I know she said she used to live in the Bay Area. She gave us a great car that we enjoyed for 4 days. When we checked out, my sister met us to take us to the airport. When we were getting ready to leave, my sisters new VW bug wouldn't start. She had never had that issue before and was a little dumbfounded. We waited and it still wouldn't start. We started to get worried that we wouldn't get to the airport on time. My husband was trying to help my sister troubleshoot the issue and I went inside to use the bathroom. I mentioned to the woman that my sisters car wasn't starting and she said that the tire center that was connected to Avis could help if we needed it. I came out of the bathroom and my sisters car was running! The woman had gone out to help and apparently it was a glitch where the steering wheel locked and it was very common in VW bugs. We were so impressed and thankful that she went out of her way to help us! We couldn't have been more pleased with our experience. Highly recommend and thank you again!!

Worst car rental experience ever! The battery in the car we…read morerented died the day we were to depart for the second leg of our vacation. We called Avis Emergency Roadside Service, expecting service like AAA provides. Ha! That didn't happen. The Avis ERS contractor did not carry batteries and told us not to turn off the car after he started it, and to go back to the airport to exchange the vehicle. It took us over 7 hours, much of which we spent in a hotel lobby, since we had checked out, waiting for the Avis ERS driver to show up. To its credit, Avis reimbursed us for the entire cost of the car rental plus $200. That was nice. But two days after we returned from our vacation, Avis had the gall to send us a bill for emergency road service! At the beginning of the rental period, Avis also initially charged us for an upgrade when it did not have available the category of car that we had reserved. That was an unwelcome first for us.

That's because these smaller locations are so strapped for vehicles that they can only rent them as come back in from other renters. Then they have to look over the car and wash it -- so it takes time. My suggestion would be to check-in, make sure your phone number is up to date, and then go grab a bite to eat or do a little local shopping. I'm currently in the waiting room (have been for about an hour), and the reason I'm giving this location 5 starts simply for the kind customer service. The staff is busy, doing what they can, and making sure to treat everyone kind despite the very upset customers. I notice the phone is ringing and ringing, so that would be one area they can improve on. Kudos to a team who stays calm under stress. Thanks for the kindness!

When I brought the 4runner in for service ( at 50,000 miles) I was expecting an oil and filter change and a tire rotation. Again, I had just purchased the 4runner 6-8 months ago. Instead, I received a $660 bill for the oil (over $1,000 less discount coupons). Oil filter tire rotation, new rear brakes and all fluids needing to be replaced. Now if the SUV needed service, well it needed service. I paid the bill but mentioned to the service manager that other dealers would have done the service before selling me the SUV. I wrote them and well forgot about it. OK, I'm 77 and remembered a time when businesses believed in service, not just bottom line. OK we all drive differently and most of my driving his highway so yes I am used to getting a lot more miles before needing new brakes and all oils changed. But for me, well, whatever service it needed, it needed. $660.00 isn't going to make or break me and life goes on. And I do love my 4runner. Well, I was in the Gym when I received a call from Earnhardt Toyota off of US60 and Power Road. I was not expecting a call from the dealership. It was the service manager who when I answered the phone started off by telling me read the email, I sent to him about a week ago (note the email was factual as I saw things, not nasty at all). He apologized for the delay in getting back to me, Nick, the manager said he had spoken to someone above him and in reviewing their records agreed with me. Nick said that they should have done a lot of the service before I purchased the 4runner. Nick was calling me to say that of the $660.00 I had paid for service, that they were refunding $620.00. Now this would have been normal maybe 40 years ago, but not these days. Now many companies no longer act this way and Earnhardt Toyota and Nick and all who were making this decision sort of left me speechless. And for those who know me being speechless does not happen often to me. I am more used to being disappointed in society then being impressed. Again being 77 years old, I remember a gentler, kinder and more customer friendly time. Earnhardt already had the sale from me buying the 4Runner and I had already paid for the service. Also, I am not buying a Fleet of vehicles so who cares what I think and how I feel. Well, I guess Earnhardt Toyota did. Now yes, I do have a local auto repair shop who is about 4 miles from my house and Earnhardt Toyota is a good 20 miles from me. But in my many years I have learned that when a company gives good service and is honest with you, yes, you reward them by going back to them. I just wanted all to know how this played out. Many, many, many months ago before they were officially released or available I began the Journey to get the exact 2026 RAV4 PHEV we wanted to replace our fantastic 21 RAV4 Prime Premium. I Don't pay over MSRP, I don't accept "mandatory" dealer, or port installed options that I didn't want. I am the customer, I want what I want, not what is available. I contacted several Toyota dealers in Texas with what I wanted and asked them to call the minute they got an allocation for it and I would buy it. Texas is never 1st on the list for plug in vehicles as of April 22 3026 I am unaware of any Texas dealers having any allocations. I also have very low confidence in a smooth transaction with any Texas (Gulf States Toyota) dealer. I also contacted Jordan Smith at Earnhardt, who has sold 3 vehicles to family members, and another Jordan at Corwin Toyota in Colorado. I gave them both the same information. The DAY the allocations were released to BOTH of those dealers Jordan Smith at Earnhardt Toyota sent me a screenshot of the EXACT car I asked for that said "Presold to me by Jordan Smith". For giggles, I checked the Corwin website, they also had one, a month and a half later NO contact whatsoever. It's ok though I am driving one now... As if that wasn't enough, Jordan Smith at Earnhardt Toyota assisted/facilitated working with a 3rd party to get my desired tint and ppf applied to the car prior to us flying to Mesa to pick it up. This car is a unicorn, getting it at MSRP is as much as one can expect. Jordan Smith helped with the 3rd party and went above and beyond. Bravo, and thank you Jordan Smith.

I had selected the "wild card" rental but…read morewas given a Tesla without one helpful tip as to how to deal with unlocking, driving, charging this newer technology. This was an inappropriate placement for someone on a business trip with very little time to spare to deal with charging the vehicle. I was unsuccessful with charging the car, despite locating a Tesla compatible charging station and downloading the app while standing outside in 100 degree heat. Therefore, I went up to the customer service desk when I returned the car (the next day... two days early on a three day rental) Thrifty charged me more than 50 cents per mile (41 miles for $22.45). They chose not to accommodate my request to waive the charging fee despite being able to validate that I did attempt to charge the car. The wait time at counter was unreasonably long at both pick up and check in. This seemed to be due to Thrifty staffing the desk with only one representative for both check in and check out. His manager would not talk with me when the desk rep called him. Instead he made the choice to put his corporate overlords ahead of a reasonable request from a customer. This was my absolute worst car rental experience.

Just had a great experience with Enterprise here in Gilbert!…read more It's definitely a smaller location, but they seem to have a great operation. Had a few options a Jetta (2026) or a convertible Mustang. The Mustang (2026) wasn't quite ready as would have had to wait, which I didn't really have the time nor was it spacious enough for the amount of things I'd be traveling with. Due to that, it was quite small for my needs. In moving forward with the Jetta, I was only asked one time if I wanted insurance (I declined). When I went to pick up the car, the agent (Daniel) walked around the car with me for the drive-away inspection. I do recommend taking pictures of any (any!!) dings, scratches, imperfections etc. even with the agent tending to mark them on the contract be vigilant. Supposedly, Enterprise doesn't charge for small dings, etc., but I still wanted photographic proof, with him in the shot, and recognizing my observations and ensuring that everything was taken into account. Returning the car was quick and easy and should receive my deposit back within 2 business days! The Jetta got great gas mileage & would recommend this location for your travel needs.
