Many, many, many months ago before they were officially released or available I began the Journey to get the exact 2026 RAV4 PHEV we wanted to replace our fantastic 21 RAV4 Prime Premium. I Don't pay over MSRP, I don't accept "mandatory" dealer, or port installed options that I didn't want. I am the customer, I want what I want, not what is available. I contacted several Toyota dealers in Texas with what I wanted and asked them to call the minute they got an allocation for it and I would buy it. Texas is never 1st on the list for plug in vehicles as of April 22 3026 I am unaware of any Texas dealers having any allocations. I also have very low confidence in a smooth transaction with any Texas (Gulf States Toyota) dealer. I also contacted Jordan Smith at Earnhardt, who has sold 3 vehicles to family members, and another Jordan at Corwin Toyota in Colorado. I gave them both the same information. The DAY the allocations were released to BOTH of those dealers Jordan Smith at Earnhardt Toyota sent me a screenshot of the EXACT car I asked for that said "Presold to me by Jordan Smith". For giggles, I checked the Corwin website, they also had one, a month and a half later NO contact whatsoever. It's ok though I am driving one now... As if that wasn't enough, Jordan Smith at Earnhardt Toyota assisted/facilitated working with a 3rd party to get my desired tint and ppf applied to the car prior to us flying to Mesa to pick it up. I contacted Earnhardt Toyota regarding a recall on my vehicle. They took down all of my information and created a profile, but told me they were unable to bring my car in because they didn't have the parts available. When I asked when the parts might be available, I was told to call back the following week. I also asked if they could reach out to me once the parts came in since they already had my information, but initially they said they couldn't do that or schedule anything. After insisting, I was told they would call me when parts became available, but the overall experience felt unhelpful and lacking in communication--especially for something as important as a recall that already has an official fix released. I hope they improve their process for handling recall appointments and customer follow-up. read more

Just bought a car this weekend from this dealership, and I'm genuinely impressed. We spent two full days visiting multiple dealerships, and the customer service here stood out by far. We walked in with very clear boundaries: We had a firm budget from our lender, we're in the middle of the home-buying process, and we unexpectedly lost our car in last month's floods--so we needed something quickly. They respected every boundary and worked hard to get us into a car with a truly affordable payment. Chris Gilbert was our salesperson, and he made the entire experience so much easier and far less stressful than it could have been. But what really deserves praise is what happened after the sale. There were a few misunderstandings that weren't fully clear to me during the transaction. I called the next day and spoke with the manager Robert Montano, explained my concerns, and they FIXED THE ISSUE with a smile. We had already purchased the car, signed everything, and were out the door--they absolutely didn't have to do that, but they did. That says a lot about their integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction. I truly hope this company recognizes and rewards outstanding customer service like this. Something happened last week that surprised me. I had written about my 2021 4runner TRD Off-Road that I had purchased about 6-8 months ago with 45.000 miles. When I brought the 4runner in for service ( at 50,000 miles) I was expecting an oil and filter change and a tire rotation. Again, I had just purchased the 4runner 6-8 months ago. Instead, I received a $660 bill for the oil (over $1,000 less discount coupons). Oil filter tire rotation, new rear brakes and all fluids needing to be replaced. Now if the SUV needed service, well it needed service. I paid the bill but mentioned to the service manager that other dealers would have done the service before selling me the SUV. I wrote them and well forgot about it. OK, I'm 77 and remembered a time when businesses believed in service, not just bottom line. OK we all drive differently and most of my driving his highway so yes I am used to getting a lot more miles before needing new brakes and all oils changed. But for me, well, whatever service it needed, it needed. $660.00 isn't going to make or break me and life goes on. And I do love my 4runner. Well, I was in the Gym when I received a call from Earnhardt Toyota off of US60 and Power Road. I was not expecting a call from the dealership. It was the service manager who when I answered the phone started off by telling me read the email, I sent to him about a week ago (note the email was factual as I saw things, not nasty at all). He apologized for the delay in getting back to me, Nick, the manager said he had spoken to someone above him and in reviewing their records agreed with me. Nick said that they should have done a lot of the service before I purchased the 4runner. Nick was calling me to say that of the $660.00 I had paid for service, that they were refunding $620.00. Now this would have been normal maybe 40 years ago, but not these days. Now many companies no longer act this way and Earnhardt Toyota and Nick and all who were making this decision sort of left me speechless. And for those who know me being speechless does not happen often to me. I am more used to being disappointed in society then being impressed. Again being 77 years old, I remember a gentler, kinder and more customer friendly time. Earnhardt already had the sale from me buying the 4Runner and I had already paid for the service. Also, I am not buying a Fleet of vehicles so who cares what I think and how I feel. Well, I guess Earnhardt Toyota did. Now yes, I do have a local auto repair shop who is about 4 miles from my house and Earnhardt Toyota is a good 20 miles from me. But in my many years I have learned that when a company gives good service and is honest with you, yes, you reward them by going back to them. I just wanted all to know how this played out. I must say we didn't get off on the best foot with this place. I was there to pick up a part for a customers car and needed it quick because their car was sitting in one of my bays waiting for this part. I get there and there's a guy at the parts counter but there were 4 other people standing or sitting there. They told the lady that came in behind me the parts line was where I was, and the person behind her and ai was already waiting for the guy in front of me to be done. He kept "chatting" with the parts guy, who appeared to me to be a little uncomfortable as though he wanted his current guest to hurry along. I think he could tell the rest of us were getting irritated. And no one else can help? Have they ever heard of cross-training for cryin out loud?! Anyway, the guy in front of me finally finished and turned to leave. Before I even got to the counter, the parts guy said, "oh I know what you need" (we had called in for the part) and immediately went to the back and came out with my part. He charged me, gave me my receipt, and thanked me all in less than 2 minutes and I was on my way. HE, the parts guy turned a potentially bad experiences into a thankful one! I didn't get his name unless his number is 803, but if he sees this he'll know because I was there from Cobblestone Auto spa. Our son turned 16 earlier this year and saved up for his first car. After having no luck on Facebook Marketplace, we decided to visit Earnhardt Toyota. A few hours later, we drove home with a 2021 certified pre-owned Toyota Corolla LE with 40k+ miles. Our experience was seamless from start to finish. We were immediately greeted by Art (if I remember correctly) as we were walking up. We informed him of our budget and what we were looking for. The 2025 Toyota Camry we purchased has been nothing but problems dont buy one, The main problems are the constant rattling inside the car the sun roof welds came unwelded they used hot glue the 1st fix, foam the 2nd fix and then finally said we will need to re-weld the sun roof and re attach it. The 2nd issues is the horrible smell coming from the vents, the mildew and mold sit inside the vent and when you turn it on it blast in you face of mold and mildew, They said this is normal if you want we will change you 180.00 to clear lines and disinfect warranty won't cover the lines. We still have a unfixed rattle near the dash it is a loose sensor they were supposed to correct it and it is not. read more

Overall, the sales experience was smooth and easy, and we initially felt good about purchasing our used 2024 Toyota Tundra. Unfortunately, everything after the sale has been extremely disappointing. Shortly after purchasing, less than 2 weeks, we experienced major issues with the 14-inch multimedia display. While driving or even just starting the truck, the entire screen would go black--leaving us without cameras, controls, or access to settings. We immediately notified Toyota and were told the head unit would be replaced. Later, we learned that there is no fix available and that we'll have to wait indefinitely for a recall solution. What makes this worse is the lack of communication and accountability from Earnhardt Toyota. This Tundra has less than 31,000 miles and is almost inoperable at times. We've received no follow-up from the sales manager, no call from finance, and no effort from service beyond emailing us a recall notice. For a major safety and usability issue, this is unacceptable. It feels like we were misled during the buying process, and once the paperwork was signed, the support disappeared. We will not recommend this dealership to anyone and hope others proceed with caution before buying here. read more

I came in to have my car serviced, and from my very first visit to this branch, I was extremely pleased. When I returned, it truly felt like coming back to see family. I was greeted right away, and the staff was immediately ready to accommodate me. Nigel, who assisted me during my first visit, made a point to come over, say hello, and offer his help with anything I needed. Sierra assisted me during my visit and was pleasant, knowledgeable, and efficient. She had everything taken care of in a short amount of time. When it was time to check out, Tanner remembered me from a previous visit, came over, and shook my hand. Being remembered in such a positive way was a wonderful feeling. Andrew, one of the managers, made my day by acknowledging the Buffalo Bills shirt I was wearing. Once again, the service was excellent--Andrew made sure I had everything I needed and that all my questions were answered. Wow, how the changed in a negative way. Did you know that tires have no warranty when purchased on new car. We only got 26k miles on 2023 Rav 4 . Tires were rated for 50k miles. We followed the recommended rotation that the service dept follows. They had more excuses by different service employees then I can count. Will not purchase another Toyota / Earnhardt car with this lack of customer service. I'm writing to express my disappointment with the service experience I had today, May 30th, 2025. I scheduled an oil change appointment for 1:15 PM and arrived early at 1:03 PM, expecting timely service based on the appointment I secured. To my surprise, I was informed that the wait time would be an hour and a half to two hours. At no point during the scheduling process was I informed that an oil change -- something typically straightforward -- would take that long. If I had been told in advance, I could have made alternative arrangements. Additionally, I was not offered a courtesy ride home via Uber or shuttle -- a service I know other Toyota dealerships provide for customer convenience. This lack of proactive communication and support left a negative impression, especially as a loyal Toyota customer who values prompt and respectful service. I hope you'll take this feedback seriously and consider ways to improve the customer experience moving forward -- particularly around managing expectations and offering transportation options when delays occur. read more

After weeks of calling pretty much every Toyota dealership and none of them being able to deliver, we were frustrated. Earnhardt Toyota was our last shot. I put in an inquiry online at 8 AM, and by 8:30, the sales rep called me. Manny really came through -- super patient and helpful. He found a car that got delivered to the dealership that same day and made sure everything was ready for us to pick it up. He sent over all the paperwork, had the car pulled up, and got it prepped for us. Unfortunately, we didn't get to meet him in person to thank him since he was off at 3, but he made sure one of his coworkers helped us out. The whole process only took about 1.5 hours, and we drove home in our new ride. Huge thanks to Manny and Curtis (finance) for being patient and making this such a great experience! Sometimes people and companies can fool you - Last week it was Earnhardt Toyota! I purchased my newer 4Runner last Thursday. By the way I am thrilled with this new 2021 SUV. Now being an Ex-New Yorker, I am not the easiest person to please and I know what I want. I am not rich or poor but I spent my life on the business side and am not afraid to negotiate. OK, yes being in Arizona, I have mellowed a bit. I did let them know that I was driving a Toyota so if I don't like the deal, I can walk to other dealers (which I was doing) or keep the older Toyota for another few years. Well, I was taking a short ride yesterday (Sunday) and I noticed that there was a small chip in the front windshield. OK, was it there when I purchased the vehicle or did it happen after the SUV was mine. Only the Big Man upstairs really knows. So yesterday I texted the salesman (Austin - who I highly recommend) and told him about the chip and he said he will see what he can do. I just got a call saying the car dealership will fix the windshield. NOW THAT IS SERVICE as they had every right to say no as who knows when the chip happened. OK, I purchased my SUV at Earnhardt Toyota off of US60 and Power Road. Now some will say they love the place and others will say they don't. I find that in many cases how we get treated by someone or a company is in direct response to how we treat them (and yes an Ex-New Yorker is saying this). My buying experience was that they asked more for my SUV then I wanted to pay, so we negotiated. I ended up with a price close to what I wanted, and they made a profit, I am sure. The key to negotiating is to walk out with a Fair deal where both sides are happy. And so far, I am very happy with Earnhardt Toyota. There were a few other dealerships that I walked away from. Now only the few days later I did see the same vehicle, same year, same color for $5,000 less but the other vehicle had over 30,000 more miles. Plus, my SUV came with custom rims, upgraded tires and a lift kit. OK yes, I paid a little more than I wanted to but for me it was a good deal. I normally take my 2025 Camry for routine oil changes and inspection which takes about an hour, but today I took my 2023 Camry there for an oil change at it took them over 3 hrs for something g simple as an oil change and tire rotation. I wasn't a walk up appointment, a slotted time booked in advanced. It was so unprofessional on their time management the I will be taking my business elsewhere as I do not want to waste half a Saturday sitting at the dealership to just be over charged. read more

After recently purchasing a car, I feel the need to review all of the dealers I visited. This dealer in particular was awful. They had decent stock but the cars were parked so close together that you could barely open the doors. They were also almost fully locked-- only a few opened. The staff were incredibly pushy and wouldn't leave us alone-- we left in 10 minutes. Unfortunately this isn't rare for Toyota dealerships. Great cars, but the dealers can be hit or miss. UPDATE: Finally received a call from service manager and while it does not make up for the poor experience I had I do appreciate the belated communication. I bought a vehicle at this dealership in 2020 and happily went back for service every 5000 miles. Through mile 65,000 I was always satisfied, often surprised, at how quickly the work was completed. Then 70,000 mile service happened. Despite making an appointment a week in advance I was told upon arrival that my "express service" would take 2-2.5 hours. I told the service advisor I had an email coupon I had received for a 19.95 oil change, which was the only service required. He knew nothing about this and told me to email him the coupon, which I did. After 2.5 hours in the crowded waiting room (others were grumbling about the "speed" of service) I was told the car was ready. And was presented an invoice for roughly four times the amount of the offer. After clarifying that the 70,000 mile service included only an oil change, I reminded the advisor of the coupon. He immediately tore up the invoice and produced another one for the correct amount. It was either an attempt to rip off a longtime loyal customer, or just incredibly indifferent and poor service from the advisor. Later that day I went on the website and expressed my feelings in the customer feedback section. Nobody read it, apparently, because a week later I have yet to hear from anyone at Earnhardt. So I called today, a week later, and left a message for Nick, the service manager. No response. It's incredible to me how much the customer experience at this dealership has declined over just a few months. Not sure if it's new management or what exactly. read more

Outstanding Service - Earnhardt Toyota in Mesa "THE BEST!!" I cannot say enough good things about the service department at Earnhardt Toyota in Mesa Az. I recently brought in my 2017 Toyota Prius V for an ABS actuator issue. After doing extensive research, I knew this could easily turn into one of those nightmare stories you hear about where customers are dismissed, delayed, or stuck paying for a known defect. That was not my experience here... not even close. From the moment I contacted them, the service team took my concerns seriously. There was no hesitation and no runaround. They handled the repair professionally and efficiently. The ABS actuator was fixed properly and my car now runs perfectly.They even provided me with a loaner vehicle, which made the entire experience stress-free. I've read countless stories about other Toyota owners being ignored or "screwed" at different dealerships but that was not the case here. We had a horrible horrible experience with this dealer, we didn't come in to buy a new truck, it was 10 years old and had been there for a month, they discounted it by 500.00 and we came up on our offer by 1000.00 we now are around 800.00 apart and they wouldn't do any more because they make more financing it then us paying cash, their comment not mine. He was On point, and we picked a time. When my wife and I arrived, the car was ready, waiting and cooling in the shade. EXCELLENT. I didn't like the Camry, but during the test drive Austin listened to me on what I was looking for...when we got back he suggested an entirely different car based on what I had talked about.
