can't coach this. You either know it exists and tolerate it, or you're willfully blind. Either way, the problem is systemic. If you value professionalism, emotional stability, and not being barked at by a grown man having a public meltdown, I'd recommend taking your business literally anywhere else. I arranged for my mother to buy a car from Camelback Toyota and it honestly was an easy experience with fantastic customer service. Ryan the Manager worked with me on the price and was very fair. Quinton worked on the sale and setting up the car for my elderly mom and was so incredibly helpful and kind and communicative. And Ralph arranged for the payment/paperwork and also was so very sweet and helpful and made the process so smooth. I would 100% recommend Camelback Toyota to any friends/family and if I ever buy a new car, I'd probably drive from CA to AZ to get it if it meant working with Quinton and Ralph again. read more

When I bought the car I talked to 5 different people. Then right after I got the car it started making noise. A couple weeks ago, we tried to lease a 2025 Toyota Tacoma for my daughter and son-in-law, handling everything over the phone and internet since we're in California. My son-in-law reached out to Omar at Camelback Toyota, and after talking things over, we asked if they could deliver the car in case getting there was tricky because of the kids' school and work. Omar checked with someone and came back saying delivery wouldn't be a problem, especially since I was financing the car under my name. Omar gave us a great deal, and Denita from financing was awesome. I spent a couple days looking everything over before finally closing the deal late Sunday. The timing was important--school started the next day and the kids really needed that car. We finished the financing around 4pm, but then the dealership told the kids they'd need to come pick it up--which we hadn't agreed to. At 6pm, with the dealership closing at 7pm, I called Omar and let him know we needed the car that night since the paperwork was done three hours earlier. He said he was busy and couldn't deliver it until the next day. I called Denita to see if she could get the manager involved. She said the showroom was packed, but someone should be able to help us before closing. Pretty soon, Ralph Walters, the Internet Director, called back. He was condescending and just made excuses, blaming Omar (since he came from another dealership) and lied, saying they couldn't deliver cars because of liability issues. That's strange, because other places like Toyota of Avondale advertise guaranteed home delivery! Ralph only offered to send an Uber for the kids to pick up the car the next day, but that wasn't helpful. He didn't do much else except suggest maybe firing Omar if he couldn't get with the program. Finally, he said he'd cancel the deal (which I was fine with) and would call me Monday at noon. The next day, I didn't even want to deal with them anymore, so I emailed Denita to cancel the deal and thanked her for being honest and helpful--she was the only one who seemed trustworthy there. Omar tried to reach out to my son-in-law to say the car was ready. Apparently, this dealership also needs a lesson in communication because they failed to tell Omar that the deal was off. Honestly, it wasn't his fault; the sales team failed him. In the end, we got a better deal from Kim at Surprise Toyota--no hassle, no drama. Looking back, we definitely dodged a bullet. I purchased a used car on 1-12-26. On 2-4-26, the check engine light went on. I had it checked: Catalytic Converter I called the dealership ASAP. Got a 'full vmail' message for the Sales Rep. After more calls that were hung up on, I spoke to someone who identified as the Sales Rep's Manager, who assured me he'd get back to me ASAP. After 3 hrs, I called again, and was transferred twice to someone who told me that he helped me the day of my purchase (even carried my bag back to the waiting area for me), and that I purchased a used vehicle ( which I was told passed a thorough inspection) and that EVEN THOUGH I purchased a $1200 warranty, this item was not covered. He kept saying that the dealership provided new tires for me, like that made a difference. I never requested new tires, only that the tear in the leather could be repaired (which fell on empty ears). Before I left with the car. I was told (and have a male witness), that the car passed all inspections, and had no issues! My final phone call with the man who 'carried my bags' ended with him telling me that I had no recourse. The sales rep finally called me back in the evening. I asked where my Plates, Title, and Registration were. He argued that he gave me my plates and I told him he did not. If you are a single woman looking to purchase a reliable used car, this is not the dealership for you. read more

Bought a car at a horrible price then it wasn't even ready it was missing parts and extremely dirty, said it would take like 2 days, a whole week later we come back and the car is still dirty with stains everywhere, didn't even notice the first time but the rims are all scratched up, front lip thing is missing, paint is all scratched and faded, dent in the hood. Chip in the windshield And then they pay us $800 to just take the car. As they stated "we're paying you to take the car from us" bumper looks like it's spray painted, spoiler looks like it was colored with a sharpie. I found this dealer online through cars.com however, I needed a specific car Lexus NC that I was looking all over the places. I put my information and immediately start getting text phone calls as well. I had a sales person reached out to me and asked me to fill up the application so they can proceed with the finance and check . Therefore, he reached out to me with a specific interest rate then I said OK let's do it. After that, he said. Oh sorry we didn't run your credit before. I was like what about the application that I did online? Is this not a credit check? So start ignoring my messages and not replying for a simple questions. never return my calls. He has been responsive, transparent, and kind throughout the process, and Camelback has gone above and beyond in my estimation with the used car I bought here. If I could give zero stars, I would. We purchased a used vehicle from Camelback Toyota and understood the interior was dirty, but it was obvious the vehicle had never been cleaned when Camelback originally purchased it. As part of the deal, we were told they would detail it at a later date. The follow-through was unacceptable. We were being ignored when we tried to get it scheduled, and when we finally arrived for the appointment, the detailing department said we weren't on the schedule despite Quentin and Paloma confirming they had scheduled it for us. The front counter tried calling them to come speak with us, but neither(Quentin or Paloma)came out. To make it worse, a manager was supposed to call us to follow up and never did. Overall, the communication, coordination, and customer service were below average and very disappointing after purchasing a vehicle here. read more

I purchased a GMC truck from Camelback Toyota that had a window sticker stating it was equipped with power running boards. I relied on that sticker at the time of purchase. After getting the truck home, I discovered the power steps were not installed. When I raised the issue, the salesperson's response was essentially that I had driven the truck. The General Manager then told me the power steps had been removed prior to the sale -- something that was never disclosed -- and again pointed out that I drove the truck. Advertising a vehicle with equipment it does not have, without disclosure, is not acceptable. All I asked for was to be made whole based on what was represented on their own sticker. Instead, I was accused of trying to renegotiate after the sale. When I mentioned that misrepresentation is taken seriously by the state, the General Manager told me to "go ahead and turn us in," stating it would be too much work for me to pursue. That response speaks volumes. I've owned and operated a business in the Valley for nearly 50 years. Mistakes happen -- how you handle them matters. I've had an unfortunate incident with the service department yesterday, March 31, 2026, that I'd like to warn you about. I took my vehicle in for its routine Zektec application. Today I noticed that all my change, that was on a little shelf in my vehicle, was gone! I am the only driver of my vehicle and it was in the closed garage or locked ever since that appointment. Customers expect service employees to leave their personal property alone. That was NOT the case with this dealership. Remove anything valuable from your vehicle if you use Camelback Toyota. Terrible from the very beginning! I made several trips to the dealership Camelback Toyota in one week! Got passed back and forth to several different sales guys. Was shown a vehicle in the showroom and brought a different model completely! I never got my second key my sales guys said he would contact me as soon as it came in he didn't know why it didn't have two keys. My vehicle had no floor mats and was not detailed when I pointed it out to my sales guy he said my floor mats were in the trunk . I told him to check and make sure . He looked and they weren't in there I showed him how dirty the inside of my vehicle was back seat had water stains and pointed out the oil fingerprints all over the grey interior on my door he said to bring it back and he would "make sure it was cleaned properly" . I came back some days later for the second detail and left with my vehicle in the same condition I told the serviceman and he said that was the best they could do! My keys were stolen and I contacted them to see about my second key (btw it's almost been a year and they still haven't given me my 2nd key ) They were SO RUDE and disrespectful especially the sale manager "Brandon" and other management "Brian" absolutely disgusting and useless they're customer service is the WORST !! I will not be doing business with them ever again nor will I refer them to anyone else!!! It was definitely a horrible experience. I went in on March 27 me and my husband, and we sat down with a sales rep. His name was.Hasham And his colleague was Naya. She is all over social media advertising vehicles, but however, they are a scam. There's a Shystie they're sketchy. They're all about money and commission they're not all about the people they're all about helping you. They lied to me. They manipulated the situation that I was in me and my husband needing a vehicle just moving back to Arizona had four kids. I came in there at 9:00 PM didn't get out of there till midnight however I sit down with this man and told him my financial budget. What I was looking for the size of the vehicle I needed for my family and me being scammed out of vehicles in the past of car lot scoring me over. I'm thinking you know Toyota would be a good place to come to. It's a big company. Let's try it. I didn't even think I was gonna get approved to be honest however I know my credit is challenging. It's not the best but if I got approved for $30,000 loan, why is it that this man put me in a Toyota Corolla? The smallest car is on the market a 2026 Toyota Corolla LE told me it had all these features told me that it was fully loaded. It only has CarPlay. It has nothing else. The car is not auto automatic start. It is not have push start. It doesn't have a sunroof. It doesn't have anything very boring very plain. Now, however, I feel like he manipulated and lied and we asked him if he could keep us in the payments between 400 and 500 well however he was so desperate and making his cell in this commission he literally told us. Yes he can keep us around that he takes my $3000 down payment and he turned around and the next day we had to come back in then he states that once we sit down with Julian the finance manager, which is they're all together they're all in cahoots. I look at the numbers. The numbers are higher than what we were told me and My Husband so we're looking at you like no we can't do that. You know like 510 550 like we were told that we were gonna stay at like $500 you know because we were thinking about insurance and trying to include insurance on top of that long story short they screwed us over and now I'm stuck in a alone so I asked them you know can I trade out the car? I don't like the car it's too small for my family. I need a bigger vehicle like I can't do this like there's not enough seatbelts for my children. It's unsafe I went into the office and the salesman guy said that he can help see what he could do whatever I got there. He's promised me he's begging me and promising me that he'll get me into a bigger car six months to 11 months. I'm not understanding why I'm not able to just switch out the car you know why they couldn't accommodate me as being a customer that just put $30,000 that you guys pockets and you couldn't get me into a Camry with those type of payments 605 is what my payments came out to be. They added on warranties that I didn't even know I wasn't aware of. They had me sign on my phone. I was rushed into signing. I was rushed into the process I didn't even have time to read over everything or he didn't explain everything. The bank had to tell me that they added on $4000 worth of warranties. I didn't even know that I never got the paperwork in person. He told me he will mail it to me. I never got it. He emailed it. I couldn't access it because it was encrypted. You know I'm just now able able to access my documents as of yesterday and I've had a car for three weeks now and they're still not willing to help me in any kind of way so now I'm getting legal action involved, but this is the experience that I had and it's a horrible experience is terrible. I truly cannot say enough good things about my experience at Camelback Toyota. I just turned 18, have no co-signer, and very little/no credit history, which makes me a difficult approval as a first-time buyer. I'm currently in school and working, and after being denied by other banks, I wasn't expecting this process to work out. Despite that, the team at Camelback Toyota stayed patient, supportive, and committed to helping me, and the entire experience was handled with care and professionalism. Even though I got to know him more toward the end of the process, he left a strong impression and truly contributed to making this experience smooth, positive, and enjoyable.
