Just had a great experience with Enterprise here in Gilbert! It's definitely a smaller location, but they seem to have a great operation. Had a few options a Jetta (2026) or a convertible Mustang. The Mustang (2026) wasn't quite ready as would have had to wait, which I didn't really have the time nor was it spacious enough for the amount of things I'd be traveling with. Due to that, it was quite small for my needs. In moving forward with the Jetta, I was only asked one time if I wanted insurance (I declined). When I went to pick up the car, the agent (Daniel) walked around the car with me for the drive-away inspection. I do recommend taking pictures of any (any!!) dings, scratches, imperfections etc. even with the agent tending to mark them on the contract be vigilant. Supposedly, Enterprise doesn't charge for small dings, etc., but I still wanted photographic proof, with him in the shot, and recognizing my observations and ensuring that everything was taken into account. Returning the car was quick and easy and should receive my deposit back within 2 business days! The Jetta got great gas mileage & would recommend this location for your travel needs. read more

I have been using this Enterprise Rent-A-Car at Gilbert and Hampton for over 10 years; with no issues or problems. I do drop off my rentals when the location is open so they can inspect the vehicle. Everyone at this location has been professional, friendly and courteous. I had a wonderful conversation with another customer while waiting for a ride back home. He too agreed this location is terrific. I not only love the people who work for Enterprise but the fact that they will pick me up and take me home is a major plus also. They don't know how to call you back! I dropped off my car at fix auto the other day I called enterprise to make sure they knew I dropped it off the guy I talked to said "we will go pick it up and we will call you back!" They never did. So I called back yesterday and once again they said "the car is being picked up as we speak, let us call you back once we get it over here" guess what?? They never called me back! I called them again after work and we finally went over the bill and what not.. still haven't received a final email and what not from Then.. guess what I have to call them back later! I arrived to pick up my rental and was informed the vehicle was not available due to a recall. I was told the closest vehicle they could replace it with was smaller. Being that I needed the vehicle, I went with it. After waiting for about 20 minutes for them to "clean it" since it was dropped off after hours, I was informed that they found that vehicle to have been returned with "damage" and they couldn't rent it to me. They miraculously found another vehicle that was the same size as my original reservation to replace the replacement with. Of course, this vehicle needed to be cleaned too. After 1 hr 15 minutes, I was finally on my way. I returned the car on the sceduled date and time (Saturday afternoon) only to find out they were closed. I locked the car and left the keys in the dropbox. Monday mid morning I receive a call from the location manager Mack Neiman asking what I did to the car. He wanted to know what I did to cause damage to the drivers side. I did no damage to the vehicle and it was in the exact same condition as when I picked it up. I told him that since it sat in their parking lot for almost 2 days, something must have happened to it then. I was told it doesn't matter and is my fault. When I suggested that one of the employees may have damaged it, I was abruptly told NO, none of my employees would do that. Guess what, I didn't do it and this was the situation with another vehicle returned overnight the morning I was picking up my rental car. Not too far fetched that something is either going on with an employee OR they have a parking lot situation. Apparently, they failed to tell me that what I should have done was keep the car an additional two days (that I would have been charge for) instead of returning it ON TIME using the drop box, to ensure nothing happened to the vehicle in their parking lot. I asked if they had security cameras in the parking lot, and of course was told no. I would 100% take care of any damage I had caused. What upsets me is their lack of transparency about the after hours return policy and the fact that the manager didn't for one second consider any other possibility than I damaged the vehicle. I have never been treated like this and I have never returned a vehicle damaged. I will never rent from this company again. They treat their customers like crap, have poor management and are incompetent. read more

I needed to rent a car due to my car being repaired after I was hit. Insurance set up rental through Enterprise. I've rented with Enterprise for personal reasons in the past with no issues. I will not rent through Enterprise again nor encourage anyone else to do so. I had no size requirement or anything like that as I just needed to get to work and back. I was given a Mitsubishi Mirage which seemed fine when I drove surface streets home however when I had to drive on the 202 to get to work, it was awful. Very difficult to keep in the lane, very very rough to drive. I called Enterprise three days after picking up the car and inquired if I could swap to a different vehicle at some point in the next four days as the following week I was expected to travel to Tucson for work. I was told they had no availability. I ended up having to take the day off work because I was not going to be driving that car on the 10 from Gilbert to Tucson and back. I was told to leave the rental at the collision place when I picked up my car. Which I did, no issue. The rental was clean and exactly how I had rented it. I was than contacted the following day being notified there was damage and what had happened. They advised damage was on the roof. I had no idea what they were talking about. When I dropped off the vehicle, it was fine. If damage did occur it must have happened after it was dropped off at the collision center. If I had known there was no one there to inspect vehicle from Enterprise upon return I would have driven the rental to enterprise and dropped off instead of leaving it at collision center. I have been driving for 20yrs and have never had damage to my personal vehicle that I drive on a daily basis until someone hit me in my apt complex parking lot in January 2024 hence why I needed this rental in the first place. Now I am being asked to pay over $700 in repairs to vehicle I did not damage. Never again, for personal or any other reason will I use Enterprise. read more

Our visit to this branch was okay, but we will not be returning. I have been using enterprise since I have been able to rent a car. Not once have I ever had to pay for my partner to be an additional driver, even though we are not married but lived in the same house hold. (Maybe i always got lucky?????) The rep who helped us went on to tell us multiple ways to wave the fee, but wouldn't wave it. When asked if I should cancel our reservation and book another one with Costco (since this is away to wave the fee) he said "idk its pretty busy, you could lose your spot". So we of course didnt want that to happen and we went on with the day. I know they have the ability to wave the fee and I just feel like it could have been done even after I suggested pulling up old reservations to show my partners name was listed but the fee was not. read more

I came to Enterprise from Hertz previous nightmare experience to them? I felt like I had landed in heaven and been validated completely from my horrible experience at Hertz. The rental experience at Enterprise was professional, personable, fast and efficient and overall kind and pleasant. Enterprise you are doing something right in training and hopefully compensating you employees to show grace and appreciation to your customers. I was worried that when I came later to pick up my rental they would've required additional verification of my Identity so I brought everything! Erika looked at my temp ID for a second and said I was good to go. My mom was definitely happy to see me and I'm glad to be home for a couple days. So thank you Enterprise! I have been renting cars here for about 5 years. Recently I had yet another great experience with this branch, and I felt it was worth posting. I had a car reserved about an hour prior to closing on a Saturday. I was late, and the staff was getting ready to close for the day. They had the car I had reserved ready, but that particular car was not equipped with satellite radio. The staff actually stayed a bit late to find me a car that had satellite radio. I later discovered that the manager "Bret", had left a phone message with me to see if I was ok and still coming in. Francisco was also working that day, and as always those guys took great care of me. I've always been able to get good rates at this location, and the employees have always been very professional and friendly. I've rented over 20 times there, and have always had the same quality service. read more

Frustrated. They attempted to give us a car with bald and cracking tires. Upon pointing this out, the salesman decides to try to convince is with a ruler that no, the treads still have depth and would be perfectly safe for our road trip from Phoenix to Vegas. My sister points out that she used to work for a car rental company, and while there is depth, the treads are totally worn down to slickness and the back tires have visible cracks in them, and that is a straight up safety hazard. Oh, they finally agreed to get us a new car. ... Which they have to locate because they're busy and cars are in short supply. Sigh. read more

Had a very bad experience at this Enterprise Rent-A-Car. Walking thru the door we were greeted by a gentleman who seemed very helpful. Did tHe preliminary paperwork and our rental car was pointed out to us. We then were shuffled off to a guy to complete the process. His intro to us was "Let's party"! And we followed him to our rental. Car looked good, then he started his sales pitch to get us to buy insurance, which we didn't do. We never do. After us saying no, he proceeded to point out all of the things that could go wrong, all of the calamities that await us. We were on our way to Sedona from the greater Phoenix area and he pulled a statistic out of his ass: "There's a 75% chance we will get a crack in our windshield" during the rental period. We said no again. Then we got to the payment part. We produced our card, which we always use as a credit card. We have used this same card/account for over 10 years without a hitch. And always as a credit card. Not once as a debit card. He said it's a debit card and they couldn't use it. We offered cash and they said they don't take cash. I get it - shit happens. But this guy was rude and demeaning. If the Enterprise business practice for payment follows this guy's direction then minimally this information should be posted as the customer reaches the initial point of encounter. We rent cars 6-8 times a years, but our business will never be with Enterprise again. read more

Really frustrated with their service. I booked my rental car at 9:30 am this morning. Was told someone would pick me up but most of the workers were out so it might be 15 minutes before they leave to pick me up. I called back 25 minutes later for an update and I was totally fine taking an Uber to get my car. I found out my car was not available. I called twice myself for updates and didn't get anywhere. I was promised a call back and never got one. It's now 4 hours later. This is terrible customer service for a company I usually choose even if they are a few bucks more. This location clearly has poor management. I'll be going elsewhere. Update: Area Manager stepped in and helped me out. Appreciate how she handled the situation. read more

Pop the hood and check the engine before you leave!! My husband picked up the rental car and drove it approx 20 miles to bring it to me. He's a car guy, so he decided to pop the hood to check out the engine. To our shock and surprise, the engine was loaded with prickly pears and cacti! We couldn't believe it! It was everywhere! Even down in the engine compartments. I called them right away, complained and demanded another car. I asked them if they check under the hood before they rent vehicles and they said not all the time. WHAT?!? Unbelievable. They said they would get back to me, but they never did. I called again and they directed me to the Enterprise on Bell Road, which is near my home. I drove another 20 miles. When I showed them the car, they were shocked too. They informed me that they always check their engines. This could of been a very dangerous situation. So thankful that nothing happened to us in the 40 miles we drove in the car. Worst experience I have ever had. Horrendous customer service. I usually love enterprise but after this time around I am never going back. While turning the car in we were unpacking our things (car seat, etc) and they kept locking the doors on us to the car while trying to finish up packing eating our breakfast. They said they could not give us a ride home for 20 mins so we went back to the rental to start gathering our things and decided to stop and finish off our breakfast sandwich while packing, (which took maybe 3 min) and they kept locking the doors and coming out to check if we were done. I mean I'm talking well under ten minutes to get our stuff out of the car. And they weren't available to do anything like take us for our courtesy ride home. Nobody said the second I check you out you forfeit the belongings in the car and must evacuate the vehicle. Had I known that I would have started taking my belongings out of the car before ever stepping foot in car to avoid harassment from staff. We had to wait thirty minutes to be driven home by staff that was currently in the store the entire time and then on the drive home they had the windows rolled down and the ac on full blast in 40 degree morning weather. I asked multiple times to please turn the ac off I'm freezing" he pretended not to hear. Then I asked again and he turned the ac off. Then I also had to ask for him to close the window. When he did he then turned the ac on. This all seemed very petty and very disheartening. I am a nurse. I worked a 13 hour shift in the icu that night. Had to turn the car in after work in the morning because somebody hit me and totaled the car and I only had three days to buy a new one and haven't found one yet. The insurance company refused to continue my rental car, so I was forced to go there after work. I would have much rather have paid for more days then to have such an awful experience after working a long and hard night trying to save lives. I'm disgusted. Verbally harassed by an employee that was listening into a rental agreement conversation. Yes, this guy, Brandon, was listening in on a conversation and smirking at me. When I asked is everything is ok, Brandon asked "what's wrong with you". I have to admit this was not my most happy self, but I was also not unhappy but monotone in my answers. When he said it a second time, luckily the branch manager, Ryan Guyre, heard it and was going to talk with him. No matter what the disciplinary actions will be, if I'm being harassed who else is! This is the first time in my life this has happened. (Im 6 foot 1 inch, 224, athletic and fit, carry myself well and strong character as one would have being a martial artist of 30 years). Just had a horrible experience at this location. I RESERVED a car with a noon pickup time. Walked in around 12:08 and was greeted with a dirty look by the tired grumpy girl behind the counter. A few minutes later another guy walks in and says "you realize we close at noon, right?" No. I didn't know that. If you close at noon, why do you have noon pick up times?? So we show him our reservation and he states he doesn't have any cars. Ummmm. But I made a reservation. Isn't that the point of a reservation? Just stupid. Great service! Really personable dudes working behind the counter! Jack and I can't remember the other one's name but he looks a little bit like James Marsden. Anyway, I guess my complaint is more for Enterprise than for this particular branch. I was rented a car that seemed mechanically disadvantaged. The other associate (not Jack) warned me that the car would not be comfortable. That's fair. But I felt like the car was going to break down. I was in town for a busy wedding weekend so there was no time for me to exchange the car at the airport like one of the other associates told me when I called Saturday morning after picking up the rental on Friday. On top of that, the car hadn't been fully cleaned and smelled like someone had smoked in it before I rented it. Again, didn't have time to exchange it after I realized that it wasn't just me-- my mom could smell it and see it, too. I felt the 5% off coupon for next time as an apology for the experience with the car was kind of cheap. I am trying not to be ungrateful for being offered anything at all, but I thought they would have comped one of my rental days, or offered me a free upgrade for my next rental, or something. 5% off of a $40 rental is $2... not really what I expected from Enterprise. Despite the car itself being junky, the service was great. My mom always uses this Enterprise and she has always felt taken care of by the staff. Nice guys, would rent again! read more

There are few business that make me want to just go get their product because if how wonderful they are ... This enterprise location is one of them. I drive a relatively newer car so renting is optional but I love the employees, the manager Jack is always I it! Love the ease of renting and charges are always what they say. And sometimes I'm even upgraded at no charge. Even though they are a busy branch I always get taken care of...picked up and dropped off from home and made to feel like my business matters! I got into an accident yesterday. My insurance covers a rental for up to a little over a thousand dollars. They sent me to enterprise. And I could not be any happier with the service I got. I got a sweet young lady on the phone who was so genuine and answered every question I had. I needed a ride and she sent Alex to come and get me at work. What a sweet pea! He picked me up at the time I requested and didn't complain one bit! Super friendly! Picked me up in the car I was receiving as my rental and what a beauty. Way more than I expected for sure! They listened to all my stories and let me tell you, I had a very poopy weekend with my car accident. I was very surprised at how they made me feel like I was family. Smiles everywhere! He can only fit in specific cars ( he needs electric seats and other features in order to be able to get into and out of the car safely. ) Jami was able to get us in the exact car he was getting fixed that way he was comfortable.
