I've been to AutoZone's across this country of ours. And the one thing I can say about them is consistency is key. They always have the oil you need, they always have the fuel additive you need, and they always have a ton of accessories that you may or may not need. For me, the real experience of AutoZone is the people behind the counters. More often than not, they seem to be genuinely friendly people who know about cars. My experience has been that 99% of the people that work there are kind, courteous, and friendly. The rest are just perfunctory. And by that I mean don't really get any kind of emotion out of them other than they're doing their job. Which is fine, because all I'm doing is getting in there to get something that my car needs. It doesn't have to be like Chick-fil-A where it's. Thank you and my pleasure. That being said, this particular AutoZone ranks a solid. 3. It was neither a pleasant nor unpleasant experience, so it landed right in the middle. The guy at the counter called me boss, which always makes me laugh when you don't want to say sir. And they were kind of backed up so he guided me to the self-checkout. Which worked out perfect. Bottom line? I had a battery replaced at this AutoZone in August 2025. Roughly 7 months later, while on a cross-country trip, my truck started having electrical issues. Given how recent the replacement was, I didn't expect the battery to be the problem. I stopped at an O'Reilly Auto Parts in Arkansas to have the system tested, and the results showed the battery was failing. When I contacted this location, they denied responsibility and told me it was no longer under warranty. That response doesn't align with the expected lifespan of a properly functioning battery, especially one installed less than a year ago. This situation had the potential to leave me stranded in the middle of a cross-country trip. I would strongly advise customers to verify warranty coverage, keep all documentation, and pay close attention to the quality of what's being installed. read more

Auto zone on thomas is always so busy, there was an employee, I belive his name was Trevor he was kicking butt! He was so quick at helping people, very efficient! He got the long line of customers handled within minutes, he would put mvd to shame! He was friendly, very professional, efficient and the customers very happy! This employee deserves a raise! Can in to get oil for my car. Checked their hours, they close at 10pm. Drove all the way there and got there at 9:50pm. They had already locked their doors. I knocked and knocked, and it took 5 minutes for a worker to poke his head out and try to signal that they were closed. I showed the time on my phone, they were still open for 5 minutes, and he just ducked away and hid behind the counter. I get people want to go home at the end of the night, but respect your posted hours. It would have taken me under a minute to grab the oil that I needed. I could have even used the self checkout and paid with a card. Don't lock the door until you're actually closed. read more

Jesus the manager is super unprofessional. Wants to get mad when they get the wrong part. Says he can't refund only to refund later once I told him how refunding my card days later won't help me get the part I need to fix me car asap. Ordered a battery for delivery online because mine got shorted out in the rain. I called to let them know my gate code and to ask if there was a way to add a wrench to the order. Then just kept telling me that I can't get deliveries from autozone, it's impossible... I was like it's on your website... plus I got an email saying the order was being worked on at this store. So I was like alright and just asked for advice on where to get a socket wrench. They continued to just say "no" or remind me that they don't deliver (WHICH THEY DO!). Eventually I just gave up. An incorrect phone number was entered when I bought a battery replacement last May. So I went there today to test my battery, and they cannot find it under my correct phone number. Are they doing this to avoid paying out warranty claims when a battery does fail? Either way they should have fixed the incorrect info instead of pushing me out of the store. My suggestion is buy your battery from somewhere that doesn't employ dyslexic workers unable to type or take proper notes or help fix errors they created. read more

I don't know cars and even with a line and disgruntled customers he made it a point to help me out through the process of getting necessary things done in my truck before my oil change scheduled for next week. Went in to get a battery replaced that I was confident was dead (I tested it). When I walked in, there was a line of 3 people waiting. Sherry, the Parts Sales Manager, told the last person in line she would help them. That made the other two people visibly upset. One of them even refused to be helped by her - a stance I wish I'd taken. I go to her and ask for the battery to be tested even though I'm sure it was dead (spoiler - it was). She tests it, says it's bad then hands me a small ticket/receipt and says I have to wait an hour. I asked if she could confirm the battery would actually start charging because if not, it's dead. She said that process would take 10 mins. I repeated - simply to confirm the battery will or won't charge? Yes. About 30 seconds later after I asked another employee how long it takes to confirm Sherry waves me over and said it was dead (yeah...no sh*t, Sherry). She looked up my number and said it wasn't there because it "disappears" in the system after a year (as I'm staring at a sticker on the battery that says July 2021). I said - Ok, I'll take it to a different AutoZone. She let me know the same thing would happen (cool story, bro). Went to a different one and I magically have a new battery for $0. Maybe Sherry was having a bad day, maybe that's just Sherry. All I know is she was the opposite of helpful for me (and those other two in line). Moral of the story - probably go to a different AutoZone. read more

She gave me a blank stare and didn't even greet me back and actually called for an associate at the back of the store to help me instead. This is a busy Auto Zone, and I half expected to have to strangle someone in order to get some help. I have been here thrice in the past month, and all three times the employees were busy, but helpful and efficient! I changed the battery in two separate cars, and replaced the coil pack in my Jetta. The staff came out to make sure the batteries were actually dead before I purchased new ones. In both battery cases they were. No mystery, just a reading on their handy computer! Another time, I couldn't find what I was looking for, and instead of pointing, the nice man walked down the aisle and got it for me. All the while the store was busy as hell. Consistent, and every store is set up very similar, so no matter what town or store I visit I can usually find it quickly. The people at the counter, ladies included, typically know cars, too, so that works to my advantage. The selection is never large, but I like that too, for it seems AutoZone typically carries what I need, at a decent price, and I'm usually out the door quickly. AutoZone is going through a transformation, where the company has been bought by another parts company, so we'll see if this develops into some much needed upgrades to their inventory management, and the look of the stores overall, so I'll reserve my 5th star for what I hope is an improvement to their outdated appearance. read more

It made my vw run like crap and it's a simple sensor that was on my car for only minutes. This guy wouldn't let me explain the issue and he wouldn't properly explain anything to me, I'm shocked he is the face of this company. I called him out on his left and right attitude and he got ugly. Laughed at me and pretended to act like it was for the 'good day he was having'. He kicked me out after I vocalized that I'd had enough. I may have had some words for him but honestly I can't believe he actually jumped at me on my way outside! I'm a young and small female! Associate sold me wrong EGR valve for my truck, installed it for a week. It caused issues beyond issues. I tried to return it, they won't, can only replace it with the same WRONG EGR valve. I used to bring all my business here to Autozone.... never again. read more

Last week, my car wouldn't start as I was leaving work. One of my coworkers gave me a jump and suggested I head to Auto Zone so they can test the battery. Even though the store was pretty busy, Ramon took the time to come outside and test my battery and alternator, and spent the time explaining some other issues he noticed to my boyfriend. He wasn't pushy at all, and gave me genuine advice, without trying to upsell me on anything. I ended up still having a warranty on my battery, which I purchased elsewhere. My battery died and the battery terminals had eroded away. A huge nightmare that left me stranded but when we got to autozone, Hugo was super nice and helped us swap the batteries easily and quickly.
