I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with the service and product I received at this AutoZone. I purchased a new battery from this location, and it turned out to be defective. The battery leaked acid all over my backseat carpet, causing severe damage to my vehicle's interior. When you buy a brand-new part, you expect it to function correctly, not cause thousands of dollars in property damage. This was a massive safety hazard and a huge financial headache. I will not be shopping at AutoZone again and would warn anyone else to be extremely cautious when purchasing batteries here. I have been in here twice and both times, I have been treated with courtesy and respect. As a woman, that's not always the case in settings like this. Hector and the store manager (didn't get his name!) were so helpful and genuinely kind. They didn't talk down to me, but they did offer lots of help and acted like it was no problem at all. I don't even own a car, but yesterday when I had my bicycle next door at the Dollar Store, the key wasn't able to open the lock. Ike came out with bolt cutters and helped me cut the broken lock off so I could be on my way. He wouldn't even take a tip! He just wanted me to leave this review on Yelp. Three cheers for Isaac! So in the last year they have sold me 2 bad batteries. In October of 2023 I was able to trade it in for no cost got a new battery. Well it's now August of 2024 it happened again my battery died. So I went back to them and they refused to prorate the cost not a damn thing ...they sold me 2 bad batteries in the span of 1 year. Nope again I took my business to O'Reillys and guess what they thought autozone was 100% wrong and gave me 50% off my new battery. I am big on giving positive reviews but this pissed me off after they sold me 2 bad batteries in a years time. Bye!!! The gal working at the front was rather cold, but the gentleman who helped me explained afterwards. I guess they are used to some pretty rude customers, which bothers me because Gabriel? (I think that was his name) was incredibly helpful and kind. He was willing to help me and not take advantage of the fact that I was obviously a gal way out of my element (and not from here) and once we started talking, he was super warm and friendly, and definitely quick and knew what he was doing! Complimenting: Richard My Review: Great is an understatement when it comes to complimenting the kind, empathy, professionalism, and thoughtfulness of Richard! I popped in to grab some windshield cleaner and I asked for assistance to properly install, rather where to pour it in. He didn't hesitate, and did an exceptional job. Shortly thereafter he took notice that there was some buildup of some type of substance on the battery cable and helped me to clean it. This is noteworthy and commendable because he didn't just walk away and leave it like that. Truly AutoZone should feel so privleleged and blessed to have outstanding individuals representing their company as it makes them shine! I can honestly say that I wasn't expecting this type of bonafide goodness, I really wasn't. AutoZone can get quite busy which made it all the more meaningful, and rewarding for Richard to not just take the time but make the time! Hence; to greatly assist a completely oblivious customer who was clueless on how to proceed and I was never once made to feel he anything other than genuine, as aforementioned professional, patient and kind. In closing I triple the 5-star rating and I give this experience a 15-star rating for it was a blessing, and may Richard be blessed in a very special way! Outstanding!
