After moving here I needed to find a Mazda service dealer. Chapman was close by so I brought my car here. The first time the service was great and they even gave me a loaner car without even having to ask. The second time I brought my car in they wanted to charge me $500+ for a new battery -- I promptly said no and got a battery from O'Reilly's. Then after leaving Chapman's from the service -- my parking break light keeps coming on. I brought it back to them and they said they fixed it but a day later the lights are coming back on. I brought my car there again and they said they fixed it but no -- lights are still on. Annoying and $700 later. The service guy is very friendly but somehow I feel like I am being ripped off. I will probably still take it there because it is very convenient (I took the car to a place in Scottsdale but it took forever and is not close). read more

Brandon Woods no longer works here but if you happen to read my review and work with him somewhere else. DON'T This review stays cause management was involved during my sale. Brandon should've never brought up leasing my vehicle. We walked in and stated we did NOT want to lease because of Mileage Limits and Dings etc. --Brandon: "We don't do that here" -- Yeah well Brandon failed to tell us that's ONLY if you continue to lease new 500$ a month Mazda vehicles every 3 years. Brandon failed to go over the entirety of the lease, the lease end options, so a 19 year old girl looking to get her first car was bamboozled out of 22,000$ and can only keep my vehicle if I pay another 20,000$. If I wasn't trusting (I was 19 years old and hadn't step foot in a dealership, Brandon was recommended by family) and had caught him on that fine print I wouldn't have walked out with my lease that day. Shame on Brandon Woods and Shame on this location. Edit: To the manager who commented: don't try to make me feel bad about documentation I shouldn't have been handed in the first place. My CX-5 was for due for some "more than oil change" interval service. I was apprehensive because for such type of service, it is best to have a dealership perform it so as not to potentially risk a warranty problem later. Chapman service was totally up front with what needs done and what the service charges were. I showed up and the service team jumped right on it. My car was done in under 2 hours and the charge was $125 under the estimate. Totally satisfied with my experience there and absolutely will return to Chapman Maxda for future service needs. read more

Was given an original estimate (morning of job) of $250 to replace the cushion in driver's seat with actual bill of over $900. No warning or even a courtesy contact about the higher amount just given the bill. Not a way to conduct business. read more

Update (8/1/24) - Vehicle ended up being ALOT more expensive than was fair. I understand my wife not having good credit, history, and no income taxes yet, but it seems like we're paying for a luxury car now, $670 a month for a used 2021 CX-5. I wish I would've known would've done things differently. Now the old vehicle is gone, there's a chip in the new vehicle's windshield, and my wife already drove over 1,000 miles in it. I still appreciate the initial experience just feel something better could've been done in the end. Less 1 star to 4. Thank you. Original review (7/20/24?) - Great service by Arturo, Rob, and the team. They were super respectful to my Spanish-only speaking wife and I. We test drove 2 CX-5s with my wife going for the 2021 with more miles instead of the 2019 with the less miles. I would've done the 2019, but my wife liked how the 2021 drove and felt, plus the color. They gave us no hassle and actually helped us out letting us take the vehicle a little early. These guys are great and trustworthy. I am legitimately baffled at how slimy and predatory this dealership is. I am a 24 year old woman who knows quite a bit about cars. I called in to get an estimate on a water pump, struts, & timing belt replacement and received this insane quote. I asked why and they justified it saying that the labor is $190/hr. Wayne Weihofen, who I spoke with, also didn't include the diag estimate which would be $195 and doesn't even go to the cost of repairs. I audibly laughed out loud when opening this on my email. I would strongly discourage anyone from seeking any sort of car repairs here because this is disgusting to try and take advantage of people who seem like they don't know about labor costs & fair pricing. I drive a 2001 Mazda Miata for context and frequently repair and maintain it. I've been searching for a fair shop for years as predatory mechanics are basically impossible to avoid but this was so obscene and ridiculous, I feel inclined to warn others, especially young women, single moms, and anyone else who could be deemed as vulnerable. I would be beyond grateful to pay fair rates for quality work and cannot stay loyal to a mechanic because they consistently try to screw me over. It's a shitty business practice and unethical. They'll lose money over time acting like this anyways. No wonder car dealerships get such a bad rep. I'm going to an independent certified mechanic and I'm not looking back. I'm highly connected in the car scene as well, specially the Miata and Mazda scene since I go to car meets and race. I will tell every single person I meet, especially women, about this interaction. I am legitimately sick and disgusted by this. When you keep fucking with people, you'll eventually mess with the wrong person. When I purchase a new car, I will also avoid this place like the plague. If I could give a negative rating I would. This is the worst experience I have ever had at a car dealership. We went in knowing the car we wanted. It was a CPO Mazda 3. The prices they have listed on the site are less window tint, etc...so don't trust that price because they add to it when you go in. First Saturday went in and said we would be back the following week. Went back the following week to pay for it in full, no financing and it took over 6 hours!!! they are the absolute worst. Not to mention we were offered a "glass" of water because the owner is to cheap to buy bottles for the customer. Don't trust the reviews because they offer you 2 free oil changes to give a 5 star review. They gave us $500 for our trade in and it is now listed for over $9K online . It broke down before we made it there and we had it towed in. Now they have fixed whatever it was and listed it for $8500 over what they gave us. Buyer beware!!! If my Son wasn't so set on the 2025 I would have taken an uber to the next closest Mazda (who by the way had excellent customer service but not the car we wanted). I could go on and on but I think I've said enough. The contract guy Steve was the most professional and we ended up buying an extended warranty from him even though this dealership is awful. IF you are buying a new car and they don't have a pre owned you can't find or want anywhere else save yourself some headache and go elsewhere. read more

General Manager George Salman and Service Manager Justin Lenocker are dismissive to issues the dealership created. Upon purchasing my car in April 2025 Chapman replaced the windshield due to damages from previous owner. The windshield was installed incorrectly and leaked underneath the dash for months causing $8,000 in damages. I have had to take my car to the service center at least 5 times before they finally fixed this issue. This also included a second repair to my windshield that was done incorrectly again and continued to leak. The third time the windshield was replaced my car was disrespected and I ended up have more damage to the windshield out of pure negligence. Chapman is dragging their feet to replace my windshield the correctly. None of these damages are caused by me, but I am currently left in a worse position then when I started. I went to George hoping for some resolution but was dismissed and not given any respect for these issues his dealership caused. This was also after he didn't show up for our meeting and I had to hunt him down on the other side of the dealership. Rude, disrespectful, and avoidant. read more

We recently took in my 2017 CX-5 for service to a different dealer. They quoted us $3800 for things that the car didn't even need to be serviced, so I went to this dealership that I had had a good working relationship with in the past. Wayne is my favorite advisor, there's no BS and he helps me get what I need at a decent price every time. Half of the things that the other dealership said we needed were not true and the things that we needed for the car the cost came close to $1800 which saved us a couple thousand dollars. I'm thankful for an honest dealership that takes genuine good care of their customers and doesn't BS their way for more pay. Very rude service advisor named Bruce pretty much told me to f off and go take my brand new car back to the dealer i bought it from to have the rattle concern delt with. A very poor and impolite way to treat a customer Go somewhere else for service if Bruce is the only available advisor. I understand its a common warranty concern that may be annoying to see come in so often, but who talks to a customer like that? If youre THAT unhappy with your job sir that you have to take it out on innocent customers, then maybe its time to retire... Someone needs to put this man in check. I brought my car in Saturday morning for a rubbing sound in the brakes (which they replaced just a few months ago) and the check engine light that has come on a few times intermittently. They asked if I'm dropping it off or waiting. I said I'll wait to find out what's wrong with it. He said it's a minimum 1-2 hours because the techs that work on Saturdays are not as experienced so it takes longer. So what he basically said is you get inferior work on your car if you come in on Saturdays. Good to know!! What are working people supposed to do if you work M-F? Do I have to take a day off work to get my car looked at? And then they usually want to keep it 24 hours so youre looking at multiple days off. And if you can't take off work how do you get to and from work? Uber and Lyft are options of course, but then you have that expense on top of the repairs. The only reason I'm giving any stars is because Bruce was very nice and the service tech quickly diagnosed it was brake dust and resolved the issue. read more

I recommend avoiding Chapman Mazda and Amir Fallahi. Amir Fallahi was our finance manager. He is dishonest, condescending, rude and told us he was in a bad mood the moment we went in his office. He added things onto our contract and said they were included or would cost us nothing. Should've known better! When I got home I found out the truth reading through the contract and when I contacted the company to cancel the warranty they said they never received the money or contract. Weird. My wife and I purchased a CX-70 from Chapman Mazda and it was a great experience. Our salesman, Nick Nicholas and his manager gave us no pressure to buy and were very helpful. Nick was great about going through the basics of the infotainment system, taking almost an hour to help set everything up. We didn't haggle on the price, that's not us. Only one somewhat negative experience when it came time to sign and details about the loan and extras. Great rate from Mazda Financing, 3.9%. We wanted to purchase an extended warranty and I think we got a good price on that, but while the finance manager was talking about "extras", the conversation seemed like they were being included in the price of the EW. Shame on us, we didn't look closely enough. Now that everything is done on an iPad, there's a lot of quick swiping and zooming in. Again, shame on us, but not happy about it. THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT: I had previously used another Mazda dealership in Peoria for servicing my Mazda and felt they had not examined my car thoroughly, and, were trying to upsell me part replacements on a car that has very low mileage. I needed to replace an I-Eloop type of battery, which is expensive (which I found out after researching it on the internet). I phoned Chapman Mazda's Service Department and spoke to Wayne Weihofen. He explained why it costs so much and what it does differently than a conventional battery. He was able to fit me in for the battery replacement before they closed on a Saturday, and I also got to speak to a technician about how this special battery works. Wayne showed me a video of them inspecting my car, where they showed the wear and tear but also said I did not need to repair those items yet. They were not trying to upsell me anything. I also saw very dirty air filters in my car that the other dealership completely missed only a month prior. I think Chapman Mazda's service department is a lot more honest than others, and they have great customer service (especially Wayne). I highly recommend them. I just accepted to pay the extra $1,297 " accessories " because was the car that I want to my daughter. Accessories charges that the manager wasn't able to explain and visibly got upset when I asked. Than they don't even know how to do a commercial financing! So they tried their best to have me do under my name ... I didn't accept that because all my vehicles is under my business, I I never had a dealership saying something like that to me. To close a simple deal I had to see 5 guys including the manager and all of them asking the same question all over again.... Two of them actually didn't know the difference between SSN and EIN. They try their best to scam you as well on the rates !!! First with 13% interest claiming that my 700credit wasn't sufficient for a better rate.... Than 12 % , 11% Than guess what, I back up from the deal and went to my truck to go home ! Than they came after me running saying: Ohhh yes we got another option for 6.5%. Wow! from 13% to 6.5% ?
