Last name Montoya 11/22 around 10:30-11pm. I went to nearest open Autozone because my passenger window is rolling down wasn't rolling back up. I get there and a Man in a grey shirt is locking up saying it's his break whilst a Man in red is under a hood of a vehicle. The man in red finished and heads to his vehicle and comes right back and asks me what's wrong. We tried to get my window up but it wouldn't budge. I tipped him and he's refused but, seeing how his different shirt employee was sitting in his own vehicle while pole were cueing up. He deserved the tip. read more

I showed up 5 minutes before close and asked the first guy I saw if he could test my battery. I was expecting a grimace, but he was pleasant and courteous. I needed a new battery so as he was getting the battery I went to remove the old one to help speed things up. I didn't get far and sheered a bolt in one of the terminals. Long story short, he ended up having to stay till another a half hour after close when all was said and done. He didn't act a bit annoyed and his manager that had to hang around was friendly and professional as well. I thanked them and apologized for coming in right before close. Arturo and Christian were so amazing! Friends of mine and myself were visiting Phoenix for my birthday and my car, the day we were supposed to leave, completely stopped turning on. We were able to get to an Autozone nearest to us but unfortunately they were short staffed and referred us to this one instead. Immediately Arturo was extremely kind and helpful, he helped us every step of the way of changing my battery and even gave us a couple of tips for our long trip back. After an entire day of fair, food, and fun at the AZ State Fair, we returned to my vehicle to find that it wouldn't start. It was after 10pm, and I was beginning to have a mini freak-out session. My car is only 2 years old and it's Japanese... Isn't it supposed to last, like, forever?! So I do what most adults would do and I call my dad, who lives over 1500 miles away. He tells me that it's likely just the battery. So I call ERS for a jump-start and while waiting for them I begin the search for who on earth is going to be open this late to sell me a car battery. I thought all was hopeless until I ran across the listing for this AutoZone. I called the store directly to confirm their hours and was beyond relieved when he said that they were open until midnight AND they had a battery in stock for my vehicle. After getting the battery jumped, GPS led me to this store, which was only minutes away. The man who assisted me was helpful and patient. He showed me the different options, explained the differences in brands and warranties, and didn't pressure me into spending more money than needed. With his guidance, I chose a battery, his coworker installed it into my vehicle, and took the old one away. (The coworker seemed a tad annoyed, but he still got the job done.) Bought a battery from 24th St and Southern. It didn't fit my compartment but they didn't have the battery I needed. So I came here. Dude told me he couldn't help me replace it. Got upset when my skinny ass placed the heavy ass battery on his counter because he's thinking I slammed it. Tried to charge me for the core although I just gave my old battery to Autozone so they discounted the core. After a bit of reasoning he discounted the core price. I'm out here struggling to put the battery in and not once did any of them ask if I need assistance. 1.5 hours later and with the assistance of a complete stranger I'm back on the road. I would say I'm never coming here again but it's the only Autozone that always has my battery. read more

What a joke. Came here a little before 10pm to get coolant since my engine was overheating. They were closed for "30 minutes" to count the drawers. Fine! We waited over an hour. Multiple people waiting outside. After about 45 minutes an employee comes out to grab food from his car - says they're still counting and now going on a break an hour before they close. At AutoZone on 26th St and McDowell, they lent it, and printed the error code in my vehicle. I went back, and purchased the part from them, even though it took an extra 10 minutes of drive time. My wife and I specifically went out of our way to go to Auto Zone off of mcdowell in Phoenix because their store was advertised and labeled open till 12am. Not only did we not get what we went for and needed but the staff counted out their registers at a little aft er 1045pm, they informed us while shopping they shut down their registers and couldn't take payments but rushed my wife and I out their front door like cattle along with a select few customers that remained. No reasons and if there was one, it wouldn't have been acceptable at any time. I came at 10 pm to the dam autozone this was like 2 days ago said they were closed for a whole hour because there system is down that is so stupid all I need was a battery exchange because my truck died on the freeway and I had to hurry and get it over with but still made me wait till 11 pm so I did I go Inside come to think that ok I'll get a battery in n out next thing you know they have to check if it's a bad battery and t would take an hour to find out like I need to go now I told them so they said they will just give me a exchange once he went looking and a minute or 2 later he comes back saying they are out of my battery size like how your a autozone makes no sense so my only option was to charge the battery and I had to wait an hour for it to charge come around 1130 they kicked me out of the store and had me wait outside till my battery was charged my ass was freezing never again will I come here read more

I usually love autozone! This one by far is ran by the laziest staff! I saw 5-10 customers walk out because they cashier was doing his end of day and it was going to be 10-15 minutes before he could check anyone out! Normally I would be fine to not make anyone stay later than normal to get a few things but in this case it was an hour and twenty minutes before they closed! Needless to say I saw them lose a ton of customers. Hopefully management fixes this issue! read more

My husband and I were welcomed home from our Thankgiving trip by a dead car battery at the airport economy lot. My key fob battery was also dead, I came to find out. What are the odds?! I recently purchased my car, so I was extra annoyed at this point (physical key doesn't work either, so it looks like I got played). Anyway, after a jump from roadside assistance, we found the only nearby AutoZone that was open -- with only 30 minutes left. Cutting it close! But we made it. These guys were so incredibly helpful. It took awhile to remove the old battery and install the new one, so they kindly stayed open an extra 15 minutes to finish the job and not a complaint was uttered. Not even a hint of a sigh or eye roll at the inconvenience even though it was past midnight and I was keeping them from enjoying the rest of their Saturday night. Horrible service!!!! I am still waiting 3 days later for an ac compressor for my car. When it didn't come the first day I was told it was still sitting at the FedEx hub. After the 3 day wait with STILL NO COMPRESSOR I asked for a refund and was told they can't give a refund until the part arrives at the store! What a run around. Fortunately I was able to find the compressor at O'Reilly Auto Parts. I forgot, when I went in originally I was given a compressor for a 97 Firebird instead of my 97 Thunderbird, which they didnt have any way. Needless to say I will NEVER go to ANY AutoZone again.
