I knew I needed a new battery, didn't realize it was as difficult to install as it ended up being. I first stopped at the one I usually go to at 32nd st/IS, the poor kid there said he was understaffed and didn't seem comfortable doing it, if he wasn't comfortable I wasn't. Called around to next closest at 3041 N 16th,Phx, Charlie answers and I explained the situation and he took care of everything from there, he got a permanent customer today, I'll drive the extra couple miles to go to that store from now on. read more

As others have said, the customer service here is awesome!! Especially for someone like me that came here frantically to look for valve caps after I found out my tire has been missing it for some time now (and I was 3 hours away from going on a solo road trip so I knew I had to get this fixed ASAP) - yikes. There were only two employees that I saw running the store when I went around 12pm on a weekday, but they were both so helpful and tried their best to assist everyone. I didn't have a severe car problem but if I'm ever in that situation, I know that this location would be a good place to start to look for auto parts & honest opinions. read more

I really appreciate Nico for helping me out and providing great service when replacing my battery. He asked another employee to help me check it initially since he was busy with other customers,and unfortunately, that guy did the bare minimum and then told me there was corrosion on the top and couldn't get a reading so I should buy a wire brush to clean it which 'we sell inside' so I did and then went back out by myself to clean it, then came back in and didn't see him so Nico took over, got a reading, and showed that I needed to replace the battery which I was happy to pay $200+ for. He then let me watch how I could do it with the right tools and even brought over some corrosion spray and didn't charge for that. Such a nice guy that was willing to help out a paying customer in the 105° heat. You guys need more of him!! read more

This is probably the worst experience at an auto part!!! I bought some brake lights bulbs last week and fortunately I didn't need them. Our mechanic changed them when he did the oil change. So I went to return the light and Hugo the manager didn't say good morning and was very agressif with his tone of voice because I don't have the receipt anymore! Nowadays everything is computerized, I told him that I'm in the royalties O'Reilly program so he can check my previous purchase. I actually fake that I didn't have my wallet and left the store as quick as possible ! I will never shop there or any O'Reilly for that matter. Better off going on Amazon !!!! read more

Yelp, get with it, please....Checker on 7th St is now O'Reilly & that's who I'm trying to write a review for.....thanks! :) In any case, I came in to the 7th St location today as my battery was sputtering & on its last breath and that's where I'd bought it previously. Sue was the employee helping me & was patient enough to look under several different phone numbers to see if my battery was still under warranty. It wasn't (groan in my head, money signs in front of my eyes) but she did me a solid & applied it to my case so that instead of paying $100 for the new battery, I was only out $60. Beyond her willingness to help me, she was friendly & quick. I definitely recommend this location to anyone looking for help who's car savvy and maybe not so car savvy (me). read more

Nice person working, however, she was the only employee. I waited for approximately 5 minutes while she juggled working with other customers and answering the phone. I went to get my check engine light read only to be told they do not offer the service because they don't have the device. Front of the building said they offer the service. Good service here, and approachable staff. They're ready to help and sometimes even walk you over to where the needed parts are located. I never write reviews but I just have to put it out there that the service I received yesterday was off the charts! I came rolling up with a dying battery spitting out acid all over the place. It was hot and muggy outside and I had no real clue where to start. The man who helped me ran me through everything, talked to me about my battery. explained pricing, even put the new battery in the car for me! and put some weird grease on my battery terminals to prevent any acid leaks like I had before! I mean this guy totally went out of his way! Every time I go there I am treated like a person not like some idiot that doesn't know about cars (which I am!) Thanks guys! read more

Recently I realized my battery was corroding and possibly leaking. It was late afternoon on a hot day when I pulled into O'Reilly. Already occupying three of the other parking spaces were cars with hoods raised. Two associates leaned over engines in obvious thought. The third gentleman just needed advice. Yet Michael acknowledged us and came to our aid as soon as he was done with another customer. Together we realized my current battery was under warranty and saved me the cost of a new battery. Then, using tools they had on hand he helped me take out the battery, replace the drivers side headlight (which is behind the battery,) and install the new battery. the entire process took a half hour and he was courteous and helpful even standing in the hot sun. I was impressed and will continue to be a regular customer. read more

Just came in to buy some wiper fluid for my car. I've been to this location a few times to do so. I decided to go ahead and add the wiper fluid in the parking lot. I removed the cap and it fell into the engine compartment. I was unable to grab it without potentially burning myself. I went back in to ask to borrow some sort of rod so that I could reach it. I asked the first guy who said he'd help me, but asked to just take a phone call. It ended up being his friend or someone he knew, so I ended up waiting for the next clerk. I made light of my situation and he said "We don't have any. We have some for sale." There were other ways he could have helped. He and the other clerk went out of their way to help other customers all the way to installing some refrigerant in one customer's AC system and diagnosing a code on another's OBD system. I asked if I could just borrow the one for 5 seconds. He said, "go ahead, dude," but not without first giving me a look of disgust. I'll take my business elsewhere from now on. read more
