I was recently in the market for a newer model Honda CRV. I stopped into AZ Auto Sales and was greeted on the lot by Luis. He was immediately very friendly, helpful, and thorough about the inventory he had. I test drove a Ford Escape and then was handed the keys to test drive a 2016 CRV. Here's the kicker, this was at about 11:30am. Luis told me I could take the CRV to show my partner at work, run errands, whatever I needed. As long as it was back by close. I ultimately found a newer (2018) CRV at another dealership and Luis was very understanding in my decision to purchase elsewhere. Unfortunately we had a terrible experience, and no one from Arizona Auto Sales was either responsive, attentive or concern about what happened. We bought a car on October 31st, and by November 18th it BROKE! and after being checked by Toyota professional technicians, they confirmed to us that the car was "fixed" in a way that during the general inspection people couldn't see what was really wrong with the car. We called them and I actually tried to talk to the owner but we didn't get any response from them. Not even to know what the situation was. This is by far probably the worst car sales experience I've ever had. So completely dishonest, dirty, and disgusting customer service. I called ahead about a car that I saw on their website. I had a lot number and everything. The salesman, Riley, said he didn't know what I was talking about but he has similar vehicles. Since I was already on my way, I decided to go check them out. When I got there, he looked up the car and found it. Instead of going to test drive it first like I wanted, he wanted to run my credit. I have no idea why he was so persistent on running my credit on a car I haven't even seen yet, but I was totally forced into it and was told if I wasn't approved why would I go look at the car. Totally sketchy to me, and it seemed like he didn't even want to help me. Ran my credit, got approved for an insanely high APR rate (which I know is not his fault) but the price of the vehicle was wrong. I asked why online it said the car was $8,999 but says it's $10,999 on the financing sheet. He said the lower price is for people with a credit score of 600 or more. That wasn't on the website at all. I wouldn't have even come in to look at the car OR have him run my credit if it was that much. Also, my credit score is way higher than 600 but Riley very condescendingly told me I had zero credit. I don't know what credit bureau they're checking, but he was completely wrong. After politely telling him I simply can't afford that high of a payment, and beginning to leave after wasting two hours with him, he started to push me to buy. Saying "I'm pretty sure you can afford it" like he knows about my finances. It was really annoying to find out the ACTUAL price of the car AFTER running my credit. Please don't go here unless you have 800 credit score and a lot of time to waste. Very disappointed. read more

If you want to do business with a deceptive dealer, this is the place. When I went to pay for the car, they wanted $3000 than what they advertised it for. And I was paying cash. They said cash buyers have to pay more because they can't get your extra money through financing. There is nothing in the ads or website that states that. I even told the salesman the 1st day I stopped in that I would be paying cash and he never said anything. The 1st page of their website says "The price you see is the price you pay. This place is great except within a couple years I've had to put 6,000 dollars into the car I bought, including a new radiator, a new gas tank, a new main computer, and so on and so forth. If I could give 0 stars, I would. We purchased a Kia from Arizona Used Car Sales in September of 2014. Dave was our salesman and he did great! The process was easy and it went smoothly. In December of 2014, we traded the Kia in and upgraded to a Chevy Tahoe. We financed it through Phoenix Auto Finance (in-house). In late December of 2014, we had a rainy day. We went out to our car and the cup holders were filled with water and our interior lights didn't work. I climbed up on the top of our car and there was a hole about 1.5" wide. I called and talked to Stewart. He apologized and sent me to his place (Maaco) to have it fixed. Is all they did was put a gob of putty on it. It looked hideous. I had to pay to have it properly fixed. In March of 2015, we refinanced the loan through Wells Fargo to get a better interest rate. We gave Phoenix Auto Finance a check paying off the loan in full. They gave me paperwork stating that they received payment and that it had been fully paid off. In April of 2015, the car would not start. I towed it to Auto Zone to have them check everything. They could not find anything. I then had it towed to my mechanic. They could not figure out why it would not start. I finally had it towed it to an ignition specialist. When I financed the loan through them, they installed a device in the car to turn it off from their office if I did not pay my bill. It malfunctioned and wouldn't let me start my car(or so they said). I had to pay a couple hundred dollars to have it removed. Arizona Used Car Sales/Phoenix Auto Finance refused to reimburse me. In April of 2015, we received the title to give to Wells Fargo. They had mixed up our drivers license numbers, birthdays and misspelled my wife's name. We were more than understanding and worked with them over 3 weeks to get it corrected. We eventually received it and were able to give it to Wells Fargo. Around June of 2015, I ran a credit report and it was still showing an open loan with Phoenix Auto Finance. I called and spoke with Kara and she said that they had messed up but had resolved the issue. Around October/November of 2015 I went to buy another car and the credit report still showed an open loan with Phoenix Auto Finance. I called Joy and she informed me that their previous finance manager (Kara) was replaced by her. Joy said that Kara had messed up on multiple loans and that they were in the process of fixing them all. She confirmed that mine had been fixed. On January 30, 2016, I purchased a new car from Berge Volkswagen. When they ran my credit report, the credit bureaus are still showing an open loan from Phoenix Auto Finance with a balance of over $20,000. I called Joy and they said that there were no errors on their end and that I needed to call each and every credit bureau and dispute it with them. I would believe this had the loan not shown as open with a balance with EVERY credit bureau. Absolute worst experience I have ever had when buying a car. Through this process, I did not receive an apologetic letter, card, gift card or anything to make up for all of their mistakes. I strongly urge that nobody purchase a car from this dealership. It has been nothing but hell for me and my wife. read more

I bought a car there for an egregious amount and interest. During Covid and on unemployment, I paid my near $500 a month payment. Joy McCabe is a con artist in my opinion. My car was totaled and she demanded that I let her take the lead on the insurance collecting. I paid for gap , which went directly to her. She demanded a second appraisal from geicos appraisal. Hers came in over $1000 lower so that's what they finally paid. She tried stinging me for the difference. Turned it in on my credit and dropped my score 143 points in the middle of my home purchase ! Let me start by saying, I am probably the most difficult customer Arizona Car Sales has ever had to work with. I had some very specific requirements for my next vehicle and at one point, I even changed my vehicle choice at the last minute. For most sales people, I would have been shown the door. But not the folks at Arizona Car Sales. They are staffed with the most professional, courteous and caring people I have ever seen at a car company anywhere (new OR used)! For example, my sales person, Dennis Starks, wasn't even flustered by my final decision to change vehicles at the last minute. He treated me as if I had walked in the door for the first time. He made it a challenge to find me the car I needed at the proper price point with the exact features I was looking for, regardless of how long it took or how much work was involved! I NEVER felt rushed or hurried or pressured and time was no object for Dennis. You won't find another sales person as focused on their customers as Dennis Starks. I would recommend asking for him, for sure. But my story doesn't stop there! Because my change in vehicle choices shifted some of the financing requirements, the Sales Manager MIKE, spent hours working with me and various lenders to make sure I was getting the car I wanted, with the features I needed, from a finance company that was actually looking for me as a client, not just settling for whoever might take me. Mike's care, patience and tenacity, literally humbled me and made me very grateful I chose Arizona Car Sales as the dealer I bough my car from. On a final note, you will not find another used car dealer in the business with a NEW CAR attitude. Every vehicle is carefully inspected, cared for and they even offer a 5 YEAR, 100K MILE WARRANTY unlike anything I have ever seen from a used car dealer anywhere! I am so happy to see that the ratings on this dealership is finally going down! I just need to say, stay far far away from this dealership. Arizona Car Sales are con's and most of their vehicles DO NOT hold their value. I purchased a Kia Soul Nov of 2016. The salesman name was Jake who I believe is no longer there. It was my first car and I feel like they took advantage completely. With just two weeks of having the car, I began to have problems. They also partner with the crappiest companies overall, such as Credit Acceptance and Wynn's Extended Warranty. They are all rip offs. Oh and I forgot to mention, if your car ever breaks down, they provide you with loaner cars that are not reliable at all. Three people who you need to be careful with, Sheri (she says is one of the managers), JP (the person who handles the mechanics) and of course Mike. They do not stick with their words at all. The person I spoke to on the phone confirmed I qualified for the low financing special they were having.
